I'm refreshed I've had a good night's sleep I've I've had some fit in lunch I've had plenty of coffee I'm caffeined up and I'm ready for the Hungarian Grand Prix so yeah I hope everyone's ready to 45 minutes until the race gets underway and yes as always we have a lot to discuss Before the Race begins we have the strategy we have the tire allocation we have the race pace and of course have a look at the weather as well because Hungary has in the past of course been a wet race so so let's see if we have any forecast for today but yeah let's see let's see what occurs um did pastra get a grip penalty no he did not from my understanding I don't know why he would receive a grip penalty no you I think um he's starting P2 I don't know why he would get a gri penalty but you're nervous Dan you're nervous well there's an interesting fact guys Lando Norris four times now in races included that he has been been on pole position and he has not LED at the end of lap one in every single race but he has started from pole position so yeah um let's see if L can change that today of course he has his teammate alongside him Max ven behind him um in P3 and then um Carlo SS I believe it is in P4 and then of course Lewis is down there on the third row so Jacksonville Florida Welcome Victor y welcome everyone welcome to those of you who who are new to the channel if you're just finding this yeah I mean look we've seen it before the nature of that first Corner the cut back the top two drivers can be fighting each other of course Oscar is going to want to be leading he's going to be fighting iy today um but we'll have a look at the strategy strateg is going to be key here with' limited places to overtake at Hungary but it's always provided us even without that or even with that sorry limited uh spaces for overtaking has always provided some really good racing really some really good races Max who was Sim racing till 3:00 a.m. last night he was wasn't he yeah he was so still still able to get like six seven hours sleep though isn't he R weather forer is on slick s but to be fair we'll have a look at the weather report but I don't think there's any rain forecast but we know how the weather can change pretty quickly um in Hungary so afternoon jigo afternoon uh well you will never get better if you accept second best exactly uh why is George almost at the bottom because he failed to get a lap together yesterday really struggled in those slick conditions um not as bad as Sergio Perez but even so um he starting a position behind Sergio Perez so yeah they're going to need some real help today to be able to drag themselves back into this race but yeah Sergio Perez man there's not really anything else to say about him is there not really anything else to say but um let's see who you guys think are going to win this race at the moment so we have a poll of who's going to win the Hungarian GP and at the moment 36% think Hamilton and um the next second favorite is I've lumped the two for drivers in Hamilton in one because I can only run four options 28% of you think either sence the Clair or Hamilton interesting and Max is only um third with 24% I'm surprised this so so little of you have faith in Oscar pastr so little of you I'm intrigued by that I think he's got a genuine chance today especially with a two- stop race where potentially Tire management not so much of a factor um but yeah we'll see we'll see uh do I think George will get most positions gained today uh potentially yeah potentially we didn't have a safety car for a while will we see one today I've Got a Feeling we will I think we will see a safety car today yeah you're right we've we've not had one for a little while have we we've had some clean races even though it's consistently close to l whitne being the second driver um it's not so much being the second driver it's the fact of his his time management hasn't is a bit weak at the moment it's definitely his weakness and it's where he needs to improve and that's why Lando is kind of always that front running driver but Lando's been in that team and been in F1 for six years now I think seven years um quite a long time so yeah understandably he's going to have that experience of managing the tires and obviously driving F1 compared to Oscar in his second year so any chances of rain well we'll have a look at that shortly um we'll just give it a few more minutes for everyone to to filter in and then we'll have a look at the strategies um at the race Pace at the pit Lane loss time and of course the weather as well all that pre-race jazz the last safety car was Monaco lap one was it Lee yeah cuz I suppose we didn't even get one in Austria did we Lando and Max came together but it didn't bring out a safety car cuz they both made it back to the pits so P might have have a chance to win but I think it will be the Sten who will show why is world champion well we'll see Max still while he wasn't happy of course yesterday in qualifying he still got a good opportunity of winning this race and he was only four hundreds of a second behind pole position of Lando Norris so yeah he's still in with a shot Max but of course he's not happy with how that car's performing considering they now not so dominant uh obviously he wants he wants to be dominant as much as he said it was boring being dominant um but yeah he he's not happy of course understandably uh do I think pz will finish in the top 10 uh not unless we get a safety car want Hamilton to win he has a great car and great Pace in P5 he can easily win but he has some work to do I don't think so I think the Mercedes is just a little bit too slow this weekend yeah yeah I just think the Mercedes is a little bit too slow not quite carried over that pace from Silverstone um they need some increment weather to really cope with the pace of of Max and the two McLaren so don't think hul get a Podium who knows who knows with hulberg it's very elusive um who's going to be the first perzo Sant well both of them did yesterday didn't they both of them did so and besides you YouTu which other social media platform do I stream um I every now and then I stream to Twitch Kelvin I don't stream these watch alongs to twitch but I I sometimes stream Sim racing on Twitch the multi streaming um so yeah that's that's about it really uh in the future Max wins this by 22nd lead I doubt it I doubt it but um yeah not long guys we'll give it just a couple of more minutes and then we'll look at the strategies and see what is predicted by pelli today who has what in regards to Tire allocation left as drivers are making their way out of the pits and doing their outlasts round to the grid so it's looking nice and sunny and everyone on a set of soft compound tires um as they're doing their practice starts at the end of the pit Lane so yeah everyone okay thus far it does look like we're going to get all 20 cars lining up on the grid uh race starts on the hour on the hour on the hour hope it rains during the races it brings a skill component among the drivers a lot yeah we'll have a look at the weather rep I don't think we're going to get some rain but we'll see what the weather's saying anyway we know that it can change very quickly so I remember to put fuel in's car think Lou still has a chance to get a Podium since he prefers a race setup Podium outside chance but we'll see but should we go have a look at the strategy for today should we go have a look at that let's let's have a look guys let's see what plli are saying [Music] right here we are so we are in for a two-stop race guys we are in for a two-stop race pretty much confirmed I'd be very surprised if anyone tries to do a one stopper don't quite see that being feasible but we can see here that every strategy presented by pelli is a two stop here um they have may be said that there might be someone who tries a free stop um but it all depends on obviously how much tires fall off the de at Hungary can always be can always catch the teams by surprise sometimes there could be not a lot of De sometimes it could be a shedload of degradation on the tires um so yeah more degradation will make things more interesting for us as viewers that's for sure uh but yeah you can see there I think most drivers are probably going to go depending on how the hard the real interesting thing is all at Hungary has always been how the hard Tire performs sometimes it performs really well sometimes it's been the worst Tire to be on um so starting on a medium compound tire is the best option it leaves you open to go to that hard Tire in the middle stint and then the end of the stint is really where we're going to see different uh approaches potentially with the hard compound or the medium used I I don't see really anyone un this I mean maybe someone further down the grid will start on the softs and try and do the two hard compound Tire run um in P3 uh sorry the the third option there and be surprised if someone uses the last option who knows but I think we're going to see most drivers start on the medium because it leaves them open for um using that using that hard compound Tire um so yeah do I think red will replace Perez with Ricardo or sonoda I think it's going to be Ricardo hang on listening to Perez perz is just saying well done guys in regards to getting the car together well yeah it was your mistake who've been the car Sona City F once you signed a contract you were supposed to celebrate by crashing every other weekend um you hope he they can pick up the pace and I mean they have a chance even when he doesn't have Pace uh expect to win yeah look we'll we'll have a look but there's there's a graphic which kind of indicates in a second why I don't think uh Mercedes have really got they need need some outside influence like George in Austria to win the race so but we'll see wonder who go on softs I think a couple of guys will risk it but I don't know it doesn't really C the thing is at Hungary clean air is King you do not want to be held up in traffic here because as we said there's only two viable overtake really too viable overtaking opportunities here with the size of these F1 cards um so that's down into turn one and down into turn two but turn two you really do need a mistake from the other driver a lunge um and some assistance really to to to make an overtake or a massive Tire Delta so if you can't make an overtake down into turn one most likely you're going to be stuck behind that car for the remainder of the lab and you're going to lose so much time so we're going to see drivers that I think the undercut is going to be powerful the undercut is going to be powerful because you want to get into clean air that's the key and and having that outl of of uh of clean air is really going to be powerful here um so yeah let's keep an eye out on that and some drivers may may do that on the soft tire they may think about starting on the soft so that they can do the undercut um so we'll see it all depends on about Tire allocation but let's have a look at the tire allocation so we can see here not a normal graphic but we can see that um MN so this MN means medium new this is the light yellow means used hard new and then hard used I don't know why it's like this but um we can see that Norris piastri and so Norris and piastri have one brand new set of mediums compared to theen and SS who who have two brand new sets of mediums and then thein and signs also have two brand new sets uh sorry one brand new set of hards and Norris and piash have one set of used hards and one set of used mediums now I don't know how many laps they've done on those but I would assume that knowing knowing Norris and piastri the McLaren they like to scrub off a set of tires so while they say used they might be they might be brand new in effect and then you look further down Hamilton has got one brand new sets of mediums and he's got two he's the only driver he's the only driver there in that top 10 who has other than Ricardo and sonoda who has two brand new sets of hards available so I think Mercedes have pretty much already shown us that they're going to be doing a medium hard hard strategy um they're really banking on the fact the hard tire is going to be working here today um but yeah that could play into their hands you never know it could work one ERS for themir has got two brand new sets of mediums uh same as signs so varying strategies I think are going to be used here different tire strategies it's going to make things interesting at the top end of the grid and then as you head further down of course Perez the only driver with three brand new sets of softs available to him um we'll see if he utilizes those today so yeah that's interesting hey R good to see you wish you could get his shot but I don't think he'd be able to work with Max I don't think red trust him yeah I don't think so imagine Perez has some strong words said to him yesterday and if he bought was it today I wouldn't want to be him I think the decision's been made to be honest can't keep going on regardless if he recovers today can't do what he's doing um he's costing the team too much money as well with the cost cap I think people forget that also uh Le has this in the bag we'll see we'll see I doubt it I doubt it imagine since L's got his knin at Silverstone claims another knin here at Hungary yes this is the second most successful track Hamilton um has has had been at in his career eight wins previous previously it was allloy for pz to have more softs race starts on the hour guys race starts on the hour what's the Press situation after yesterday's incident um Red Bull was saying we're not going to say anything or assess anything until the summer break which yeah I think Daniel Ricardo is clearly a very happy man in the interviews yesterday so I think I I think Ricardo is going to get promoted so cop so hard you can get a chance at RBC as replacement yeah we'll see I think he deserves it but he didn't also help himself Yesterday by crashing the car either so but he can still put in a good performance today and just go look I'm here and that's all we can keep doing so but let's take a look at the race Pace guys so this is new from perelli from what I've been seeing and this is a race simulation pace and well you can see there it's almost identical between McLaren and re Ball racing so this is race simulation Pace this is what this is based upon the data that has been gathered and analyzed from the practice sessions uh from the long runs and what they've been doing of course none of this is 100% certain because we don't know engine modes we don't know fuel load we don't know the battery deployment either um but it did seem to be that McLaren and Red Bull were very close and of course you look at the qualifying times yesterday less than half attempt separated them so you would you would think that um Mercedes just slightly off the pace but looking more comfortable than Ferrari Lewis Hamilton interviewed Before the Race on the track parade did say um it's key for him to get past the Ferrari of Carlo SS early um for his race today if he gets caught up behind signs it could be could be a tough day for him um and you can see there interestingly Alpine uh the fourth uh the fifth best car in race pace and they're starting 19th and 20th today so not very good for them um RB who are in ninth and 10th uh looking quite good there as well as H hulkenberg is in 11th today uh the Williams the Aston Martins look at that data there they have the biggest update package here this weekend and they are the second slowest car according to the analysis so really interesting really interesting that Checker needs to get medium medium soft if they're going to win wouldn't surprise me if he maybe starts on softs or maybe actually I think czecho will start on hards I think he'll try and go long go hang for a safety car and I think look czecho is going to be the guinea pig for max they're going to try they're going to put him on the hard compound tire and see how the hard compound TIR is performing as he was in Silverstone he was the guinea pig and that's what happens when you bin your car and you're starting from the back of the grid so um out with Perez in the freedom what forecast we'll get there Conor we'll get there we'll get there there is coming so pit Lane L time guys this is something to keep an eye on 20.5 seconds is the pit loss time uh on the green flag BSC or safety car that almost halves so that's 9 seconds 9C difference there um of time made up if there is a VC and a safety car I think there's a high probability we're going to get that today cuz it's hungaro ring and um yeah it's this circuit in F1 to really make an overtake drivers have to make a lunge they have to force the issue and um yeah I think we're going to see some debris at some point um minimum so weather is indicating so this isn't the full weather forecast but it's indicating look 20% chance of rain 33° cloudy with sun but this is what I've got and well yeah 30° it's showing participation is not high whatsoever um so yeah I think we're going to get a dry race guys I think we're going to get a dry race uh how about the wind how windy is it 6 mph race time so yeah not really too much to be honest is the are going to get promoted I think I think he will yeah I think he will so Yuki so was so lucky wasn't thrown over the fence in that yesterday no wonder they put gravel in today yeah it's it was shocking really because he he kept his foot in it because that is normally just concrete astro turf and concrete but it was the end wasn't it it was the end of the astro turf there that there was a big lip and of course these cars now run very low to the ground with the floor um with' generating most of the downfalls and it just caught that and launched him so uh where is Lewis Lewis is going to be starting in P5 I think it was was it P5 or P6 I my my memory has I've lost my memory there in that regard but um was that the grass that did it it was the ends the end of the astro turf there was like a lip and the floor just caught it and sent him up in the air did like a big wheel um so yeah Ricardo comeback is a need to me now we'll see we'll see but yeah guys that is it so strategies for today is a two stop we need to keep an eye out on those gaps today which is 20.5 seconds those are the gaps that we looking for in regards to uh Drive especially those front drivers in finding that space clean air is key here today guys these teams do not want to be making a pit stop and putting their drivers behind another car particularly a slower car because if you cannot make that overtake down into turn one and it down into turn two no matter if you have a really big tire Delta it is Nyon impossible to overtake in the middle sector so you just lose so much Tire we're going to see some undercuts today be interesting to see who starts on the soft compound Tire because I think some drivers in the mid pack will do that to try and force the uh to try and pull the undercut and maybe save an extra set of mediums um they might I mean is a s who's got two sets of mediums available Perez has two sets of mediums all these drivers I mean have banked really on hards um so the hard compound Tire really needs to work today especially for Lewis Hamilton