Four Corners Session 42

welcome to session 42 of the Four Corners um very excited to be here today uh we're going to be down Miller for just a little while and then he should be here at some point in time um but we're going to go ahead and get started and kick this off since Miller had recap Duty I'm going to recap for him and we'll kick that can down the road uh last session the Four Corners started their day with a bit of timey wiy stuff as they headed from shop to shop The Ring Of Truth to get some armor back to Olivers to uh inscribe some spells on a sword and then back to the library where they picked up where they left off the session before um they went over to the spa had themselves a good time a couple of pranks were played some people were upset about some things but people talked through some things we got through it in the end uh before they headed off to Royal ring where they were escorted to meet um with uh Lord Marcus and they promptly went in two separate directions to find some information from the help or anyone else that could maybe give them some information uh Team kitchen went and found a lovely Miss Beth had a fantastic conversation learned a lot about uh the gossip going on at the castle with the exterior wall and that it may have already the funds may have already been allocated and it was good but for some reason it wasn't good um and then team hallway decided [ __ ] it we're going straight to the source then they went and asked to find Madame Eve and so they did um having a conversation with Eve um paining to be emissaries from the kingdom of area and walked the hallway with her to go meet with Lord Marcus again where they handed off some soup that Miss Beth had given them and then Eve entered the room alone there did not appear to be anyone else inside the room besides Eve and Lord Marcus at which point in time the door shut very muffled conversation was barely heard and then Lord Marcus raises his voice which is audible but not distinguishable through the door and that is where we will pick up session 42 let's get rolling okay would you all like to do in this moment tya was right up next to the door trying to listen so I just heard him raise his voice but nothing like nothing that um I believe you made a perception check which was relatively High um so it's weird you can hear the voice go up but it is utterly intelligible any like you can hear the noise but you can't hear words in any way shape form or fashion it's surprising it's almost magical this is some magic [ __ ] I cast uh I'll cast detect evil and good no okay I need you to read this spell for me please for the duration you know if there is an aberration Celestial Elemental Fay fiend or Undead within 30 ft of you as well as where the creature is located similarly you know if there is a place or object within 30 ft of you that has been magically consecrated or desecrated it can penetrate most barriers but is blocked by one foot of stone one inch of common metal a thin sheet of lead or 3T of wood or dirt hey give me just one moment please as I need to look into something no worries what is the duration on that spell for my own knowledge it's concentration it's up to 10 minutes and it's within 30 ft of me and if we're all at the door okay that is good to know um job at this time don't feel anything um yeah at this time you don't feel anything I don't think anything malevolent in there currently but is worrying knowing what's going on do we still hear voices can I still hear a conversation or is it silent what's going like what can I hear um so I mean you can hear uh Marcus seemed to have raised his voice momentarily and it is back to normal level of conversation which you can kind of hear but once again is very mumbled and unintelligible through the door do you think we should get the guards I mean we don't really have a reason she's supposed to be in there well it sounds really heated does it not but things can get heated with politics you should know that I uh look I think I think Madam death is still in there let her do a Recon pick things up read the person whatever may happen we can hang out here and just listen ten you stay on it if I hear anything concerning I'm opening the door 100% I'll keep my spell up as well if it's not blocked I don't know if it is I don't know if it is or not but I didn't feel anything before right I'm just I'm just listening then a minute goes by two minutes goes by Third minute goes by we still hear things through the door hearing things conversation is happening um it's not as heated as it was before um right after that about third or fourth minut minute um the door opens oh good I'm going to jump back yeah if we hear step into the door we'll kind of back off okay I'll give you guys that I'll give you that just CU her I I think her perception check was insanely High um um the door opens ivante stands on the other side of the door excuse me adventurous I believe you all have um reason to meet with Lord Marcus um I will take my leave um but good luck to you she kind of steps out the door and starts to walk away Tenya I need you to make a perception check now anything for me only t no okay no Ping's going off on the spell um it is 17 so not my best