cam how cool was it one your first catches of your Collegian career to get in the end zone what was that feeling like I can't even describe the feeling like everything happened so fast but it just it just happened so fast but it felt good though it felt great bunch of freshman scored tonight especially from that wide receiver's room how special do you think that unit for your class can truly be oh yeah the uh our unit could be very special we just got to keep stacking days and practice keep working uh just keep the one no mentality and just go to work every day in practice take me through that double move you had on that touchdown like just kind of kind of what you on you know being able to get open that easy yeah I saw the um well they had no safety so I was like oh yeah that's Bingo then they caught it and I looked I look me and Coach Heath look eye contact like it's go time then me and pton made eye contact it was Go Time so and then I seen it and I stuttered I seen him fall I was like oh yeah it's coming and I looked up and the ball I was wide open so I was like don't drop it don't drop it and then I caught it it feel like it took 30 seconds for the ball to get there two by five I felt like five I ain't going to lie cam was your first game everything you expected you know as a HomeTown kid do you have lots of friends and family here tonight I had a lot of family here tonight um I appreciate my family be able to come out and support me um but it was it was crazy like just atmosphere experience I a real Li really when I went out there start warming up and I seen the fans start feeling I was like oh that's about to get real about get real in here but it was it was definitely a good experience though for the offense to have this kind of night how much confidence does that give you guys going forward yeah it gives us a lot of confidence because we the work that we put on we put in all summer all uh all the work we've been putting this since January it really starting to show so we going keep one on mentality just keep working does nights like tonight in front of this crowd validate why you decided to to come to Auburn oh yeah absolutely uh it really the K style the fans the atmosphere the it really just all plays a big part why my CH I'm glad I'm glad I came here pton as a quarterback how much confidence and Faith do you have that he has the arm strength and the ability to get you guys the ball especially in Big Time situations oh yeah I have a lot I have a lot faith in Payton because the amount of reps and the countless amount of reps that we put in in offseason Prov and shows that he can get the ball to where it needs to be so I have a lot of faith in payon the last one I have Lambert Smith Gets In The End Zone twice he was saying he's been a really good Mentor for you guys what's it like working with him oh yeah working with kre he's really been the game a little bit longer than us so he tells us like what we need to do or like uh gives us tips tips to make our game a little bit better but it's really having him around him and Robert Lewis is really just a good it's really good uh a good addition to the receiver room thanks of talk in the preseason about you know passing game everybody want to see more from the for you guys to go out there in your first game and put up the amount of yards and touchdowns y through how good is that you know kind of after all the work yall put in here oh yeah it's definitely a blessing because um the work the amount of work we've all put in offseason we give all glory to God because we shine for we shine through him so it's really just a blessing that we all been putting in the work in off season and it's starting to show and it shows how how important was it to keep throwing the ball I mean they kept running the rpos instead of just they just hand the ball off kept running the offense how how important is that for young guys you and the other guys just to continue to run the offense oh yeah it's definitely important because defense that were playing they still stuff in the box so we had to throw the ball and then when we throw the ball we can make make big plays and you know plays in crucial moments so it really just really just a good thing this this as good a a start for you guys as you could have HED for oh yes sir better better than what we thought we was going to do um really just we got to keep working C