otherwise they're going to be at a disadvantage compared to V stappen signs and lir who could have pulled off a Blinder if if the medium compound Tire um lasts better and performs better than the hard compound so uh want to see how it's go well we'll see we'll see not long to find out guys not long to find out Lando Max Oscar Lewis I just hope King George can at least find points it's at all order for him tot order so 615 votes and 37% of you 38% of you think Lando Norris we will see the driver who is yet to lead after the end of lap one uh four times now he's been on pole position in a Sprint or full race format so uh yeah he's obviously looking to break that unwanted uh record so or run um I'm not sure if Lando did did he did he mck up qual I'm not sure if he did I didn't really see his lap he may have done he's probably thinking there's more that he could have done I mean I do think it's Lando to lose here today uh I think he's been he's looked very good over long R Pace over his one single lap Pace um and it's all about the start for him if he can be in thatp if he can be out in the lead after lap one uh and especially with his teammate behind um between him and Max withen I think it's l to lose today um I think he should be quite in control of this race is this going to be a circuit will see battles like in Austria potentially yeah potentially I think it's it's going to depend on strategy as well I mean let's let's go back to that tire allocation so we can see here that look ignore that pretty much ignore that used tire because normally M McLaren like to scrub off a set of tires so that kind of is in effect a brand new set of tires uh so I am at so they've got the same allocation as for stappen um but it's how they Implement that today I mean safety cars could come into play today today and really throw a spanner in the works l m Collide and Oscar lead and wins just a hot take it could happen it could happen it really could so my pleasure's out up my pleasure yeah know I love these streams as we keep saying I love uh these watch alongs I that's enough of me um so should we have a quick check of a poll that I ran yesterday guys so I ran a poll didn't I of who do you think is going to be replacing Sergio Perez at Red Bull because I think it's done and dusted now uh that I think it's done and dusted that he's going to be out of a seat um if you ask me and if I'm just looking at the poll we had 909 votes and 46% of you think Daniel Ricardo is going to be in the Red Bull uh at the summer break 27% equally for Lawson and sonoda um I'm surprised sonoda didn't get any more I mean actually I asked the question of who do you want to see not who do you think and it's interesting that 46% of people think um they want to see Ricardo in the seat I thought Yuki would get a few more votes to be honest with you um so that's interesting don't think p is able to get a win within this season he's not good enough experience leading the pack um I disagree I think he'll be very calm and collected at the front the problem with pastri is he's Tire management as we've discussed a few times already so yeah it depends depends with Yuki uh depends with um piastri if he can manage those tires you really want Danny to replace Perez yeah we've spoken about signs signs is never going to happen because of the parents unfortunately because of the two dads so Danny makes less crashes in sonoda well this is it the thing is the thing is now is that um let's just change scene one I think I can now set up the data um the thing is if you're Red Bull You' you'd give anyone a shot I think it's going to be Danny Rick purely because purely because of the relationship he's got with Max um they still need to keep Max happy I think that's why they signed Perez anyway they resigned him um but you can't justify the performances that Perez has been put in because now it's of course it's um because the the field is a lot closer now so all right let's just do this oh Lando reporting throttle issues and apparently Lewis reporting throttle issues as well this isn't good before the race starts for both drivers uhoh um race control messages I think track limits could be a back to here today as well guys let's just have a look at that are they chatting they going to chat to Lew or Bono they're going to try and chat to one of them but B reporting no no problems on our side all good all good right here we are guys here we are oh I can make that a bit bigger that there we go lovely we're ready to rock and roll ready to rock and roll guys look at that let me know if you can see everything clearly and we should be good to go 15 minutes less than 15 minutes until this race gets underway just over 10 minutes now so we lead to T1 will win do you think it's going to be that easy it's going to be that easy Emily what's wrong with gazley they've probably made further changes to his car so he's broken Park F and he's starting um from the pit Lane let's hope he can actually finish start the race this time around he was unable to start the race wasn't he last time out at um it was last unable to start the race last time out of Silverstone don't know why Perez's car is where it is ignore that that will obviously slot in um when he goes uh when they start doing their formation lap so was it Sergio's car he was talking about brle oh hang on Lando's throttle is being worked on so they are working on the grid with Lando Norris's throttle oh dear they're changing mechanical Parts on the car of Lando Norris on the throttle so not ideal not ideal for Lando Norris before this race even gets underway risk of rain is 20% interesting my forecast not as accurate quite clearly as F1 uh you say Max ground me especially after learning a DJ game lot M so look look I've I've uh I I've admitted plenty of times I'm not Max's biggest fan I've never hated hated is the strong is a very strong word um but yeah he's not been my favorite F1 driver to say the least I think he's very talented I respect that he's super quick I've just always had an issue with how he goes racing um but look he he gets he's allowed to do it and you play Within the rules you play to the referee's whistle as they say in football so uh yeah and that's that's basically what he does so you can't on one hand you have to go he's only doing what he's allowed to get away with don't have to agree with it but if he's not being penalized for it then there's not much what I can do about it so most English hate Max uh not most English I think look you have to understand that people don't like I think people don't like Max that much because of yes like englishwise because he was fighting Lewis Hamilton but I know there's plenty of people out there who don't like Lew Hamilton either um so yeah um good land though be do not start I hope now I think he's going to start but that may rear its ugly head throughout the race that throttle so we'll see we'll see I don't know exactly what the issue was with his throttle uh whether it was just go whether it was traveling too long if it wasn't responsive um overall having even if there's a slight bit of lack of confidence in the car it's going to put you at a detriment especially to your competitors like a uh like a guy like piastri wants his first race win of course he's w a Sprint but first proper race win and V stappen of course who we know is uh not happy in that red bull at the moment and definitely wants to win this race so um yeah if you have even slight lack of confidence in your car it could uh it's really going to hold you back for our Race distance here at Hungary as well P doing well considering he's fairly new however showing maturity balance patient impressive racecraft yeah I agree I agree I think he's definitely improving and he just sound like a broken record but if he gets a hold of that TI management and we start start to see improvements in that TI management he's definitely going to be um taking it more to Lando Norris it be intrigued to see how that relationship starts to play out out if pastri is able to take it more to Lando um that could get yeah that could get quite heated be interesting was just a throttle replacement sticky throttle issue they popped a new one in cando fine yeah he's hoping Warren he's hoping they were they were they were replac the dampner or something is what tech RIT just said they take they took the throttle damper out so yeah redel not the fastest car anymore um it's well Max of course is saying it's not I think McLaren here is is the fastest car this weekend look we'll see over a race distance whether it is or not um but look in Max's hands that car is still one of if not the fastest car it's just not as dominant as it was so you're glad Max puts all these Brits in their place fair's fair it's your opinion and McLaren's having issues with falling Parts is only realistic British brand uh glad McLaren climbing to the top spot again seeing their strength come back is nice yeah it's good to see some old names back up there isn't it it's good to see them up there I'd love to see Williams back up there as well they're another historic name aren't they on the grid uh be good to see them back up there at some point but they're going to take a few years so it was responsive but too loose interesting he a.m. here for you in the US nice starting the day off right with an F1 race and with this watch long thank you guys so yeah if you can continue to hit that like button it be much appreciated nearly a thousand of you in here before the race gets underway thank you thank you uh loving these watch long still just 10 minutes until this race gets underway 5 minutes probably until we find out what the what the tire all what tires these drivers are going to be starting on uh so risk of rain is 20% a bit higher than what the r report was but I saw but we do have our grid for today is Norris mp1 asri locking out that front row with the McLarens in P2 V stappen P3 SS is fourth with Hamilton fifth on the uh hamton starting on the third row so it's important for him to get ahead of signs that's really his aim here today um six is lir lining up alongside Hamilton seventh and eight for the two Aston Martins Ricardo and sonoda in ninth and temp so sonoda's car has been repaired after that crash yesterday uh hulberg in 11th botas done very well in a stake F1 car that's gone quite under the radar isn't it bter botas in p12 yesterday um good good result from him Alban and sergeant in 13th and 14th Madison 15th Perez and Russell in 16th and 17th um and then we have Joe 18th and the two Alpin starting uh in 19th and 20th gazley starting from the pit Lane and um hoping he can actually start this race uh because he didn't even finish the formation lap last time out of Silverstone but Lando Norris is intently intently watching his Engineers working on his McLaren right now um all kind of looks a little bit worried um over his car there all all's not looking H all's not looking well fingers crossed it is but after the last couple of years with McLaren I'm truly surprised with Lando's loyalty to them um I think the thing is with Lando at McLaren he's the number one driver and he's seen continued improvement with McLaren and I think it was the right decision for him to resign with them so good morning from DC hey John good to see you buddy wait why is Perez starting from theit L he's not starting from the pit Lane that is just the track map icons being a bit out of sync at the moment that will sync up once the formation lap starts and Perez will slot into his 16th position so don't worry don't worry who thinks perz WS down the black well this is the thing so do we see today do we see an aggressive Perez Perez has to be aggressive today and make up positions but we know Perez when he's been out of position before isn't the best overtaker is he he makes he makes very rashful decisions lunges into the side of cars and we know that him in that car at the moment is not um the false that it is behind the wheel behind in the hands of Max ven so max ven if he was starting in 16th you'd expect him to dispatch these drivers quite comfortably but um not Perez so yeah we'll see we'll see I'm intrigued to see if they start on the soft or they start on the hards I think perz is going to start on the hard compound Tire I think he's going to be the guinea pig and I also think Russell will be the same I think Russell will start on the hard compound as well and I think they'll just try and go long goal hang for a you buddy Antonelli looked very good today yeah that was a very good win had to get it done out on track as well I did watch that F2 race um so fortunate with the second safety car but he was unfortunate with the first safety car because he definitely was on the the preferred strategy starting on the hard compound tire so it did the race kind of fell back into his hands rightfully so he he deserved to win that race so update Lando's car looks okay it looks okay guys we'll see we'll see PR isn't stting at the pit land guys no no he is not he is not but only moments away it is 52 the hour uh moments away until the formation until we get the tie blankets come off of this off these cars um I'm just going to have a very very quick glue Break um before we get the tire blankets come off uh so then I am all prepped for this race guys it that is a perfect time for you guys to go fill up your drinks F get some popcorn get your snacks in because the Hungarian Grand Prix is about to get underway let's just end the poll of who's going to win this race today and well it does say that over 1200 votes 37% of you think Lando Norris 28% for stappen 22% think sence the claro Hamilton and I'm quite ashamed I'm quite not ashamed but disappointed so many of you don't trust Oscar piastri with only 11% interesting very interesting but back in just two seconds guys very quick toilet break and then let's see what the tires these drivers are going to be starting on I'm back very quick very quick oh here we go back just in time for these tires to be whipped off of the cars the tire blankets and well we can see here that Alonzo and stroll are starting on the softs Intriguing intriguing from the Aston Martin drivers there we can see that Albano is starting on the softs Magnuson on the softs Perez and Russell as I predicted starting on the hard compound tires going long goal hanging for a safety car and then gazley in the pit Lane starting on the hards but the top six starting on that Medium Compound on the freshest of tires there um zero next to their Tire allocation next to their tires there means that they have done zero laps brand new and well that leaves them open for that option of a hard or another medium a soft potentially um so yeah that was what was predicted guys intriguing intriguing but a lot more variance throughout the grid there than I thought we were going to get not sure why gazli starting in the pit Lan most likely changes made to the setup of the car Breaking part F regulations um so or the B par F rules so that's why he is starting from the pit Lane um hasn't really got much else to gain really the Alpine struggled here this weekend uh so yeah Aon and gazley in 19th and 20th they'll be hoping for safety cars uh no doubt to get back into this race but yeah I'm intrigued the Aston Martins starting on the softs H maybe going for the two hard strategy soft hard hard we'll see we'll see probably planning to do the undercut probably planning to to to run run short in that first in and then go um try and get some clean air on a set of hard compound tires so but yes guys moments away from this Hungarian Grand Prix this formation but yes here we go guys here we go who's going to win this race so Paul suggested that Lando Norris is your favorite he's had some mechanical issues with that throttle prior to this race start with the McLaren mechanics working on it on the grid there hopefully that doesn't rear it lug ly head at the start throughout this race it is Norris on P pole position with pastri alongside him Norris four race starts from P1 in his F1 career and he is yet to finish the first lap in P1 can he break that run today as we are on the formation lap and moments away from the start of this Hungarian Grand Prix of course Max stappen not happy over the radio yesterday in qu at the end of qualifying um and says his team need to improve but still looks to be on Pace with the McLaren you do think that pretty much it is a free horse race today for this win with the two McLarens and the red B match for stappen never know there could be something that throws a spanner in the works here and it could bring the Ferraris and the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton into play 20% chance of rain so very low risk of rain but we have seen the weather change quite quickly at Hungary in the past two ason Martin starting on the soft compound tires very intriguing strategy from them I think they kind of know potentially that they don't have the race Pace today so trying to sort something out uh or do do something different to the teams behind them so that they can maintain uh seventh and eighth today and beat the two RB cars of Ricardo and sonoda hulkenberg keep an eye on hulkenberg today in p 11 and then who knows how many positions Perez and Russell will make up today going long in that first in on the hard compound Tire clean air is important today guys 20.5 seconds is the pit lost time that is the gaps that you need to be looking at today for drivers to pit into um because if you get stuck behind another driver um for and you can't get past him after pretty much turn two you are stuck for the remainder of the lap behind them and can lose so much time so the undercut is going to be powerful here guys clean air keep an eye on that but let's have a rundown of this grid one last time as Lando Norris is coming to his Pole Position grid slot is Lando in P1 Oscar pastri lining up alongside him in P2 vapen in P3 SS fourth Hamilton in fifth lir sixth Alonzo and stroer two Aon Martins in seventh and eighth we have Ricardo in ninth and sonoda his teammate in 10th hulkenberg in 11th botas in 12th albor and Sergeant in the two Williams in 13th and 14th Kevin Magnuson in 15th Perez we all know what happened to him yesterday starting in 16th position George Russell in 17th Joe granu in 18th oron in 19th and then we have gazley starting from the pit Lane as you can see on the track map there on the hard compound tires so the two alpines at the bottom of the grid and hoping for better than a double dnf last year out but here we go okon coming round to the back of the grid here we are moments away guys seconds away from the Hungarian Grand Prix getting on the way hit that like And subscribe button here we go they are lined up is going to be lights on and it is away we go green lights has Lando Norris been able to get a decent start here and maintain this lead down into turn one we can see there that Oscar pastri is alongside him already is he going to be able to hold on to this lead under the breaks into this tight turn one back for stappen Breeze is past both of them I think and has got a head both of the McLaren it seems to be that for stappen got ah head off Lando Norris as piastri ahead of his teammate for staing