it's when there're 17 or the slightest of seconds I mean you're not even quite certain you saw it your hands look wrong then they look normal again you're not quite positive you saw something right h as she walks by can I try and brush her hand make it look like an accident and see if I feel anything weird or different yeah go for it uh you trying to do this discreetly well make it look like an accident like I'm not trying to just like then make a slight of hand check or a acrobatics check uh no or a performance check slight of hand or performance take a pick not performance uh sh um six total um the the rest of you watches she has Tena like trips but in the way that like when you watch a Tik Tok and they're supposed to trip for something they trip and she kind of brushes into uh Madame Eve um nothing feels different irregular I'm sorry it feels like a very soft silky dress and skin I'm I'm sorry I just lost my balance for a second your dress is lovely right all right good luck to you adventurers uh Madame Eve uh will we be seeing you later this evening that depends on what you wish to do this evening however I do have a packed schedule this afternoon with meetings um it could be possible or arranged if you wish to work with Lord Marcus uh for dinner if you desire but uh right now I need to be getting going I am already 30 minutes behind on getting to this meeting short enough I might be able to make the next one only 10 minutes L of course understandable well I hope to see with dinner alive sitting uh at his desk writing something down on some papers um come come come in please uh close the door behind you we walk in can I look for voler you make perception check I also make perception check but not to look for voler I just want to kind of Flor would like look around the room and just nope s's gonna go straight up to Marcus let's let's do the uh perception check first and then we'll we'll figure everything else out a no chance what'd you get ready he didn't roll high enough to beat her her uh I think her bonus beats whatever I rolled my gosh it jumped right out of the thing can you reach that kill thank you try again Keep It In The Box try there we go yay dang it's one of those nights um that's a nine okay I can and I mean nothing really looks out of place or different or off um after the door shuts and someone I assume someone shuts the door I'll shut the I'll shut the door after looking around for and they walk up after the door shuts [Music] um Lord Marcus looks over at the door and makes sure it's closed was that long enough and you see up on the Shelf about 10 or 12 shelves up ter kind of folds down uh a disguise kit that she has that was set to look like a dark spot in the corner she climbs down she goes Marcus I needed another two minutes maybe where that glyph would have taken effect for what have try we'll have to try again in a different way I need more lessons I need to learn how to do this you're very good oh well well thank you but uh I'm happy to show you how pretty easy little kick you got you just need about 10 minutes set it up hey DM yeah quick question just wondering since I still have this up do I get any pings off of those two or okay so run the run down the list for me again aberration Celestial Elemental F fiend or Undead there's Undead nope okay thank you did you um what did you notice anything strange about her appearance while she was here there seemed to be for a moment something different about her hands are you sure I mean I didn't get the best look at it but there was definitely something off I could be wrong maybe I'm crazy but you've been around for more than I there have been these things strange appearance-wise um up to this point in time she appears to be the same person it is just the quick switch in mea and attitude and desire to accomplish a task that we set out with all of V Hearts to accomplish what do you think B did you get a good look at us I mean from my vantage point I couldn't see much but from behind her but she looked normal to me I was hoping I've got quick question by the way uh Bri you are not using your ring ring of major disguise right no no not right now okay I was hoping that the glyph would take take effect here in a little while I've got a a fun little play on the moon beam spell that kind of reveals the reality of things and the way they are um in glyph form but it takes a few minutes to take effect um it's easier if you use the spell itself but I I'm don't think I'm just going to put her in the middle of a moon beam and her not raise suspicion at what's going on I was hoping that would work out but four minutes is just not quite enough time lord Marcus yes how has Madame Eve's conversations or meetings with sir tan picked up at about the same time that her demeanor changed I mean yes it was I for the contract for the the project to move towards meeting with the pillow of Treasury and stigan um they were obviously going to meet more often and I myself have gone to go meet with sir tan and it just appears as though the funds are not there and it doesn't make any sense to me I was under the impression that the funds had already been allocated have you talked the tan men did he say that they had been allocated