Derek Hough Reunites with Wife Haley for Tour makes me emotional how wonderful to see Derek and his wife Haley dancing together again Derek is joining us now hey man great to see you a little emotional there really cool to see uh See Your Wife Haley uh back on it looks like she didn't skip a beat like she's never been gone for like a minute that must have been very special unbelievable I mean the whole tour was was nothing short of a miracle it truly was um and we're just living in absolute gratitude right now and uh yeah it's been an amazing year I love her little pixie short hair was this the first time we we seen here when she came on stage that was no that was the when we finished the whole you finished the whole it was just that moment of like oh I'm going to cry shoot um it's just that whole thing of just like what she overcame you know and defying the odds and uh just remarkable remarkable woman that's is she going be joining you um for the for the holiday the new tour for the new tour coming up the new I know by the way you're like wait hold on did you just get off tour I'm like we're going out again so we're going out again so this first tell us about the new tour let's hear about that yes so it's called Dance for the holidays obviously and um going out November 1st until December 29th going out all across the country and it's my very first holiday show where it's be focused on you know Christmas music and holiday music and fun it's so I'm working on the music right now and I'm not going to lie it's it's pretty exciting I think people are going to be very surprised just by that and of course the dancing and the costumes and the lights what a fun holiday experience to do didn't you and your sister Jules do a holiday thing or am I well we've done we've done yeah we did a special several years ago and also we do the Disney specials this is the first tour that you're doing around the holiday tour and it's it's going to be incredible I'm very excited about that's great obviously family friendly everyone canut the whole family any Agee I mean that's what's so fun about my shows too is like you have like six-year-olds even younger even to like 99 years old which I've had a 99y old on stage daning me named Betty oh Betty I remember Betty I love Betty we'll go that'll be so fun with our families and then Dancing with the Stars coming back you're going to be judging again just three of you this Celebrity Judges and Athletic Triumphs time for the judges yeah just three of us and then I'm pretty sure we'll have some guest judges as well you know throughout the throughout the show but um but it's going to be an exciting season I mean I I can feel the energy you know percolating behind the scenes it's going to be a really good one yeah yeah and it's always of course a diverse cast and all kinds of names floating around like Jason Kelce Tom sandal Kelly Ripa Gary tur is that the golden B gold B oh yeah the golden B yes we need him out there uh who would you like to see man I mean I'm sure you get asked the season funny I kind of joking around with Dena Cass is the is the um she's the uh casting director and I was like oh no doubt she's watching the Olympics being like all right who's going to be the Olympic you know I'm I'm just saying I'm saying dude she was the MVP of the Olympics I couldn't tell you who won because she took up all the headlines and all the crazy to touch I love her so much there I have to say there was so many people that really stood out and did some amazing things not just in their accomplishments but in just the the way they were so honestly I think there's a there's a a big big Choice there that would be awesome that would be great that would be speaking of the Olympics I love what you posted you posted something so poignant about Selene Dion after her uh singing at the opening ceremonies why did that move you so much well I mean I mean I'm just a huge fan of slon as we all are um but it's funny every time I see her but you can see as we're dancing she always bursts out in a song and we she loves dancing she you know and I don't know I just uh I just love her and watching her documentary was oh yeah and to see her overcome in that Triumph I mean honestly with my own experience with Haley this past year and then just I couldn't even watch her documentary that that scene was so hard to watch it just brought up a lot of things that we experienced you know um this earlier this year but to see her overcome and Triumph was amazing and come out there Queen um Switching gears for a second I know you teamed up with starkiss for U for a new campaign tell us about it yes that's right well you know obviously being an artistic athlete you know protein is very important to me and star kist has been you know the Celebrating Accomplishments with Flex with StarKist leader of that for so long as far as like you know their quality product and they have a new campaign called uh Flex with star kist and sort of to encourage people to sort of celebrate you know their accomplishments and and show their flexes and you know we often focus on what's not right in our lives but the focus on what's good in our life I think is really important yeah um and it's really great they have this really convenient and you know I'm going on tour all the time traveling dancing and they have these really convenient you know protein pouches which is you know they have chicken salmon and beef and little bags that make it so easy and the flavors are too as well you know like the hot buffalo all these good things so for me it's actually really important because again being an athlete got to get that protein in and quick and easy when we can and then you and your sister y'all also have something else cooking going up is it another tour we do well this is a different type of tour this is a a convention and competition where we're going to be she to mentioned that when she was here we're going to be teaching we're going to be there going to be competitions um and it's called Ovation yes Ovation by Dan right in Utah we're launching in Utah we're going all across the country um and it's that whole our goal is to to give back right it's the next generation of dancers to teach them to coach them not just in dance too but like you know in how to live healthily you know and to be an athlete and to have longevity in their career so we're very excited about that here that day when Julian came on I don't so wait it it's not a show it's a convention a convention compeition and you show up and then you help dancers what launch that Dance convention world is a huge world it's very a very big world that we we want to tap into and we're going to really bring in that that latinum BM element to it co and really give them proper you know good training from great coaches world class coaches um the competitions and uh and just training you know at a very high level that's going to be fun hey you like to rack up those frequent flly models you got a lot going on stay on that road right better to stay that protein so much going on tell Haley we're so
