Lincoln Park selects Emily Armstrong from Rock Band Dead Sara as new singer reveals tour an album from zero Colin Britain a songwriter and producer for G flip elenium and one okay rock will also join the group as a drummer this is very interesting news to me because I don't usually follow B so closely that I know every single single thing that's happening the details the drama NE greedy kind of stuff so I don't know if this was teased in the months to come or if it was just a shock and and everyone just got the news at the same time but I still find it like very interesting so I pulled up a couple articles which I haven't gone through I pulled up uh the new song The Emptiness machine and the life stream and I'm going to link everything in the description below if you guys want to check it down on your own time and also uh I didn't script anything for this I just jolted down a couple of notes stuff that I want to to talk about in regards to the music live streaming and whatnot so let's get on to this this one is by than Garcia on variety and says Lincoln Park's new co-vocalist will be Emily Armstrong of the band dad Sarah the band announced Thursday during a live performance event Colin Britain a songwriter and producer for G flip and one rock will also join the group as a drummer just repeated the title so the announcement came with a new single The Emptiness machine the band's first new music released in seven years um the set will arrive on November 15 uh the group which is composed by Mike Shinoda Brad Nelson Phoenix Johan also with these two new members and this was something that uh Sparkle like a little bit interest for me to go in and look for what happened to Rob like the the previous drummer uh more into that in a in a bit Lincoln Park performed together for the first time in Los Angeles on Thursday for ticketed fans who were transported by buses to a Studio Lot the event was live streamed and will be available to VI on LinkedIn part's official online channel for the next 24 hours oh this is interesting uh are they removing this after I thought it was a great live stream uh shoda Delson uh far uh farell and Han quietly began meeting up again in recent years and rather than trying to restart the band they work with numerous musicians and found a special kingship with Armstrong and Britain she notic that in a statement before Lincoln Park our first band name was zero this uh this album title refers to both this humble beginning at the journey we're currently undertaking I I really like this kind of stuff uh it made a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates uh we were proud of uh what Lincoln Park has become over the years uh I'm just reading the the article uh as we go because I haven't touched any of these except for realizing that there was a new band member and then getting like another article which is addresses uh the founding drummer Rob bordon departure we'll get to that in a second so pre-sale tickets for the from 02 will be available the announcement follows LinkedIn Park list of its paper cut singles collection and uh from zero there's a few tour dates and and whatnot so moving on to this like I said I don't really want to know exactly all the dram or anything so I hope we can skip all that I just wanted to to know exactly what happened or more or less what happened so they uh addressed the departure of founding member drummer Rob B bordon and see what they have to say below let's look for the first quote uh sh know to explain robett said to us at point I guess it was a few years ago now that he wanted to put some distance between himself and the band and we understood that it was already apparent he was starting to just show up less be in less contact and I know the fans notice it too the the Hybrid Theory release and paper cuts release it didn't show up for anything so for me as a friend that was sad but at the same time I want him to do whatever makes him happy and obviously everybody wishes him the best I think this is as far as I'm going to going to go uh I'm going to it's like what whichever path he chooses to to take I think it's like uh everyone needs to kind of respect that kind of things we we can never tell what's going on people's minds like everyone has like a different story everyone has a different agenda so as long as he's happy doing whatever he's doing uh I wish him nothing but the best uh I'm guessing that they vibed with Colin uh start making stuff for whatever we were going to do I like this and then when Lincoln Park start making stuff for whatever we were going to do it was just like oh calling we're making stuff you should come over that's the best thing that's exactly how you want to to get into the band when people Vibe with you and then all of a sudden you just like start getting calls and then you go like yeah let's go and VI with him so this is the two articles uh I did go and check like uh Emily's uh dead Sarah didn't pull up anything uh but I got stuck so some interesting vibes from her so one of the things that I I put I jolted down on my notes Here is that the immediate vibe that I got from Emily was that it reminded me of a crush of mine Sandra nasik from uh Guano Apes and uh I'm not going to say that I uh I I kind of vibe like straight away with this now as the song is starting I I like what they're doing here where everyone is just doing their own thing and everyone just seems that they moved out from from the band and they're just doing their these mundane jobs I didn't pay too much attention to the lyrics it just felt like sometimes they were just going through a little bit too pop music with Too Much lyrics too many things being said it's just it kind of like breaching in between like just rapping and just having too many lyrics to the song but I like the way that she's like at the end of the day she's like getting a drink or something and everyone just gets pulled up to this bar or something uh I thought it was funny cuz Mike was already there serving drinks but he still got pulled up there so let me see what I have here first thing I came across uh was the music video listen to The Very I did listen to the very end before I make any assumptions of of or decisions or what I want to but I'm just going to say that I was almost immediately hooked um and uh off the bat I really liked it I lik what they were doing because I think I saw Sandra nask doing this and then doing the growls and everything so it sounded it sounded good to me now this is also coming from someone that skipped a lot of Lincoln Park uh material in the last few years maybe because I was just too stuck in the first two albums and the first two remixes but maybe they just move into this direction in the last few years and I didn't even notice where they become like a little bit more pop uh or the lyrics change or something but that's just the impression that I got and I might just need to listen to some of their uh more recent stuff recent stuff just to get uh a b a bit more of a briding the Gap to what this song is but I did like the chord progression I really like the song I like the way he just like it pushes a little bit into metal again and I think I like the way they're