putting this together um it's not we do something at Oma called Thea boost conference we do it just once in a year and I know the kind of plan learning that goes into doing an event that is just for one day talk less of an event that is going on for a whole month across I think four different cities in Nigeria that's not easy please stand up celebrate Pastor may she has done something great celebrate celebrate celebrate please celebrate her celebrate her she's indeed a leader yes she's indeed a leader and she's indeed influencing people in my you can sit down please in my work of um leadership I have really really come to understand that leadership is not about holding a leadership position Pastor Mayu might be your leader she might be holding that position but it's not about the position it's about the positioning I hope you got that it's not about holding a position it's about the positioning so she's been able to position herself to influence the lives of people holy God knows how many people were gathered in Lagos in abota in Abuja and Inon today and it's just all about influencing people influencing people to do positive things influencing people to do the right thing influencing people to work on the right path in life and like she said earlier on it comes with pain it will definitely come with pain so welcome to today's session I'm so glad to be here I'm honored to be here I give God all the glory hallu so you know what I'm referring to she's got Ste have I got the anyway today I'm going to be my I want you to say that after me I am becoming I am to become a leader to become a leader who influences people to become a leader who's going to change lives you have to become it's not a journey that starts in one day you have to move you have to realize that I am in a wrong place or I'm in a dissatisfied place I'm in a place that I'm not content with and I have to move from this place to that place and for you to move from one place to another place you have to become a different person and you cannot become a different person overnight you have to do it with time I remember the first time I was very discontent and let me tell you the truth but there's something different about the Holy Spirit there's something when you are discontent as a Christian and you want to know more you want to reinvent yourself you want to walk in the path of a leader and influence life it's different because then it eats you in a very very different and impactful way so because I am a Christian and I work with God I'm trying my best I was able to discover that you can only build yourself to become a transformational leader walking with Christ that is the only way you you can do it look you can do it the way the world wants it to be done but for you to be impactful you can only do it in Christ Jesus so I was discontent with myself as a business person while I was doing business I started business in in University 100 level I started with 5,000 air I went to the market I went to buy earrings to sell you know and I did that throughout my University days people insulted me people abused me you know she ask this girl from this very good family that is selling earrings I did not care because I know who I was you have to know who you are as a leader if you don't know who you are people will talk trash about you you will think about the trash and you'll be depressed so I came out of school and I was still doing this fashion business that was the J Jacobs they mentioned I was doing fashion business and I was doing it excellently whatever you do in every stage of your life please I'm begging you in every stage of your life whatever your aunt finds to do to do it excellently don't say this is not what I want to do with myself no this is not the job I wanted this is not the career I wanted for myself this is not the path I wanted to to I'm just finding myself here I just want to do it till I do the right thing I just want to do this till I get what I want that's what you're doing till you get what you want if you don't do it excellently you can't get what you want because it is in the doing that you will get that people will see you people will notice you people will be attracted to you so at every stage of your life please honor it honor every single stage of your life in the little in the much please honor it so while I was doing this business I became very discontent because I was like I want more I want more out of life I this can't just be it sit down in the shop come to the shop attend to women attend to you know sometimes because I attend to women mostly I have a lot of married women that will come to my shop come and discuss about their husbands relationships I mean that helped me to grow too because I learned a whole lot on that cushion so we'll sit down g g g just and I'm like there's more to life I can do more you know I want something I don't know what it was but I think it was just God on the inside of me that was making me feel God wanted me to be discontent wanted me because if you are not discontent you cannot move if you are not discontent you cannot be called if you're not discontent that Journey cannot start that discontentment has to be there so I was so discontent and I was like what do I do and as usual I went for my Wednesday service I go for weekly service then I used to go for weekly service I go I was I went for um for weekly service and then they put the screen up the pastor wasn't going to preach that evening they're going to transmit something on YouTube for US ah at some point I was like maybe I should just go since he not it's just going to so for those of you in ABA enjoy us so don't go home so I was like okay you know what let me just sit down and then they put this man up John Maxwell so I'm wondering who the heck