sad news tonight San Diego Padres Hall of Famer Nate Colbert has passed away at the age of 76. I obviously did not get the chance to watch him play uh but I've read a lot about him and I've read a lot about that great double header day that he had on um August 1st 1972 when he had five home runs his back wasn't feeling well but he was put in a lineup and drove in 13 runs in those two games and those home runs I believe were all off of different pitchers uh three-time All-Star with the Padres he was inducted into the Padres Hall of Fame in 1999 uh he was an All-Star in 1971 1972 1973 163 home runs with the San Diego Padres organization um let me know what your favorite Nate Colbert moments were if you had the opportunity and were blessed enough to get to watch him play baseball for the Padres obviously wish the best during this tough time for his family and for Padres fans who probably feel this more than you know the younger Padres fans do but Nate Colbert passes away age 76.