have you two talked directly I mean previously sir Tegan had said that the funds had been allocated but that was four or five months ago before we were able to get contracts lined up an exact number I mean the cost of the project went up slightly but not so much that I would think that it would be denied or remind me if I'm wrong but didn't the person escorting us say that she changed after talking to Siran am I hearing that incorrectly no I I do believe you're you're correct in that is Siran magically inclined does he have the possibility to sway her AR using I am not aware I am not aware that Siran has any magical abilities he mostly spends his time counting Counting coins balancing ledges the possibility with the increased time that they spend together and her change in demeanor just another route we could take I did kitchen crew did you get anything well there is first off the kitchen staff is wonderful and they all need the race especially Beth she's amazing and she makes great too but they so Beth told me that Martha told Sarah that Sarah told Maggie who overheard that Siran she's like she like wrote it down in her hand she that Siran was confused as to VI um what's the lady's name Eve yeah that's why Eve was upset because like you said he is under the belief that the funding had been allocated and that the price was fine so it may be that you Tour on the same page and see us somewhere else entirely hey quite the crew you have here Vol it is hard to get gossip out of our staff I'm impressed but Miss Beth will probably receive such Rays I have often wondered if this soup was worth everything I get paid annually I would definitely say it is perhaps the two of you this tan man you two may need to have your own conversation if you have not already or perhaps better yet the three of you it seems like someone here is on the wrong page and speaking of pages um you mentioned the ledgers have you been able to look at those together all three of you I mean I have had meetings with sir Tegan since this change in allocation of funds um but he is the pillar of Treasury for reason understanding the funds of a kingdom takes more of a financial mind than I possess and more time to understand than I possess um I am able to shore up defenses allocate soldiers understand defensive positions and the best ways to defend the people but I would not be able to take the time to understand every copper that leaves the kingdom in order to figure out if we have the money for it or not do you know someone who is financially minded that you would trust to look at The Ledger in your stad the reason I say this is that if you have only one person looking over your ledgers it's very easy for them to slip something here or there at their will and I'm of course not accusing accusing him of of this but it does seem like the three of you somehow are not on the same page I think it's fair to say that we are accusing we're among trusted allies correct I would I mean even being even being amongst allies accusing one of the pillars of anything of anything so close to treason is an act of treason itself so let's maybe keep accusations to a minimum and keep Concepts as our primary suspicions we are suspicions there you go that sounds better so my my point being that it wouldn't be entirely bizarre if you were to request another opinion to come in someone that you trust for the three of you together to look over the ledgers to see if you could find way to make this happen at least that's what you could say but really in fact you'd be looking to make sure that there's nothing being put to the side without your [Music] knowledge I mean Siran sorry I mean Siran has assistance um particularly helpful elen female that he keeps by nearby at all times to help P balance and double check his numbers because although he is wicked smart every now and again even he makes a mistake an El female you said yes an elant female but it seems like according to the wonderful staff that you have they seem to think that seran was more than on board and thinking the money was there that it was not a cost thing that the issue coming from her she was still meting it and that was my understanding as well which is why I was so confused and willing to pay for my own coffers in order to find out whether something had changed um but I have met with sir tan since um well now that I think about it it oh sorry there is something off about him of late about him there's something El about him yes um saan has always enjoyed his drink deeply but of late I don't think I have seen him drink as much in fact I have never been in a meeting with Siran where he did not at least have a single whiskey while we were there now that I think about it the last two meetings I have not seen him partake perhaps I have taken the contract out on the wrong person was his Elvin assistant close by at all times I mean she was indeed present is there anyone who you would think would benefit from there not being a wall I realize that there is a cost to building such a thing but I do not see what would be wrong about protecting your people like why would you not what would prevent you what would convince you to not wish for that I do not know it is a concept we