should about been warming up the car by now so this place was opened in 1968 when it opened it was known as Dy Brook Speedway opened by George Montgomery and Bud stall they had an NH sanction in the first top Fel race not an nhr National event but the very first top Fel race was won by a guy a guy named doc H look him up he's kind of a big deal won this thing and then they also had an indie car race a two heat indie car race I don't really know what that means but a two heat indie car race and you'll recognize these names if you're any kind of Motorsport guy at all one of them that won Gordon John the other one that won a guy named Dan gurnie pretty much Legends of Motorsports they also had km races here this place it's got a road course obviously a drag trip it's got a whole lot going on in 1973 this race was sold to a guy named Jerry Hansson and if you think about that last name Hansson his daughter is Courtney Hansson known from the TV show you know chip Bo all that Courtney Hansson so her dad actually bought this place they remed it D's International race RVE 1982 they had the very first ever nhr National event and it was one everybody's laughing at It Was Won by Shirley Mal Frank Holly won funny car and the legendary Lee Shepard won Pro Stock so there's your history record trainer International Raceway dny Brook whatever you want to call it 1968 that's it just drove into it lap one she was slow 864 215 325 pull the tires loose to a 4272 where you see Billy Torrance over at 373 332 it was just slow from the get-go for whatever reason um we have to