ahead of Norris and Norris has lost a position to Hamilton as well an unbelievable start from the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton but Lando gets it back into turn three there on Lewis Hamilton but Lando a poor start from him but they side by side into turn four we we've seen Charles declair go off there at the end at the start of fb2 and we can see that is B asri ahead of the stapper Lando Norris in P3 Hamilton Fall For Good Start From Him clearing the M the Ferrari of Carlos SS who is down three positions into p7 Charles to cleair up one into fifth sign Alonzo up into sixth we can see that Albano has made the biggest gains there up four places as has Kevin Magnuson lots of drivers out of position so I'm watching the restart and Lando aggressively pulled over to cover off his teammate Oscar pastri he bed down again Lando ven went all the way around the outside actually off the track and Max ven maintained the position ahead of Lando Norr I'll be intrigued to see if Max has to give that position back quite Naughty by Max to be honest with you um I think he should be forced to give that position back to Lando Norris he will say he was forced out of room but I think Max ven definitely kept his foot in it and is currently in P2 that was quite Naughty from Max ven if you ask me we'll see if the stewards have a view upon that or if Red Bull decide to give the position back to Lando Norris but it is piastri from vapen they were free wide into turn one and uh Norris is Norris is stating over the radio that Max has to give that position back so we'll see of course um drivers will no longer be informed if they have to give the position back it is down to the team and the drivers to do that is under their own discretion and if they don't do so then they will be uh given a p penalty and you can see there turn one vapen leaving the track and gaining an advantage is noted it is noted so it would't surprise me if he's told to give that position back but ven 1.7 seconds back from Oscar piastri now and this is where Oscar piastri the Australian yet to win a full race in the McLaren in F1 of course he has a Sprint race under his belt in Qatar last year um yeah in last year but will he be able to manage those tires this is where piastri has he improved um Norris saying yeah he committed to the outside so he could use the runoff and yes uh Norris not happy that the STA and is's still maintaining that second position but is pastri from ven Norris from uh behind ven wanting that second position back but Norris once again the fifth time now the fifth time that Lando Norris has not led the first lap after starting on pole position so not very good from him as sence is struggling sence is struggling he is L under attack from the soft Runner of Alonzo so I'm not sure if maybe he's potentially picked up damage there you can see Hamilton just falling back a little bit from Lando Norris 1.5 seconds back uh Russell is up two positions but Esther B okon up five positions started in 19th ven is claiming his case saying I got forced off I was ahead at the Apex and he just opened the wheel so I got fced off so we'll see what the stewards view upon it is Red Bull are stating that they are supporting Max for stappen um there so I guess it's going to go to the stewards and they will deem whether or not Max will have to give that position to Lando o Norris or potentially it will be a 5c time penalty for the Red Bull driver but hulkenberg had to pit very early I think for damage um so yeah it looks like that um hulkenberg there one of the biggest losers The Biggest Loser at the moment nine positions down starting in P1 today picked up some damage and that is why he is down in 20th position not ideal from him but uh we have seen in the past that uh he can get this back uh if you get some clean air let's just move that over we'll see so yeah I'll tell you what it's all going on on the radio at the moment guys with Lando Norris and Max ven they're all claiming their case and Max ven gives the position back to Lando Norris Max ven has given that position back to Lando Norris um and it said that there was no further action so is that a genuine overtake by Lando on Max for staing there or did they just give the position back and that is why they've indicated no further action uh that might be why the stewards have ruled there no further action to Max and Norris because he just gave the position back um so I don't think so Max has been told to let Lando pass um they have been told to let Lando pass so yeah um that's why he did it so that's why you can see there there's two and a half half seconds to piastri and Norris now Max is not happy about it whatsoever but you can see how the Clean Air is so effective here as nio hulkenberg on the hard compound tires just set fastest in the per uh purple in the first sector so it is pastry from Norris ven no doubt will be coming straight back at Norris here he'll be angry after that decision with the RS open down into turn one does he have enough to have a go at Lando he's closes in on the brakes of course there's double DRS down into turn two as well will he have a move on Lando otherwise it's going to be sitting behind Lando for the remainder of this lap he gets very close as you can see two tempts back on the McLaren of Lando Norris no doubt Max will see turn four as an overtaken opportunity as well but it does seem Lando is able to hold off Max for just a bit longer as Max sets fastest in the first setor there with the assistance of DRS but niik hogenberg purple there 23.5 five tempts quicker than piastri out up front but of course these drivers on different pounds a tire having to maint manage their race at this stage so we'll see if piastri is able to hold it but could there be fireworks between Lando Norris and Max v stappen Hamilton 1.4 seconds back sitting nicely in P4 and the Clair not too far behind him either as well they're sitting in that range of just being outside of the dirty air Carlos sence after that poor start and having to regain the position from Fernando Alonzo is 3 and a half seconds back from his teammate Charles declair in sixth place the Aston Martin all aboard the Alonzo train it seems because you have Alonzo stro albon Magnuson Ricardo sonoda botas okon um Sant Perez all there but interestingly Perez is down a position guys Russell who made two positions um up in 15th and Aon who made up five positions in 14th and Perez is down a position stuck behind the Williams of Logan Sergeant But Here We Go Again Max V stappen getting very close under DRS to Lando Norris there but he's not not close enough looked like he might have got a bit too close to be honest as they went into turn one and that has left him a little bit further back uh down into turn two so Max vapen in P3 half a second back from Lando and well Lando Norris having to look ahead manage his race but also look in his rearview mirrrors of course the charging red ball of Max bin so just watching the replay of the St and L Norris aggressively went over to cover off his teammate that left him down in the middle and well Max did baow out very early Max did baow out very early um in regards to that move to maintain that position and then Max then Max oh I tell you what Max very um naughtily very naughtily covered off Lewis Hamilton at turn two and nearly drove Lewis Hamilton off of the racetrack Lewis had to drive off of the had to um pull out the throttle that's for sure so not only Max did did he a bit of a yeah bit of a messy start for Max to be honest with you uh and could have ended up a lot worse for him but we are seven laps into this race now it is pastri from Lando Norris the stappen in P3 Hamilton in P4 the CLA in P5 sence in sixth Alonzo and stroll in seventh and eighth they are starting to pull away a bit from the uh Williams car of Alan and we can see there the first Runners this is very early very early from these drivers um the soft runners have only lasted six laps that is albon Magnuson Aon also into the pits as well on the medium compound tires so you can see as we said at the start of this race how important clean air is because these drivers have decided we are not making any ground we are just losing ground being in this DRS train the likes of George Russell can't make ground the likes of Sergio Perez in the Red Bull cannot make ground on those drivers ahead in this DRS train and that is why you see albor Magnuson and Aon pull the trigger very early and that's two laps earlier than we saw last year with drivers starting on the soft compound tire so yes this is definitely going to be a two-stop race today guys and it's still very very much to play for but you can see the top five drivers there pulling up a big gap already you can see piastri is 15 seconds ahead of Fernando Alonzo 20.5 seconds is that Gap we need to keep an eye out on for a pit stop window um so that is what they'll be looking to pull out of course uh and that will will give them a free pit stop in front or or a window in front of the Aston Martins and that big train there no vies they don't last long hulky slugging is there a problem with his car um I don't think so no you got to remember that the tires only last so long probably only H he can only probably push for so long before he then has to um he only has to yeah then go back into time management mode to make these uh hards last for as long as he did but you can see drivers responding here to that undercut from ALB Magnuson a KN on we'll see if their undercuts have worked here as Alonzo's also into the pitch Ricardo and Joe and let's see if alon's able to make up time on Alonzo here and get ahead of Daniel Ricardo Al Albano gets ahead of Daniel Ricardo there and he's right up behind Fernando Alonzo and you can see the time but Alonzo lost to Alex albon there uh Kevin Magnuson tucked up right behind Daniel Ricardo and this is why these drivers are having to respond but Magnuson goes over around Daniel Ricardo into turn two with that extra lap of warmed up tires up to temperature and makes it count and gets ahead of Daniel Ricardo into P 17 as it stands but of course still three quarters of the field yet to pit in this race so that was important and pushes magdon further up and no doubt to the eventual points places but wow this is uh we're going to see any other drivers respond here of course Russell and Perez suits them because drivers are getting out of the way and it will provide them some more clean air we see if L stroll decides to pck now as well will he respond they the Aston Martin's probably not thinking about the double stack and Lance stroll is continuing for now so he's extending this soft stin the only driver out there at the moment on the soft compounds uh valter botas holding up George Russell it seems as Sergio Perez gets ahead of Logan sergeant and gets a bit of clean air and sees the rear wing of the Mercedes the next driver ahead of him which is George Russell Logan Sergeant where is he going to come out on here but I think Sergeant's going to lose a lot of positions here by staying out as long as he has done on this medium compound he's going to lose all those positions to Alonzo Alor Magnus Ricardo and okon and potentially zenu as they head down into turn one and zenu could potentially do an overtake with an extra lap of um of running on those tires as we can see there as soon as Perez gets a little bit of Clean Air he is set the fastest first sector we can see that the Gap at the front piastri Norris is staying at a consistent 2.6 seconds 2 and a half seconds P doing a good job of managing his tires in this early stage of this race uh Hamilton there one second back from Max v stappen as it seems Max V stappen is he conscious I mean he wouldn't want to give the DRS to Lewis Hamilton but has is Max ven starting to struggle on the early stages of this race we saw the Red Bull struggle and be a tire muncher in Silverstone and well due to some great strategy call they was able to get back into the race and nearly win it but that Red Bull is not as Supreme on the tires as it used to be that's for sure it does seem like he got just a bit more of a move on out of turn one there on Lewis Hamilton um but yeah you keep an eye on that gap between Max and Norris up front and see if that falls back uh anymore Hamilton needs a good last corner of course he does yeah of course he does bon needs to tell L to get Max into the RS well the problem is as well like it's this early phase not a lot really happens in the early phases of this race guys or of any race anymore because these drivers um they have to manage their tires so unless they get a real opportunity of an overtake they don't want to sit around that one second Mark um so unless Hamilton really sees an opportunity of taking it to Max for stappen and gaining that position um he'll sit back around the 1.4 1.5 second Mark just look after his tire so he's not within the dirt yeah um but that Gap to Lando and mapen now out to 2 seconds we'll see if that closes again down into turn one that middle sector the McLaren seems to be strong in and the last sector uh in particular uh I'm impressed with pastri at the moment um he's going well 2.8 seconds to his teammate L Norris a 24.2 compared to a 24.5 is that too quick though is it too quick of a lap time for Oscar piastri we will see or is that just genuine Pace that he has got at at the moment over Lando and vapen we do know Lando uh is comes on strong at the end of a stint looks after those tires uh so we will see no doubt it'll be about another five to 10 laps until we see those drivers pit for the No Doubt the hard compound Tire in this middle stints what's stopping Russell from overtaking right now um he is just stuck behind botas who is on a quicker compound of tire so you can see there that botas 25 um you got to remember he's on the hard compound Tire he's probably he's trying to go long he's on a different strategy um but it's not ideal for him because look Perez has caught up to the back of George Russell so quickly in that clean air but now they've got a road block of the stake F1 car but we can see that STW still continuing to push this me this soft compound in this first in Yuki soda up two positions in uh on medium compound tires there up in eighth place botas in ninth Russell in 10th Perez 11th of course they're still yet to make pit stops gazley also uh their head of hulkenberg still yet to make a pit stop as well after starting from the pit Lane but with 12 laps into this race 59 laps still to go guys piastri is your leader from L Norris 3 seconds ahead of Lando he's around two10 quicker than Lando per lap at the moment but is he taking too much out of his tires we we will see time will tell as Lando is uh 3.2 seconds back from Oscar now so is Oscar just using a bit more of his rear tires out of turn one and out of turn two um we'll see if that Gap closes at the end of this first in between the two McLaren drivers but stappen two temp two seconds back from L Norris now so he was attempt slower than Lando OA just in a management phase also Lewis Hamilton going quite nicely also uh lapping the same lap times as V stappen and pretty much land Norris so the Mercedes at the moment has quite decent race Pace better than expected Charles declair 24.6 he is slightly slower than the Mercedes and well the top four drivers uh in P5 1.5 seconds back from Lewis we can see signs there 3.9 seconds back from his teammate who had a very poor start and then 7 and a half seconds back is Lance stroll but piastri um has a pit window nearly to Lance stroll 20 seconds it is to La stroll he really needs over 21 seconds 22 seconds probably to be sure um to get out ahead of the Aston Martin of course L strol will be pitting soon no doubt and then there will be a clear pit window for piastri and no doubt L Norris also any rain forecast there was a 20% chance of rain in the air but I don't think it's going to arrive um it looks sunny on the TV coverage at the moment in Hungary so unless there is a real shift in the weather I doubt we're going to see any rain but this race there's still a lot to be had in this race um by any means as every race is now unless there is increment weather these drivers pretty much get into this first in and start Tire saving Tire management it's just the nature of F1 now um and well we can see that here with these drivers but I'm intrigued piastri is it pure Pace or is he taking too much out of his tires is he going too gun ho he's just done a 23.8 he's on average two temps faster than Norris each lap 3.5 seconds that Gap is now for Sten 2.7 seconds 2.8 seconds back from Lando so as we described is that red bull starting to munch its tires I think this Red Bull has now become a bit of a tire muncher we saw that rear it ugly head at Silverstone got away with it in the wet conditions um to be honest with you and uh some great strategy calls brought ver sappan back into that race but if it was a dry race for out I think the Red Bull would have definitely not had an opportunity of winning Silverstone um or the British gone PR last time around Hamilton going quite nicely just matching the stens times at the moment happy to go as fast as the Red Bull ahead an outside opportunity of a Podium position today for Lewis Hamilton not completely out of it when it comes to the win so we'll see even though he is 7.7 seconds back from Oscar piastri um we can see there that it was a 24.7 last time around for theapp and and Hamilton and we can see that piastri was a 23.8 five tempts quicker than his teammate Norris with a 24.3 I am a bit scared that piastra is taking too much out of his tires in this early phase and I think L is going to come on strong as the trend has been in the uh throughout the early parts of this season guys so let's keep an eye out on that let's keep an eye on it um St do I think it's possible for Oscar to get his made and win today it is and he's definitely got an opportunity for it he P1 but is he taking too much out of his tires this is where obviously past's weakness we know it's Tire management so today he's in pole position to manage those tires and to uh see if he's made improvements on that weakness and get this win across the line cuz well he seems to um he seems to have been pretty much on par with his teammate Norris so Norris Norris's engineer being told telling Norris your race is still with the stappen interesting interesting um so we can see the Charles declair is staying onto the back of Lewis Hamilton Charles Clair doing well and there we go L stroll pitting so we now have a clear Pit Stop window for piastri with 24.8 seconds to Yuki sonoda guys so Hamilton is breaking too late um that's probably if he's breaking a bit too late it's most likely because he's in the DRS but we can see there Perez is Russell and Perez still stuck behind valter botas wanting to go long L stroll coming out right into the middle of Magnuson and Daniel Ricardo there and no doubt going to get eaten up and swallowed up by the ARB car of Daniel Ricardo as they've got much warmer tires then lch stroll down into turn two we can see there Daniel Ricardo has made overtakes it at this exact Corner before and L stroll just holds him off on a set of medium compound