it's it's great to be with you when we have something good to talk about for a change uh the debate last night was so affirming for those of us who've been in this fight uh for years now and I think when vice president Harris made those comments about Donald's rallies she inflicted a narcissistic wound from which he will never recover it literally is going to determine how he handles the next 50 days or however many days there are until the election he's going to be reacting to that from now on it it was a beautiful thing to see uh vice president Harris threaded so many needles with Brilliance with surgical Precision she went after his weaknesses as a leader his failures as a human being and probably next to the rally sizes the most important thing to him his complete failures as a trust fund baby and she was absolutely accurate Donald didn't inherit 43 million he was gifted and quote unquote loaned that much money while my grandfather was still alive and then on top of that he inherited another $250 million so she had his number and the way he reacted to her the way he was incapable of looking at her uh was an perfect indication of the turmoil he was experiencing and the humiliation he will never get over yeah okay take me into that because I was I was watching his choice um and with him I I don't know if it's a choice I don't even know if he's conscious enough to make a choice uh but anyone else in that situation knows hey the camera's going to be on me all the time when I'm speaking and there's going to be the reaction shot whenever I'm not speaking I've got to think about my reaction shot and what I'm giving them on that uh Comm Harris was car Harris was just human she did what a human would do the other person speaks she turns and listens to the other person speaking he gave us the mugshot face like it was frozen on there the entire time was he even aware of what he was doing or did he think yes this is this is what I need to show them in this moment well first of all I think referring to it as mugshot face is perfect uh and secondly Donald has no self-awareness he's only able to think about what he thinks he's projecting so he thought look at him there he's right now thinking he looks tough he looks mean he looks like a killer uh and that is not at all how he comes across he looks weak he looks afraid and as you mentioned he could not even face her that's how she dominated him from the moment she crossed the stage and forced him to shake her hand tell me about the handshake because I'm watching his movements and I'm I'm watching him trying to you can see he's trying to get away is there some way he can get away uh what's he thinking there well I think he was trying to set the tone and yeah he's shuffling in thinking if I take long enough to get to the lecturn she'll just make the same move and go to her lecturn he was not anticipating that she would walk over to him no way and I have to be completely honest with you part of me did not want her to shake his head not for tactical reasons I think it was a brilliant tactical move because again it set the tone on her terms I just didn't want her to have to touch him yeah I I mean I was thinking the same thing I was I there was a lot of suspense for me about would she shake his hand and when I and I saw it either way uh but then when I saw her choice on okay she's way smarter than I am that's exactly what to do and I would not have suggested it neither would I because again I I have been torn about this since before the debate with President Biden not because I I was precient at all um I didn't want President Biden to debate Donald not because I knew it was going to happen but because I didn't think Donald Trump deserved to be on that debate stage with the president of the United States he is as KLA Harris said a disgrace he does not deserve to have any respect afforded to him I felt the same way last night however she didn't have a choice there was way too much upside for her we know what Donald Trump's ceiling is we do not know what uh vice president Harris's ceiling is and she showed us last night that it's much much higher than anybody well not anybody you knew this I knew this a few other people knew this but a lot of people did not know just how high that ceiling probably is so uh KL Harris obviously reached into your professional realm psychology with some of the choices she made there talking about his crowd size which we know what that is with him that's everything with him uh how how would you grade K Harris on on how she used psychological Tools in that debate A+ I seriously I I listened to every word I've since rewatched many of the clips I'm not saying this is a partisan I'm saying this as somebody who understands Donald Trump in a fairly deep way and is somebody who knows what makes him tick and the reason I think the debate was so successful was yes because she dominated him in a way nobody else actually has been in a position to she took full advantage of that it needed to be a situation that he couldn't control it needed to be in a context that kind of hemped him in and again I cannot think of anybody who would be able to do a better job than she did but she also created the kind of contrast you were speaking to earlier she came across not just as brilliant knowledgeable and uh completely capable of taking over on day one she came across as an empathetic kind human being who listens the kind of leader most of us have been craving for the last nine years and she showed Donald Trump to be a broken human being well he is human uh but just not a successful one think about it this way for his entire life Donald Trump has existed on a very narrow band of the Continuum of human motion he's trapped in grievance rage and fear of humiliation and for almost 9 years years he's forced most of us to exist there with him she opened the door to the dungeon and showed us that we can exist in the sunshine again and that was one of the most powerful things I've ever experienced just brilliantly put uh as only you could uh Mary Trump I am so sorry we've we've jammed ourselves out of time here I wanted to talk about your new book uh who could ever love you this is your second volume now about growing up Trump uh and what we might [Applause] learn just because C just because foxer there to wipe your backside doesn't mean anything in the real world the significance of Fox News which is a just a business model for putting out conspiracy theories liars and Bs