all right Le another juror has come forward to say Karen Reed was found not guilty of murder during their secret deliberations that's according to a new filing from Reed's defense team investigative reporter Ted Daniel broke this story on boston25news.com as Ted explains Reed wants her murder charge and one other dismissed this is the fourth juror the offense claims to have communicated with according to Reed's attorney Alan Jackson This juror contacted him to say they felt uncomfortable with the way the trial ended last week judge kenon despite our rigorous efforts we continue to find ourselves at an impass judge bever kenon declared a mistrial after the jury sent three notes saying they were deadlocked in this new filing Jackson quotes the jurors saying every one of us will agree and acknowledge that we found Karen Reed not guilty of counts one and three because that's what happened count one is second degree murder count three is leaving the scene of a fatal crash according to Jackson the jury was only hung up on the manslaughter charge and the jury believed that they were compelled to come to a resolution on all counts before they could or should report verdicts on any of the counts Jackson doesn't name the fourth juror but says he or she will testify to all this if their identity is kept confidential earlier this week the defense cited three other jurors who according to a filing say the same thing about what happened behind the scenes judge dony gets to decide if the motion to dismiss has Merit I'm investigative reporter Ted Daniel for your local station Boston 25 News