tires and slots in between uh magdon and Ricardo number Danny Rick is p7 because a number of drivers are still yet to make pit stops ahead of him uh drivers who were uh who were behind him the likes of botas Russell Perez and gazley um and hulkenberg they well hulkenberg made a very early pit stop by looks of it due to some damage that he received on the first lap um but yeah there's there's still lot of drive there half the field still yet to make a pit stop so uh but here we go piastri 3.4 seconds ahead of Norris there the lap 's more identical uh match just stpp and dropping back to 3.5 seconds now um so definitely not on Pace with the two McLaren it definitely looks like it's in the McLaren's hands it all depends on how their performance is going to be on the hard compound Tire which no doubt these drivers will be going on to next uh Hamilton 1.1 seconds back back from ven I think um ven starting to struggle a little bit on those tires 15 laps into this race now uh no other driver well it's the longest we've seen uh drivers on a set uh well actually no sorry straw was on 17 lap old softs but I think the tires are going to last these medium compound tires are probably going to last until um when were they last probably 20 laps I reckon maybe a bit longer so um just let him scan the post Max is fastest when on hards we'll see we'll see yeah this is multiv viwer Super GT Super GT this is multi view up so uh Max and leis playing they're just they're just going along they're just going along nicely guys it's just going on nicely G starts from P20 to P11 yeah but he's still got to make a pit stop but they'll be trying to hang out as long as possible those guys who are on the hard compound tires Russell Perez gazley hulkenberg now as well uh hoping that there's a safety car but at the moment no one's making a move at this stage of the race um as Hamilton dives into the pits apologies I missed that Hamilton has pitted and is out he's the first driver to pull the trigger so is he going to get some clean air well Yuki sonoda is there in front of him on a set of medium compound tires it's not ideal for the Mercedes team they would have liked to get him out ahead of sonod I don't know if that was a slow stop from Hamilton we'll see if that was the case um but he's got a bit of clean a and should be able to make this undercut workers botas also out as well so that's released Russell and Perez um there as you can see as botas slots in ahead of Logan Sergeant um so no doubt these positions will still change come the end of this race with drivers on very different strategies so I'm watching Lewis Hamilton's Pit Stop to see how quick it was was it a slow Pit Stop was it good no it was a good Pit Stop 2.3 seconds so that was by design for L Hamilton to go onto the hard compound tires but they weren't able to get him out ahead of Yuki codo as Le Hamilton does fastest in the middle sector he is now already onto the back of Yuki but you would think with the extra grip that he has as Lando is also into the pits he will be able to get ahead of Yuki quite comfortably down into turn one as ven continues lir continues pastri continues but it seems like Norris are they covering off Lewis Hamilton of all people because Lewis Hamilton with DRS is definitely going to easily dispatch the RB car of Yuki Coda you would assume down into turn one and he does and he does but Yuki is he going to fight it no so Lewis Hamilton did catch but maybe got held up a little bit by Yuki Coda there with how much time he progressed so we'll see if Lewis is able to catch up to the back of Lando as I think if Lando went for maybe an extra lap he might have been vulnerable there but for stappen well you would think now with the time for the time for Hamilton has gained there as Albano gets past Lance stroll or no regains holds on to the position from Lance stroll and stroll comes back at him and is now back behind his teammate into p13 some moves being made here as botas also looking at Aon there into turn two and there are moves happening out on circuit we can see George Russell and Perez there going long on this set of hard compound tires in eighth and Ninth at the moment they will be hoping for a safety car um or a red flag of some sort so that they can jump themselves back into to this race but let's see how Lewis Hamilton copes with the pace of the McLaren of Lando Norris as as pastri comes into the pits as well and it looked like a very good pitch stop from piastri in and out very quickly for the McLaren driver there and he will come out ahead of his teammate how many seconds will he still be ahead of his teammate and that's a very good pitch stop by the McLaren team of piastri as Lewis Hamilton sets the fastest lap of this race of course Landon Norris still yet to do a full Ed lap as that was technically his out laap there last time around as Max is saying I can't break I can't enter Corners front and Rears it's really bad so max not happy with his tires and as we predicted um I think that Red Bull is starting to munch its tires um as it did in Silverstone last time out so Louis Hamilton did a 13.3 we'll see what Lando Norris's time is it's 2.8 seconds between the uh the Mercedes driver of leis Hamilton and Lando Norris in P5 it's 2.3 seconds between Norris and piastri so there was about 1.5 seconds gained um in that undercut that Norris has done on piasing um and we can see that Aon has lost a position to Val botas there they were fighting fighting last time around uh but that Gap 2.6 seconds now with Hamilton and Norris so Hamilton gaining a little bit on Lando uh but the stappen still yet not coming into the pits he's complaining about his tires but isn't responding at the moment and is that because of Russell and Perez you can see there George Russell 24.4 seconds back as is Sergio Perez with 25 seconds back maybe they're not comfortable with that pit window and getting them out ahead of George Russell and Sergio Perez what sucks is that AMX has like an eight-point lead sunny haes sunny haes uh Max offsetting yeah yeah potentially it does look like the Red Bull Engineers the pit crew are getting ready though so it won't be long until Max comes into the pits but Hamilton a full half a second quicker than Lando Norris last time out on this set of hard compound tires so he is chipping away at that gap of the McLaren of Lando Norris I thought Lando's lap time would be a little bit more quicker than that and matching the at least well at least quicker than the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton but it hasn't uh it hasn't been the case that is for likes of Russell Perez gazley and hulkenberg pit and Yuki sonoda as they've gone very long V Sten extending this stint still um he is lapping the same Pace interestingly though as Charles the Clair he is not quicker than that of the Ferrari of Charles declair and that is quite worrying we can see a 23.4 last time around for Lando Norris and a 23.6 for Oscar piastri Hamilton a 23.3 so he is the quickest driver out on circuit at the moment is Lewis Hamilton as Lewis is reporting this tire definitely has less grip but he is the quickest driver out there um but of course if there's a lot more sliding in that car it means that the hard compound Tire will not be lasting as long as they hope but um still good driving thus far from Lewis Hamilton in this stage of the race 50 laps remaining so we come round turn 14 and Max is into the pits 20 laps completed and Max for Sten is into the pit Lane he dives into the pitch Charles declair extends Carlo SS into the pits as well it looks like why is that car uh caros SS also into the pits as well as astri Norris and Hamilton go past so how much of a gap is Hamilton going to have on Max with Tappen at this stage Charles declair says think about plan C oh we're making our way down the alphabet now for the Ferrari drivers um matx Sten gets out ahead of Yuki soda so that's obviously what they would have been hoping for uh Yuki soda is still ahead of Russell and Perez Russell and Perez just extending just working together trying to extend this hard compound as long as possible Hamilton now 1.8 seconds behind Lando Norris he is gaining on the McLaren drivers as it stands Oscar piastri a bit more of a response he seems to have fired up his hard compound tires better than Lando has Lando done a 23.6 and Hamilton did a 23.4 as did piastri they are easily a second faster than Charles declair at the moment um signs also came out onto the heart Max ven has a 7c gap to to Lewis Hamilton but has a five laap Delta over Lewis Hamilton but Lewis is gaining 1.6 1.7 seconds on the McLaren of of Lando so we'll see if um he's able to to gain even more on the McLaren of Lando is Lando not as comfortable on this hard compound tire than he was on the medium we have seen that the McLaren as it's a purple from Lewis Hamilton the fastest lap this race of 23.1 compared to Norris's 23 .5 last time round and we have seen the McLaren come into its own and be very strong on the medium compound tire but maybe left a little bit more to be desired on the hard of compound Tire um so yes Hamilton and piastri doing much better on the hards at the moment then Lando Norris it seems uh but Lewis just lost a little bit of time there 1.7 seconds to Lando so we'll keep an eye out on that interval but Lewis while he was complaining about the tire seems to be setting the fastest s so Charles declair is still out no he hasn't pitted he's extending he's going long I reckon I wonder if Charles declair might go for the One Stop guys will he try it hang on hang on this need to take crits spin it out please okay okay so he hasn't really said much about the hard compound time but I wonder I wonder if they're going to go long I wonder if the um Charles deair oh no he's as I say that he's into the pits lap 22 uh sorry lap 24 he is into the pitch Charles declair so pastry regains the position and sets the fastest lap of the race at 23.1 3 seconds now to his teammate um leis Hamilton just made a slight mistake there it seems in the last sector middle and last sector um so maybe getting too close to Lando Norris and just deciding to drop back but we can see theen putting his foot down there at 22.7 from Max ven trying to close down that Gap to the front three as he's only 5 and a half seconds back now a 22.7 from him last time out Charles deir stops in ahead of Yuki Coda so a good pit stop from the Ferrari team there as Carlos SS is ahead of Sergio Perez now uh so maybe that's why Ferrari decided to pit lir when he did because he was losing too much time to Yuki Coda and George Russell um but yeah piastri is back in the lead from Lando Norris in P2 Hamilton in P3 ven in P4 chasing down the Gap to Lewis Hamilton and chasing it down quite considerably UK Charles declair in P5 we can have cuki soda in P6 George Russell uh in p7 up 10 positions 23 Laps on this hard compound tires at the moment trying to go as long as possible and goal hang for safety car no doubt Carlos SS in p8 we can see Perez up seven positions doing the same thing as George Russell goal hanging for a safety car in P9 Sams gazley who started from the pit Lane in 10th hulkenberg had to make a pit stop after only one lap um or two laps due to some damage caught on the first lap he is in p 11 also doing the same going long on a set of hard compound tires we have Alonzo in 12 strw in 13th on the mediums we have Albano in 14th Mattis in 15th Ricardo down seven positions in 16th not looking good for Ricardo at the moment who had a poor start to this race potentially taking over Perez SE in the summer break as science is all over the back of George Russell at the moment he has a big tire deficit over George Russell and gets the move done down around turn one and dispatches George Russell to regain p p7 and nearly be one position back from his teammate only Yuki soda ahead of him who is on 24 old lap medians but update on the gap between Hamilton and ven we can see that ven is uh done another 22.7 and that is well nearly a 4 second quicker than Lewis Hamilton last time around so Lewis Hamilton now dropped 2.3 2.4 seconds back from Lando Norris so has he started to lose the tires here by pushing too early in the start of this middle uh we will see but Lando 3.2 seconds back from piastri as piastri is Comfortably quicker than Lando just running those consistent lap times so this is a good race thus far with 45 laps remaining from Oscar piastri who got ahead of his teammate down into turn one at the start of this race B still stuck behind Russell meanwhile SS yeah I mean it's a tire you need a tire deficit here uh you need a tire Delta sorry you need uh that extra grip to really get past some of these um some of these cars and some of these drivers the signs look you can see there so much extra grip out of turn 14 DRS open he going to get past ukis before they even get down into turn one and there you go the Ferrari the red icon of Carlo signs easily makes short work of DUI sonoda in p7 who is still yet to pit there that gaggle of sonoda Russell Perez and gazley still yet to pit the only drivers yet to pit in this race so let's have a little bit look further down the grid we can see Magnuson is uh being chased by Daniel Ricardo now valter botas also on that mini train hulkenberg under attack from Fernando Alonzo fenberg has gone very long and Alonzo thinking about going around the outside of turn two but doesn't get it done is he going to have the grip and the drive out of turn three to have a move into the risky turn for the Kink where we saw Charles declair bin it on Friday in fp2 no he's okay holds him off for just a little bit longer but no doubt that will be a formality next time around Alonzo and um Alonzo and stroll both on much younger medium compound tires as Oscar pastri well oh where's that come from Oscar a 22.6 from Oscar piastri woo very quick 27,700 subs thank you three he's going to have a move L stroll it's risky he's got he's in a toe into turn four but has to back out of it and we have to sit behind the H for the remainder of this lap so we can see p asria 22.7 now he's comfortably into the 22s lapping the same Pace as Max for stappen there in P4 that Gap to Max and Hamilton uh sorry Max and Hamilton um for stabin and Hamilton now down to 3.1 seconds guys uh as H as ven did a 22.6 and Lewis is consistently doing uh mid to low 23 so he's definitely dropping off the pace Lewis Here is this by Design is this him wanting to tie save and extend or is he genuinely starting to struggle on that hard compound Tire uh if there's no safety car Yuki is in deep trouble well yeah that's what they're trying to hold out for but maybe they're trying to go for a one stop as well they might be trying to go for the one stop that's probably what Russell and Perez are going to try and do they need to do something different to the rest of the field um and they're probably going to try and go as long as possible on this as hulberg loses that position to Lance stroll down into turn one uh nearly holds on to it hulberg and comes back but yes L stro had to wait the remainder of the lap but here we go Norris is he starting to get a move on because that's a purple middle sector for Lando Norris only a few hundreds of a second quicker than his teammate um there but is Lando now starting to put pedal to the medal we can see that lir responds with the fastest middle sector by two temps um as Alex elborne saying we're thinking um his team told him about we're thinking about going to plan B and albon said I don't like that we're too indecisive just tell me um and I have to agree with him that we saw this with Lando Norris giving him the decision we think you should do this think you should do that just tell the driver driver what to do you have more information um and the driver will drive to that strategy as Charles aair fastest lap of anyone thus far a 22.3 a good lap from Charles declair there as he might be thinking about chasing down Max V stappen who knows there's a 7.7 gap between Charles declair and vapen so a long way for him to catch that up he needs a good few more laps and Hamilton bapen to potentially fight in this race uh but you can see there that gazley and Perez they've l lasted as long as they can they're into the pit Lane and they there is no safety C George Russell stays out there for a bit longer but perz and gazley are now into the pit Lane Daniel Ricardo comes in for his second Pit Stop of this Race So Daniel Ricardo pitting early trying to do the undercut on nose is he was stuck behind Kevin Magnuson and B botas ahead of him we'll see if Perez with the extra tires here on the med fresh mediums let's see his racing chops and see if he can dispatch those drivers of him Charles declair another fastest middle sector from him he's flying on this set of hard compound tires at the moment no doubt going to set another purple lap here the gap between vapen and Hamilton in third and fourth is now 2.1 seconds Hamilton is chasing down that Mercedes as it's a 22.1 for Charles declair two laps in a row he has set the fastest lap purple caros SS how is he doing at the moment at 22.9 but piastri definitely has the face over Lando and well I think he's also saving at the same time thus far this has been a very good and commanding drive by Oscar piastri since he's got out up front um we can see sonoda now pitting where is he going to come out he's going to lose a lot of positions here Yuki um let's see where he comes out it might not be too bad for him let's see here we go did I say Hamilton chasing that Mercedes ven chasing that Mercedes as Perez look at it's getting very very close there Yuki Coda out of the pit Lane Magnuson and Perez is having a move on Val botas there as well and Perez gets ahead of Val botas and he'll be looking could he maybe potentially dispatch Magnuson here as it's tight between all four of them into turn three as hulkenberg is out of the pit Lane as well albon now makes his Pit Stop Ricardo gets out ahead of Dani uh gets out ahead of niik hogenberg and no doubt this is drivers um this is their second Pit Stop of this race hoping to take this hard compound Tire 40 laps it's still a long way for these for these hard compound tires to go but Daniel Ricardo I guess needed to do something because he was losing time and needed clean air but Yuki Coda maintains the position ahead of Magnuson and Perez looking now at the back of Magnuson Russell still out there is he going to go hang even go hang even longer of course he would have to go onto the medium compound tire and 40 laps is a long way for the this medium compound to go uh as he's in a race on his own at the moment but Hamilton that Gap update 1.7 seconds between Hamilton and ven as it stands Max continuing to eat into that Gap about 3 temps per lap for P3 we can see that piastri and Norris is 4.3 seconds between piastri and Norris and piastri has around two to three temps per lap on Lando Norris as it stands uh okon into the H Perez having a move on Magnuson down into turn one this is for p 11 and Perez does he make the move stick Magnus we know he doesn't give it up lightly he's also out of a seat at har this year or at the end of this year and Perez on those fresher medium compound