what is going on everybody David Productions 345 here today we got another video for you guys and it's going to be a maintenance video on this car and how much I spent on everything this year this past year so I'm going to be going over stuff like oil changes tires brakes so without further Ado guys let's get right into the video I hate long intros this is my 2013 dge Charger RT Max awheel Drive let's do a little walk around for you guys real quick new all-wheel drive black noise rims from the new Chargers new brakes power stop d26 quad tips SRT spoiler window spoiler simple stuff let's pop the hood real quick 5.7 L V8 okay a little bit dirty but don't worry about it so I'm going to be doing a little bit of a POV drive over this footage so it's not just me walking around around my car just to make it a little bit more interesting guys so without further Ado let's get right into it so the first thing I want to talk about is tires so these are my Bridgestone alenza as ultros I bought in January and they are basically gone you guys can see the tread is really low I got to get a new set of tires next season I have my winter tires I'm going to be putting on soon so I'm not worried about that also with tires I only really buy sets of used tires because I go through them pretty quickly and these tires I think were 450 on eBay all four corners same tires so that's not too bad the first thing on the list I'm going to also have a total of everything at the very end I just wanted to mention guys some things on this list you obviously don't have to buy every year I just wanted to tell you guys what I had purchased this last year in terms of maintenance for this car so tires number one number two CV axle so I replace this side the passenger side CV axle this year it was a couple months ago I believe it was not a hard job and the part itself was 70 bucks on eBay I think it was trq brand or Detroit Axle brand I have one on the other side it's been pretty good um the labor itself I obviously did it myself so there's no labor so 70 bucks not bad bought like a couple hours of Labor like an hour and a half 2 hours of Labor not too bad also when I did my CV axle for the passenger side I also did my upper control arm as well so that was $60 for that wasn't too bad as I said before guys I did all this labor myself besides the steering rack my friend did most of it for me but it helped him a little bit next my radiator fan so I recently replaced that last week it was $100 next thing I want to talk about guys is my steering rack that was $300 and it came with both tie rods as well so it's was a pretty good package got that on eBay next thing I want to mention is my oil changes so I did three oilo changes this past year I think one in February one in like June and then one recently it was like 1,000 miles ago but I did three o changes this year myself they bu $50 each time cuz you have to buy the oil and then the filter next wipers I had recently bought melin wipers I think like almost a year ago I think those was in like January or February these were $40 together $20 each they're the highest quality ones I guess next I had to buy power steering fluid for the steering rack and that was $30 I had to buy the airbox cleaner fluid was $40 for both the engine box cleaner and the cabin air filter cleaner I also bought blender actuators for the interior so I bought four of them and they're $20 each and finally I bought brakes and those were 550 which brings my grand total to $2,000 I only bought all this stuff cuz my car needed it and it's around 100K miles higher mileage Vehicles you obviously need to buy more stuff so if you're looking to buy Doge Charger RT these aren't really too bad of cars the main things that you need to be buying or tires then you need to be doing oil changes and then sometimes the front suspension kind of gives out so you got to buy those parts I guess doing the labor yourself is not hard at all um next time I do it I guess I do a video on it just to pass two times I haven't had the GoPro so it's been kind of hard for me to do that but um looking at everything on this list $2,000 for a whole year of Maintenance I think when I did my average cost video it was around the same I think also I forgot to mention gas gas is one of the most expensive things $70 basically each fill up from empty which is kind of crazy fill up maybe twice a week if I'm being honest guys this car has been really good no problems only reason it overheated was because my radiator pel disconnected tires have been pretty good you guys see going bald kind of they're getting really low got my winners coming soon the brakes have been amazing these are the power stop z26 brakes all four corners brand new you guys can see they're still really shiny my friend when I installed these um I also got new Lugnut these are $2 $22 kind of rusting a little bit already so I got another set in my garage certain things like the brakes don't have to be touched for another couple years the suspension is already pretty good stuff like that if I took all that off the average cost of this would probably be about $11,000 $1,200 if I took off the brakes and then tires obviously are expensive when you have these cars guys you guys kind of realize that buying used tires is not a problem as long as there's no holes and stuff don't take that into account in terms of the yearly costs so if I would put an average on this probably about $1,000 a year here which is not bad anyways guys I just wanted to mention the maintenance cost of these cars a lot of people hate on these cars saying they're really expensive and honestly this has been about the same as my Chevrolet the only difference is I've paid a lot more money to have some of else do the work versus this car which I done most of the work myself so definitely if you guys are looking forward to getting one of these cars make sure that you're able to do some of the work yourself because some of the stuff is really easy anyways guys I'm going to try to see next time I do any of my control arms or anything I'll do video on how to take this stuff apart because it's pretty easy I kind of memorized how to do it already so definitely make sure if you guys have any questions leave down below in the comments also in order to buy one of these cars I would recommend getting one of the Hanes manuals because they're very useful they help me with the torque specs for these cars make sure everything was torque to spec with my torque wrench but help me get everything knocked out pretty easily pretty quickly but anyways guys I think I'm going to end this video off here two things first I forgot to mention spark plugs those are $130 for 16 spark plugs did the labor myself so add $130 to the total let's do a little math $70 each fill up time two fill-ups a week 140 * 52 7280 just for gas then plus 2,000 for the stuff that I paid and then plus 130 for the spark plugs 9410 and then I'm going to subtract about a th000 because I did a lot of stuff that is not needed every single year so 8410 so this is about the average cost per year for Dad's Charger RT including gas hope you guys enjoy this video we're on the road to 1,000 subscribers so make sure you like the video make sure you subscribe turn the notifications on share this video with your
