central tigers and the Beric and roosters about the playoff here in the pre final the winner will go through next week and play against the Western Lions we will be calling this game so it's going to be exciting myself Spiller here will be calling the game along with Gavin Lloyd bmd Premiership winning coach with the North Queensland gold stars very successful coach also from Town brothers very experienced in the women's game so exciting news we're going to call the game very shortly between the central tigers and and the vertican roosters e e kickoff will be in 6 minutes at 12:40 p.m. rltd great game this afternoon it's uh Central's first loss last week so it's going to be interesting to see how they bounce back today a cracking game gav mate you've been associated with townsel Brothers women this year gav what have you thought about the women's competition this year um I think it's still developing there's still um girls that are playing in the uh nrw that are local girls which is great but I I would like to see the local comps still improve and a lot more girls playing I think it is getting better with the junior system but uh we still still need more girls to come along and play Junior rby League to improve the uh upper end of the system yeah we're in for a cracking game here central ters were Min a premier um they took on Western LS last week they were undefeated and West L liines in all respect P them through the cleaners G 30 points to nil watch this game um they just didn't turn up on a day so they'll be looking to make amends here they've been very good all year and I know coach Beck Peterson she have the girls ready is we just about to see the central Tigers enter the field very very shortly along with the berin rers girls it's cracking rltd prelim final give a little shout out to Roger white chairman thank you for this opportunity R um on behalf of triple sport we really appreciate it as we see both teams about to enter the field right now the berin roosters followed by the centrals Tigers gav got any predictions here any special um girls out there we should be watching there's some good players across both sides yeah there is I think uh with the berdin last week we played them obviously myself coaching brothers and uh very quick very good on the outside back so uh that's where they got us so the centrals will need to watch uh their outside I think um centrals will be strong through the middle so berdick going to have to toughen up and stiffen up in the middle so it should be an interesting contest e e as we're away there centrals tigers are running South and North here Jack man overal at kwin Brothers East Club here berin hens start off with the ball in hand here they work it towards the middle of the field it's with their number 13 there kazemon she'll play it on the second tackle right on the 40 m line they go to the left Edge lots of energy and positive talk out there from both sides early on they come back to the right there Tony da here at half linking up with one of the big guns of the competition Martina Monday and they get an early penalty here central Tigers stripping the ball um back to back sets here gav some good early possession and field position for the veran roosters yeah big call there with the strip I think um they'll have a couple of tackles there and set up for some shape they love moving the ball the berin so I wouldn't be surprised here if we if we see some sort of shape out to some edges here and try and get him on the outside okay with the front rower there for the vertican roosters Tony Daisy takes on the line she's pulled down by the black and yellow girls Abby King gets out of dummy half comes down the right Edge comes back on the inside and scores under the post the berken roosters are off to a flyer they lead Four Points to nil early points for the ber rooster girls G yeah great start by the biik and um Abby King she won the best forward in the rltd just at the awards on Friday night so she's a great player great touch player and turned out she's a great rugby league player as well so straight under the post good job by Abby King interesting there gav uh Central's very loose around theck lots of spacings in between the markers and a there and Abby King really exposed him little show and go and stepped off the right and finished off a really good try yeah like I we said at the start I think they're very fast the bertic side and that's where they got us last week we our game plan was to go through the Middle with our roll through with our big girls and um they just beat with speed and enthusiasm so uh it's nothing to um what's the word I'm looking for here to we jump out of the box to say that Abby King's going to keep doing that sort of thing because she does it all the time so she's um she was with the gold star system a while back as well a couple years ago as well so she can she can certainly play some football thatby King the number three in Steph Monday converts there for the vertican roosters they lead six points to nil against the central tigers centrals will restart ber and rers take possession now on the 30 m line right on the sideline here right in front of us here in a commentary box they work it through Tia Boer rally there will play the ball back k the hatch with the ball for the vertican roosters ladies they'll play it on the third just over the 40 centrals looking to strengthen up in the middle of field there as Abby King gets out of dummy half links up with kazy Elon there there's a little strip there it's going to be two on one and we've seen it gav centrals haven't had the ball yet we've had nearly five minutes of play backto back sets can be crucial for sure it's a warm day and I think uh you know if you defending set after set it's