have talked about for a long time and it is a large undertaking to be sure but it was always the cost that stopped us and I really thought this year after the festival the success of the festival that we might have enough put aside in the coffers for it it was allocated from the U tide festival for this I cannot think of a single reason anyone would wish that this not go through well do you think if we distracted um Eve long enough during a dinner tonight that you might be able to do successfully what you trying to do earlier I mean I'd have to have access to the room beforehand enough time to disguise myself because if anything is wrong me being seen in that room is not going to go well isn't exactly the biggest fan of me Al very aware of what I am who I am probably would understand why I'm there I'd have to have access to the room with plenty of time to get it set up or the glyph T do you think Miss Beth could help with that you seem to have made good friends with the servants perhaps could make it so that the room is clear long enough for voler to do what she needs we can potentially do it do we know where she would be dining is this an open dining hall or would it be in her private Chambers she said she would see us for dinner did she know she she did she said if we arranged it with Mark if we arranged it with you she would join us for dinner I mean I could of course request that she join me for dinner somewhere um that we would possibly have access to for an amount of time prior however um I would not go so far as denture to ask Miss Beth to do anything coming anywhere near as close to treason as you are discussing um Eve may be someone we believe we may believe that she is someone she is not however she is still a sitting member of my Council and a member of our staff acting in such a way would definitely be considered treeson well the member of your staff after we're really just asking them to keep the room clear for the dining they don't have to know why it needs to be clear I mean I am happy to go with you Vol and make sure that no one sees you as you set up I can be distracting if I want to now dear I don't doubt you at all and I'm not against this plan we just got to do it right what are your thoughts pip Andy you asking that too sorry I said Connor what are your thoughts you had plenty to say earlier well I did until never mind uh the way I see it we have three possible leads the only three that are around that decision making and Siran is Madame Eve the Elven assistant and stigan himself we've seen changes in both Madame Eve and stigan is there anybody here one of the pillars that specifically enjoys having the separation between the Rings and the different levels of society um I mean there is no joy in the separation of the Rings um it is not even meant to separate Society by economy class it is simply insisted as uh measured layers of Defense uh correct however think of it as something that gives way in order for something else to hold um if one wall Falls the other one holds understood however these walls have also created different cast systems in between the walls I've created rings that not anybody from the lower rings can get into without proper clearance we were lucky enough to get in but I don't think us just walking to the door without our bars would allow us in it protects yes but it only protects those that have the clearance to do so is there anybody that would enjoy having that separation maybe divulges a little bit more than others or stays away from certain areas of the town I mean do you yourself travel outside this ring the Inner Circle I have often traveled amongst both the business ring and the outer ring is there anybody that does not I mean it is true there are members that do not head out that often um so Degan himself does not often head outside of the royal ring let loone the um trade ring um and often stays inside of dona's wall um mistress and Madame Dorset both often travel amongst the people to spread word of their mini businesses um volter does your magic would it work on more than one target if we managed to get tan and the his assistant and even the same room for dinner would it work on more than one I mean theoretically it would but you'd be really pushing the power of the glyph I've only got so much magic ability and I understand that one if we suspect more than one then it would it would probably just just lengthen how long it takes to take effect cuz it couldn't focus on one at a time I mean that's a working Theory I'm not quite positive I've never really tried it on more than one usually if I got more than one I just moon beam that [ __ ] fair and you said we can't use moon beam I mean we could but quick reason that is T tan to declaring that someone is I mean that would be treasonous it be walking right up to that di diplomatic line and I got some pull I don't know if I got that much pull and although Marcus here is a pillar even he's got to play inside the rules I don't know if we need another kingdom looking for you either that does bring up a good point sterian princess yes Marcus stands and gives a Curt bow she kind of gives him like a slight nod princesses it is a pleasure I do apologize that I did not take note