were some things that I wish I could improve on to be completely honest with you Adam but felt good about my serve I felt good about how many times you slam your racket on the court I felt good about making you audibly yell you know what that we won't repeat on this show UNF familyfriendly comments and you know what in the end it was a lot of fun I thought you were going to have somewhat of a good time but in the end I kind of understood when you were like I was super disappointed I was super disappointed but we had like 28,000 people watch that video watch the stream which is insane that was the insane part that it actually got to that number at one point it was 18,000 which was absurd um and my it just never expected that many people to care about this but you know it was a good time Adam and in the end I thought you played pretty well I really did I think the difference was you're you need to get a little bit more power on your Strokes come with time and it was hard for me to generate Pace off of your pace a lot of people are talking about I didn't hit with that much Pace those people have to understand in tennis you need Pace to generate Pace unless you're a really good player and I'm definitely not that you're pretty good all right let's take a look at some let's take a look at one of the highlights here so it looks as if all right go ahead sorry boom racket on the ground oh man this was such a bad shot like this was me trying to kind of go for it a little bit with like a Down the Line winner and I just yeah SL espe with the serve that's SP into your body you it's the team I'm buying into the most um I have rice on an absurd amount of roster I think he's my most roster player of this fantasy season Dam Xavier worthy though his price is a little up now so now I uh gravitate toward Hollywood Brown roster all three of them big Pacho I rostered more at the beginning of the Season his price deck has gone up and Mahomes is the quarterback bending up I think Mahomes is going 5,000 this year and I think he's going 40 plus TD so I'm in Alex in Chicago Jamie if you're if you're there is picking third in a two wide receiver PPR league would you rather he's gonna take Lam or Hill would you rather have Debo or cup to pair with them uh Debo 100% Deo even with the auk news yeah I I I'm still somewhat out on Deebo Samuel vs Cooper Kupp auk um I'm glad he signed I'm glad it's done deal but uh I still think it's going to be a huge huge huge year for all right well we're going to say so by the time most people listen to this they'll already have heard Jim's reaction on Friday morning show to the auk stuff so we're not going to really react to that Dave and I just did a bonus pod that you can hear or watch uh this is from Den I've been doing mock catty Shack uh all right I've been doing mock drafts lately and when I'm drafting at the8 N1 spots I find myself debating between taking Jonathan Taylor or a receiver like St Brown AJ brown or Garrett Wilson I like to try to get a good running back early I've been hearing that Taylor has number one running back upside if he stays he um okay I'm just going to say this Dan if if Aman R st Brown is there it's not even a question we're taking Aman R st brown but I'll let Dan and uh and Jamie tell you about Jonathan Taylor versus AJ Jonathan Taylor over Garrett Wilson and AJ Brown? brown or Garrett Wilson yeah I mean there's not too many scenarios where I'd be taking Jonathan Taylor over Garrett Wilson or AJ Brown I just think the targets are there for both Garrett Wilson and AJ Brown Garrett Wilson could be a massive touchdown getter with Aaron Rogers as we saw back in 2021 uh with Aaron Rogers and Devonte Adams and just throughout training camp slow start for Mike Williams he might play week one for the Jets I think he's probably trending toward it but snap count I would think for him he's expected to play now I expected to play probably not full role but maybe um either way I'm buying in on Wilson so I just think that's probably the cut off for me and then I can start considering running backs but I wouldn't take him over our of those two I think the thing you have to ask yourself is would you rather have AJ Brown and jir Gibbs Kiren Williams Isaiah Peko Travis etn that's start or would you rather have Jonathan Taylor and maybe Marvin Harrison probably the next group of guys you know so Adams Wadd Collins you know those those type of receivers like if you're gonna go running back receiver so London you know any one of those guys Jamie don't read one of the comments here you're going to lose it again it's about the end shirt but uh anyway um how do you rank them Jamie though how do you rank AJ Brown Garrett Wilson Jonathan Taylor in that order what about in half PPR in that order what about in non-ppr Taylor goes top four for me okay uh and then one more question here for now uh from Travis in Travis County Texas oh that's cool I'd love to be from Adam County hello Dan Jacob Scott and Chris who are they oh those feel like no I don't know they kind of feel Dan Jacob Scott and Chris kind of feel like Rangers pitchers they're all people on our staff but I don't think that's who he's referring to could be I mean could maybe I just just we don't really have anything in common though I don't think he wants to talk about how we discussed the top 17 running backs and how there's a pretty big drop from 17 to 18 we looked at a draft that we did recently where the number 17 running back went in the fourth round and then the