tires gets the move done on Magnuson comfortably as okon is now going to be laed by Oscar piastri and goes back to P20 so not a good day for the alping driver at the moment of course other drivers still yet to pit but it's still quite early for this second pit stop I feel um Russell on a special run he's trying to do something different isn't he he's trying to do something so yeah let's have an update of this race we are nearly nearly halfway through this race guys it is Oscar piastri leading by Lando Norris 4.4 seconds ahead of his teammate one Pit Stop made by at least everyone other than George Russell uh on this track at the moment we have le Hamilton in P3 being chased down by Max fappen but we can see there 23.4 maybe he's taken a bit too much out of his tires as leis Hamilton 23.5 that was much better from him as that Gap hasn't closed as significantly last time around they're in third and fourth Charles lir in fifth science in sixth lir has got that gap down to ven from 7.7 to 5.7 now so he's looking to close that gap on the max in P4 signs in sixth Russell in seventh still yet to piit up 10 positions uh on the hard compound Tire Alonzo and straw in eighth and Ninth they're on the mediums no doubt Alonzo will be looking to make a second pit stop soon we can see sonoda there has just made his Pit Stop on a fresh suit set of Hearts is in the last points position in 10th Perez fastest in the first sector he's one position away from the points places and he is Mo no doubt going to take it this uh next time around into the first corner on Yuki sonoda sonoda also Vine for that seat of Sergio Perez it's been a good drive from Sergio thus far but look a recovery Drive isn't good enough you should be up there fighting with the Ferraris with your teammate with the McLaren and the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton not for the last points position as it currently stands we can see that Magnuson is in p12 he's not having too bad of a race but he's about to get swamped and overtaken by Val botas potentially as they head down into turn one Yuki Coda oh he tried to hold off Sergio Perez it looked like he did it briefly but he loses the position to Sergio into turn one and well I guess it was only a matter of time while sui is on Fresh tires Perez is on the softer compound medium Tire compared to sonoda's hard so yes Perez makes quick work of Yuki and he's up into P10 up six positions but it's a very long way for Sergio Perez to get these medium tires to the end of the race he might have to make another pit stop come uh before the end of this race as we are nearly halfway through this race there Oscar piastri got a track limits violation it seems through turn 11 last time out um he just had to get past es banok on there who didn't really make it very easy for him it seems um as that Gap to piastri and Norris is now down to 2.4 seconds so piastri has just lost a considerable amount of time there trying to get past EST bokon it seems that wasn't very kind from the French driver was it as for stappen is on the back of Lewis now half a second behind he's caught up to the back of Lewis Hamilton how much will Lewis be able to fight as George Russell finally dives into the pit Lane 34 laps he has done on this set of tires we'll see what he comes uh comes out to we can see okon is having the flag waved by piastri uh sorry for Lando Norris but Lando smells blood you can see there the last lap was a 25.8 for piastri as he got really held up behind um estan oon unless it was the off that he had through turn 11 uh but V stappen he'll be Iron up and move down into turn one here gazley into the pitch Sergeant into the pitch we're starting to see a few more pit stops um but they get out ahead of them Norris gets ahead of okon a lot cleaner than pastri was able to that's for sure but here we go Hamilton and ven DRS open for the Red Bull driver will Hamilton defend wiver stap and go for a late move Hamilton stays ahead for now into turn one but there's another DRS Zone down into turn two it's a short run but it seems that maxen has to drive they side by side down into turn two Max stappen DRS open and he gets to move down on Lewis Hamilton he concedes but there're side by side and Lewis regains the position on Max withen through turn three great racing from the two old rivals and Hamilton holds off Max ven for another lap Max ven got to head down into turn two but Hamilton looks like he did the cut back on H on v stappen as he went too deep into the corner and the two Rivals it's the first time we've seen them go willto will for a very long time and thankfully they got through this short battle without any contact love it love it guys love it uh botas finally gets past Kevin magson as he dives into the pit Lane Perez is all over the back of Lance Str at the moment so watching this replay as Hamilton did lock up down into turn one with Max ven halfheartedly going for a move uh vapen tried to go round the outside of Lewis and he went too deep and Max just went way too deep Max went way too deep as he went around the outside got on the marbles and Lewis just went thank you I'll come back but um max ven now is uh a little bit too far back he's lost DRS to Lewis importantly has that taken a lot out of his tires Charles declair in that slight battle there has gained considerably on the two as he's 2.2 seconds back from Max ven the Ferrari driver um looking to have a really good good race here or recovery of a good race after a terrible Friday um but let's jump to the top of your timing screens though because piastri is 1.5 seconds back from Lando Norris um kind of a bit more normal service resume with pastri lap times but it is it has kind of flipped on its head a bit as we see pastri three temps uh losing a couple of temps per lap now to Lando how much has that really thrown out of piastri here uh did Aon and are these lap cars just throwing pastri out of sink um and vapen really not happy about his car he's s i minus five break bias and this thing just does not F in turn so he's not happy about that Red Bull whatsoever it was uncharacteristic of Max you would think he would have the grip to go around the outside there he is going to have another opportunity as he's back within the DRS of Lewis Hamilton there eight tempts back um so Lewis has had a bit of a slow middle sector it seems and we'll see if Max is going to be close enough down into turn one piastri 1.4 seconds ahead 1.6 seconds ahead of his teammate L noris at the moment that Gap has come down considerably so here we go again round two match Sten is a lot closer four atts back from Lewis Hamilton last time around it was a lock up from LS that allow Max to go for the move around the outside Max goes for the break but he's not close enough to go for that move down the inside and no doubt he'll have to wait another lap to have a go on the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and while this is occurring is just going to allow Charles declair to close in 2.4 seconds he's lost a couple of attempts while Max and Lewis had a clean up and didn't go side by side but if they do even for a couple of Corners that will allow the Ferrari of Charles declair to jump straight in on this battle and that would be great for us viewers wouldn't it guys that' be great for us viewers Charles is waiting he is indeed guys he is indeed uh I swear if McLaren D call team orders I they can't call team orders no they just got to tell them to be sensible tell them to be sensible you can't you can't give team orders right now uh but piastri is losing time in the last sector I think um he's well he's just lost a bit of time to Jo there he just lost a bit of time to Jo I don't think the traffic's been too kind to piastri so we'll see we still got 33 laps left we still got another pit stop left so here we go the staing and Hamilton once again down into turn one the Clair is going to be saying fight boys fight it out as V stappen gets very close to Lewis Hamilton they're side by side no ven just can't get the drive out of the corner into turn one uh into turn one and he's all over the rear wing of Lis Hamilton is he going to have the grip out of turn turn three and have a move have a very bold Deary move down into turn four he's very very close and no he has to sit back again Lewis Hamilton holding off Match for Sten for a bit longer here and this is the nature of a hungara ring if you don't have the drive if you don't have that extra Tire Delta it's difficult to overtake down into turn one and down into turn two and look at that with Charles declair now 1.1 seconds behind Max for stappen this battle has brought the Ferrari driver into it and he's almost within DRS no doubt he'll be within the DRS under breaking here into the last last couple of Corners you would assume but even so he will be snapping at their heels waiting to pounce we know that they have history Hamilton ven Hamilton defending very well from vasten positioning his car well it's great to see these two drivers go at it they were chatting on the driver's parade beforehand but here we go again Max for staing in the DRS Charles of clear lost a little bit of traction out the last corner so isn't close enough for that DRS activation Max late on the breaks again half a half a second back from Lewis Hamilton can he get the drive more DRS as they head down into turn two it looks like he's a bit further back than he was before does he try to do something to unsettle Lewis no he can't but he is all over the rear wing Hamilton is being hounded by Max at the moment and we can see there that really the only overtaking opportunity on this circuit Max just doesn't have enough to get past this Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton at the moment there is still another lap still another pit stop to come we have 32 laps remaining but Charles declair is waiting he's waiting for these two to come together but Max of course wants that win he's not thinking about the podium he's thinking about the win but the longer he stays behind Lewis Hamilton the further it gets away from him as he's 10.7 seconds behind piastri now that gap between pastri and Norris is 1.2 seconds it is in McLaren's hands a one2 for the two McLarens but who is going to be in one who is going to be in that first place which order is it going to be we will see we will see lir waiting he is Max is using used to isn't used to fighting for third place no no so here we go again ding ding ding round five I believe this is as Max DRS open he is a bit closer 6 and a half T back you can see that interval closing closing 3.8 seconds behind now he's closer than he's ever been is he going to go for a move down into turn one he's definitely gone he's definitely gone very close Lewis Hamilton seems to hold him off a bit longer DRS he's closer than he's ever been down into turn two they side by side no just leis Hamilton holding off for stappen once more but is he going to have a drive down into turn four he's close two 10 one and a half TS back no and once again for the fifth time Lewis Hamilton holds off Max for stappen and now Charles declair gets within the 1 second range of DRS of Max V stappen so max will not only have to think about looking ahead and attacking the Mercedes he also has to look behind at a very bright red Livery of Charles lir who is on a couple of lap fresher tires than that of for stappen and Hamilton here we go here we go guys if you're enjoying this stream please pit Lane Charles declair responds also Max ven is released but how much has Max ven taken out of that hard compound Tire Lewis does have a set of hard compound tires to use uh but Charles declair has a brand new set of media so let's see what they are on as they come out Hamilton is on the hard and the Clair is on the mediums so Lewis Hamilton could lose a position here to Charles declair who will be on the quicker tire but how long will that Medium compound Tire last Will Lewis have will the hard compound Tire be better on Lower fuel at the latter stages of this race and have more Tire left than the medium compound Tire we will see but the teammates for 2025 they're very close on circuit next year that number five of Lewis Hamilton there will be in red and well let's see how these two teammates future teammates Get on um with 30 laps remaining in this race of course racing for different teams at the moment chasing down the last Podium position which is still on the cards here for both of them with that holding up match for stappen it really helped good pit stops for the Ferrari and the Mercedes 2.8 for leis Hamilton and 2.9 for Charles declair but Charles declair I would expect to get past Le Hamilton quite quickly it depends on how long those tires last in Charles de Clair's hands compared to the hards of Lewis Hamilton one more pit stop there's one more pit stops them hard tires lasted for five laps lose I know David I know but that's different fuel loads we're in a different stage of the race now so um just watching Oscar replay of Oscar piastri through turn 11 and he had a big snap of oversteer so when he had an off track earlier on and lost a bit of time um to Oscar when he lost a lot of time to uh Lando Norris that lap where it went from 4.4 seconds to 1.2 almost um he went considerably wide and had midc Corner over steer through turn 11 did well to save it but of course dirty tires and then being held up by estan oon didn't help but that Gap he has responded that Gap is now out to 1.8 seconds um oh Max is really not happy with his pit wall it's quite impressive how we let ourselves get undercut um really effing impressive so max is really not happy and you as I said unless something happens with with the two McLaren drivers it is Theirs to lose and Max will be finishing on the podium position well might not even be finishing on the podium position but now he's been releasing some clean air he is cut into that time of Lando Norris um thanks mu yeah thank you guys yeah if you if you liking this stream if you're liking my commentary and of course we'll have a Q&A after this as well so you don't just stick around afterwards to see Tak in what has happened throughout this race and any questions that you want to ask of course uh I can't get through all of your comments throughout this race um but I do try my best uh we can take everything in and uh yeah who knows 28 laps remaining there's still a long way to go who knows how this race is going to pan out is patri going to be able to get his first win is lon Norris going to be able to get his second win of course five times now L uh L Norris um pastre being informed uh very early to stop now um L Norris five times now he started on pole position in either a Sprint race or a full race and hasn't LED after lap one after losing that position to his teammate Oscar pastri it's been a great drive from him thus far but yeah still a long way to go still one more pit stop to go for both piastri Norris and Ven and Carlos SS but Carlos SS you would think is out of this race with Hamilton and the Clair uh already made their pitch stop it's interesting that Charles Clair not got past Le Hamilton just yet and I suppose leis Hamilton will want to fight this and let lir use up his medium tires those softer compound tires because the longer he does the less likely he is to be on the attack on the charge and be able to maintain that and he'll no doubt just eventually fall back from leis Hamilton who has those longer lasting hard compound tires so Charles aair actually just loses the DRS there in the last sector so while he was quicker in the first sector Charles deair has just gone deep into turn 13 I think it was and has lost the DRS activation just before turn 14 and that's really cost him there 1.3 seconds back from Lewis Hamilton now and oh that's not what Ferrari wanted for Charles declair because as we said he's only going to have a limited amount of time to go on the attack of Lewis Hamilton Hamilton should not fight the Clair to undercut Max uh well yeah this is it this is it so we'll see we will see at the moment Hamilton hasn't had to fight the Clair he's just driving and the Clair hasn't been able to get close enough but let's have a run down through the grid guys 27 laps remaining it is piastri leading from Lando Norris 1.9 seconds back Lando Norris is from piastri still a pit stop to be made by him fappen is in P3 also another pit stop to be made SS is in fourth still yet to make his second Pit Stop Hamilton is in fifth lir is in six we can see that Ricardo has got past valter botas Ricardo up into p12 and well he is now only a Fernando Alonzo away between his teammate Yuki sonoda who I think will be doing the one stop here um so yeah Yuki is or maybe he maybe he'll make another pit stop I think Yuki's got to stay out there uh otherwise you're throwing away a points position aren't you uh if you bring Yuki in but Alonzo will probably catch Yuki um so we'll see how that goes but yes uh Ricardo now looking to try and make gains on Fernando Alonzo up ahead who is on fresher tires uh but we can see lir in sick Perez who will see if he can take these mediums to the end I think he's got a try um he is in p7 up nine positions as is George Russell in eight they both started on a hard compound tire went very long we have L stroll in P9 uh snowa in P10 as it stands Alonzo in P1 Ricardo 12 botas 13th hogenberg 14th alono 15th Magnuson 16th um oh I didn't realize gazl retired oh no how is it only just taken me this long to realize gazley retired the second race in the row for Alpine where they've retired and the second year in the row where gazley has retired at the hung Hungarian Grand Prix not a great race for Alpine and for gazley shocking shocking by those drivers uh by that team shocking um he retired 12 lap I know I know i' I've just look that's how much interest I have with alpine to be honest with you [Laughter] guys not a lot Happ as Norris is in the pits Norris into the pit Lan so here we go he's going to get out ahead of Hamilton um there's a blue flag waved for zenu and Lewis Hamilton has gained well he's only 5 seconds behind Lando Norris now um as he pitted five laps earlier Lando you would expect would get more out of this medium compound Tire this is where the McLaren is very strong in the last intint of a race on the medium compound Tire it's very very good I would say at the moment the McLaren is the quickest car I mean it's been the quickest car today but it's the quickest car out of anyone on low fuel on medium tires that's for sure um it's absolutely Supreme as L stroll comes into the pits as well so he's not going to the end on those mediums um so we'll see what he comes out on uh but he's going to lose a position to Daniel Ricardo and have to overtake him out on track uh but Hamilton that Gap lir 1.1 seconds still not able to get back within the DRS you can see there Lando switches those medium compound tires on very quickly and is purple in the first second sector already Oscar piastri has stayed out a bit longer so Pi is being told best Pace now best Pace now so let's see how they do with Oscar piastri do not do not F this up do not allow Lando to do an undercut here on Oscar piastro if they allow Lando to do the