you're going to crack so the centrals need to improve their discipline there a couple of penalties and they're going to wear out very quickly if they keep um giving away those penalties so berck on the side like I said ear like to move around very loose through the middle there's a bit of a line break here for bikin just down the right hand side in a good position Verdi and go nowhere at the moment but pushing through hard good offload and trying the corner there well done berkin to number was it yeah try to step Monday then Corner great try they looked like they're going to shift to the left there but stayed on the right hand side and back themselves and scored in the corner so well done Verdi yeah so Central is very loose through the middle I think berin seemed to be taking advantage of that and we've seen now backto back sets line breaks through the middle so Buren really need to tighten up with their A and B Defenders and try and stop that flow on effect I think Abby King at dummy half is really putting the pressure on that Central defensive line and the ber and girls are pushing up and take advantage of it so at the moment it's Central really needs to lift their game in the middle so conversion unsuccessful there so yeah 10 mil to the berdick and the central I don't think I've touched the football here Cameron so we'll have to wait and see what uh what's going to happen here if they get through their set get to a kick and centrals can get some footing and see what they do with with it but at the moment it's all oneway traffic yeah certainly is gav they haven't had the best start um very unusual for centrals to be leaking so many points but I'm sure they'll address it and they'll bounce back as we see berin Roose is still possession in hand now just on 8 minutes gone in this game much better defense very s defense here musling up the Tigers girls goes to Tony Daisy for the berin Rouses a little there very dangerous at the line she was outstanding this year at the Folly shield for the Townsville women she'll play it there on the fourth comes back to Abby King once again calling the shots might be six more to go here yep it is fortunately loose hands so berin once again gets back to bad sets third time in a row here Martina Monday plays it goes to Steph Monday she's been very strong they've got a little loss ball no it's been called a strip there so once again they get back to back sets and they've been penalized three times for stripping wall numbers in the tackle they take the quick tap goes the ball yeah must have been the longest 9 and a half minutes of their life camera a lot of time defending there and it was only a poor error and to play the ball from the verin they gave them possession so um yeah they need to uh move the ball around now and I'll be trying to ride through the middle and try to tie some of these berkin girls out because berin like to throw the ball around as we can see and they're quick so i' be interesting to see how the bir can try to attack these sorry the Central's trying to attack these bian girls so we see Central Tigers now enjoying this player s good take there see the Bist is back on the attack now just short of the 40 on the left Edge Central starting to warm in in this game now gab starting to get a bit of continuity and stiffing up their defense a little bit now they just need a little bit more field position yeah I think the message has got up got out there to really tighten up around the Rock and you can see there a Nar from the from from the verin and Central's now got possession in just over halfway on the inside good side of verin there so oh big hit there in the middle well done ver and girls the defense there Central's got to score now try and put some sort of pressure on the biran to uh get back into this game need a little bit more push I think there from centrals trying to find some shape here here to the right interesting to see what they do with it they're going out the back good hands oh not onone Central so bird can feed get bir can get themselves out of trouble there but well defended Central tried got to the middle and tried to throw some shake there but berin defended it well so good job to the berin we got a five and one split here at a scrum which you don't see very often the verin so we just see what they come up with here oh error there from the berin change over Central's in good field position right on the 20min line just to the left of the post so good opportunity here for centrals to go on the attack they having a scram Central are setting up on the scrum line ready for an ed shot well defended by the bikin so far that's tackled one they've shut that one down tackle two there scram line about 5 m out they've gone to the right in numbers great defense the berin don't know what the penny was there for but they gave away a penalty after she was held up so Central sitting up again 2 to 3 me out just on the scrum line back to the middle Samara Luda has a go strong ball Runner ah they've called a strip another penal to Central so this will be their third consecutive set in the red zone so centrals need to do something surely this time with this set yes strong carry straight up the middle and that's a Char to Central Tigers just trying to see what number that was yeah I'm pretty sure that was number eight Jenna p King a successful conversion there by sari Ericson for centrals takes the score to berdick and 10 Central six so yeah centrals have cled themselves back into this game but on the back of three consecutive sets so so it's a warm day here in tan surviv was the bird can I'd keep moving that ball around and moving those big centrals girls around and uh trying to take advantage of that the head guard as we see centrals bouncing back