number 18 running back went in the sixth round so we do see it that way uh he says why are you only taking one or two of the top 17 running backs shouldn't you continue to take them as long as they are on the board and then after you're done you can finish your draft taking only wide receivers until handcuff time so then he showed us a mock draft in a 12 team half PPR League two receivers with the 10th pick Jonathan tayl his first four picks were Jonathan Taylor jir Gibbs Ken Walker and Rashad White that's I mean yeah that's somewhat realistic I guess well I mean I just did this in a three receiver leag running backs I did an RDP league right what'd you get I took uh Bree Hall Jamir Gibbs and Josh Jacobs with my first three picks and then my receivers are Devonte Smith Amari Cooper and Christian Kirk right this is this is an analyst league so take that into account I think if you're doing it where receivers don't get pushed up so much and you're sort of setting the market that way now there's probably going to be more quarterbacks I was I was at an event today um in in dely beach and um some people were showing me their drafts and like you you know we we say it this this guy said to me he's like look at this draft board somebody took Josh Allen fifth overall you know and and those things happen you know so you're going to get quarterbacks earlier you're going to get it's not cross the board you know but you get quarterbacks earlier you're going to get the tight ends pushed you know where where we actually see Travis Kel's ADP in round two and you know Le Porto goes round three and so forth so if you do decide to to you know try that strategy of taking you know two of the top 17 running backs or in this case three of the top 17 running backs especially in a two receiver League you're going to be able to pull it off a lot a lot better A three receiver league is a little tougher yeah and I want to point out so so Jaime's first three picks again were were Hall Gibbs Josh Jacobs his receivers were Kirk Devonte Smith Amari Cooper Christian Kirk but then this is the other point that the emailer was making he likes we we like that group later you also have Jaden Reed and Jameson Williams so you know you can you can still have good receivers even if you try to take as many of those top 17 running backs four seems like a lot one of those going to be a bench player so I probably I don't know if I do that but three okay like you you made it work this because he has Malik Neighbors on this team he has Kyle pittz he has Deontay Johnson jsn he made it work different ways to do it for me I mean I play in a lot of leagues so I like to try different things to see how it works you know like obviously there are leagues that are a little bit more important to me not that I I I try any less and in less harder in in any of them but I like to try different strategies and and this just fell this way so at the time in round three it was like to me Josh Jacobs has become a second round pick so Gibbs is a borderline first- round pick like I wasn't passing up on these these players and I'm like okay let me see if I can make it happen Dan I need you to rank something for me I think you're gonna have a strong take on this I just had the following four uh fruits it's strawberries blackberries blueberries and raspberries rank them okay first of all are we talking ripe across the board because delicious Ranking Fruit yeah because that's that's the thing blueberries and raspberries are very they don't have a good ripe ratio like you get a lot of sour you get a lot of not ready so we're saying the best of of each of them correct yeah I think it was a terrific batch of fruit yeah terrific batch okay on so we got blueberries Ras strawberries and what blackberries blackberries I mean if you're getting a real good sweet ripe Blackberry that's going to be the one one for me now this is the thing most blackberries are sour and tardy and not that good and some are even like bitter they're so unripe to be completely honest with you so I'm just gonna say I don't really think this is a good question because you're not really telling it the right way but if we're going with the best of the best it's still going to be Blackberry one raspberry 2 blueberry 3 strawberry 4 but this is the best the best on a consistency basis you're better again strawberry is the it okay Fantasy Cops all right welcome back everybody it's time for the fantasy cops and this is a special edition of the fantasy cops if you have any commissioner issues League issues throughout the people in the league two people in the league one of them was a commissioner one of them I think was the commissioner's wife didn't get their Keepers in on time and uh the keeper deadline was last night two of our managers forgot to set their Keepers one of them gave the usual excuses the other manager is the commissioner it's a scandal wrapped up in a conflict of interest how do we resolve this potentially League altering Fiasco that's what Fresno Phil said today we get the rebuttal from someone in the league from Kevin Kevin says first of all love the show and hearing about our league in the segment on Saturday was the F thing to ever happen in the League's n-year history and thank you to Phil too I suppose however it should be noted that over the years our league has developed a catchphrase of sort a catchphrase of sorts which is used on a weekly basis during the regular season and that catchphrase is Phil sucks keep that in mind in