is this guy so this guy speaks for 35 minutes I can never forget it was just 35 minutes and my life changed completely if I tell you that I remember what he said that day I'm lying I can't even remember but something shifted on the inside of me leadership what is it about leadership everything let me tell you today every single thing from your faith from your family from your Finance everything Rises and falls on leadership come you can't and I will tell you understanding leadership and its principles is a journey if you study the life of Jesus Christ if you really study the Bible the life of Jesus Christ is an embodiment of leadership from being compassionate from loving people from I mean you could see the way Jesus Christ loved people how compassionate it was that is leadership in our today's world they would say that is weakness it's not weakness it's called leadership so I was so discontent I got back home and I'm like okay this John Maxwell I Googled him I said okay let me find out what this guy is all about and I watched about three YouTube videos that night and my old body was just shaking you know when you when you're listening to something that had fed my mind that's one thing I had fed my mind with John Max back to back that evening for like four hours when I went to bed my subconscious had received a whole lot of message and he was feeding my Consciousness so I was asleep and all I could think of was leadership how do I understand it how do I learn it how do I become come and that was how the Journey of my becoming started that was how the Journey of my becoming started and the rest is history today I have spent thousands of dollars understanding leadership so when they tell you that you should go and learn you should go for this conference go for this Summit to go and learn and you're saying it's too expensive I pity you because people are sharing secrets of how to become successful people will not just sit down with you in Mr big is it talizer so what is what are we eating now kjaro and be discussing how to be rich with you or how to be successful in life with you and it all starts with this leadership everything how to be successful in your marriage we have different women in this room I know that if I have a session a one-on-one session with every single woman in this room you all have your your different problems that you're going through everyone has issues I have my own issues too but how do you stay above those issues how do you stay above all those problems it's by understanding leadership principles it's by I want to read a Bible passage to us Luke chapter 10 from 38 to 42 Luke chapter 10 from 38 8 to 42 can I read now it came to pass as they went that he entered into a certain Village and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house and she had a sister called Mary which also sat at Jesus's feet and heard his word but Mara was cumbered about much serving and came to him and said Lord D thou not care that my sister sister had left me to serve alone be her therefore that she help me and Jesus answered and said unto her Mara Mara at at careful and troubled about many things but one thing is needful and Mary had chosen the good path which shall not be taken away from our there are worries in this life life there will always be worries I know and I see women who are always filled up with activities running up and down up and down oh I want to get this done oh I want to get that done oh my children can oh my son is this oh my daughter don't kill yourself if you kill yourself the Life Will Go On I'm telling you Life Will Go On Life Will Go On in 3 years the family will go and make the and say won't you Remar so M thought she was doing it for Jesus Christ she was running up and down trying to serve Jesus trying to attend to the disciples trying to I'm not saying it's a bad thing I'm not saying it's a bad thing there's a Time For Everything Jesus Christ was teaching at this particular point in time and what did Mary do Mary sat down at the feet of Jesus Jesus and she was sucking in this knowledge let me shock you today information knowledge is power and you need power to change your life you need power to change your life on the in this earth in this world information and knowledge are power in the spiritual realm the Holy Spirit on the inside of you is your source of power now you now match the Holy Spirit on the inside of you with that knowledge and information that you have HH that's recipe recipe for greatness I'm telling you because the holy spirit will just keep ministering to you the Bible says in Ephesians 3:20 he said unto him who is able to do exceedingly and above according to the power according to the what do you have power working in you do you have power working in you are you sure you have power working with you this power comes from knowledge it comes from information there's so much information and knowledge out there even I every day when I get new information and knowledge I am surprised and if you don't walk if you don't look for it if you don't get to a stage where you want to reinvent yourself and become you will not come across that information and you know the funny thing there are times when the information is right there in front of you the knowledge is right there in front of you to move from point A to point B but you cannot recognize it because you don't even understand what it means to be a leader like I said before in the beginning leadership is not a position you do have to be the governor of a state you don't have to be the MD of a bank being a wife being a mother being whoever you are in your little sphere of influence you have to lead you have to understand leadership principles you have to be able to abide by them when she was speaking she mentioned