The San Francisco 49ers Just BROKE The NFL.. | NFL News (Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel)

that team was prepared Shanahan had an incredible game plan designed I mean if you think about how many people were wide open in the passing game how the Run Lanes uh formation were just incredible I do believe the ners put the league on notice ain't this what you've been waiting for and I was ready the ners did to the Jets what they did to everybody last year this offensive roster it's insane it's I don't it's stacked I mean tight end's good the backup running back's good the left tackle's the best ever Debo Jennings I you K but boy the 49ers top to bottom now you but imagine what they did they did that without CM the offensive player of the year I think they learned that if we're consistent and we execute the way we're supposed to we can beat anyone you know you guys I'm just going to go ahead and jump straight into the San Francisco 49ers at this point because this team man just played in their week one game and man oh man they looked like the team we thought they were going to be they came in and absolutely dominated a team that everyone thought was going to be one of the better teams in the NFL so the come out and look that good in a week one game shows just how much talent this team has and it should show you that this team is right back where they were last year with a great chance to go really really far the offense was able to move the ball at will for the majority of the game and the defense absolutely shut down a really talented offense and that's all you can ask for especially in the season opener but before we get into why I believe that as all of you know now the NFL season is finally close to getting here and just like all of you I'm extremely excited but what's got me even more excited is what my partners over at DraftKings are currently doing they off a really good off season where they added a lot of key pieces that I thought were going to make this team even better than they were in the previous season even though they made it to the Super Bowl last year this organization has proven time and time again they're never satisfied and they're going to do whatever it takes to get that super bowl and they showed us that once again this off season and we just got to see it all pay off in week one of the regular season I think we got to start on the offensive side of the ball and man to be honest I was a little bit worried that the 49ers offense wasn't going to be as impressive as most people thought simply because they were playing one of the best defenses in the league and Christian mcaffry was out with an injury so not only are you missing your best player but you also are playing against a defense it's been a top five defense two years in a row now and that made me a little bit scared for what we were going to see but uh if you watched any of this game it was pretty easy to see that the 49ers were not scared of this defense at all even without Christian mcaffrey they went right at him and even though they started off a little bit slow as the game went on we started to see all the rush get knocked off and we started to see this offense look like the usual 49ers offense I think the first thing we got to talk about is the 49ers being able to run the ball at will against one of the best front sevens in the league despite having their backup Jordan Mason as the starter I mean they absolutely ran the ball straight down the Jets throat from the start to the finish of the game and that's why Jordan Mason was left with over 140 yards rushing while averaging 5.2 yards per carry which is pretty unheard of especially for a backup I mean this guy was playing really good football but at the same time you've also got to give a lot of credit to the offensive line and Kyle Shanahan for scheming these runs to have wide open holes because I felt like every time Jordan Mason got the ball he had somewhere to run and then when he got to the second level he was going to make someone Miss and that's why he had such a good game on the ground I feel like they almost never got tackled for no gain or a loss and if you're gaining yardage on every single Run play and most of the run plays are going for good yardage it's going to cause a lot of trouble for the opposing defense and that's exactly what we saw happen and we eventually saw it start to wear this defense down and make them not as effective as they usually are they started having to really worry about this run game and that's when we saw Brock py be able to to open it up and find Guys open down the field for big chunks and that's why Brock py also finished pretty efficiently playing football like we know he can he may not have thrown a touchdown because the 49ers were running the ball so well but he still completed over 65% of his passes and threw for over 200 yards against like I've said multiple times now one of the best defenses in the league with arguably the best secondary in the entire league I mean they have S Gardner and DJ Reed at the corner positions and that honestly didn't seem to matter much because guys were still finding ways to get wide open and Brock py was still finding ways to put the ball on the money and if he can do that in week one against a great defense without Christian mcaffrey he's going to be able to do it for the entirety of the season and it's only going to continue to get better from here I really do think py is a great candidate to win the MVP and if he's able to win the MVP obviously this offense is going to be one of the best but even though the offense was really good you still got to have a great defense if you want to go deep in the playoffs and the 49ers showed they have that as well considering they played against an Aaron Rogers L offense that has a ton of talent and they basically shut them down for four quarters the scoreboard shows 19 points but in reality they only scored 12 or 13 points because the last touchdown came with backups in with not much time so you only gave up 13 points to an MVP caliber quarterback and there is a lot of reasons for why that happened the first and the biggest reason in my opinion was being able to shut down one of the best running backs in football in bree Hall only allowing him to rush for 54 yards while just averaging 3.4 yards a carry every time he got the football it looked like there wasn't anywhere to to go the 49ers did a great job of clogging up running Lanes which is something they didn't do a great job of last year so to see them come into this year and be able to do that is really really promising I think you can credit the defensive line and this linebacker room for being able to do that and what's crazy is you still don't have that guy Dre Greenlaw who will be back in a couple of weeks as well to make this defense even better so the front seven against the Run played great but on top of that you also saw the front seven against the pass played great because they were able to get after the passer at a pretty consistent basis and him not to have much time to think about where he wanted to throw the football I know they only ended up getting one sack but there's a lot more to rush in the passer than just sacks and when you're getting pressure on the quarterback it's going to make them make bad decisions and that's one of the reasons why we saw Aaron Rogers throw an interception he had to rush the throw out because he was getting heated up and when he did that he didn't make the greatest throw and he threw to someone that was pretty covered which led to a big time interception which really started to put the game Out Of Reach we saw guys like Nick Bosa get after the passer really well even though he was going up against a great tackle in Tyrone Smith and we saw the addition of Leonard Floyd be able to get back to the quarterback to along with Nick Bosa which makes up an edge Duo that I'd be really scared of and you of course still have Malik Collins who I thought played really good in his first game as a Niner and you still have Javon hardgrave who is obviously a beast in his own right as well and then to go along with that we also saw the secondary play really good locking down the Jets for the majority of the game outside of one or two drives I felt like they were all over the receivers and they were being extremely physical which is exactly how the 49ers want to play football and at the secondary can keep that level of play up everything else is going to be fine because if you're locking down the receivers in front of you combined with being able to get after the passer that's when a defense becomes Elite and I think that's exactly what the 49ers have they have an elite defense it's going to be a top 10 if not a top five unit in football and if you pair that with a 49ers offense that we just saw dominate the New York Jets there's just no way in my mind that this team doesn't win their division again and doesn't go really far in the playoffs because they're just too talented and too well coached not to I mean they did what they just did without Christian mcaffrey and Ricky peaw on the field so when those two guys return I can't even imagine what we're about to see this 49ers team do you [Music]
