Ezekiel Elliot back at Dallas

Zeke is headed back to Dallas but there's one crazy aspect of this whole situation so this new contract they announced on Tuesday is a one-year $3 million deal you might remember that back in 2019 Zeke signed a massive 6-year $90 million extension but the Cowboys released him before the start of last season well the Cowboys are still paying for that contract too in 2024 they have a dead cap charge of over $6 million from that deal so that means that next season the dead cap charge from his last contract is at least twice as much as the money they'll pay him to actually play on their team next year