response to Dan's comment that this is a horrible rule the worst I've ever heard the dumbest I've ever heard I think the rule was that if they didn't set their Keepers they were like out right or they were they couldn't they couldn't keep anybody oh they couldn't keep back I think I I think I referred to this commissioner as a menace to society and I stand by that statement and I stand by that statement yes of course it's terrible rule it's a joke like Phil said in his email we've threatened the punishment for years but we've never actually done it and we never will probably and somebody misses the deadline every single year the worst we've ever done because we thought it was funny was find a manager $20 to essentially buy back their Keepers the manager was fine with it and we used the money to add another bonus money week to the season so now now that commissioner number two and my wife have paid Their fines and retained their Keepers the real question for the fantasy cops is what should we do with the extra money in the league pot add another bonus money week or two buy something fun for the league donate to St Jude and PS Phil sucks I mean you know what we're gonna say we're gonna say donate to St Jude I think that's the easy one for us but if you've already done that let's assume you've already donated to our drafton cause another option I would lean toward is putting it toward a loser penalty whatever that may be the last place penalty oh I like that apparently according to one of our commenters menace to society was what you said about the new owner who immediately tried to start a coup okay I should we boot this manager who won the dynasty League sold his team out for the future and quit oh no I have a much better idea than that you don't boot him you leave him in the chat you berid him into some more emails here and help the people this is from Brad what are the Eagles going to do with brown and Smith Kell Moore produces Superstar receivers from the slot Brown will be in the slot I think he is wide receiver one upside if it's Devonte he could easily be a top 10 wide receiver like Keenan Allen last year I haven't heard how the Eagles plan to deploy them this year I mean I think they're going to move them around so they both get opportunities to play in in in the slot and obviously on the outside and the addition of Jan doson is going to also change some of those things and how they operate so it's why I like both you know I I I think AJ Brown's proven to have the higher ceiling in the two years that he's been there I don't know why anybody would would think differently and certainly know was drafting differently but I do think that as we've talked about and Adam you made a great comparison to Brandon iuk in San Francisco a year ago you know just in terms of all the hype that Devonte Smith has been getting that it's hard to overlook that he has the chance for a big year and and the you know correct me if I'm wrong but you were referencing DeVonta Smith Outlook that all the positive vibes that were coming out of San Francisco about auk that he was just dominating camp and he looks like he's set up for a big season it's been similar conversations in Philadelphia so um the thing that I love about Devonte Smith and Dan and I were kind of going back and forth about this a little bit in our salary cap Draft today um is that Devonte Smith's Floor is a wide receiver too whether it's top 15 top 20 you know he's he's got the opportunity to be in that range top 24 top 25 you know you want to extend it to the blob however you want to frame it we've seen in each of the last two years when some one has missed time and it's mostly been Dallas SCD he puts up top 10 numbers and that's the upside of why you buy into Damonte Smith that he's still going to be good you know 13 points per game has the chance to be 18 points per game you know and that's hard to pass up so he's cheap enough that you can look at it and say you don't have to draft him to uh you don't have to reach for him you know round four I think is kind of the sweet spot for him um but you know AJ Brown's still the alpha there and he proved that last year you know so the system's going to Ben both of them because they're going to throw more and I think they're just going to both get opportunities to be in different spots and move around and I'll say this I was actually the last bid against you in the Devonte Smith auction uh in the bidding and you won that for me obviously Jamie was taking a shot at me multiple times throughout that auction draft because of my B some of my purchases and after the draft and I will say this because look I'm very complimentary of Jamie at times I agree with him too much as told to me by Adam though I just think he gets the first word sometimes and I always use his rankings because I no offense to anybody else on the step I like all the rankings Jamie's the ones that align with mine the most with that said I really do think that was the worst I've ever seen Jamie draft since I've been a part of this staff that that salary cap draft we did he did the classic mistake of just not buying anyone until all the first and second tier of both running backs and receivers were gone and so he has like a massive depth team but I looked at it afterwards and boy oh boy and then I challenged Jamie to a side bet for most points crickets crickets no response I didn't hear an except I left the room at that point I didn't see it okay well now you have the opportunity will you