a whole lot of principles I know you've had the whole lot in the past one month and it's not it's not all about hearing it it's about putting it to work it's about doing what you have to put it to work because let me tell you something if you don't lead yourself as a person if you're not able to lead yourself you cannot lead others you cannot influence others so it is not position it is positioning you have to lead yourself and then start to position yourself that John Maxwell I went to look for him oh I went to America to look for him I went to his conference I've been to several programs he has an online platform I'm a member of that platform whatever it takes whatever it takes and then one day I was on TV I saw that there was this man called Sam Pastor Samad and he was he does this Leadership Excellence in leadership on TV and I'm like okay this Sunday I was just sitting at him and I was listening to him I'm like ah this man sounds like John maxel yes this is I'm called this this man is called to I'm called this man is called to me I need to listen and that they was advertising a program that was going to start the following morning or was it the yeah I think I read about the program and I'm like oh my God Leadership Academy I need to be at this program the following morning I dropped every other thing I was doing I was at that program whatever it does whatever it what whatever it takes get knowledge get understanding even the Bible says in order getting get what yes you should and and the good thing is that when you go for all these things you meet people you network with people I've been able to build relationships that have helped me to Foster growth in all of these communities that I that I went to because as a leader you have to network you can't just stay in your cocon and say that I'm a leader I'm a leader I'm a leader and you're not leading anything you're not influencing lives if people network with you and they see that okay I want to I want to see this person after this event or I still want to talk to this person after EV this event you have influenced that person you have influenced that person you can imagine that what did Jesus Christ come to do Jesus Christ came to influence us that's all he came to do he came to give his life you know and by doing that he influenced us didn't he influence you and this is how many years after we are still talking about Jesus Christ may it touch us may it touch us am so I would like to give you an acronym for lead I would say l you should love God love God because when you love God and you love the things of God I'm not saying you should be perfect don't get me wrong just love God and love people when you love God and you are discontent in your spirit like I mentioned earlier God will put you in the right place at the right time to hear information that will change your life because there are so many times I would just you know programs that I will go to and I will hear something and it's not because those programs it's not because it's not because I'm the best or whatever I don't God just finds a way of placing those programs around me spoke at your event in Lagos by the way today is his birthday please let me shout happy [Music] birthday yes so Pastor ni is I would person is my mentor and he's also my friend in my wildest Dream from the from I mean from my journey from the journey I've had is not somebody that would have called a mentor or somebody I would have seen to be a friend I don't if you understand what I'm saying how do you make friends like that how do you have people like that in your life is by positioning yourself positioning yourself I have not met Pastor mayun one onone before never I haven't I that my positioning the way I've been able to position myself is what led to us saying okay I want this lady to come and speak at this conference so you have to be able to position yourself and by loving God loving people it would help you to position yourself cuz it is one person that me mentioned my name to ah love God love people love to learn love to listen I'm still on L love God love people love to learn love to listen and then also love to unlearn love to do what I was telling I was I was doing a 30-day success um Series this was in 20 when were we doing it was it 2020 or 2019 2019 we're doing a success series together and then it got to day 19 was it day 18 or day 19 and I told them the first thing I said to them was success requires failure if you have not failed if you have not failed big time please don't speak to me because I have absolutely nothing to learn from you so I told them that I said success requires failure you know what that one lady in the class did she stopped coming and then I noticed that she stopped coming so after like 3 days I reached out to her like are you okay I hope all is well cuz I told him to send an email to her to find out she didn't respond to the email I said okay get me a phone number I called her I said up everything is fine she said no ma okay there just been a very ectic week for me to join the class blah blah blah said okay no problem she did not come back it was 30 days she talked about I think at day 18 or 19 and then after one month or so she reaches out to me she calls me and said ma in fact I voice her voice was trembling on the on the phone Ma I'm very sorry I'm very sorry let me tell you what happened when you said success requires failure he me I said rebuke it in Jesus name not I will not fail in Jesus name I will not that can be telling us that why do you now believe that success requires failure she said in church today it was on a Sunday she called me said in church today our pastor taught us about success actually require the way you said it Ma that that's the way the pastor just said it success