CHICAGO SKY VS WASHINGTON MYSTICS RECAP

the Chicago Sky loses to one of the worst teams in the WNBA let's talk about it in the [Music] show Welcome in and welcome back to P life for way I'm your host Ria if you're not subscribed to the show algorithm all right y'all I am back I am back I know I have been in my a I know y'all miss me um I was on vacation for a week and then the week when I came back from my vacation um I was under the weather so that's why I haven't been putting out any content but I am back today so we could talk about the Chicago sky in this Mystics game and I ain't gonna lie to y'all I am highly disappointed this was definitely a game that the Chicago Sky could have won um first of all the m is not even trying to win so this is very embarrassing that y'all lost to a team that's tanking you know the the m is one of the worst teams if they're not the worst team in the WNBA right now and this is who y'all choose to lose to like I'm just totally disappointed in the sky um this is the third game that they lost in the row just off of they they they don't know how to close at the end that's that's what I realized like they've been having a hard time closing games out and every single one of these games they could have won they just totally fell apart at the end and one thing that I realized about what all three of these games have in common in is that is that they lost on inbounds you know they lost to the aces you know on the inbound to Asia they lost to Connecticut because they couldn't inbound the ball d uh D kingon stole the ball and then tonight they had issues in inbounding the ball on the last on the last possession so it's just like I don't know what's going on with this inbounding at the end of the game but like I said man this game was a game that they could have won they should have won I don't know if the sky just played down today competition or what I don't know I don't know y'all sorry but let's get let's go ahead and just get into this recap so the mystics beat the sky 74 to 70 and like I said man this game was just um it was just terrible in in the fashion that the way they lost I knew when this game first started um they had too many turnovers in that first quarter like they continue to turn the ball over and I'm just watching this game like take better care of the ball watch who you throwing the ball to it was just like they just kept stealing the ball over and over again I'm just like yo this is this is terrible you know what I'm saying like this is terrible like but it's always they got down and the sky came back um like I said the biggest reason tonight for this loss is because they had they had 23 uh turnover tonight but I will say we do have some positives in this game um we did get some production off the bench because we know we have not been getting any production From the Bench these last few games tonight we really did get some production From the Bench um you had Diamond the Shi come in and probably have one of her best games domond The Shield came off the bench and gave you 12 points tonight then you had Bri Turner come in she didn't give you no points but she did play some good defense um she had a block and she had a steal so um that was a positive for her so like I said we got some we got some production Off the Bench today and matter of fact everybody scored off of the bench today ascept for B Turner but like I said B Turner didn't have no points but she did um come in and you know so show some good signs um so some good signs on on defense I'm sorry if I'm looking I'm looking at my notes but um like I said yeah they they we got some prediction today they haven't been doing well but at the end of the day man the sky they they really have to do better with like I said just closing these games out um there's no reason why you should be you should be Los to the mystics this this this this is an embarrassing l i a't going lie to you this is very embarrassing but um a couple of things that uh I did like though I did like to play from Camila tonight I see that Camila is really getting comfortable in her game um like I said on other shows prior to this one I've always said that I want Camila to be a little bit more aggressive around the room I want her to be a little bit more aggressive on defense and I feel like over these last um matter of fact since the break since we came back I feel like Camila has played a whole lot better so just imagine when you give Camila Cordo a whole entire offseason to prepare and get better I feel like next year she's gonna be a whole lot better um and she's scoring she she's scoring and I feel like for whatever reason I I don't know why but it seems like every time Camila get it going and she's scoring it's like they go away from her like I don't I don't understand that it's like it's it's just common sense whoever is hooping you feed them the ball like you can can you just feed that person a ball like she's on and this was another um another thing that I seen in the last game too was just like Camila had one of her best games like you gotta keep going to your big especially when she's playing really really well like you gotta keep going to her because like like I ain't gonna lie to you y'all like Angel has not been playing good like these last few games I know like this is my pick for rookie of the year but I ain't gonna lie Angel has not been making her case to be the Rookie of the Year Angel really has to um do better with's scoring around the rim at the rim and it's just like she's just I don't know if she's not taking her time and she just putting up fast but Angel has to do better with scoring at the rim and I know like she gonna get that she gonna get her office and rebound and put it back but if you just score the first time like you don't have to worry about putting it back and one another thing that I realized about angel too is like she keep taking these extra um these extra dribbles that you don't need to take and every time you do that you give the you give the defense time to adjust like catch the ball and go up like she need to take some notes from Camila and just when Camila get the ball like Camila ain't trying to do no extra moves Camila catch the ball and she's going right up