undercut on pastry I that is Shady that is very shady and undeserved for Oscar pastri we will see keep an eye on that guys he is being held he is on the back of Carlos SS now so we'll see how long Carlos SS is going to hold up Lando I don't think for very long um well he may do if it's for the remainder of this lap but Oscar piastri is being told fastest laps right now uh but let's see where he comes out no doubt they've got a response cuz the undercut is powerful here they'll be able to get him out ahead of botas surely surely um he is um um oh I can't see the Gap to valter botas unfortunately guys but his oscap asri going to come into the pits now surely he's got to as Norris is being held up by Carlos SS and he is into the pits he is into the pits but I think Norris I think Norris might get I mean he's being held up by signs here so we'll see but I think Norris might get it's going to be very close between the two McLaren drivers as they head down into turn one as ven takes the lead of this race and piastri is out charging to the end of the pit Lane Lando Norris is it could be side by side for the two McLaren drivers as they head down into turn one and Lando Norris unbelievable that is inexcusable by McLaren that is inexcusable they have given their lead driver in this race Oscar piastri they have allowed Lando to do the undercut on the lead driver of the this whole race inexcusable by McLaren in my opinion they've used covering off Lewis Hamilton as an excuse but that I am disgusted I'm a fan of Norris I'm a fan of piastri and I like McLaren however Norris does not deserve this win pastri has done wonders and I hope pastri can take it to Norris here with 23 laps remaining and win this out on track because that is disgusting they will try and sugarcoat it as much as they like but they've allowed Lando to have the first Pit Stop twice and get the undercut which we know is powerful here at Hungary and well that is I do not like that one bit guys I do not like that one bit you don't seem to like that either but I'm I that's what more can piastri do what more can pastri do um you can argue Norris is the number one driver but piastri has managed this race so well so well he got off the start well he's driven amazingly he's managed his tires well he's had the pace on Lando and they've given the favorable strategy and Pit Stop to Lando unbelievable from McLaren I'd like to see them uh try and sugarcoat this after the race but of course there is still a race to be had here 22 laps remaining we will see oh they've asked oh wow they've asked Lando to reestablished the order in your convenience what hang on McLaren have asked him to to give piastri the lead n Norris isn't going to do that Norris isn't going to do that hang on so Lando's been asked to give the position back to Oscar okay that's bold that's bold by McLaren to go uh by the way let's give you the position you need to give the win back to Oscar let's see how this plays out let's see how this plays out shall we Jesus I still stand by that though like why have they given Norris the preferred why have they even put them why have McLaren put themselves in this situation there was no they had Hamilton covered comfortably comfortably there was no need they could have brought piastri in a lap earlier and then brought Norris in the lap after and they still would have been ahead of Hamilton so I don't get that logic so we will see we will see there's 21 laps remaining oh that this could end so poorly for McLaren this could end so poorly you're asking your drivers to swap the position for the win and then go fighting again wow we are in for a cracking last um we're in for a cracking last set of the uh last few laps of this race guys or 20 laps of this race as Max yes uh did Pit um he is in P5 now on the medium compound Tire um Charles declair cannot gain ground on Lewis Hamilton he cannot gain ground on Lewis Hamilton so uh no doubt Max will attack Lewis and he'll have the extra grip but we've seen Lewis defend valiantly from Max already throughout this race so we'll see we'll see but guys themselves in such a precarious position and I just don't see Lando Norris giving this position back to Oscar um so we'll see we'll seeon just proved they're not ready to win championships I just don't know why they've made that decision to cover off Hamilton hang on so Oscar's been told he's got to get to Lando so Oscar's just been told by his Engineers he he has to when you get to Lando when you get to Lando he will give the position so he's got to catch Lando so they're racing pastri has got to catch Lando otherwise Lando's going to win this race very interesting I mean McLaren have just absolutely balls this up haven't they they've absolutely balls this up so nor should give it back now then he has 18 laps to try and retake the lead well the problem is is they've got a charging Max as well they don't want to completely throw this away but they've put them in such a precarious position which they didn't need to put themselves into um they could have just pitted piash first I don't get it they're covering off Hamilton I don't see where they were worried about Hamilton I just don't see it um but hey ho hey ho um he should give in the last Cor the last lap uh but we'll see we'll see but yes 18 laps remaining in this race it is Lando from oscap piastri who has undercut his teammates he is 2.9 seconds ahead of piastri piastri has to catch Lando that is the information that has been relayed by his engineer he has to catch Lando and then Lando will give the position back but we will see he is not catching Lando R of knots that is for sure Hamilton 7.6 seconds back in P3 the now in his DRS he needs to get a move on because vapen who is on freelap Old mediums very young mediums compared to the Clair and Hamilton on older hards um will be checking their rearview mirrors as Max is already in the DRS or about to be of Charles declair uh we can see signs in P6 there uh kind of running a very lonely race for him today George Russell who has gone very long in this race and going for a one stop is in p7 Sergey p is in p8 he's made another stop now um so a good recovery from them done a lot of it in the pit Lane though so I wouldn't necessarily put this down to a great drive by Perez um Sona in P9 in the last points position but he is being chased down oh it's getting a bit saky between Lando and his engineer on the radio all is not well at McLaren as we can see that McLaren well that gap's now gone to 3.5 seconds of pastri and Norris pastri is going to be fuming fuming if he doesn't win this race 17 laps remaining here we can see vapen on the back of Charles Clair he had DRS open Charles cair doesn't have the DRS of Hamilton ven has that extra grip is he going to be able to take it to Max ven sorry Max going be able to take it to the Clair as George Russell makes it in the pits he goes around the outside Charles declair defends does Max get it done no Max has to yield to Charles declair the two drivers who haven't gone willto will for nearly 2 years at the start of the 2022 season and Charles deair holds off for stappen for just a bit longer he can't make that extra grip work and Hamilton is saying Fight It Out Boys Fight It Out Boys Max is so not happy over the radio at the moment he's just saying give me all that energy like he's talking that he's not happy with the strategy he's not a happy bunny whatsoever his post race interviews are going to be really really intriguing to watch and listen to but pastri 3.6 seconds now to Norris as he had to overtake okon and well it is quite comfortable for Lando Norris at the moment as Aon as P had to deal with some lap traffic there's some more lap traffic for them to deal with as well we'll see if Lando is able to clear that past's lap traffic hasn't really been too kind to him today but here we go again ven he's a bit closer half a second behind DRS open can neair defend this time I don't think he can we'll see does he have enough down into Turn One Max no but we know that he had an opportunity last time around into turn two and with DRS open once more but how hard will Charles declair defend no doubt he'll defend to the inside he'll Force the Clair ven to go round the long way and vapen doesn't have an answer he doesn't have an answer at the moment as Charles declair is defending valiantly to Max and Max has not been able to find a way past Hamilton earlier on in this race he hasn't thus far been able to find a way past Charles declair either as we see George Russell sting purples there on a brand new set of hard compound tires and the Red Bull of Max ven is really struggling today it has not quite been at the races he's not happy with the strategy and Max is not a happy bunny whatsoever behind the cop in the cockpit of that Red Bull do sorry for pastri but I want um to see a British boy win yeah look I'm a fan of Lando however pastri done everything right today like if pastri doesn't win this race it's not because piastri is balls the ARP because he's a poor Tire management it's because McLaren have given it to Lando and I hate that in F1 I hate it I hate to see it um so yeah still time left but it's quite clear they have gone land piastri you have to catch Norris which is just horrible horri um so yeah the post race interviews are going to be interesting stick around for the call down room it's still not over yet but we'll see we'll see oh Lando Lando's just Lando I do understand it from his perspective Lando has just spoken about well you they've just said we do want to let Oscar through and he's gone well you shouldn't have boxed me first you should have boxed him first and they said it doesn't matter and he goes well it does so I get it McLaren have put themselves in this situation oh still 15 laps remaining guys let's see let's see what happens uh why is science so slow and what happened to Max uh science has just been running his own race not quite been at the race just been doing his own thing as a matx for Sten look how close it is getting between Hamilton thecar for stpp and a bit of lap traffic here in the awkwardness of Turn 4 13 will Max be able to Capital Li here he's all over the rear wing of Charles declair as um botas is holding these drivers up wow look how close Max is he's going to have DRS as they head down into turn turn one this is helping leis Hamilton all the time though but there's 14 LS remaining and vapen gets past Charles declair down into turn one Charles has no answer held up by valter botas there in the last couple of corners and ven used that to his advantage and overtook with the RS easy down into turn one on the Ferrari of Charles declair and now he will have Lewis Hamilton in his Target sites for that last Podium position with 14 laps remaining hope this get Missy once everyone catches up to the rest of the pack yeah just wait at the end of the lap something will definitely happen to Norris you think team balls uh the call and are trying to push it on the drivers which they have enough going on rather than fixing bad pit calls I agree I agree they've put McLaren pit wall it was s it was just looking like such in their control today and they've ballsed it up now they're still going to get a onew but no one's going to be talking about them securing a onew are they the whole Optics everything is going to be around Norris and P like this decision which is um yeah let's see let's see um I understand it from both perspectives P's been very cool Cal and collected he hasn't really said anything over the radio but I get it from Lando's perspective you've put me in this position so I'm going to take it but I'm not the one who's made this mistake however yeah like and it's for the win as well it's not for like a last Podium position it's for the win Lando's being told you're using the rear too much and then the engineer has gone to Lando I know you'll do the right thing this is getting so messy I can't believe McLaren this situation people would say he's within his right and I get Lando's perspective because he's in his he's he's not the one who's put himself in this position the team have so well still 11 laps remaining that Gap 4.2 seconds it is not getting any closer is it it's not decreasing that's for sure but the gap between Ven and Hamilton is 1.2 seconds at the moment between Ven and Lewis Hamilton a 21.8 last time around for Hamilton and a 20 sorry 218 last time for vapman and a 22.3 for Hamilton he is taking half a second a lap out of Lewis but he is quite clearly in the dirty air now there's 11 laps remaining we've seen Lewis and ham Lewis and Max Go side by side and uh yeah go at it earlier on in this race Lewis was able to hold off the Red Bull but of course this is for a this is for a Podium position there is a tire difference here now and Max V stabin is on younger tires as well so we will see if Max can get that last Podium position I'll tell you what this is going to be a very interesting cool down room because we've got a very pissed off Max for stappen not happy today whatsoever and then we're going to have the whole McLaren situation regardless regardless of how it pans out it's still going to be awkward as [ __ ] in this cool down [Laughter] room um because land has priority no matter what his position um well this is this is it he's the number one driver I get it however uh as V Sten is all over the back of Hamilton by the way he is the number one driver however like piastri has just earned his right to be to be winning this race today he's done everything right everything right he's Tire he's managed his tires very well um and look who knows obviously what's happening at this latter stage of this race he can't cope with the pace of Norris maybe he's maybe pastre is trying to push maybe he's getting caught up I think P's been quite un I mean you don't know what's going through P's head at the moment as well not saying anything but clearly frustrated and not driving as well as he could be in this last in yeah can understand but L is not being greedy he just ahead uh by a while so why the heck would he slow down hang on oh they're so they're pleading with Lando remember every single Sunday morning morning meeting we have McLaren are on their knees they are begging they are praying to Lando please give this back please repair our f up this they are pleading and noris said yeah we'll tell him to catch up then please M and and and cof is now saying would match for stappen move over would Fernando Alonzo move over would Lewis Hamilton move over well Lewis did but this is a win this is a win that we're not asking for a poding position for P2 or P P3 we're talking about the win here so I on one hand I get Landon Norris's perspective on the other like I feel so sorry for pastri because he hasn't done anything wrong is the team's [ __ ] up so vessel ignored it all those years ago I don't think Norris is going to give this up I don't think Norris is going to give this up I think Norris is going to sit there and go you should make better decisions simple as I point this straight back at the team so um yes Hamilton and theen so let's get back to the racing any who uh still eight laps left that gap's increasing n's not going to do anything about this until the last lap so we'll see um as Hamilton ven um as Hamilton left ven plenty of room on the outside and they went very very close uh last time around into turn two so here we go how can Hamilton do this time will he defend will he be able to defend from Max ven who's on oh he's gone for a lunge ven he's gone for a very late lunge and Max mappen has brought out a yellow flag DRS has been disabled was there contact between Alex albor who was the overtaking car it was a very late move there by Max V stappen I think he went off the circuit and the yellow flag has been swiftly removed as Max is going slow through turn three and Charles de Clair has got past Max and I think Max has damage Max has damage he's gone for a late overtaking move aggressive a frustrated Max today down into turn one and he I think has caught Alex albon he's lost a position he's lost a position to Alex elbon uh to chy Charles declair he's now falling into the clutches of Carlos SS I don't know if that's just purely because he had no grip on his tires because he went too deep but let's have a look here I'm watching it on the TV coverage he Hamilton goes defensive and Max goes very very deep oh he hit Lewis's wheel he hit Lewis's front wheel he went very deep nearly into the barriers and that is why he lost a position to um to the Ferrari of Charles declair it was just a very very wild move for Max it came from very far back locked up massively there was nothing Lewis could do and well Max fappen hit the wheel front wheel of Lewis Hamilton as he went St straight in a he went in a straight line could not control his car and that is why Max has dropped back to P5 and that looks like that Hamilton will secure P3 here today and they're still pleading McLaren is still pleading with Lando so now now Lando's now Lando's providing Hy pathetical over the radio this is pathetic from McLaren this is pathetic this is what a race I love F1 I love F1 never seen some much controversies ababi yeah look Max hasn't said anything over the radio by the way he's just he's just very grumpy at the moment Max he's not in he's in an underperforming car and know it was that I'll tell you what how neither of them have not got any damage I don't know [Music] but yeah Max is um coming so so hot there locked up the whole left side of his car and um yeah very very close there and then Le just said I didn't move the steering how I don't know how they're both still on the circuit wait until you see the images of it guys um flashbacks to kind of like Monza but um yeah Max and Max said he moved under break him and Ma Max Max City moved on the breaking and um his engineer GP just came on and just said we're not going to get into a radio fight with other teams Max just just keep driving oh dear it's all getting Fey out there at the hungara ring today with six laps remaining guys um it's like McLaren in a race of their own good to see what spp come on Stu with over another aggressive move luckily didn't take anyone out this time yeah I mean that could have ended a lot worse as sergeant in the pits in 19th the last of the runners guys the last of the runners well I'll tell you what there's been a lot of controversy thus far I I'm kind of losing track of where everyone is out on circuit let's have a rundown with six laps remaining we're about to approach five laps remaining if you oh we're nearly at 28,000 thank you guys if I finish this rundown on this grid if we can get to 28,000 Subs that' be much appreciated 30 more at the top right hand of your screen that'd be amazing but here we go so Landon Norris is in P1 after an absolute balls up by McLaren they have intentionally swapped their drivers U by covering off a non-existent Lewis Hamilton really in this race um for the win and yeah Lando Norris um is in P1 from Oscar piash that Gap is not getting any smaller they are pleading they are praying over the radio for Lando Norris to swap positions with with pastri we'll see if he does at the end of this race but it doesn't seem like he