on Earth the species that used to exist and the cataclysmic events that consumed life before us in your career that fans almost six decades uh you've done really cool projects but this new series Life on planet Earth is remarkable what Dre you to this you want the truth or should I make something of which one's more interesting now um I'm one of those people who's very very interested in this subject life on the [Music] planet you understand that today life on the planet is in a little bit of trouble MH and we're the cause of it that's right there have been if I remember correctly six extinction level events on the planet since life began I mean six times long large large portions of life not human life we're talking we're talking just life gone destroyed we're headed for another one scientists have said if we don't hurry up and change our ways there's going to be a cataclysmic event that will wipe many of us off the face of the Earth God isn't it hilarious how Morgan Freeman asked if they wanted to hear the truth or something that would be pleasurable for the panel perhaps Morgan knew about the panel's inability to cope with views different from theirs the fact that the extinction events like the one that happened with the dinosaurs and see that these events are likely to occur once in tens or hundreds of millions of years not to mention anthropogenic climate change is only a very minor part of human evolution that has only existed for a mere two centuries through thousands of years of human life it is certainly undeniable that there has been a shift in the environment as the estimates of global Waring put the number at 2 to 4° C which certainly requires our attention but it is not severe enough to turn the modern environmentalist worldview into Earth as tenacious considering more than 99 % of all 5 billion living species that have ever existed on earth have gone extinct in the 4.6 billion years of its existence this fact tells us that life is bound to exist and perish but the planet has remained resilient and adaptable to the changes of its inhabitants this is something who has watched his documentary would understand not some far-left environmentalists who treat the planet as primary life which leads them to conclude the humans as the destructive force not to mention that they have gone insane up to the point that they have been
