[Music] all right um two quarterbacks that are certainly Under Fire um we think are going to be playing each other in week one it's the Steelers and the Falcons we're expecting kurk cousins Russell Wilson of course there's an Achilles with kurk cousins I think he'll be fine from that the Russell Wilson Justin Fields thing is uh a little bit closer than I think most expected um during the preseason I think uh Pittsburgh it seems like Russell Wilson's the poll position uh uh winner but he still has a lot to prove I heard he's going to practice this week in full for the first time so maybe we'll get a look at him but Atlanta's you know a cheap three-point favorite here at home um do we think this thing's going to move off the key number Fez before we get to week one you know it's interesting is this has moved twice off the key number during the summer it was three and then all the money was on the Steelers and the feeling was well who are the Falcons to be laying three with that crappy defense against Mike Tomlin that all he does is have winning football seasons it went down to two and a half it went down to two and it was heading lower and then the preseason started and Atlanta bolstered their defense with two big pickups and so now Atlanta's in it to win it clearly and the Steelers Jared you mentioned the pole position now normally that's like the number one and number two cars I would argue this is more like qualifying where both these quarterbacks are on the bump where they're number 32 and 33 just to get in in terms of my top quarterback uh list you know Russell Wilson or Fields this this looks like a rough one for the yers in Pittsburgh you know even at minus three uh reduced Vig I I no Vig I could only look towards the Falcons at this point and one of my biggest bets of the year and I'm not alone is Steelers to have a finally to have a losing year to win under eight half games Chris anything to add on Steelers I know the earm muffs have been on for most of the preseason but everything we have heard is Justin Fields can't hit an open receiver to save his life and Russell Wilson hasn't practiced a whole lot so not really much to chew on there with Pittsburgh yeah this game the only noise I hear is the the Pittsburgh has no hope and and everybody's anti- Pittsburgh and and when I hear that uh my ears kind of perk up and it's the same way with the Eagles I can't find anybody that doesn't like the eagles and uh I don't know I see it in my head that things could go a little differently uh possibly I mean they very well could be as good as everybody thinks they are but what happens when everybody thinks the same thing and that's what uh kind of makes me pause I I I want to see these teams on the field and you know it's it's boring uh as kind of Steve you know mentioned what I want to do is I want to see the on the- field play I don't want to sit here and tell people these uh you know huge predictions or and pull stuff out of a hat and it's boring and I know that but it doesn't matter what matters is what happens when they get on the field so it's really hard to I don't want to have strong opinions I want to have as few opinions going into week one as possible uh and and that's just the way I feel right now I know that's boring everybody wants you know predictions and uh Authority but it it we don't know we don't know in these two teams they God Only Knows yeah especially with Steelers I mean you've got a new offense you got Arthur Smith coming in you've got new quarterbacks in Atlanta you've got a new offense and a new defense you've got a weird quarterback situation with cousins and the Achilles and penck getting drafted eighth overall and it just it seems like of all the teams in the NFL these teams have very high expectations especially Atlanta um who's I believe Atlanta's odds on to win the division and and yet we haven't seen anything like we like we don't know we it it's very much a uh a paint by numbers we have to take it one week at a time Chris you I I always admire your your lack of opinions because everyone is very rushed to have opinions in this space and the ability to stay flexible I think is very important so it's very admirable great and a great comment here I'll close on Wy balls uh 100% Russ starts week one I agree Wally uh Fez what do you make the odds that Russell makes it to week four is it a coin flip no I'll make him minus 230 to still beus 230 all right Chris what do you think you agree with that a very heavy favorite Russell Wilson makes it to week four as the starter I I I I think that they they have to I think they I think he makes it past week four yeah I agree [Music]