is going to Hamilton in P3 surviving the onslaught of Max V stappen not once but a few times throughout this race in the middle of the race and towards the end here looks like he secured a P3 um as Charles declair hasn't been able to um catch Lewis Hamilton and overtake him on much on fresher medium compound tires Max withen of course we just discussed very lucky to still be in this race a very grumpy Max today I'm really intrigued to see how his post race interviews they're going to be golden today so clippable uh tuning for those on social media afterwards uh because he is not a happy bunny in P5 Carlos s in P6 very lonely race for him Sergio Perez a good recovery in P9 but really more so done with the strategy of the team more so than his actual driving out there on circuit um Russell same thing more pleading from McLaren hang on to win a championship right okay so this is the update it's the latest play McLaren just went to win a championship you're not going to do it by yourself you're going to need the team team you're going to need Oscar and this is not how you win a championship oh they are throwing everything everything at him they are throwing everything oh God pastri just went and Oscar pastri sounds so dejected over the radio he just went the longer he leaves this the longer we leave this the riskier it gets so oh that gap's just come down to 5 and 1 half seconds guys that 6 seconds a second ago so keep an eye on that interval between Norris and piastri but yes um Russell in p8 sonoda good result for him he's done the One Stop he's the only driver out there doing the one stop as it stands but he is being chased down by stroll and by Alonzo so we'll see if he can hold on with four laps remaining Yuki sonoda um Ricardo in p12 bit shafted over strategy today um bit of a poor start but strategy hasn't been too good for him uh by the RB team hulberg 13th albor 14th Madison 15th bot 16th Joe 17th Sergeant 18th and Aon after just making another pit stop there in 19th and gazley has retired oh Lando slowing Lando is slowing he's letting him through unbelievable he's done it with three laps remaining he's almost gone to a crawl and Lando has let pastri by now will Lando fight for this win this could get nasty this could get n nasty wow that one more play from McLaren and they and he's done it but Lando has done it sneakingly three laps remaining he has an opportunity to still win this race we are going to see the two McLaren drivers fight this out surely in the remainder of this race three laps remaining I can't believe he's done it I can't believe he's done it he's let piastri back past he's I'm just watching the TV coverage and he went so slow he just went so slow unbelievable I can't believe it I can't believe it but Lando is still within the DRS he has had Pace over piastri we this is going to be a very interesting cool down room Norris just said you don't need to say anything but here we go is land are going to come back at him he's got a DRS eight temps back behind his teammate there's two laps remaining Oscar pastri who has led this race from start to finish pretty much until of course that last that last um that that last stin this is crazy oh what am I seeing lost respect from McLaren it's just this their balls up Lando is going to be fuming with them but then piastri would also be fuming with them and it's just oh well there's two laps remaining let's see if Lando can have a go at piastri um I'm surprised he did it so easily um and he might have a might have done like a Lewis Hamilton on 4.6 seconds ahead of the clear now the stappen still very fortunate to be within this race he is in P5 sign sixth PR in seventh but it's all about this front to of piastri and Norris Norris has just let him by after telling after pleading down on their knees begging Lando Norris to let piastri through and get them out of a [ __ ] up of a decision with their strategies McLaren of regardless this should all be about pastri winning this race today it should all be about the dominance of McLaren and how they've covered off the Red Bull of Max ven but instead all we're going to be be talking about is this strategy called by the McLarens to put themselves in this such ridiculous FAL situation um so sorry for the uh lag that's occurring right now guys apologies um as it stands but yeah big thank you 20 over 28,000 Subs much appreciated it's on the final lap and it does seem like that Lando Norris has resigned himself to P2 I thought he might have an opportunity at coming back at Oscar piastri after after that but he has left Oscar piastri to the win of this race um so as he's in the dirty air but oscap piastri In fairness has done nothing wrong today he has led from turn one he managed the tires beautifully a weakness of his that needed improving and he had done that until McLaren farly unacceptably allowed Lando Norris to undercut piastri didn't give him the priority of the decision Lan Norris was being begged pleaded by the McLaren team to let Oscar pastri and get them out of their [ __ ] up as Oscar piastri comes by the last Corner apologies for the lag and he has won the Hungarian Grand Prix for the first time why at the end has this gone wrong I apologize but Oscar piastri oh no what's happened here I've lost all data right at the end no no what's going on we'll albon 14th Magnuson 15th Bas 16th Sergeant 17th Aon 18th and Joe 19th with gazley a reti but wow guys welld deserved for Oscar pastre the first Australian winner since Daniel Ricardo left Red Bull a good few years ago and well it was rightfully deserved Lando Norris is in no mood to celebrate you can see nether is Max for stappen both getting to park f as quick as possible you can see there but the right result ended but we will be we will not be sitting here talking about McLaren sorry about past's win unfortunately we'll be talking about McLaren and how they balls that up for them but a great drive for piastri so calm over the radio piastri is but it's kind of a bit of sweet moment because of how it how it how it played out he's actually apologizing for saying how I've made the swap played Team game in the future team will more likely helping the situation yeah I know look it's it goes over to the team we'll hit we'll see what the call obviously they have their interviews first we'll see what the coold down room is like I imagine it's not going to be um very happy between both drivers of course LS Hamilton will be in there a great drive from Lewis um let's have a look at who the well 441 votes pastry 39% Hamilton 30% Lando 26 and the CLA 5% um is someone get a 5sec pen I don't think so uh I don't know I don't know um it'll be a subdued Podium Kevin yeah I think so I think so stamp and K with ham I don't think they'll give a 5-second penalty for it I think they'll just call it a racing incident but is that 200 podiums for L now interesting love both Lando and Oscar but McLaren definitely create this of course I did yeah they're the one they put themselves in this situation and I get what Lando was doing and I do think I think Max wouldn't have given that back up I so MTI 21 works at McLaren not a Red Bull he basically still W on mer he did everything right bar McLaren strategy I agree yeah no I agree I think look we've been questioning pastry's time management that's where he's been poor and today he was perfect now look would would he have managed that last stint and covered off Lando we don't know we don't know because we were removed of that ever being occurred but I think look considering we've seen Oscar completely batter his tires in the early stages of races before um he did very well today in that first and second stint and then the last stint well like you got to think of the mental he did lose time to land though but you got to think of the mentality of it the mental side of it as well he was probably thinking what the hell's going on like maybe not driving to his as good as he was throughout the the previous uh like 50 laps or whatever so yeah mlar need to get their [ __ ] together this is free racing yeah I agree I agree feel like Oscar is going to feel like the win was slightly forced but he deserves it regardless and I think that's why his celebrations are quite subdued imag and yeah I agree with that he was in shock f a chance to compete for the championship so by giving up that place he lost points to Max oh yeah yeah I mean look if you're Lando I think if you Orlando you have to go this is it isn't it like you say like all all well Champions are cut throat but there was an opportunity for him to really gain some points and Max there today after he finished fifth so if he still thinks there's a championship fight in his hands but then ultimately Lando's the one who's put himself in this initial position anyway because he had a poor start again five times now Lando has been on pole position for a Sprint or a full race weekend and he has not led by the end of the first lap right that's just that's his mistake Oscar had a better start Max had a better start right commentator is super super biased am I finishing 39 seconds behind the lead um H he shouldn't be finishing 16 seconds behind signs and he only got up to Pete 7even because of strategy not because of pure pace of him making great overtakes out on circuit that was strategy that got him further up uh there same with George Russell as well so they both balls up qualifying and his seat is still under threat uh Daniel Ricardo today if you're looking at Daniel Ricardo's performance he got shafted by strategy today as well RB pitted him way too early way too early today um whereas Yuki they left him out on the One Stop Yuki I believe is the only driver yes Yuki was the only only driver to do a one stop today you can see that there look only driver to pick once and it worked out well for him and and he finished ninth they pitted Danny off the so off the mediums his first stint Daniel Ricardo he came off the mediums after seven laps that is ridiculous how quickly they pulled him into the pits unbelievably poor strategy called by RB um and yeah that meant that he had to pit sooner after his uh next pit stop his second Pit Stop so thanks man uh what happened to Logan to start I don't know what happened to Logan at start so L just BL the T did he I didn't listen to it I wasn't the is a team's fault yeah but uh don't know if I'll be don't know if I'll be whining about G being given the place back as time goes on you won't be proud say about Lewis's the overtake with Max on Lewis what the incident here we go they're battle see it oh no l doing all the Talking Oscar's very quiet Lando's quite quiet is the race over yeah it's over did F do something wrong in this race uh no no Ferrari did very well in this race they just not up to Pace they've lost a lot of pace on McLaren and and Red Bull again um Charles just Charles could have ended up on the podium he just couldn't make those mediums work and get past Lewis um so yeah Lewis did very well on the hards and defended defended well from lir and from Max here we go it's the incident they're watching it now Oscar was like oh when he just saw Max his um overtake not too much discussion between the drivers in the cool down room so little bit of discussion between Oscar and Lando doesn't seem to be any animosity ultimately look the drivers haven't done anything wrong it's the team so um we were slow LM on yeah n for land give the position Oscar had fresh tires and couldn't catch that's on him in my opinion um well the thing is is that Oscar's been put back out into I mean he deals he's had had to deal with traffic a bit different um when you're in the lead and you got to think of the mental aspect as well like your team has just given up the lead to the driver you covered off all race so for you then to sit there and go I've now got to catch him and there's probably the discussions going on as well with the engineer and the mentality of it you're trying to process what's happening you're probably not sounds crazy to think but you're probably not you're probably just going for the Motions out on circuit and not necessarily driving to your full uh capacity so who knows if I think pastri probably would have covered off Lando at the end um in that last in he had done throughout the whole race so yeah we'll we'll we will we'll never know though we'll never know so um do I think Hamilton has made a mistake moving to Ferrari uh no no we've mentioned this before Look Ferrari will improve um we've still got the second half of the season to come ahead of us and he's not thinking so much about next year he's thinking about the new RS and also Lewis is faulty this year at the end start of next year he he's only got a few more years left in he's he's only got a few more years left so when he signed that Ferrari contract Mercedes were not in a good place so you're better off going to Ferrari ending your career with Ferrari you've driven the three greatest teams or historic teams not greatest historic teams in F1 McLaren Mercedes and now Ferrari and what a way to end his career even if he doesn't win a championship if he wins races you'd think to suspect he will he's won races with with uh multiple teams um and there's very few drivers that can say they've done that so um yeah and I think we all expect it some point Ferrari will catch up so uh Max went asked the same don't ever ask me to do that again that's why Max is a multiple World drivers championship in Lando won't be uh true there's true but we know that there was history with Max and Sergio for that and that was because um we know that Perez basically calls the red flag didn't he in Monaco so that went further back to the season all the Telemetry pointed to the fact of that Sergio um spun it on purpose brought out the red flag and um yeah got away of it and eventually won that race didn't he um so yeah that's that's the reason why he did that I was like no no no no no no no I'm not giving it back because of what he did earlier on in the season I've told you this uh but as this time around I mean yeah should Lando held onto the position I think he was entitled to he's not the one who's put himself in that position the team did so and he has pulled out the Gap as we said thanks Angus the commentator stuffy just call me stuffy Oscar gets a miracle with Lando ahead by 5c with two laps to go I look I don't think it's a miracle I think I think prry deserved that win for 75% of that race he did everything that was asked of him and then the team flipped that race on its head unnecessarily so um yeah so uh predictions I think 's new teammate would be what har uh it's pretty much EST KN on EST knon I think that's kind of like the the worst kept secret in F1 do I think there's enough time for L to catch Max now uh no I still don't think there is I think Max is he needs dnfs Max needs to have dnfs still and Lando needs to win the races Lando finishing second or Max finishing fifth every race and Lando finishing first or second still would be enough between now and end of the season I don't think so why the G have to retire his car I don't know um he's really having issues gazley um not of his own doing just because of Alpine Alpine are having Shockers with their with their um reliability at the moment so this going to be the beginning of a pastri winning streak he has the same potential for winning as Lando yeah I highly rate pastri yeah highly do I can now say I can now say I've crashed in IR Racing with an F1 race winner and an F2 race winner in Antonelli as well although Antonelli's Antonelli was his his fault and and piastri was his fault as well they crashed into me not the other way around uh right let's end driver of the day so 41% is uh we'll run but we'll do we'll do rating of the race in a second R ratings of the race so uh 40% cestry 26 equally for Hamilton and Lando only 5% for the CLA intriguing well let's run the um how do you rate this race race out of 10 uh I don't think anyone's going to rate rate this one to two so I'm going to do 3 to four 5 to six 7 to 8 uh 9 to 10 there we go let me know what you think what do you race this what do you rate this race out of 10 U do I think Rick's still at risk of losing his he oh he's not at risk of losing it I think he's going to be promoted to Perez uh to Red Bull unless you mean do you think Perez is still at risk um why all against Max I'm not against Max just discussing whether he could be caught in the championship which I don't think he can I think he's got too much of an advantage um and he and Max would have finished P3 today bear any mind don't forget that Max was in P if it wasn't for his incident with Lewis which he didn't really need I mean did he need to do it I mean he was struck to overtake Lewis so maybe he had he felt he needed to go for something a bit more um bit more out there with a with a late send um which we have seen overtakes done like that into turn one before it kind of lends itself to those moves uh into turn one but yeah he he was on for P3 that would have been only one position behind Lando so yeah he's definitely going to win the I think he's going to win the championship yeah really bad race strategy for botas lost four positions ooh yeah yeah there's a few poor strategies out there today Nico hulkenberg well I don't know what happened with Hulen I think he had um I think he had issues at the start of the race um I mean sonod you don't going be say one of the best strategies is Yuki Yuki to be in P9 wow like one stop that is a bold call um considering what they did to Daniel Ricardo hitted him after seven laps is is disgraceful to be honest I can't believe they did that to him complet completely ruined his race Perez and Russell as soon as they got a bit of clean air with the pace of their car once guys ped ahead of them they did the overcut they didn't do anything special out there today it was a lonely race for them strategy got them back up into the points positions not necessarily because of their driving so uh what is to be evaluated by Stewart what for Max with stappen it's just a racing racing incident in my opinion I think it's just a racing incident um I mean Max is at fault for it because he's the one who's locked up um and he's gone for the move he's locked up Lewis is turning into the Apex Max can't turn when you lock up the wheels you can turn the wheel as much as you like but the car's going to go straight forward um I'm racing incident well no actually I think they've punished he's gone for Max has gone for a legit yeah I mean Max has gone for a legitimate overtaking move however he's just he's locked up and he's been fortunate but both drivers have got away of um with that incident I don't think it warrants because it wasn't a dangerous move like it didn't come from so far back I I don't we want to see racing we want to see attempted overtakes and that was probably one of the least aggressive moves I've seen from Max in that regard um but he couldn't make it stick and he locked up and it was fortunate that they didn't end up uh crashing and none of them have damage but um yeah I mean he is at fault but I don't think it deserves a penalty so apparently when Max has any contact of anyone or makes any mistake he's instantly