the Washington commanders sent their former first round draft pick Jan doson to the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade that involveed four different Graphics so Philadelphia now has the best Trio of wide receivers probably in the NFL I mean AJ Brown in and of himself is an incredibly difficult matchup once they do that this team should be once again one of the ones that we should be watching not only in the NFC East but throughout the entire conference this is going to be one of the more dramatic and interesting transformations in an offensive scheme we'll see across the NFL you know you guys I'm just going to go ahead and jump straight into the Philadelphia Eagles at this point because I think we all know now that that guy Hoy Roseman is one of the best GMS in all of football and uh just recently we saw him go out and make a move to make his name even better I mean we've already seen him make a ton of moves this off season that have made this team a lot better than they were previously but right before the season started he wanted to go out and get himself another dude that could help out this offense and he did that by trading for the former first round pick Johan doson I think this is a perfect fit for this offense and he's going to be a great receiver to pair with everything else you already had and that's why when I look at this Eagles team they really do look like one of the scarier teams in the NFL but before we get into why I exactly believe that fully if you like eagles content just like this make sure to go down and hit that subscribe button so you don't miss any Eagles videos as we get closer and closer to the NFL season okay so get right back on topic with the Philadelphia Eagles this team of course like I said earlier has already put together a great great offseason they added a ton of pieces to both sides of the ball to make this team better and just recently they wanted to make the team even better so just like I said earlier they went out and signed Johan Dodson Johan Dawson's a guy that went in the first round two years ago and even though he hasn't put up crazy production in his first two seasons he has shown a lot of flashes and you also have to give him the benefit of the doubt because he has had absolutely horrendous quarterback play for his entire time in the league I mean he's caught the ball from guys like Carson Wentz Taylor hecki and Sam Howell which should tell you right there that he's probably not going to have a ton of production because these guys just aren't very good but even with that bad quarterback play he still managed to put up over 500 yards in back toback Seasons which obviously isn't what you want out of a first round pick but it's also not terrible and I think he's shown a ton of flashes throughout his time in the NFL so far he's shown the speed and burst that we saw in college which is really really promising and he's shown us that he can be really really good if you leave him in the slot and I think that's exactly where the Eagles want him at I mean they already have AJ Brown and devont Smith who are both really good at the out outside receiver positions so to add a guy like Johan Dawson who fills in that slot receiver role perfectly is something that's going to make this offense work a lot smoother and it should open up things even more and make Jaylen Herz life even easier I know we saw Jaylen Herz last year have a Down Season and not play as great as football but I think that was mainly just due to Brian Johnson being one of the worst play callers that we've ever seen because he was running the most simple system in the world and it made the offense so predictable that guys weren't able to get open and if you have talent like AJ Brown and devont Smith on your team and they're not getting open you have a coaching issue and that's why I thought it was so obvious that they had to move on from Brian Johnson this off season and they did just that by hiring Kell Moore in his place Kell Moore obviously isn't perfect but he is levels ahead of that guy Brian Johnson and he is going to bring a ton of creativity to this offense especially now with all the weapons they have to work with I expect to see a ton of motion used in a lot of various ways to help guys get more open and they're already going to be and that should allow for this passing game to be one of the best in football AJ Brown is obviously still your number one receiver and he's a number one threat every defense has to worry about and he is going to be that guy you can throw the ball up to and he's going to find a way to come down with it and then devona Smith is going to be more of your route Runner guy as your receiver too who's going to be able to get wide open for you A lot of the time and he can also go up and get the football when you need him to which gives you probably the best receiver duo in the league in my opinion and now with the addition of Jan Dawson I think you don't just have the best duo I think you also have the best Trio in the league at receiver because like I said earlier he is a perfect fit for what this offense wants to do he's another guy that's going to be able to win in one-on-one situations especially if you place him in the slot where he's going to against safeties and linebackers and I think we're going to see Kell Moore use him in a lot of creative ways to make his life easier which is why I'm so so high on this offense not to mention the weapons don't just stop there you also have that guy Dallas Goddard at the tight end position and he's proven himself to be one of the best tight ends in the league which gives you another Elite weapon to throw to Goddard obviously got hurt for a lot of last season but when he was playing he played at a really really high level and I fully believe that he's going to come back into the this season and be able to play at that level again and if he does that there's just not much defenses are going to be able to do to stop all of these different threats that the Eagles have because there's just too many of them you can't double team anyone because the other guy is going to get open but you also don't have any way to stop guys like AJ Brown without double teaming them sometimes so defenses are just going to be in a bind with what to do now what's so crazy is that the offense doesn't just stop there you don't just have Jan Dodson along with the other receivers and the tight end that I already named you also went out this off season and made a great move in my opinion by signing that guy sequin Barkley which should give you an elite running game to go with the passing game sequin is hands down one of the best running backs in football and even though he's been behind a terrible offensive line for the entirety of his career so I fully expect him to have a career year over in Philly when he's finally running behind a competent offensive line he's one of the most explosive running backs that we've ever seen and he also makes pretty much everyone Miss in the open field and if a guy like that has big holes to run through he's going to be able to do a lot of damage and that's exactly what I expect I expect Kell Moore to build out a great creative Run game that allows for sequin to thrive and if you pair a run game like that with a passing attack like the eagles are going to have you should have a top five offense in the league at minimum in my opinion especially since the offensive line is still going to be really good you did lose Jason Kelce but you obviously have that guy cam Jurgens to replace him and then you still have your two great tackles you still have that guy Landon Dickerson so I'm honestly not too worried about this o line and I think Jaylen Herz is going to have time to throw and we're going to see the Run game have success as well behind them so though I mean I don't really know what to tell you this offense is going to be absolutely phenomenal this year in my opinion and I don't think anyone would argue against that because of all the talent that they have and if you pair that along with what this defense is going to be that's when things really start to get scary because you're pairing two great sides of the football together which is something a lot of teams don't have this off season of course you had a great draft where you were able to get Quin yon Mitchell and Cooper de jeene who we've got to see in the preseason some and both of those guys have looked pretty impressive in my opinion but we have got to see a little bit and they've shown some flashes that I really like and I think they're going to see a lot of improvement in their Corner Room which was something they desperately needed heading into this off season they got absolutely shredded in the passing game last year on defense so to go out and add guys like this is a huge huge deal and it just shows once again how good ho Roseman is at his job and we're going to see all of these benefits pay off pretty quickly now the key to this defense isn't going to be the corners though the key to this defense is going to be this defensive line that starts with that guy Jaylen Carter and moves on to guys like Josh sweat Brandon Graham the guy you traded for this offseason Bryce Huff the young guy Nolan Smith who has been going absolutely crazy in this preseason so far Jordan Davis and that guy Milton Williams who is extremely underrated so the key to this defense in my opinion is going to be this defensive line getting after the quarterback and causing pressure because if you can get after the quarterback and cause a lot of pressure to happen that's going to make the secondary's life a ton easier and if you make the secondary's life easy with all the talent the Eagles have that's when I really think this team is going to thrive so I mean there's just not a ton else to say besides this defense added a ton of talent this off season and with Howe Roseman still being on the gas pedal going out and getting that guy Johan Dawson it shows not only me but it also shows the team that they are fully all in and they want to go win a Super Bowl this year and I really do think it's possible but of course that's just my opinion so I'm still curious to know what you guys think in the comments below about this Philadelphia Eagles team and