no wonder Trump feels at home in the real world uh it's kind of insignificant but it's fun to watch cuz they're losing the plot this was classic president Trump uh performance uh in the case of Cel Harris most people didn't know her terribly well other than a few clips that that were not flattering that you might see on the internet and people saw oh actually she's an intelligent capable person who has a point of view on issues and she uh she demonstrated that time and again um who won the debate last night oh well kamla definitely won the debate there's no there's no question about that his concept of a plan on healthc care he said you'll be hearing about it in the not too distant future when are we going to be hearing about that concept of a plan well as he said in the not too distant future and president Trump's healthare plan can be summarized best by but I don't have a date for you this morning John but I'll definitely get back to you with one as soon as I can uh how did Vice what type of impression did Vice President Harris make on you tonight as a McCain Republican with members of the McCain family now endorsing yeah vice president haris Bobby McCain came in and said it would be a disaster for the country if uh Trump got back into office and his brother did too and so it's just I mean I think there's a clear line that there are people who understand the importance of this election and there's people who want to just play you know keyboard Warriors and making a fuss and and really saying heinous things about other people and so that's Trump bully and I think KLA Harris came out showing some decorum and some presidential nature about I think we're the door's a little bit open speaking um stay with us if you would let's listen and no we're looking at it but you know when you win you don't really necessarily have to do it a second time so we'll see but we had a uh I thought we had a great debate L thank you very much what we need to change for you to agree to a second debate would you want different rules would you want a different format well you know when you when you win it's like a fighter when a fighter has a bad fight gets knocked out or loses the fight the first thing he says is we want a rematch so we won the debate according to every poll every single poll I think that uh are we going to do a rematch I just don't know we'll think about it would you still do the one on NBC on September 25th you You' propose that are you still committed to that I I would do NBC i' do fox too I do fox too but right now we have to determine whether or not we even want to do we had a great night last night and you see by the Paul members it was really fantastic thank you very much everybody KLA Harris Let's Have a good debate Donald Trump was fired by 81 million people so let's be clear about that and clearly he is having a very difficult time processing that world leaders are laughing at Donald Trump I have talked with military leaders some of whom worked with you and they say you're a disgrace it's important to remind the former president you're not running against Joe Biden you're running against me the alliances we have around the world are dependent on our ability to look out for our friends and not favor our enemies because you adore strong men instead of caring about democracy I'm going to actually do something really unusual and I'm going to invite you to attend one of Donald Trump's rallies cuz it's a really interesting thing to watch you will see during the course of his rallies he talks about fictional characters like cannibal Lector he will talk about windmills cause cancer and what you will also notice is that people start leaving his rallies early out of exhaustion and boredom and I will tell you the one thing you will not hear him talk about is you I absolutely support reinstating the protections of roie Wade and as you rightly mentioned nowhere in America is a woman carrying a pregnancy to term and and and asking for an abortion that is not happening it's insulting to the women of America and understand what has been happening under Donald Trump's abortion banss couples who pray and and and and dream of having a family are being denied IVF treatments what is happening in our country working people working women who are working one or two jobs who can barely afford child care as it is have to travel to another state to get on a plane sitting next to strangers to go and get the health care she needs barely can afford to do it and what you are putting her through is unconscionable and the people of America have not the majority of Americans believe in a woman's right to make decisions about her own body and that is why in every state where this issue has been on the ballot in red and blue States both the people of America have voted for for Freedom let's remember that when it came to the proud boys a militia the president said the former president said stand back and stand by so for everyone watching who remembers what January 6th was I say we don't have to go back let's not go back we're not going back it's time to turn the page and if that was a bridge too far for you well there is a place in our campaign for you to stand for country to stand for our democracy to stand for rule of law I mean honestly I think it's a a tragedy that we have um someone who wants to be president who has consistently over the course of his career attempted to use race to divide the American people you know I do believe that the vast majority of us know that we have so much more in common than what separates us and we don't want this kind of approach that is just constantly trying to divide us and especially by race and let's remember how Donald Trump started he was a a a a land he owned land he owned buildings and he he was investigated because he refused to rent property to black families let's remember this is the same individual who took out a full page ad in the New York Times calling calling for the execution of five young black and Latino boys who were innocent the Central Park 5 took out a full page ad calling for their execution this is the same individual who spread bir or lies about the first black president of the United States and I think the American people want better than that want better than this so I think you've heard tonight two very different Visions for our country one that is focused on the future and the other that is focused on the past and an attempt to take us backward but we're not going back