here now gav nice strong carry there from Jordi mahenra potentials working out of their own half here just short of the 50 m line getting a bit of momentum there a Jordy mahenra offloads goes to gadgy M Macky neok there Talia backo nice strong carry there gets six more for a team very experienced player Brandy yop the Young Gun steps off a Right comes back in the inside now Central tigers on the attack here 20 M out to the left of the uprights sari Erikson takes a strong carry in through the middle there brought inita Peters dummy half gets out and plays nice little ball there from the look forward from Samara luta might be held up here or just short Central tar is still in the attack and they have scored Central tar is the bounce back with back toback to here and the scor is number seven Jerell Allen Martin Savage diving under very loose to mark of their have and have bounced back with back-to-back tries yeah it's probably something the girls game sort of needs to work on that area right really close to the line when girls get tackled they've really got to learn to defend that area around the around the play the ball cuz it's a very easy way to give away points just um do half picking up and plunking on out line which you see quite regularly so but well done to centrals they got themselves down the ground got themselves position to score and um it's a 1010 game with kick to come so Central are certainly clar on their way back I think um just watching those the B girls there some of those big girls get rolling now that they've had some possession starting to back away a little bit bit hesitant to get in there and make some tackles and I think that's that's showing with centrals marching down the ground so far as the uh the bian coach i' be encouraging those girls to get a bit of line speed and really hooking to those big girls and try and slow down that momentum because I think that's what's changed the game and the conversion was successful Again by centrals number yep number 14 sari Erikson so the score now centrals 12 verin 10 bir kicked off again here and uh Central on the carry up through the middle good run Good carry middle of the field just about on the halfway line on tackle two Samara lud plays out the back good ball play by centrals out to the left hand side and Brandy yop is tackled there on the 40 great run by the backr great footwork by number 11 tackle four and centrals are 15 me from the tri line well error there but Central still remain possession this must be the last tackle it's Fifth and last good kick good kick by centrals berin fielded field a play just kept in the field of play and berin have got possession yeah Cari kick there from Hal luta there to number six um centrals really buil building now some strong runs on the left edge here from Taisha tap and Savage she was very strong here busting through the hole in space there a good kick and Chase like I said from Maha Luda there from Cel tigers and they forced an error in defense here they've really muscled up they're starting to gather momentum the central Tigers ladies and they will get the scrum feed here they should do another opportunity so they lead 12 points to 10 at the moment we're about 6 and 1/2 minutes out from halime here in the rltd women's prelim final between the beran roosters and Central tigers as the West Lions await for the winner next weekend once again shout out to all the rltd board chairman Roger white and all his points to 10 lead yeah good work from Central there it's good work from dummy half turn Jordy Mahendra underneath there straight under the post Jordy with a bit of speed very hard to stop so um well down good positioning she she got the ball down so as I said I think at the start that's their strength their middles and I think if they keep playing the way are the way they are now they can keep rolling on the game but ver can just needs to be a little bit more resilient in defense and get off that line they're sort of sitting on their heels a little bit there they need to get up in those big girls faces and make some tackles and make them earn those tries because they're they're pretty soft and pretty easy at the moment but well done centrals kick still to come from sari Erikson she's three for three so far oh oh she's hit the right up right there from in front the score remains 16 centrals birin 10 four minutes remaining in this first half gav very important here for the Beric and roosters they don't leak any more points now going into halftime um centrals had a lot of momentum the last 10 minutes they've had Fair bit of field position as well so I'm sure coach Beck Peterson would have got a message out there to make sure they complete this set after points and get on the back of a good kick Chase as well so big four minutes crucial part of the game coming up yeah thanks K it's it's about possession and errors and I think they've made ver could have made two or three errors in a row which haven't let them complete their sets and get to their kick so they've been Their Own Worst Enemy when it comes to that but centrals will certainly get a ra on through their bigger girls and seem to be going down this left Edge at the moment which it's probably advised from their coach like do she see something down this left Edge but ber just going to keep putting the pressure on and get off the line I think you can see there if you're watching they're just sitting on their line a little bit they need to get up hard and really put some pressure on those big girls Samar lud with the ball there very strong ball Runner H break down the right hand side kick bir can have CED we approached halim gav put your coach's head on what would you be addressing the Beric and roosters with uh I think they've just