earlier um that's going on um I am her trusted guard and sparring partner as well good good for you a sparring partner more more of a sparring play thing I say that in just Conor don't take it to heart I'll let you keep talking that's fine uh my actions did the talking I recall all right I got a plan and I think it's good plan so here's what we're going to do MH Marcus won't you to say that after conversation with Princess myera we'll talk about that later um has a desire to have a meeting to see if the asterian government can help now if y'all are comfortable with this I don't want to make y'all lie uh to see if they can help fund the wall something along the line of trade and yada y gobble Duke that government [ __ ] y'all do um if I can get into the room early then you can come and watch um I will attempt to put a g strong enough down I might be tapped for it we'll see we'll invite her to dinner we'll invite sir tan to dinner so we have them both in the room so the conversation can flow freely between the three of you in hopes to resolve this issue four of you including the good princess here your highness um and we just need that conversation to last a long time hopefully I have an idea do share well I would assume that that in order to make sure that you're not caught and such um we would need some sort of distraction yes and uh my lovely companion here she gestures towards Connor uh said before we we've sparred and you know seems eager to spar again I I I think it might be quite entertaining um to give a little show let me understand this rat just so I'm tracking princess yes um your plan is before a possible fight you're going to fight it would just be a good natured uh little and on top of that I think I can princess is going to spar with with her bodyguard her male bodyguard yes I well not exactly male let's be clear on that um I do apologize their non-female bodyguard exactly yes I would say that you get a big look of admiration from Conor oh I would simply sell it under the guise of um Eve and I had spoke earlier that it was very odd that the princess would be traveling with such Companions and I I did tell her that it was for me to learn and improve my swordsmanship and my fighting skills so I could offer to give her a performance to show her what I have learned and if you think about it we would need time to set up for said Spar which would give us a perfect example or a GU excuse whatever you want to call it to have the room uh prepared beforehand she does have a I mean I mean I feel like a fight before a potential fight is a bad idea but if y'all if y'all want to do it y'all can have that I mean I enjoy the show from the corner we don't necessarily have to draw blood or damage each other either we could use the flat of our blades and she could show off the dance that she does with her blades and I won't go into a full Blade song but I could definitely do some some moves here or there and I I will I will magic or I'll keep it to a minimum well I'm not going to go into blad Song for No reason especially if we're going to be going into a fight I can only use it so many times no that is the dance to oh this is that is oh oh sorry yes she sings while she fights I never saw that before no let's we'll we'll talk questions later yes feel as though we may be getting distracted from the point yes thank you I can s for God an appointment for this evening for a dinner if that is what you all desire also ensure that we get access to the room early however I cannot ensure that it will not be inspected by a guard after our access prior to the meeting well ter is that all right I worried about a guard sweetheart a not a guard on this planet that can find me if I don't want them to well then we can also just use the sparring as a backup plan in case they start to leave just show it as a demonstration of the asterian skillfulness and artistic nature in battle as a as a backup plan so I thought this was the original plan it either way it can be or it can't be I'm just saying it could be a backup we go normal if they start to leave excuse me would you like to see a demonstration you don't have you don't have stage fight do you no if if it's not already planned then we won't have an excuse to be in the room beforehand and to keep people out hence why we would be good to let others know that this is going to be part of the dining experience if F cannot get the room to herself then yes I think we go with Vol first and then if it is necessary to use to get the room then we use it all right so do we have a plan I think so I believe you're inviting them to dinner or finding a room or prepping the room with vol if we need to there's a fight if not we just eat ching ching ching [Music] ching give it a minute the gods take a minute to get here did you all enjoy Miss Beth's stew oh my goodness she's lovely she has great spices I'm sure she gets them from the north because we make the best anyway but yes she's very good I had heard we got a hand for from the north not too long ago that brought down the spicier things is there any left who what' you say Connor is there any left I didn't get to try the stew neither did I I love spicy things as a dinner about this time you hear at