doing things so I I really enjoy this so also worth mentioning the obviously the the drummer changed and they kind of I'm not sure if they nuanced this in the video but the lyrics seem to to talk a lot about just New Beginnings starting from zero starting again restarting so it doesn't feel like they're that much continuing what Lincoln Park was but they're just like going back to basics and then just like restarting this again so it's still Lincoln Park but it's going to be like quite different so what else do I have here didn't dive too much uh into that drama yes band decision so the next theme I come across was the live gig so this is the live gig here and uh just going to go into the start the start with an um everyone's get gets into the the stage and then they start singing and everything and it's just it's great to see them like starting to sing s everything again and then just being on stage and and one of the things that was interesting that I found interesting is that the comment section started with a little bit uh a little bit harsh the moment Emily steps up in the stage and then they sort of I think they sort of warmed up to her so let's see what I have here uh yeah so from the comments the moment she start singing uh it felt like everyone was so shocked uh I mean I was only shocked I was only not shocked because I kind of knew like when they said like we announced Emily so I was kind of expecting this but what I felt like uh on the comment section is that she slowly warmed up through the gig and uh she eventually won everyone's heart or at least a big part of the audience so the even the live audience they see seem that they have gone through the same feelings where they were just like shocked at the start and people were like what's going on and then warmed up to it and then they were like oh okay I think this is this is what's going to be so I thought it this was very interesting um so one of the things that I've noticed uh uh and if you weren't there for the start of Lincoln Park when Lincoln Park really started let me in a little secret uh because I was there when they were first promoting like uh Hybrid Theory and stuff like their first album and Chester's vocals weren't that tight uh this this was this happened after a few years and uh early after the early concerts and and whatnot I remember one in particular with corn um superbox super Rock uh and he just he couldn't pull up like all the harsh vocals but he became better and he grew and became more vocally proficient and he did the the classes and and everything so to the point that you would go to a Lincoln Park concert and it was just really that good so it wasn't there at the start and this is something that it feels like uh Emily is on I'm not saying that she's not proficient I'm not saying that she's not a really good crowler or anything what I'm saying is that it's very hard to do the things that Chester did and she knows that she's on stage and she's going to be uh judged by it and she missed a couple notes and then she there was a few times where she just couldn't pull it but I think she did a good job preserving her voice for the entirety of the concert which lasted I don't know maybe an hour or something uh and uh I think it's uh she she did a great job so let me see what I what else I have here uh it's not easy to do what Chester did yes and to be on the spotlight to compare uh noticeable that sometimes Emily couldn't pull some of the growls and if you listen to it like you you'll notice that there was a few times where she was she kind of like she broke a little bit the voice and it was also like a little bit of nervousness on stage you can see by the way she's acting like what the way she keeps her hands and and she's constantly like has like arm folded and whatnot but throughout the concert you see that she gradually gets like a little bit more comfortable and I really like that I really like that um she left the final cour as the final course were being played so at the end of the concert uh they're they're finishing the concert just before they go in into their into an unar the final cords are being played and then she left the stage and I didn't really quite understand what was what was happening there I thought that she was just like let letting the band members have like a little bit of time with their fans again is like this is our comeback and just being respectful of it but then kind of sorted to hint at an UNC core so they came back for a couple more songs talked a little bit to the crowd uh I'm surprised that paper cut wasn't the last song I thought it was going to be the last song they announced some stuff like so the the new merch and the new album and tour dates and then on the last on the last few courts she does something that I thought it was interesting so she has like a couple of moments too let's see if I can find them uh very quickly I don't want to be like losing too much time with this but she has like a couple of moments she has like this one at the very end where she just jumps on onto the drums and then it's kind of like it's a moment with the the the drummer and I kind of like this cuz it's kind of like yeah we we kind of made it and stuff right um and then we're part of the band and stuff like the two of us she has another one where she's just like just with Mike singing and stuff so I'm not going to spoil it uh if I can find it here I'll pull it but if not like it's okay but she has like a moment where she's singing with Mike and then I think that they get along fine and stuff but one thing that I really liked is that uh she came across like respectful to me if that makes any sense so I noticed that she wasn't like too pushy she wasn't like just vibing way too much with the rest of the band Men members or anything she was just like respectful of of her place and she knows what she represents and she knows what she stands for and then she knows that a lot of people are not going to be happy and then it's always going to be Chester but at some stage you're going to have to move on and then that's my idea it's just that eventually you're just going to have to move on so a lot of love shown to fans by Mike as the band kind of like uh uh as the band was just finishing and leaving the stage it goes up up and then he just takes some time with the fans and and this is something that like you always want to see and then I'm I'm happy to see this um and um I'm really happy that they were able to turn the page because I don't know like this going to sound emotional I I think this is the only uh Ben the only musician that like kind of gets me this way because Lincoln Park was just so influential for me but you know uh Chester Spirit would just it's always going to be along us as long as we keep celebrating it and I'm really looking forward for this new Lincoln Park era cuz um I do like that they're coming back I do like that they're doing things again and if he has to be with these new B members so be it I just want to hear good music I just want some escapism I just want some good stuff to rock to so I'm really excited about this that's going to be it for me thanks very much for watching all of you guys stay metal