accept most point oh sure absolutely okay done I I didn't even see what the rest of your team looked like doesn't matter when I said when I said uh I said the best part about this is is that I'm I agreed with you that I that I that I spent too much on single Terry by comparison to Joe Mixon because I just wanted to be done I didn't have I didn't just want to be done it was my last roster spot to to Phill right um yes I definitely waited too long I did that purposely but I definitely waited a little too long and there was a couple of times in that draft where I you know was waiting and to see what was gonna like I should have spent the extra couple dollars to get rashy rice for example or I should have spent an extra couple dollars to get or somebody else but um I wasn't actually making fun of you at the start of this because you the three of us were actually Sid texting about the draft even though Adam wasn't in there and you had said I can't believe how many people are spending this much money on on players and then you started to overspend on a couple guys I wasn't critiquing the players you were getting it just you overspend on a couple of them I did at some point at some point you have to adjust to every or every salary cap draft it's interesting because like it was the begin we had a lot of I don't want to say novice salary cap drafters but some wild cards we had some wild cards in the salary cap draft and they were just bidding up the top players so when that happens you get into a tough spot because everyone was overpriced to the top and you didn't really want to you you're always looking for Value but you need to get start you need to get some sort of Talent on your team I think because I've done what you've done before Jamie where I was just waiting for Value the whole time always ends up looking like your team where it's got dep but play I'm playing you guys off okay for got it on about this stft that you guys did today we can't check it out the results are going to be on the site tomorrow if you like auction drafts we're gonna have every bid every price buy position so you can use that for your auction I think you and I differ on what what talent is maybe well I I will say uh that I I think this idea that Kell Moore like will move a will make slot wide receivers amazing or so whatever it is I don't really know if framed the right way I just went back and I looked at I think Kell Moore has coached a lot of really talented wide receivers and he uses them in the slot okay that's kind of like you know he used Amari Cooper in the slot he used CD lamb in the slot obviously Keenan Allen was his best receiver last year and he's a slot receiver and he had a season so I think he's gonna use both of them in the slot and and it's gonna be beneficial all right this is from Elliot uh half team half uh PPR um oh this is the league with the psycho from last week's fantasy cops the Menace the society uh 10 team half PBR two receivers three Flex you've been talking about uh talking up running backs lately especially in two wide receiver half PPR leagues but does having three flexes change that yes for me yes uh I've made it clear and I'll make it clear again my strategy at least is I in any half or full PPR League I'm looking to fill my flexes with wide receivers and I'm always looking to fill them with wide receivers and I will go with the flex before I go with the tight end if I don't like the tight ends on the the board or quarterback because they're just as valuable as the quarterbacks and tight ends and a lot of people just kind of go formulaic ABC I call it ABC drafting where they're just look to fill out their starting positions I remember even Adam I gave you gave some advice the other day that me and you disag I told you I disagreed with which is like you take you said like take your quarterback or tight end by round six you specifically drafting 12th overall it gives you it gives you a great opportunity to get a great tight end and a great corner back this was advice specifically for picking there I don't think you have to take quarterback and your tight end before your bench receivers or anything like that but at that at the at the three four turn at the five six turn I think those really great spots for tight ends and quarterbacks so that was just what I but I will say this you might I'm sorry then if I misconvey that I will say this Adam you may have some AER stats on this but I'm almost positive that in half and full PPR leagues the flexes are better served with wide receivers over time and the wide receivers have outscored their running backs in those positions especially because you get to Dead Zone once you start trying of fill put running backs in those flexes guys who just turn into total bust set like entirely in my opinion just pure like volume based bets that we make in the preseason that don't end up getting the volume don't end getting touchdowns because their offenses suck like like for example like zamir white and ra Andre Stevenson two people I want nothing to do with this season because I think they're going to be on bottom three offenses with limited scoring opportunities and might get taken off the field at times like those guys I wouldn't want to put in my Flexes in a half or full PPR personally okay yeah I'm trying to find my research on that I looked at like the top 50 or 60 overall players that were not quarterbacks in each format and in half PPR it's pretty even between running backs receivers in full PPR it leans