what's up Buzz talk we got five and five Syracuse versus 5 and5 Georgia Tech um this is probably the biggest game in the brink key era that the short time we've had Brent key as head coach um you know if it's not the biggest game it's definitely probably the most important so far with MSA coach uh we got to beat Syracuse to make a bowl um probably we we got Georgia the week after but let's just goad and handle Syracuse that way we don't have to worry about Georgia cuz if we handle Syracuse and we qualify for a bowl it doesn't matter what Georgia does to us Georgia could beat us you know they they could reenact Cumberland they could beat us like like we beat Cumberland they I I hey God forbid but Georgia could beat us like Cumberland if if we take care of Syracuse that don't even matter we qualified for a bull um looking at the history of these two teams Georgia Tech leads the series with two wins and one loss I'm looking at the standings Georgia Tech is ranked as the number six team in the ACC at 4 and3 with a number three ranked offense in the ACC and the number 14 ranked defense in the ACC the number 24 ranked offense and number 130 ranked defense in the country looking at Syracuse excuse me ranked the number 12 team in the ACC at one and five with the number 10 ranked offense and the number 11 ranked defense in the ACC the number 90 ranked offense and the number 72 rank defense in the country looking at some stats quarterback Haynes King coming off of a tough game against Clemson 192 for 314 2,459 passing yards 24 passing touchdowns 14 interceptions 87 carries for 5 142 rushing yards six rushing touchdowns running back Jamal Haynes 130 carries for 768 rushing yards six rushing touchdowns wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr 38 receptions for 580 receiving yards six receiving touchdowns wide receiver Malik Rutherford 38 receptions for 428 receiving yards three receiving touchdowns and then DB Clayton po once again um still our leading tackler for our defense 56 total tackles 25 solo 31 assists two passes defended one interception then looking at the other team Syracuse we got quarterback Garrett shrer 124 for 199 1513 1,513 passing yards 10 passing touchdowns five interceptions 103 carries for 402 rushing yards seven rushing touchdowns and three receptions for 10 receiving yards running back laquin Allen 166 carries for 797 rushing yards seven rushing touchdowns wide receiver Damen Alford 24 receptions 389 receiving yards one receiving touchdown wide receiver yamari Hatcher I think I'm pron pronouncing that right maybe it's yamari yumari not sure uh U Hatcher I'll say that U Hatcher 25 receptions 375 receiving yards two receiving touchdowns and then a linebacker Marlo wax th this is the type of linebacker play that that that I uh I wish Georgia Tech had this this year um you know I feel like literally just the linebackers of just ju looking at our defense of if just the linebackers were better and we had better linebacker play we had like a linebacker as our leading tackler not a defensive back I feel like our defense would be way better all around but listen to this linebacker Marlo x 83 total tackles 54 solo 29 assists four sacks two passes defended one interception three Force fumbles pretty pretty good season for uh Marlo WX um keys to Victory I I say the keys to Victory it's going to be very similar to um the keys to victory that I had for Clemson stop the quarterback run um if if we give Garrett Shredder the chance he will run when an open Lane is given to him um if if you go back and look at Clips um you know highlights his Run game is very similar to Thomas ctios from Boston College uh he's not as fast as cascianos he's not as fast but uh he he does make the right reads 100% he makes the right reads um our linebackers need to step up we're going to have to spy him we're going to have to assign a spy we're going to have to have good defensive play on him um uh we we can't have Boston College over all over again we we can't like I said he's not as fast but with with how bad our defense is it's like it doesn't matter how fast a quarterback is you could put you could put Tom Brady in the pocket and with the way our defense plays and we we leave quarterbacks wide open lanes Tom Brady could pick up 15 yards before one of our defensive players even touches him so um you know it doesn't matter how fast he is Garrett Shredder makes the right reads and if we give him those open lanes he could easily run for 100 150 rushing yards easy um him and Hayes King remind me a lot of each other of course I think Hayes King is definitely the better quarterback um when he's not forcing the ball anyways but because we're down two touchdowns and he thinks forcing balls will save us but yeah I won't get into that I'm a Hanes King fan but I do got to slander him a little bit just cuz he he messes up but I believe he will get better anyways back back to the keys to Victory uh yeah I mean if we give him open lanes Garrett Shader would definitely find those lanes and he he'll take off um so our our defense has to play good against him stop him and you know of course when you have your quarterback rushing you you have the quarterback run then that turns into the running backs finding open lanes you have you have receivers um you just the overall offense becomes better when you have a quarterback like that so we need to shut straighter down um stop the quarterback run number two for Syracuse to mess up um Syracuse's offense they do a lot of plays where they try