what's going on everyone Chris from pick dogs.com here with your free pick in the Philadelphia Phillies versus Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball matchup going down Thursday August 29th 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet head on over to pick dogs.com and click the premium picks tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves the Philadelphia Phillies sending out Christopher sand for the start in this one while the Atlanta Braves have Charlie Morton listed as a starter on ESPN we'll have to see if that ends up being the case um but Sanchez going for the Phillies here and it's probably a welcome sight for him to get back home I mean that's where Sanchez has done you know a uh a lot of solid work this season across 13 starts a 2.18 erra a 217 opponents batting average is over 100 percentage points lower than his Road opponent batting average which is at 324 so you know Sanchez pitching in Philadelphia for the first time in uh in in about two weeks you know so I think he'll I think he'll you know benefit from that but we already saw the Braves get to Sanchez already in the last series between these two teams just over a week ago and got to him for three runs on nine hits over six Innings of work Sanchez did have eight strikeouts in that start but gave up a home run for the second straight outing and the Atlanta Braves have been doing some damage against lefties you know they've been hitting lefties fairly well fairly consistently in the last two weeks against lefties they're hitting 258 the team Ops numbers are top 10 in baseball the isolated power numbers are top 10 as well so I think that they can definitely you know put up some runs here against Christopher Sanchez now on the other side you got the Phillies going against Charlie Morton and Morton hasn't been a consistent starter and you know that's you know I he's been a starter but he hasn't been overly consistent for much of the year and the Phillies are starting to pick up their play against right-handed pitching they're hitting 285 against righties in the last two weeks the team Ops numbers are top 10 so Philly is starting to heat up and I would say you better watch out but I will say I like the value that we're getting here with the Atlanta Braves this kind of plus price I trust the Atlanta Braves Bullpen far more than I trust Phillies to be able to sustain whatever their Bullpen is doing right now for whatever reason the bullpen for the Phillies leads baseball with a 2.45 staffy ra but Atlanta's isn't far behind and like I said I just trust the Atlanta Braves more this is the kind of year where you know they tend to turn it on and this is a huge Series in terms of the division Race So for one side to be laying around minus 150 when I think this should be maybe minus 120us 125 getting this kind of plus money with the Atlanta Braves is where I want to be not a game I'm rushing to the window to bet this one I'm probably better off watching as a fan but for the value I got to take the Atlanta Braves on the money line in this one that's going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those a pick dogs premium while your pick dogs check out our betting tools they're 100% free they're the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action thanks for watching see you guys soon