uh been shocked at the central Central's got possession and scored I think three consecutive sets pretty much like the boin did at the start of the game and I think they've just lost their Mojo a little bit they uh their line speed was really poor defensively the last couple of sets so the either feeling the fatigue of tackling those big girls or um the heat with something's going on but the kicking again early and the Chas is on down the wing there well fed by Brandy Y and she's tackled there on the sideline 4 seconds to go last play the ball last tackle there 30 m out and that's half time uh good half of 40 little bit biik started strong centrals came back best start as we see gadji Macky neok there thought she was going to take a quick tap but hands the ball off to Jerell Alan Martin Savage she'll take the tap and look for gadji herself she's been very good on the right Edge she's a classy young back rower she'll play the ball back to Nikita Peters gone in the dummy half there nice little tip on there from Steven to Jordi Mahendra she's opened them Samar Luda had a hands on the ball probably two or three times in that one set there from that penalty from the kickoff great player and uh knows how to move around the field and put ourselves in the right position so well done to Samar Luda um yeah certainly they've come out with some Vigor centrals in the second half so if they keep rolling down the middle as they predicted I think well early call but they could get away with this one camera but we'll see how it goes so we'll see just waiting on the kick there Jana Williams kicks and falls short under the post score remains centrals 20 bird and 10 so I think bir could need to uh just muscle up here and not let um Force centrals at least get to a kick so that they can get some possession and uh try and use their speed and tie these centrals girls out because they're on a roll now centrals and they're going to be hard to stop big shout out out there to the centrals trainer one of the best Greg sleepy slay running the water and which she does picks up back show they're working well two ladies through the middle there Peter's a dummy half goes Mahendra gading their mark back to Mahendra to Martin Savage beautiful little short ball and Ricky Lee Parton just pulled down a tremendous tackle there from Tony Daisy Martin Savage turns back Jordi Mahendra once again we've seen this play before early on underneath the post Jordi Mahendra scores her second try for the centrals Tigers they race out the 2410 starting to look ominous now gav yeah they just keep rolling down the middle don't they and Samar lud's got a lot to say out there she organizes the side well and they're going coast to coast and uh it's Once you turn her underneath Jordy Mahendra that close to the line she's almost impossible to stop so berin just needs some possession here and and and stop him scoring and try and get themselves back into the game it's it's only 14 points and we saw we've seen a lot of points scored in the first half so there's no reason why the birin can't come back but they just need some possession and uh little little bit of self-belief and I think a little probably a little bit more effort on their behalf as well it's uh doesn't take Talent OR skill everybody's got effort in them and I think that's what they need to to draw on now to get back into the game gav I wonder if Jordy and Jeremiah talk about scoring tries at home they have a little compet position what do you Reon surely it's got to be on the cards oh they'd have to wouldn't you think it'd be interesting sitting there on being a fly on the wall while they're watching games and their opinions on who's doing what they both play the same position and um they both played at uh high levels of football Jordy playing at the gold stars and obviously Jeremiah playing for Queensland and the Cowboys so yeah be an certainly an interesting household at the um at the Nan to see what the what they think about their football but they both enjoy it and both great people so good for rugby league from North Queens both locals so from can's actually I think both both of them yep so um good to see they come down and playing footy and enjoying themselves school swe out so there you go so uh yeah the message for vertic Coach is going to be here but the body linguage is not looking real positive if I'm looking out Cameron so they need to get back into it and try to get possession I'd have a crack at the sideline which they kind of have well done well done bird can that got possession 30 m out right on the scrum La great hands there from T Monday there off the kickoff beautiful hands see ber can Ro is back on attack now Abby King gets out dummy half already scored today the first try of the game very elusive around the rock Riley C marker d half goes to the moina great up and coming young lady in the rugby league circles go down the left EDS see Mark dummy in and weaving goes to Tony Davey she's been great Tony Daisy there's a little head Clash there might be a hi here oh she's back to a fe is okay okay Nikita Peters referee acting to play the ball again Abby King at dummy half shows and goes herself probes backing in the Trine met by some solid defense she SC the central Tigers offside there I think or might have been a two and one strip again then penalized a fair bit during the game the central SCS for the stripping G this probably it needs to be better there I'm sure be Peterson would have addressed it they go there to number 18 and margio rock met by some big defense there look like Talia backo there from Essentials Tigers big opportunity for the Beric and roosters to bounce back here they need to be next to score gav yeah they do coming in it's um credit to the centrals