re okay let me make my point clear I wanna okay finish up because we really have to get to last point on this I think you could be right that it could be even but I think it's really hard to predict the running backs that are going to fit into that at this T time and we always end up overshooting guys that we expect to get volume that end up not getting volume any comments on three flexes no I I I agree with Dan I think the the funny part about this though is like once you fill your Flex spots you at least I would be okay if you're telling me like I I went here RB and then I'm still ending up with Stevenson or white in those positions at rb2 at that point yeah yeah yeah I can see what you're saying yeah yeah at well yeah I mean for me I'm just at completely out on zir way I think but if if you're doing that and they're available to you it means they've fallen so they example uh Jamie talks about this a lot and I I I kind of agree with him I some like if you never try a different strategy in any of your leagues and you use the same strategy every time you're never going to get to experience if there's another way to do things and another way to win so I tried a different strategy in the super Flex League I punted quote unquote on quarterback I did late round quarterback because I kind of agree with this listener like I was looking at the board and I'm like I could rush to get Tua or whoever Lawrence as my qb2 as everybody scrambles to Phil QB spots or I could wait and I'm not so sure I guaranteed I I feel the definite difference between the Gino tier of quarterbacks and that second tier of quarterbacks and I think you know Rich rebar did a great job breaking this down and so is J JJ Zack orison but you're just as likely to make a bet like that backend quarterback one borderline quarterback one quarterback two has not been good bets historically those guys have been not from 0p standpoint have not been good bats they've been just as good bets as the guys who are way down the board yes they have that quarterback there's always one Breakout always won breakout but historically they have not been great bets um and typically the pocket passers typically the pocket passers right okay so that'd be like perie and Tua that be like Tua perie Lawrence um I don't know man like Tom Brady was there a few years ago um I know there's gonna be some out there's gonna be some outl almost every single year I mean where was Dak Prescott being drafted last year you know right I mean look there's GNA be Gord love Brock P they were I'll say this just from trying the strategy out I don't love what happened at my qb2 spot and obviously Kirk C is not the best qb1 but I feel like this is a wild roster Aman rossin Brown bejan Robinson Cooper cup Josh Jacobs that's insane big four Rashid rice who I think is the most Miss price player in all of fantasy at this point just because the ADP is still weighing in there and I can't see who those Jameson Williams is one of those next picks I cannot read that is such small find for deont Johnson is that who that is it could be it could be Deontay Johnson is my wide receiver three Jameson is my wide receiver four it's deont it's deont I mean that team anyone can see like anyone who could see that that's ridiculous that you can't read that's a troubling that you can't read that Austin Heckler Gus Edwards and Tyrone Tracy I mean this team looks pretty good besides the quarterbacks we'll see if it can work out though I don't know to answer the listeners question though I'm good with like a hero quarterback strategy I wouldn't want to punt like I did in this uh example I think the way to the way that I would approach it is if you're picking early and you see here the first five picks were quarterbacks I think it's in your best interest to take one of the top four I don't know if you need to go you know one through five but one of the top four because they're they feel like they're just difference makers at that position which is why they're being drafted in the way that they are in one quarterback leagues and just an easy you know player to grab at that spot I think if you're in the back end of the first round the middle kind of you know is is more similar to what I'm about say but in the back end of the first round you can take more of a hero hero QB approach uh who was picking next to you was RJ oh RJ yeah and and I like kind of what RJ did from a quarterback perspective because he still has you know forget about who the players are but two three four five six are running backs and receivers and then he goes back to back with quarterbacks and so you know Sam darnold B Nicks they're not great but he's got Anthony Richardson and those two guys and still the ability to stockpile quarterbacks excuse me wide receivers and running backs so like if you had taken and and look you'd be passing on one of them uh am R st Brown or or be Robinson which seems crazy but if you had gone quarterback there or maybe even in round three you know then you have a little bit more stability I think with your roster so like if you were to say you're you're you're taking Stafford who again you know not the best but best on the board I think at that point um and cousins and then you come back and get Russell Wilson like that's a I think just a more sound roster D I gotta move it along here I just want to point out this happens a lot in superflex leagues round one had seven quarterback backs round two had four quarterbacks round three had five quarterbacks