to trick the uh posing defense um like last week for example um you can go find the clip but when when so so Sher did a backflip he was lined up as a he was lined up as a wide receiver um and as soon as the ball was snapped he did a back flip to try to trick the defender to try to trick the defensive back of course it didn't work but that's just an example of the kind of things that Syracuse does on offense to try to trick the um to try to trick the opposing defense so I mean I I I think there will be some plays that um I think there will be some plays that Syracuse may try that I think they will be successful but overall our our defense has to has to shut that down um and it it's happened before where Syracuse will try doing those plays and they'll have a wide receiver lined up in the quarterback position and they'll they they'll flick it off to the running back or they'll do something and they'll end up fumbling the ball they'll they'll mess up you know it'll be a tackle for loss whatever because you have a non-quarterback player trying to play that position and it it doesn't go well that's what our defense has to do we need to force them to mess up number three you can guess it um has to do with offense I'll give you a few seconds time's up Haynes King has to have a successful game you know he's he's he's had for sure four bad games this year um Bowling Green Bowling Green Miami Boston College Clemson he's for sure had five bad games in every single game he does the exact same thing in every single game and this is where he his game really starts to falter um in Clemson it was a little bit different because he his Run game was getting shut down the receivers were dropping balls but but with um with Bowling Green and and and Miami and Boston College for the most part it was our offense was being unsuccessful and hannes King was trying to get the he he was trying to get things rolling he was trying to get things going by forcing the ball and you know that that that that's in in one in a way that that that is a good thing because you know your quarterback is trying to make plays but at the same time you're not helping the team out um with Clemson and it it even happened a little bit with uh Miami um but but especially against Clemson like last week we know Eric Singleton dropped two balls um two big touchdowns he dropped two big touchdowns that would have changed the entire game would have changed how Hayes King played it it would have changed everything um so so Hanes King he has to play with confidence I if we get into a little slump during the game I do believe we could be I I do believe I'm not even going to say could I do believe we will be be successful against uh Syracuse their defense plays like in a almost like a deep Zone like they play off almost um so I think Hayes King he can have a good uh a good game running because I think our offensive line will give him good a very good time Jamal Haynes should have a good game but you know going back to Hayes King I think he'll have a great run game we we don't need to throw those deep passes cuz like I said the Syracuse's defense if you watch them a lot they'll a lot of times you know they they'll mix it up but a lot of times they'll play deep zone or uh if they were to play Man they'll play they'll play back Hanes King Eric Singleton mid routes Eric Singleton you know if you want to see him deep sure throw a couple of deep balls but overall we should be able to kill them kill them in the middle of the field with Malik Rutherford Brett Scyther we we we should be able to kill them in the middle of the field period doesn't matter who you're throwing the ball to you should be able to kill them in the middle of the field with how with how much they play deep of course they may try switching it up um but they they know Eric Singleton they know Malik retherford they know we like to throw the ball deep this is where you take that and show them we're not going to do that we're going to abuse the middle of the field and we're going to March down the field that's what you got to do predictions I heard different things I've heard some people say this is going to be a very close game I've heard some people say it's not going to be close um people have said oh it's going to be you know it's going to be a blowout win for Georgia Tech I've heard people say it's going to be a slight victory for um the Syracuse Orange Georgia Tech is favored um by 6 and a half points and so that my prediction is Georgia Tech wins but they do not cover the 6 and 1 12 points I do believe it will be a close game I I believe it it will come down to the fourth quarter and it will come down to us making a game-winning play I've got Georgia Tech winning 3127 3127 is my prediction um who knows my prediction last week for Clemson was I had Clemson winning 3128 um and Clemson ended up and ended up blowing us out so maybe it can be the same thing this week where I have it as a close game um I had it as a close game last week where I had clo uh Clemson winning and a close game maybe I can be wrong this week as in the terms of I got the right winning team but it it's not a close game maybe we will blow them out hopefully who knows like I say week after week I'd love to see Cumberland part two um but with that I will be at the game um I'll be in Section 102 row Section 102 Row three it's either row two or Row three um I I went back and checked the tickets but I keep forgetting it's it's Section 102 row two orow row two or row3 um so if if somebody wants to