requires failure so you know even Moses failed Moses was shaken because he knew some some reason for some reason Moses knew that he was called to save the Israelites that's why I say you love God God will let you know what you're called to do see he had not grasped he did not have any leadership training he don't have anybody to learn from so he just felt let me just go cing them one by one and he had to flee J know that the time Moses spent about 40 years right away do you know that the time do you know that he lent a lot on Jetro if you are very if you study your Bible you understand what I'm saying he lent on Jetro and then he was ready and then God Revisited him in fact visited him and said his time and while you was on that mission because just let you know that leadership is a long long life learning you can never stop learning you learn to the day you die Jetro came to visit Moses let me go and see what my son is doing let me go and see how he's doing and said that Moses was still confused because he was leading too many people okay you have leadership principles yes you understand leadership you understand how to lead but you can still be disoriented Moses was disoriented with the amount of people that he had to lead it was Jetro that gave him wisdom and said delegates put them in the numbers of 50s in hundreds in 1,000 you understand do it that way and he listened to Jetro and it helped him so even if Moses failed and this girl was just cannot fail in Jesus rebuke it feel like rebuke it from now until tomorrow it's part of our journey life is filled with battles it's feel a battles you fail you move on to the next you fail forward you don't fail backwards when you fail you fail forward that is it it is done dusted move forward move ahead to the next thing available do you know how many buses I've done I have failed I've done several things that failed if my mom became worried how do you so it's the successful ones people are seeing people did not see the ones that did not become successful so success requires failure in your work of leadership she said it before she said there will be pain there will be pain Moses was pained he had to go up to the mountain and go me God and say h these people want to kill me do you understand so there will be times when you just sit down in your closet and be like ah what is happening I know you will go to the market one day and then you see that one t of Y is three T of Y is 10,000 you'll be pained but you will ask God give me strategy give me the intelligence give me the let the Holy Spirit Minister unto me because when everybody is saying there's a casting down they will say that you will say there's a lifting up I'm G I'm bringing in too many messages into one oh I hope you are grabbing it when men are saying there's a casting that you will say there is what yes because we are leaders because we have power on the inside of us because we are becoming because we are positioning ourselves to attract so when you love God I'm moving on to E now you envision and you equip because you envision what you want to become and you equip yourselves with knowledge in when I started my journey when I started that journey of Reinventing myself I used to talk I used to ask God if you if you ask my business partner here she knows I'm a dreamer I'm always dreaming I'll say I'll just call her in the morning yeah say I had a dream I think we need to go in this direction I you need to understand why I'm saying because you ask God it might not be a dream oh it might just be your subconscious fing your Consciousness do you understand so as far back as 20 2016 early 26 2015 when did you have an election 2015 was an election year right so 2015 I remember very well 2015 we're fasting we're doing fashion and prayer in our church for 21 days at this time i' had stopped my business I'd stopped the fashion business because I was on a journey to re to look if you have to quit what you're doing now to reinvent yourself quit it people will tell you don't quit now Li if you if your mind is filled with too many worries too many anxieties and you're trying to reinvent yourself at the same time it becomes a whole lot of load for you to carry sometimes you need rest you need rest to receive from God did you get that you need rest sometimes to receive from God so we're doing this 21 days fasting and prayer and I'm asking God show me a vision I've gone to all these places they said you need a vision as a leader you need a vision you need to run with something what is that Vision do you get and then along the line I I I started to realize that I was called to speak into the lives of people I was called to change mindsets do you understand I was called and I believe that we in fact you know what I believe that we are all called to do this because it's is a Ministry of reconciliation and we've all been called to the ministry of reconciliation changing Minds transforming the minds of people towards greatness I was a able able to Envision this on myself and I'm like okay I need to equip myself to be able to fulfill that Vision because if you don't equip yourself you can't fulfill the vision you can't and so for your faith you can ask God give me a vision for my family give me a vision your family has to have a vision you have to have a vision for of how you want to lead the lives of your children because we are positioning ourselves to attract for your finances so when you love God you must have a vision for it and equip yourself when they are teaching how to budget when they are teaching how to scatter your seeds by the way you need to get my book this book will teach you a whole lot you need to get a copy of this book look you need to learn how to scatter your seeds so there's a different vision for your