welcome everyone to beautiful Annapolis Maryland and on the picturesque Naval Academy these folks have come together in support of the midshipman today we've got a really compelling contest here a team that's earned a top 25 ranking heading on the road for a serious test of their Poise and their medal team on the field now as they get set to send this one [Applause] [Music] away return starts from inside the five good work by the blockers in that return team he found the lane so this drive is going to begin with good field position so Navy's offense will get the first swing today and the quarterback looking to make a play through the air looking a [Applause] scramble gets into space at the 50 here comes a [Applause] punt and no chance for a return as the punch sails out of bounds two good teams with great individual players looking for his big tight end quarterback sets up looking for an open man caught quickly and they get him down after the completion dropping back looking to throw for the first down the pocket break nowhere to go that ball knocked loose looks like the offense able to recover it there here pressure is coming he finds a wide open receiver offense keeps churing gets a fresh set of down first down looking to throw the ball he'll try a pass here looks to the left pass caught all the way to the end zone touchdown Navy oh just outstanding execution here by this offense the offensive line gives the quarterback time all he had to do is turn andat the ball for that touchdown after the incompletion on first down we're going to throw it again it's caught on the left side for a huge gain hon drops back looking for an open man it's a quick ground they make the tackle but the game moves the ball to the 28 out the field goal unit and this one is right through Snap the ho the kick everything there perfect to put three points up here for the [Applause] offense team and navy off comes back out on the field let's see how this offense plays this they try to get some more points for the half or play it more conservative they pressure him and Sack and he'll be tackled inside the 10 some man coverage behind it but you can see how dangerous it can be when you decide to bring these defensive backs because of their speeding to the football they didn't give him any lanes so not much yards down field for the receiver here's an easy completion to the back out of the back field he's moving out of the pocket and the junior able to get home with the sack defensive backs and also allows that defensive line with that good coverage to get after the quarterback as we see here which offense can get it going first this one has been a struggle so far fighting him off solid 8yd gain a lot of space created for a full he can simply make his own way use the running game to chew on this clock now finding some room with the 25 by the back now forces the defense to adjust pitches to the back got a lane can he get in he gets to the end zone touchdown M shman well that's why you practice right there Chris this offense had the pressure the game on their they they get a and now make this a two possession game with under two to the final quarter here comes a first down pass attempt running now the ball comes out a disastrous play from the start offense keeps possession recovers the fumble a couple Choice words on the importance of ball security being third and long inside your own 20 how much of a risk will they take to try to pick up this first down plays bottled up and the football is loose looks like the defense has it how about this defense flying in there trying to get their hat on the ball they do and they're able to pounce on it for a big turnover run out the clock and begin the celebration let's be honest not too many people out there really gave them a chance to win this football game but they come up with a signature upset I think we're surpris as anybody with how this game really played out