there defending their own line there's nothing uh getting off the line nice and square nice and fast and that's just putting pressure on the veric and and and under they're panicking with what they're going to do with their attacking shape and what they're going to uh how they're going to play so censers are doing a good job there defending their line to see if they can hold it out but certainly berdick can need to score this set to keep themselves alive in the game Abby King passes to the right to the number 12 there with the head gear on just short of the line 2 meters out left hand side of the post plenty of shouts to the right hand side they go out to the right there bit of a wraparound not much happening not many players in movement bird could need to get the ball moving and get players moving to get some shape and get these Central girls out of whack good defense Central shutting them down centrals are just getting up nice and hard and giving Bera no time to make good decisions a try in the corner yep good try in the corner there to the bicin they finally cracked with a little bit of ball movement she stood up in the tackle and got the offload which I know good shift to the left took in the line straightened up good try beat two or three Defenders scored there just in the corner so well done the ber and that's the try they needed to get themselves back in the game if she kicks this I think it's game oncoming yeah absolutely a huge kick here for Tiana cruzell but she has been striking nicely gav I've been pretty impressed actually B the full back rollers in this game for centrals you got number 11 tiisha tap and Savage and gagy Macky namok in and 12 for centrals they've been very good on the edges you also see Jordi Mahendra playing on the edge as well number 15 Jersey then with the berin girls you got Telicia booger Al on the left Edge and Theo the pillow Mosby ner on number 12 so yeah they've been really good the mbona from up in the torist St big shout out to all the family I know they're all watching up there so thank you thank you very much for tuning in conversion unsuccessful so the score remains 2414 gav 20 minutes remain in this game yeah game still on um it's good to see I'm looking at Young Lily Chapel there she's playing at lock there for the bi and she's only 17 years old so she's uh eligible for Blackhawks this year which um I'll be coaching the under 19s blackw this year so I'm hoping that she's one of the girls that come in that we'll invite in for sure for an opportunity to train and trial and see how she goes but she's for 17y old uh playing lock in the open women she's doing a good job so well done to Lily Chapel right centrals to kick off ber can get some more possession again here and score another try they're certainly back in the game and um I think if they stick to moving the ball around and back themselves Good carry Theo only knows one way and that's straighten hard AR the just short of the 40 on her car the kick return so good job come down this left hand side again great ball Abby King the center to the fullback still go still going pull down 20 M short she's lost one-on-one strip Brandy yop 20 M out could be a game changer that play Central's just working out now 30 m out just a couple of strong carries from the girl big girls now and they'll get themselves ready for a kick to a corner and try and defend a set good push from number 10 from centrals I think that's been a difference there cot a lot of push from those big gos from centrals around the middle there is really thrown off the veric and defense and not quite sure what's happening but uh they're doing a good job at it just as important to work off the ball with than when you've got the ball so they're doing a good job the central SCS in the middle here we go number 10 B carry that's the fourth tackle the 30 MERS out inside ball from Jerel to number eight she's punching straight down the middle someone's got to bring her down I think ber could complain they're probably a little bit the slow um slow start to the game for Central Tigers they've really stiffened up this defense and they' been very aggressive and really outmuscled them yeah exactly camon I I expected that after the first loss of the season last week that they'd come out far and and I think they got a bit of a bit of a shock with ber put on the first two tries but as I said ber a very quick side and and um C's probably coming out a little bit sluggish but once they get into their groove with their bigger G play through the middle they they're very very hard to stop and um have got ball movement so so they're doing a good job there def especially defensively even now with only eight minutes to go on a warm day the line speed is is really good error there at dummy half a bit of momentum in the next weekend's Grand Final yeah for sure I think um they've stuck to the game plan I think it was like I said go through the middle and they've done that and it's going to work for them although Western Lions play very similar with with a lot of the bigger girls through the middle so be an interesting Clash uh next week but B can just got to hang in there and with a bit of Pride now and trying to keep Central from scoring again but Central are doing a good job they've uh still got to push support and still got plenty of girls willing to carry the football around the field oh it's throwing out the back and hit the deck but it's gone backwards so Central still maintain possession just over the 40 in their own end on t Tre so good push there three or four girls still pushing with only three minutes to go so good footage from the centralist girls oh it's Fifth and last the option here look so they G through the hands oh poor was s set there actually from