finances because it's not just the money you make it's not just your income that you get as a leader if you don't know this you have not known anything oh it's not the money you get at the end of the month in the shop your R you that will make you wealthy because we need money in the kingdom of God inside of and God has called us because we are becoming you want to be bold one day and say ahh okay you going to my wants to do one Crusade they want to you know they want to do an ad of maybe 10 million let me just pay for them they want to do an ad of whatever let me pay for because lives will be changed lives will be touched so you need to build wealth for yourself so you cannot just sit down and say the clothes I the money I made from the clothing from the boutique I be the money I made from salary last month I'm saving 30% every month and that would lead you to wealth no you have to understand the principle of scattering your seeds there's a principle to scattered seeds and let me tell you something some will yield some will not yield expect that to happen so I see people on Instagram I give that company my money that money is I will never invest anywhere again who cares that's your business money will be lost but money will also multiply scatter your seeds if you understand the parable of the scattered seeds was it everything that worked is it every life you preach to that becomes a Christian is it every life that the pastor says give your life to Christ and give your life to Christ no understanding leadership principles would help you get far in life being able to consist is a principles and they are leadership principles so for your family get understanding you might think you know it or you don't get a coach get a mentor or look for something on YouTube that aligns with marriage listen to them analyze within your mind how does it apply to me how does it apply to my family so equip yourself equip yourself for the journey that is ahead of you and then after you have learned all these things I'm moving on to a you move into what action action is the prescription for what success because so many times people get lost in the learning stage you learn learn learn learn learn learn learn learn people have come here to learn today very beautiful but if you leave this place today and you don't move into action in fact I want to say this but it's and it's not like I'm trying to what's it called trying to be mean not everybody here will move into action not everybody here will move into action when they leave here today after this whole month of conference that Pastor maywa has brought has brought different speakers to you so people will still not act action is the prescription for Success after all you have learned after all the understanding after all the knowledge consume consume consume consume and you don't put it to action and you are going and they're telling you that if you bring um if you if you if you do this investment you will get so so what and you don't do it or they tell you that come and learn something about your family come and learn something how to please your husband or how to take care of your children you see that there's a children's conference there's a teenagers conference and you're not attending it a leader is supposed to be selfless not selfish because all of these things is not just for you it's for you and the people around you you have to find a way to me you have to find a way to move into action and don't be a complainer because sometimes a lot of people don't go into action because they're looking for excuses oh H if okay I can't do this now H this is no if I do it now this is what we up they just excuses am I communicating so finally with a d I'll say declaration you declare with your mouth declaration and determination how many of you have read the book Think and Grow Rich there's a full CH just three people in this all have read gr Rich J haven't you read canang gr rich I can't see your hands up huh cuz I made I read it my daughter is here my daughters are here I made them read it Think and Grow Rich it says there's there's a part in that book that says you've got to have a bulldog Det mination look there is pain in the journey there will be battles along the way but God will give you the intelligence and the strategy God will give you the intelligence God will touch you he will speak to you he will give you the vision he will give you the intelligence and the strategy to surmount those battles there will always be battles always even Jesus Christ faced battles but you know what you would declare that I am light I am salt I am the light of the world I am the salt of the earth you will declare the word of God you will not stop declaring never and you ask God to give you the wisdom the wisdom to see things differently to speak differ L to act differently everywhere you go even on your social media pages when people are posting gossip don't post gossip curate your social media page in a way that influences the lives of people in a way that influences the people around you no matter how even if you have just 10 followers on Instagram on Facebook wherever curate it in such a way that people when they see it they know what you stand for they know who you are the first nine pictures the first nine messages on your social media page you be able to say who you are and I will tell you I've gone for speaking engagement in several places just through my Instagram page just because people go through it and say oh and that is because I am intentional about what I put out there be intentional be intentional yesterday as I was opening my explore page on Instagram you know the explore page on Instagram I saw one picture of one video of the wedding that went viral yesterday in Nigeria and there was a