the door you into one of the guards uh enters into the room um he doesn't look alarmed but does look around the room takes everyone in would you please let um one of the scheduling assistants know that I wish to have dinner this evening with both uh and hopefully squash these issues regarding the exterior wall of course my Lord is there anything further that you need um do ensure that Miss Beth sends some stew to this dinner I will not go without the soup please I will make sure it is done my Lord slight bow as he walks out um about um I'll say he set the time for 8:00 p.m. it is roughly currently 4 in the afternoon I think sounds about right on the timelines um so that gives you guys roughly four hours to do as you wish um is there anything you would like to do in the first hour or so um if anyone wants to let Miller know what happened be great yo we fought like crazy killed lots of people damn it I miss all these different Gremlins came out of the ground like she summoned like they were like that actually really cool hey hey hey don't don't be don't be putting that out there we we waited at the door and then went and and then talked about what we were gonna do that is what happened fing uh Tena did did notice that uh Madame 's hands were a little bit weird but we don't but I didn't see that much they're just a little weird she feels normal I bumped into her not gracefully at all we found out ten you can't act nope we're not surprised and Flor is uh eager to act bu we found that out last week not necessarily talented but eager uh Tenya probably would have asked Vol ter before we left if she actually wanted me to tag along when she sets up or not of course I'd love for you to learn I'm telling you I want you to understand I think you've got skills that could uh translate I mean you are one of the most impressive people I've met and I never find you which is a source of constant irritation so if I can learn anything from you I am more than willing to take great pride in that I will meet you at whatever time you wish uh the meeting it is at 8 I should probably get in there about 7 or so um Marcus did you did you set a spot or we just winging this [ __ ] um usually these meetings um of pillars are held in the formal dining hall um but I did request that it be held in a less formal area so it was not as large of an area for your spell um there is a meeting room in which we can dine in um eight rooms down just before the turn all right then well I'm going to go see if I can get some stuff for these spells right quick and I will be back um in that in front of that room around seven what can I do for you princess yes um my my um oh my gosh words hold on my friend and I in in the instance that we do end up performing uh do you have traditional sword fighting clothing here you mean sparring equipment sure what whatever you use I mean I don't use anything I usually hit someone one time and that's that's about it so you guys you you don't have a a traditional guard that you wear when you uh Marcus you won't have to help me out here cuz uh I don't know what she's talking about um I mean the gods may have sparring gear um I could probably ask that it be present at the very least something that um pants perhaps I I'm I I can't fight or wouldn't like to fight and my nice dress if I can help it um don't you have adventuring clothes yes but those also wouldn't really do for a formal exhibition so what you're going to change in front of us pardon so you're going to change in front of us do you do you not have rooms for guests to change okay I mean yes but we want to leave the dinner change and come back we can arrive in the fighting close Okay so that is still the original plan as the fighting close I mean better to be prepared than not so why not wear your adventuring gear I am I am truly trying to understand princess if we are to put on a performance how can it be convincing at all if we're wearing our gross adventuring clothes I will see what I can do to get sparring gear delivered wonderful thank you of course is there anything else anyone would like to do prior to the meeting time Conor did you still want to see if you could check out um Eve's room might still be time to run and take a peek Brian if you're talking to us we can't hear you he's on the phone that must be an important phone call um all right um so for now what we will say is we will Fast Forward till about 7 when voler arrives back um you guys kind of hang out with where where do you go do you just kind of hang out in that that study is there's anything else you'd like to look at prior to I mean I'll hold on to the bedroom idea that's kind of my thought oh going to check her room yeah see if see if it's empty see if we could poke around real quick before the dinner okay so you're going to so you're asking if you can go to Madame Eve's room like her actual quarters in the castle prior to prior to the dinner to see to see if we could poke around I know Conor had mentioned something about that before so I wanted to offer that chance if he would still like to do that it might the current plan if she is to catch us she may not be thrusting enough to come to a dinner we may just be better Serv face like stop getting us