always the coolest man on the planet it's always nice to see you Robert um the audience from the beginning you know it's very easy for them superhero it works but with you you've given them a spark and Tony uh that spark their fire are you able to gauge what it was what it is I don't know I mean I love movies and I love uh folks you know throughout the years who have just brought a little something extra to the role it's hard to bring anything to anything you know it's nerve-wracking um being filmed but uh sometimes even just get a little bit comfortable and you think about uh if I were watching this movie what kind of character would I want to see and um you know I got pretty lucky it's a great character as well uh is the humor very important to everything I think it's important to everything um I know that it was a big part of what made Iron Man a little bit different from some of the other um genre movies that were coming out and um I think it's also in the right balance you know um overall Iron Man 3 has a has a fairly serious tone this time but saying that it's probably got some of the biggest laughs of any of the Marvel movies so it's always always about balance uh the fans adore the props the costumes Etc do you get over it at some point or is it still you know candid enthusiasm for you well I mean there be some days that I come to set and there's this hu sometimes the more elaborate is the more I act like it doesn't matter cuz what's important to me is like a guy with a screwdriver in his hand talking to a robot like you know that that's really what made these movies work um but now that I'm starting to get feedback on people seeing the finished product you know they're telling me that obviously all those uh big sequences work pretty good and I like seeing them in movies you know so I'm I'm glad we got a few do you ever sneak in a theater watch it with a real audience I do and as a matter of fact we make a tradition of doing that particularly with the Iron Man movie so don't be surprised surprised if I'm sitting in back don't don't scream too loud do you have the film career you always dreamed of um I didn't I didn't dream of this um uh and yet um I don't know I've had a really fun time in my 40s you know and now that uh I'm 48 and in a minute I'll be 50 you know uh you know I'll probably start thinking about doing some other stuff but I will always remember this period of my my life fondly and does being a family man ever change your perspective about Hollywood about acting about life I guess I think so you just want to be a little bit more careful because there's people that depend on you you know it's true and what can you tell us about the next Avengers uh I can tell you that I don't know any more about it than you do and I know nothing they're very good at keeping secrets absolutely Hollywood secrecy