rounds four and five had one quarterback combined so if you are wanting to wait at quarterback just understand that after you're get like after you get past probably the Jared G Trevor Lawrence that range it's not gonna be the same guys every time there is often a little bit of a lull well where people say okay I'm not like I'm not taking Gino Smith now I'm gonna wait so you can take advantage of that Jamie we have to go to break but give me one minute maximum on I'm sorry it's a short change our emailer who wanted more please listen to our formats episode Non-PPR Advice from a couple of weeks ago non PPR advice for Cheryl non PPR should be a little bit more leaning into running backs as opposed to receivers so where we tell you you know you want to get receivers and I think you know Dan probably agree with this in Flex spots in those formats in non PPR running backs are certainly going to be more dominant because they have the ability to get more touchdown potential and their touches are huge where they're not getting you know penalized for not catching the ball so Derrick Henry gets bumped bumped up um Edwards gets bumped up you know you get the point you know the guys that aren't going to be heavily involved in receptions the guys like Amar like um Alvin Kamar get bumped down so uh much more heavy running back first round first couple rounds and then the top tier receivers get pushed down just a little bit okay yeah you're gonna see a lot of running and the receivers you should probably focus more on receivers that you think have a better chance of scoring touchdowns I my one my one take would be that I would say it's even more important to buy players in the highest scoring offenses in non PPR leagues yeah that's a great Point yeah it's yeah that'll just leave it at that okay and then of course the question everybody wants answering to that we'll we'll have to know why do we not hear more stats or cases being made for running backs especially good ones cough cough Jacob's cough cough look over here golf uh that have to deal with inefficient offensive line metrics bad Impact of Offensive Line on Fantasy quarterbacks defensive front face metrics are usually some combination of all of these I don't really know that Jacobs is the best example but football is mostly one of the Tren trenches we're constantly seeing offenses shift from good to bad year-over-year I'd love to hear more of these types of conversations within the fantasy Community we try to F I think we try to talk offensive line a decent amount on the show no I I mean I I think we do we could probably do more but so the there's there's two that come to mind I think one could be a little bit worse and one that could be a little bit better the Dolphins scares me a little bit you know because of the guys that they lost and you know you're asking Tron Armstead to you know stay healthy which he never does and like we're putting a lot of stock in Devon Anan we're putting a lot of stock still in rahee moer put a lot of stock in in Tyreek Hill and and and Wadd and Tua and from the passing game perspective I'm I'm generally okay with it because I trust Mike McDaniel you know and he's kind of been so good at you know dealing with some of these changes with Armstead for example missing time and and managing through that and so I don't think it's one you run away from but it's certainly one that could you know just looking at atan for example who led the NFL in in yards per carry and most led the NFL in total touchdowns and certainly rushing touchdowns you know how much of that from an efficiency standpoint comes back to a little bit closer to the mean and then we're reaching certainly for aan you know with the hope of him just making all these big plays in a shared situation where he's not even the starter and then the other one would be ten where we know that Derrick Henry's gone and so the you know I don't know the best running back in in the league the last few years but certainly one of the best who's coming off year with his lowest yards per carry and lowest yards per contact yards after contact and now they're replacing him with these two guys plus better offensive lineman plus arguably the best offensive line coach in the league and how much of that is just going to make these guys so much better and so like you know Pard who was disappointment last year could be in a better spot potentially you know and that's saying something and Spears could be just that much more enhanced so yeah I think you look at offensive line play and you look at the the circumstances and and obviously those things matter sure and I think from the other end of the spectrum unless the team has a terrible offensive line I'm not that concerned about it I'm looking though at the at pff's offensive line rankings uh for 2024 their preseason rankings you're the bottom five Saints Seahawks yep I don't agree with that I mean the Seahawks oh yeah no no Seahawks offensive line was horrible last year because their two tackles were hurt yeah but those guys have been injured a lot they also lost Damen Lewis from their interior offensive line we went with Carolina that's a big issue it's Tennessee could get better Giants who knows and the Patriots Yeah that's that one should be really this is their projected offensive line ranking projected and they have Baltimore's 25th by the way Baltimore's falling apart a little on the offensive line they lost zitler they lost the kid who went the guy who went to the Jets Morgan Moses