Steelers' punter Pressley Harvin III on relationship with Corliss Waitman and fighting adversity

Pressley Harvin III on relationship with Corliss Waitman honestly i wouldn't have any i wouldn't have wanted anyone else to do it uh corliss is very respected for me and you know i have mad respect for him and you know come him coming in and stepping in you know i almost put like a smile on my face i was a little bit worried about you know being able to continue to have a hat and continue to be on a team but you know as an african-american punter sometimes you kind of try to put yourself aside to you know sometimes i guess you could say to let someone else shine i'm not saying that i didn't Pressley Harvin III on fighting adversity want him to but if anyone was coming in for me i wanted him to do the best they could for the team not even an aspect of just for me but you know i think the biggest thing during those weeks was the fact that you know i appreciate coach tomlin and the rooney family and everyone to continue to believe in me because it was it was a tough time um i've never had that much adversity put on me at once i'm not sure if you guys know or not but uh the saturday night before the baltimore game my grandma passed as well which was two weeks right after my dad Pressley Harvin III on his grandma passing um and you know we we had a decision that had to be made sunday morning but you know i was completely motivated and i wanted to go out there and you know just show the world that you know everyone goes through adversity but how to try to fight through it um and that was the biggest thing for me and that's the biggest thing that i learned this year was any adversity can happen at any time and the biggest thing that you have to do is keep god first and you know pray about it and find what works best for you and getting your rhythm that helps you out to try to get through those things and that's what i was able to do in the last part of the season
