in 2008 a hiker named Jordan was trekking along the Appalachian Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park known for its Scenic Beauty the trail can also be treacherous and remote Jordan had planned a solo hike and had taken all necessary precautions including informing friends of his route and expected return one evening as he set up camp in a secluded area he noticed strange unsettling sounds coming from the surrounding Woods the noises resembling distant indistinguishable voices and footsteps seemed to follow him as he moved around his campsite Jordan attributed the sounds to other hikers or Wildlife though he felt a growing sense of unease that night as he tried to sleep in his tent the noises intensified The Sounds grew louder and closer almost as if someone was deliberately trying to scare him the temperature dropped suddenly and an eerie fog