with it so I think Angel gota she have to kind of like start putting in her game and stop taking that extra uh bounce out because she is giving the defense um time to adjust but like I said I I I'm not I'm not GNA be too hard on my girl but at the end of the day like I have to be honest you know even though this is one of my favorite plays on this team like I have to be honest like I really just want Angel to get better with scoring um scoring around the room so um that was one of the things that I seen um Dana play will today Dana you know after the debacle that was going on on Twitter with all the mess with her wanting to be traded and her her uh her manager just being unprofessional like I feel like today she came in and she played a whole lot better um I want to say she knocked down a three she knocked down a three and I seen her uh being very aggressive on defense um but one thing I did not like I didn't like how at the end of this game where they could have closed it out I think at this point they were like maybe up I want to say maybe they was up maybe four or maybe six but it's just like Dana had the ball and like she I don't know if if teaspoon told her to do this but I seen her like dribble trying to like dribble like dribble the clock down and just like yo just just shoot the ball if you going to hold the ball shoot the ball like Dana we know you know how to hoop sometimes no shade no te but like just just take those shots and I ain't gonna lie to y'all I ain't gonna lie to Y I seen and tpoon keeps doing this set that I I absolutely freaking hate I ain't gonna lie to you this rotation I hate when she be having Mariah Jefferson and Dana in at the same time and I don't know if she's doing it more so so Dana could play more of the shooting guard but I I I absolutely hate that rotation first of all okay I gotta be honest y'all and I don't want to certain rule when I say this I'm tired of seeing Rachel Ben and Mariah Jefferson out there they not y'all not doing anything it's like y'all come on the court sometimes Rachel benam come in like she did tonight she knocked down the three but I feel like they really have not did much since they been here now I'm not saying like I wanted them to come in and just change life in Chicago but it's just like if you don't be on this team like you just have to contribute a little bit more and I understand you know they knew they trying to get acclimated but I feel like I look I I need a little bit more from them um and I don't know if it's um the way the the plays are being ran but I'm just like I'm just not I'm just not too enthused when when those two um come in again like I said man no shade no to neither one of them but I just I don't know I'm just not seeing a lot I'm not seeing a lot from them um but I was outside of that man um what else did I see um during this game um coaching got to get a whole lot better I love tpoon but um some stuff is just a little bit question questionable like challenging that foul there was really a foul when you really need your challenge at the end of the game there really wasn't a foul like just just like little you know just little stuff like that that um I seen but overall like I said the sky like they definitely could have won this game this was a a very very this is a very winnable game um like I said the Mystic the mystics is in a place where they not even trying to win so y'all let them come out here and and beat y'all is is just kind of embarrassing at the end of the day so um yeah man the sky we play again on Friday of course we got to play against the fever so hopefully um Kennedy Carter is back um Kennedy Carter was out tonight um with sickness so that's the reason why um she didn't play tonight she was out for some type of uh health safety protocol or something but hopefully Kennedy is back on Friday because we definitely need her um to try to close some of these games out like I seen Ken last week um like I said it just I don't know what's going on at the end of these games where they just totally fall apart but Kennedy saved them last week with their three but of course you know Asia with the spoiler so yeah man like I said they gota they got to do a whole lot better um if they want to make the playoffs um thankfully the the dream did uh they lost today as well to the Seattle Storm so we are still ahead um but we got to get a whole lot better if we if we want to make the playoffs like if they ain't trying to make the playoffs then hey lose the rest of these games but it just really frustrates me because I know the potential that this team has like I know they can beat good teams like I've seen them beat the aces I've seen them beat the New York Liberty so it's like I know y'all can beat good teams so when y'all drop a game to a team like the Miss is is like come on like I know I know y can play a whole lot better than what y'all play tonight but like I said Friday we got the fever so I hope um everybody is healthy I hope everybody is rested because you know the fever is going to bring their a game I ain't gonna lie to you um the fever has been playing really really well uh right now Kaylin Clark and Kelsey Mell and the Leah Boston they really have going and then of course U Lexi H is is is kind of you know coming to her own she's getting more comfortable with her game so this is not gonna be a easy game um angel I need one of them 25 or 12 games games again like you did when y'all played the fever the first time or if you want to give me a 2020 game I'll take that too but we gotta win this game against the fevera on Friday we gotta be we gotta we gotta uh break this tiebreaker because right now it's one1 and you know if if they don't win against against the fever you already know what the media gonna be oh Kaylin is the Rookie of the Year all this so hopefully on Friday um we can come out with a win so y'all that is the end of this episode um I hope you guys like the commentary y'all let me know what y'all thought um about this game in the comments did the did the sky play down today competition like are you are you guys um irritated as I am like I said I feel like this is a game that they could have won so um yeah let me know down in the comments and also um this is just a little