considered oh old aggressive immature Max when it was just racing well this time I think that was just racing yeah Austria we've had this discussion not to go overall ground but that was too much in my opinion that was crossing the line in regards to moving under breaking um but yeah this one was an was a genuine attempt at an overtake an aggressive one which we've seen drivers make stick before but yeah he locked up he didn't make it he didn't make it stick so Kaka thank you for the 21 months buddy thanks for becoming still maintaining being part of our piit crew so big thank you uh Red Bull needs a c dnf a couple of races well yeah that's the only way for Norris to be back in the championship so yeah but so mombo so this is the same with Lando Norris a dive bomb is not a frown upon move in F1 it is legitimate overtaking move in F1 I don't know why people get so get their backup so much about dive bombs like it's legitimate overtaking move it's a risky one because you need to be able to be controlled under the brakes you need to ensure that um the the driver you're you're competing against is is going to be aware that you're there and not turn into you but it's a legit it's a legitimate overtaking move and I don't know why it's so frowned upon um Lewis moved under breaking is uh Lewis didn't move under well I need to see he's on board but from what I saw from the outside Lewis turned into the corner and he's entitled to turn into the corner when it he was turning into the Apex and Max locked up like way before Max locked up way before he he hit hit Lewis so um Lewis was continuing to turn the car into the Apex and Max just couldn't turn the car when he locked up and went straight into him so um yeah um who win the next race uh Spar next McLaren look good again I think we're going to see this TR I I don't think Mercedes and Ferrari are close enough I think they need specific trap conditions and like increment weather for them to be performing well uh for the win so I don't think we're going to I mean maybe we'll get that a spar Spar can genuinely be either wet or very hot and I don't think it's going to be I mean if it's wet then Mercedes have an opportunity um but in dry conditions it's going to be between Max and the two McLaren again so w McLaren say to Lando if he finishes second less than seven points behind Max I know I know die bombs are good unless you're doing it during in the cool down lap Yuki he learned from that he learned from it um it's okay only when it's safe to dive yeah which L was safe to dive and um Maxis was also kind of safe to dive I mean as I said we've seen so many of that sort of move and and dive bomb and late on the breaks down into turn one before um however the reason why Max was at fault there is because he wasn't able to hold the brakes he locked up so if he didn't lock up um he would have been probably on the rear of Lewis's car which would have entitled him to some sort of room I think I really get confused with the racing rules now these days um but yeah he didn't so that's why he went straight into him because if you watch the trajectory he just went straight because he couldn't he was out of control of the C so Sher did worse than Max he was V at times yeah he was Fon Daniel wearing a Red Bull suit similar to the Oracle ones instead of using cash at one for the Goodwood Festival uh well it would be because it was his wasn't he's it was his car so he's still he's technically contracted to RB but Red Bull as well so uh for some like promotional things uh let's agree the second penalty what penalty I hope no Raina kind of want to have a dry and fast race dive bomb as long as you remain under control well that's yeah that's the Crux of it isn't it Conor yeah so Max doing too much on he was up till 3:00 a.m. last night wasn't he uh in the spa 24 hours I assume they won it um a red line w to um yeah but Alex was there as well so that was some dangerous driving yeah I mean I need to watch it back I know Lewis moved around him then kind of moved left and then they broke and then he turned into the Apex and match just went for the send because the thing is with Max as well he wasn't a happy bunny today his post race interviews are going to be Gold Dust they're going to be so fun to watch cuz he's not going to he's not a happy bunny whatsoever uh he was struggling to overtake anyone today um he struggled to overtake Lewis a number of times through turn two the lap prior to that as well he felt like Lewis sque I mean Lewis did squeeze him but he left him a cars width he didn't think Lewis left him a cars width through turn two uh so I think that's why he made the send down into turn one because he just couldn't get past Lewis uh all race through turn two so Perez is surely gone by the summer break I agree I agree uh Lando was the fastest driver overall P went off track three times Lando should have won and ignored team orders uh well let's have a check uh actually piastri went off track once I've got the track limits here so don't lie to me guys don't lie to me um he only went off track once so um Oscar earned the lead and had to give it Lando when Lando whed but he should have it that they were fighting that mistake they were writing that mistake yeah it was it was McLaren's mistake to put them in that I just so let's touch on it again McLaren what are they doing what the [ __ ] were they doing I mean like oh hang on apparently Max has got to go see the stewards over his move with with uh with Lewis he did go in too quick he did go in too quick locked up is it worth a penalty though I don't know I don't think they'll give him a penalty because they all got through it but did I tell you Scott well only just Emily only just you forgot everything that happened in between the first corner and the last lap particularly the last 25% of the race good cister we'll see we'll see um I think it's good for McLaren really Lando will be more M to win now yeah look right let's assess Lando's race because ultimately Lando balls up his start again again five times now he's been on pole position Sprint or full race and he hasn't led by the end of lap one to make it even worse it was his teammate who got ahead of him and he's bsing up the starts he's bottling the starts and he should have been in control of that race today but he wasn't he wasn't and Oscar piastri had the better Pace throughout this whole race other than the last in where obviously things were all up in the air in regards to what the team had just done I don't hold anything against I'm not judging past's Pace in that last in too harshly because is there's a difference in mentality there God knows what's going on through pastry's head uh in between his ears in that last in um so yeah always in the second phase of acceleration yeah he boxs down didn't he the new lir ooh harsh words um you hope ham gets to kick the position uh yeah Hamilton won't be losing the position Buzz um it's Max who's going to see the stewards I don't think Lewis is so I don't think they're deeming um Lewis to be moving under Breakin it's um it's Max it's whether or not Max was he under control of the car was it deemed to be dangerous driving that's what they'll be deeming it as so um oh make one defensive move so this is the difference between what Max did in Austria compared to what Lewis has done here so Lewis moves round albor moves straight and then when he's breaking he points his car in a direction now Max is also when you see it from behind Max is also straight in line with Lewis he doesn't lock up because Lewis is jined in the breaking Zone you're allowed one defensive maneuver so Lewis is is able to angle his car in whichever direction he likes as long as that is the one move that he makes if he then while under break in after deciding that initial Direction he wants to point his car in moves it left or moves it right then he is deemed to be at fault however the only only time he then started to turn the wheel was because he was turning in at the peak of at the point of the Apex cuz there becomes a point in every corner where you then have to turn the wheel more to reach the Apex and um it was it that was obviously what happened when they made contacts so that that I'm just I'm just yeah I'm just describing why that's different whereas Max when he was fighting Lando um was he was reacting to Lando's late moves and Jin in the breaking Zone which is is just dangerous and no drop and I don't care if it's Lewis I don't care if it's I mean if Lewis had done that I'd be sitting again that's naughty you shouldn't be doing it and yeah he deserves a penalty for it but he he didn't do that any driver that does that is a no no like just don't [ __ ] move under breaking you know don't do that jinking [ __ ] McLaren have two Champion winning drivers if they could sort out team team tactics yeah well at this is just another example of them having to improve because they've put them I mean honestly guys go and check the highlights go and check go and check social media and just listen someone will put together a compilation no doubt of the pleading over the radio from Lando's engineer it was a it was just pathetic it was just pathetic they were praying they were pleading to it's literally like they were on their hands and knees begging to him begging and um he event EV did it and he came back with some very good arguments Lando I can't I said in the Stream at the time the watch I can't I can't deny it I can't deny Lando's position it's very harsh on pastri wasn't having to go at Lando having a go at the team because the team have put both drivers in this position and it's just yeah go and check it out it's ridiculous um racing racing team orders ruin it yeah but the team ERS the team strategy ruined it in the first place Belgium will decide who gets the Red Bull seat but I think neither SoDo nor Ricardo will help the team much more oh I disagree I think sonoda or Ricardo or Liam Lawson will be a better Improvement than Perez in that second SE so uh two GPS based Communications are [Music] proof what um um yeah no georan uh no what's everyone got Caden for no that move was prior to the corner turnning though yeah me and cayen all good um yes it's not so much the name it was just what they were posting it's just not neither here or there for this Channel or for this stream you know um anyway if L turned in any earlier it would have been wraps for both their races yeah yeah Norris awful starts of races botched it yeah he did yeah that's exactly what we're saying like ultimately Lando was the quickest driver all weekend um he was comfortable over piastri and then of course it was very close in qualifying less than a tenth between them again a couple of hundreds of a second um but then yeah when it comes to the pressure L's not coping with the pressure very well is he those race starts the most pressured part probably of an F1 race he's he's falling down on at the moment so it needs to improve needs to improve Max is the only real Champion out there Max Scher Hamilton would NE have never listened to those team orders well Lewis has done before however he's never done it for a race win so bot had this very circuit a few like good few years ago he gave botas the position back didn't he because he couldn't overtake vetto I think it was or the Ferrari at the time Ren and I think it was he was trying to chase down but he's never been in a position for a race win to do that and I know would L done that in a race win scenario maybe not sure not sure um looking forward to spar first race go to oh nice one man hopefully it's dry for you cuz the last few Spar races have been wet and not nice experiences from what I've seen so um top no commentary as always thanks Carl thanks got it yeah the me just talking through each team and kind of relaying the same thing but a lot of people just relay you know get a lot of respect for L though to actually give the win back to pastri though I don't think pastri would like his first in no he obviously you could tell pastri was a bit it was almost like a bit of sweet moment like he knew he deserved to win it but he wasn't as cheerful over the radio as if he'd won that outright so but leis is a Class Act he would I I think he would I think he would but when it's for a race win it's very different for a Podium position like it's a Podium it's not the win is it but for a race win that's different this week's highlight should be 20 minutes long I think people criticize L for not being selfish are shortsighted having to fight pastre would be disastrous for Lando now we see more McLaren onews yeah well look there's I'd like to be in their debrief I'd like to be a flying a w in their debrief that's for sure uh tell GRE now feeling pressure he was seemed off during interviews and podiums as he seems happy but also disappointed also there has been times been fake smiling yeah yeah I mean look ultimately he needs to sit there L and go look I I did I deserve to win that race for the majority of it no I balls up the start I couldn't stay with the pace of my teammate he was doing a much better job than me throughout um and I got given a fortunate undercut because my teammate my team ballsed up the strategy um now y pulled we that last stint but he didn't deserve to be there in the first place um because he could like he's his team put in there in that position so think they just up the relationship between the more trust yeah we'll see we'll see glad to see my commentary is not affected by Charles needed that for his confidence yeah it was a good drive by Charles that's why I put him in there as driver of the day because I think he deserved um at least a vote I think Charles did a very good job today um had a good start and if he got past Lewis on those medium tires um on the hards we know how clean air is essential here um he um yeah he he could have potentially maybe got third place who knows uh so yeah an outside chance of third place so yeah good result for Charles good good result But ultimately look Mercedes finished 15 seconds behind the McLaren um Charles declair was was further back than that as uh was like 18 seconds 19 seconds so it was a dominating performance here this weekend by McLaren I don't think teams should have favorite drivers whoever is in a higher place in the race should be favored for that race yeah so I mean I don't think particularly there was favoritism today of Lando because they did it to cover off Lewis however that was just such a poor decision because I don't think Lewis was ever at risk of overtaking Lando they wasn't losing enough time in that middle stint to Lewis and he still would have come out ahead even if they ped him a lap later so let's say rolls reversed you you brought Lando in you brought pastri in when Lando was brought in and then you bring Lando in the next lap he still would have come out ahead of he still would have come out ahead of of Lewis so I they unnecessarily put themselves in that all four position today and they're so fortunate they've got Lando who um begrudgingly gave it back to them he he if there was maybe only like five laps left he might not given it back but the fact of it there was still like 20 laps left they had a lot of time to plead with him over the radio it's probably hardly for Lando purely because he should have won in Spain Austria and Silverstone uh if he won any of them he would have given the place much sooner yeah I think so yeah um hope after this to celebrate the teams are even closer yeah well look regardless we've still got two good drivers in McLaren who are going to be going at it we know Max is going to be there in that red bull as well um and hopefully yeah one of the Mercedes or the fer ferari can Buck their ideas up and make that a free team fight but we've still got three drivers at the moment who we kind of expect to be up there finding for wins which is great so and then if the conditions are right we'll get a Silverstone with Mercedes um we might get an odd Ferrari win or something so make I've done a poll for the second seat of Red Bull I have done um let's so actually I didn't even talk about my rating for the race so let's uh let's end the poll 490 votes and um 40% of you think seven out of eight uh 7 to eight out of 10 32% say 9 out of 10 for the race 5 to 6 um is 14% And 3 to 4 is 12% I personally would give this race a I would probably give it a 7 and 1 half out of 10 I think just for the racing I think there was some good uh there was some good battles out there um but it wasn't probably the best Hungary race that we've had in recent years um so I think I'd probably give it 7 and a half out of 10 maybe an eight because I I'm judging it mainly on racing not necessarily the drama if you add the drama it probably bumps up to an eight but I think a 7 and 1 half out of 10 purely just for racing cuz cuz we had some moments we had some good um we had Max trying to get past Le some good defenses some good attacks but it wasn't a it wasn't the Hungary race that we've seen in the past so show a good race as well been on good form yeah he picked up a point today didn't he so um yeah can't can't deny that stw's been doing quite well he's had a bit of an uptick in form uh was really they could have picked piastri on the lap right after it felt like they actually wanted Norris to undercut and win but then changed their mind yeah it did seem it was a bit it was odd kayen now you mention it yeah because everyone knew the whole race the undercut was powerful you get into clean air you're you're like a half a second lap quicker especially when you get into uh on fresh new tires and even when he got caught behind sign it was like well he's he's still gone it was only like the last half of a lap that he got caught behind signs um and I was like why do you leave piastri out there two laps longer rather than I I don't see what he was I don't see what McLaren would going to gain from keeping piastri out there longer because you're just going to give trap position to the driver who's been second all race and then um there wasn't there wasn't enough of a tire Del delter that we saw throughout the race for um especially when they went onto the same tire for unless it was like 10 laps or so to get past them and he would have lost enough time anyway so by the time he then would have caught up to Lando with that Advantage the tires would have been gone you know so I keeping them out for an extra two laps is just unforgivable and yeah and I don't know why they did that so yeah good to see you Lee good to see you thank you buddy thank you well I might even be doing my own F1 race at Hungary this evening um on IR Racing the 100% races obviously my brand new sim Racing Equipment vrs which uh I'm loving last time around we got a P5 I'm looking to improve on that this evening after learning quite a bit about the tires so yeah turn your notifications on for that guys but uh you're sad sad the team didn't celebrate us we I did with Lando it feels too bit sweet I know it is a shame isn't it it is a shame um after 2002 FIA ban team orders uh that would affect the result of races 2011 the ban was removed we need to get it back first is 25 points second is 18 yeah but anyway guys that is it for the