temptation to click it and I you know thing about social media once you click one thing it will keep feeding you that same thing over and over again there was a temptation to click it to even see what happened to me to you know I did not click I said I don't want to click and because the minute I click that click will lead to so many other clicks that will follow me you say social media is bad social media social media is not bad it's what you follow that will follow you is what you feed your mind with so I was careful I'm not saying that it was is a bad content but at that particular point in time I wasn't just ready to fill my mind with that cuz I know I was coming here to speak today and a day before coming to speak I don't take it likely I don't want to be watching things that will not edify me I can go back later and watch it do you understand so all of these things are saying is just so that we can grow in every sphere of our lives in our faith in our family in our finances and we can be leaders transformational leaders leaders that are touching lives and my prayer is that God will touch every one of us that God will touch Every Soul that is here that you will not be a m you would be a Mary who is soaking in knowledge who is soaking in knowledge at all all times and by this time next year when we come back for another conference the story will not be the same you guys will be able to come back with testimonies that based on what I heard last year I have been able to do this and that in your field are you a medical doctor are you a nurse get more certifications don't sit down with just your BSC do you know I gather certifications every year like I was selling my business partner I said when they were reading that I said they I think they need to reduce that bio into half because it's too much and because I even have more that I am doing when we leave here today we're going for a conference in Lagos we're going from here to a conference I saw one speaker it might be a small conference I saw one speaker on that flyer and I'm like I want to listen to that guy because that guy built a business and I want to know how we build that business so we are going for that conference because we are curious how curious are you how discontent are you position yourselves position yourselves and in positioning yourselves you are wor becoming you are becoming that leader I want you to say it one more time I am speaking if you cannot lead yourself you cannot lead others if you cannot influence yourself to do the right things if you cannot influence yourself to position yourself correctly in society how how do you want to lead others and it starts with knowing who you are are and it's a journey every day if you're intentional about knowing who you are and trying to search because man you need to date a she's a the wellness coach so that's why I'm giving I'm putting her on the spots good morning everyone my name is MCU so when it comes to depression most times it stems from fear and we're afraid of so many things dragons um horror movies and I feel like with my knowledge on what everything that has to do with the Mind Body Soul most things comes from what we fed ourself and our Paradigm what we've grown up with our childhood experiences the trauma we have faced and those the trauma is something that we've not addressed a lot of times we go through situations and we suppress those emotions we surprise we suppress the negativity and we are filled with ants ant is automatic negative thoughts the human being have like over 90,000 thoughts daily and 90% of them are negative if you doubt it tomorrow from morning to night as conscious as you could be write down everything you think about at night go through them majority of them are negative thoughts so you need to replace your aunts with automatic positive thoughts so now what are you afraid of fear of the unknown fear of what could happen fear that you're not good enough fear that everybody's better than you you feel that you've Googled your family name and nobody has made it in my lineage so it means because my great-grandfather did not make it I should not make it we are just transcending negativity onto generation to generation to generation why don't you be the one to break it what's the worst that can happen name one thing you afraid of she already said it you need to fail to be successful right you are fail for your Health right what can you do to make your health better you're afraid of death what does the Bible say about death so what's the worst that can happen face your fears don't ignore it when you ignore it it will come back and bounce on you do you understand it so sometimes when you are feeding the fear you start getting discouraged you start getting deorientation said you start going into a depressive mood then you now become suicidal I volunteer in two hospitals on for suicidal patients and I understand how and what their mind gets to I had to groom myself to be able to snap them out of that thing and it takes therapy in Nigeria we're afraid of therapy we feel that therapy it's all about people that are mad you can be stressed and just need to speak to someone doctors fall down every day and die why stress what they feed are there is there any outlet for them to okay let me end with this you're watching an aor movie and you're crying or you're afraid you know he's a movie it's not real right but something is afraid who is afraid it's your subconscious your subconscious does not know the difference between real or fake that's why you are afraid it's a movie in a box it can't come and catch you but you watching what's that so whatever you feed your subconscious your physical life will manifest be careful what you feed yourself be careful who you listen to be careful what