in trouble all right sorry I'm back if we're just chilling in the study I'll just go read next to roog and ask him a bunch of questions about the book I'm trying to read book you reading I'm still working on the one that's in primordial so he probably can't help me at all like can you what is this wait can we do a assisted would that be history check be an intelligence check Primal I speak okay well I'm sitting next to Ros DM I'm sorry where are we at I'm they were discussing maybe breaking into Madame Eve's room I know I know he lives here you want to do the thing that I was trying to do in the first place yes I know it may not seem like it but I do pay attention good I'm glad though Tenya did bring up that perhaps that may not be the best idea given that we need Eve's trust in order to pull off the dinner and if we were to potentially compromise that it could leave us with nothing so she might already be on guard from what happened earlier today then she might be preparing for the dinner there in her quarters so alas maybe we can do it later in the evening just for purposes of intelligence checking there you go okay Daniel what' you roll um I didn't roll I'm is it intelligence What specifically are you looking for it's it's the same primordial Zam book that I got forever ago so I'm just looking for maybe any references to her dual nature The Duality of the more innocent playful versus the storm I'm gonna kill everybody anger okay um and you do speak primordial correct I do yes but you said it was thck it's a very hard it's a very hard language to write yes and it is a very hard language to understand and you understand primordial verbally because you are born with that inherently in your body um understanding the writing of it is a little different but I will say you are able to betwix the two of you kind of find some spots where um it does discuss the duality of her nature um often times referred to from Sailors who talk about the um how thickle the sea can be and a beautiful day can quickly turn into a ship's ruin if you are not careful um they talks about those who had seen the aspect of zeboom understood that although she could be very kind and giving could very quickly turn on a dime if something did not suit her fancy and ruin H um about 7 o'clock um B kind of Peaks her head in I got what I need um then you coming or yes yes I'm coming slams book shut runs okay excited so she heads down to the predesignated room about eight rooms down right before the bend you can kind of smell the kitchen from here as you make your way into the room it's a uh a pretty large room um vaed ceiling of course um almost the entire thing is the table there's a very large table set in the center of the room where there there are 10 chairs around it um and I mean other than that it's a pretty non-descript room um there's a couple of fancy suits of armor around the exterior a painting a couple of paintings on the walls but more or less it's a meeting room there's not going to be a lot in there for for distraction um voler immediately sets to work on glyphs and you weren't paying attention to it before when she did it in the study but she moves immediately behind the door like right beside the door sets a glyph there moves back opposite of it at an angle and it's kind of weaving as she moves from one side to the other so that there is always at every point in the room a glyph pointing somewhere in that room to connect to another one um and as she kind of finishes the last set for the Split Second you can see like a spider web of light first split second or it fades cool and the spell is set as far as you can tell um at this time she goes all right this is the part you need to pay attention to right she pulls out it's it's a cloth and she flips it once and that same cloth that you saw up far up north where it was white and set with snow and some ferns from the local fauna and she flicks it again and it's a lush green um with large oak leaves uh set around it and she flicks it one more time and then it just kind of becomes black and not just like a black like a absorbing black where any light that you would think would hit it as the kind of flames flicker along the corner where it would dance across something else this black just absorbs that no color Escape this there is no reflection this here is a really fancy tool basically it helps me hide but help me become part of the environment around myself now the Black version of it is best for places like this because you can't quite get the stone right work if you ain't got the right Stones so instead of trying to find stonework I often try to find a dark corner I just become a part of the black as opposed to a part of the wall does that make sense yes it does very similar to chlow in the woods that the animals do with the color tones yeah yeah so instead of trying to get the stones right every time because it's a lot of work to get Stones right I tried it once or twice it it works half the time I just decided that I'd become part of the Shadow instead that's she clicks her heels together and then she puts her feet up on the wall and walks 90° straight up into the corner yeah where she kind of tacks it in in places and you're watching her do it and you know exactly where she is but yeah the moment she's kind of set you can't like you know she's a holistic protection approach a lack of a spot to find a weakness although heavy those who can carry it are you more of a better off for IT stand and fight stance instead of a more mobile more reactive stance very much so back in my days as a God we stood in I always stood to fight no matter the problem many a monster come from the rift that met me at the gate was sent away whether it's the gates protecting the armor protecting or us protecting we need to be able to do so against both forms of malice correct I don't believe I follow both foreign and domestic of course it is my job to meeting in this government probably has boo got it well I'll pick up like a mug on the table and then I'll wave my hand and just grab some water and bring it into my cup and say I prefer water now you and I both know that this project will take many years to complete fully but we can start to pay for it now and progress can be made until the next ual tide festival or more funds can be allocated it is not that simple you cannot just take funds allocate them and then assume that the same funds next year will be allocated in such the same way without the king's approval I was under the impression that the king had approved all of this from the start wall outside of dona's wall is important and he is very aware of that necessity yes but we cannot just simply apply funds from a continued project when we may have further funds and Necessities we still need to pay the guards you are very aware of that fact you look at those reports monthly that I send to you and Madame Eve Cuts in I don't believe that it is so much of an issue that the fund is so high that we can't afford it eventually Lord Marcus it is that how many years must you drain the coffers in order to complete this project one that even with our great design is only effective against lowlevel Monsters and the common wolves yes but it is more protected than the people are currently not to mention that after the events at shoam it appears as though a necessity for further defenses along the outer wall at least slows momentum of any force that may be moving against the city of Dua it seems benign to me that you cannot allocate enough enough money to at least begin this project outside of dona's wall where do you draw the line you put a wall outside of donus name it after yourself for your own glory and then the next pillar of Defense does the same a further wall out more at what point do we draw a line on the walls that we are willing to pay for the taxpayers could use this to better their situations more jobs we could hire more guards for a fourth of the cost to increase patrols yes but increasing patrols does not slow a large Force more bodies against a wall of evil will not stop that evil something to defend will a stand in fight mentality sir tan if I may and who are you to speak amongst the scil I didn't know it was a council meeting I thought it was just dinner um I may be a very low person compared to the great pillars here within the city however if if you know the reports from shom I don't see how not building the wall is a valid argument or someone who does not understand the vast coffers and many expenses of running a city as Dua as a silver bar made there is better use for funds for people especially when shabam was crushed the push there was ended and that is the largest push I don't think that the rift can put forth another such large grouping of monsters anytime soon let alone focused at Delver there are better softer targets out there we may not understand the large coffers that you have to offer but we all have homes we all have families we all people that we want to protect something in the way something tall and strong that will give you same time and Marcus's suggestion was to do that Flor had a good idea for her uh servant and her to spar as part of a distraction and a reason to get voler into the room as if she couldn't do that already with how sneaky she is I mean come on um yeah and that's kind of where we were just a lot of talking not a lot of fighting a distraction okay then did I miss anything what no everything's on about right okay and then in case things do kick off I'm wearing my lucky shirt which has made me roll great so far dude I have new die I have rolled an 18 and 19 as my first two rolls with [Music] it transformed into a giant ape and his last shot he critted on both his attacks and it did just enough damage to finish it off with one turn before my death would have been permanent so they got a rify spell off on me before I fully passed away like it literally has like the RDM was like it could not have happened more perfectly but so now I have just a badass character in the wings that want to run with I'm surprised I've kept I've kept uh oh [ __ ] Oberon alive as long as I have in Ryan's campaign I need to get my CFB stuff done tonight too I'm not gonna get that done until I get back tomorrow hallway you do have to move 20 30 feet to get out into the hallway because she has broken line of sight for you got it can I move and get her back in my line of sight you can okay your full movement