yeah they lost no not Morgan Moses the interior guy who went to the Jets uh the guard who's playing right guard for the Jets or left guard for the Jets I'm blanking on his name but he's a good player who's been a good player uh not Powers I'm not exactly sure who it was but they lost an interior guy there too uh yeah the Jets do have Morgan Moses let me see uh John Simpson Simpson correct okay okay uh yeah I don't know it's worth checking out the the 2020 I feel like game script plays a bigger role though to me than the offensive line to defensive line I agree with the general consensus that the game is one in the trenches the NFL But ultimately game scra like touchdowns is how we win in fantasy football from uh oh I greatly overvalues russan quarterbacks I believe the sixo helps even the field between rushing quarterbacks and pocket passers Jamie what do you think make it five no I keep it at six I completely I mean I would keep it at six but if if you don't want to you know skew one way or the other completely just make it five what are you doing who me Dan I you know I had an itch and instead of going like this on the middle of a show I tried to itch it like this all right this is from Alex M I'm in a high stakes 12 team PPR League where no one likes to trade and everyone hoardes running backs two running backs two receiver One Flex league and I'm Hero-RB Strategy picking fourth I've been going hero RB and I like the RBS in the second round more than the wide receivers I also think Bree Hall and bejan Robinson need to be the pick in round one should I go wide receiver in round one which would be Jefferson St brown or chase and go Pacho Henry or Kiren in round two or go Bree or beon in round one and then take London or olve in round two or double up on running back if P was there ding ding ding I like going with the hero running back in the round one I think those big three are just massive advantage over the rest of the crew I me look those are the three that I project will have a massive role in the passing game and that's why I think they deserve now you could say the same about J what you do round two though let's if you take no no I'm going London or live I would never go running back running back but see here's the problem with that though you gotta love the Falcons you have to love the Falcons like to go be I see what you're saying no no I'm looking for Bree but you're right you could get stuck with beon and that's that's that's the thing it's like if you're you you you got you can go la it's fine you know you can go Debo you can go I know you would go cup you know you you can you know take a a chance on any of those guys that are in that group but it's tough to you know look at it and say I know this happened to me a few times we're like I'll take Bean I'm like that's my next favorite receiver the other part of this though is like it I understand there's a difference and and believe me I I'm I'm with with everybody that the three running backs that the two running backs not mcaffry in in bree Hall and beon the other pairing though because again there's uncertainty with London there's uncertainty with L there feels like there's a little bit more of we we can see the path a little bit clearer for Pacho for etn for Gibbs who's in this range now for Kiren if you're still you know in that in that camp Jacobs Jacobs deserves to be considered Jacobs for sure is in that camp um and so so this is this was the conversation that Todd and I had for our podcast League his 14 Team league so it's a little bit different was he did not want to go with one of the running backs because of the receivers now again 14 team leagues so we knew the group coming back there he wanted the certainty of the receiver and so and I was with him you know he wanted St Brown okay we're gonna take St Brown and the Hope was Peko now it didn't work out with us because Adam as you've noted a few times the running back run was pretty substantial in the first two rounds but we went with a guy that we were planning in round three instead of round two and it kind of just worked out that we ended up with Deo Samuel in round three but we took Ken Walker in round two you know so that was like RB 14 I think at that in that right you have to adjust to your draft we adjusted to our draft but our strategy was the same so it was we're taking receiver round one we're going hero RB and we're taking you know again the the the group of guys that we had talked about and just got the tail end of it and then we still got our Our receiver who can you can make a case as a round two receiver anyway um in round three Dan just question who do you like better just forgetting about your first round pick Pacho orve London uh now I would say it's ol slight Edge than London I I moved PCO down after the Sam Pine signing it might seem like a nothing Burger to some but I know that that guy can be trusted on third Downs he can be trusted in pass production and that scares me a little bit because I like Peko a lot because I felt like there was literally nothing behind him and he was gonna get a massive role what if kirn's there I am not not a Kiren drafter unfortunately to wrap this up we had an email earlier about somebody taking four running backs in the top 17 and still building out a good team Jaimie started with three running backs still built a good team if you're strong strong if you take Bree hall or bejan Robinson round one and you have a approach your drafts knowing you can smash on waiver pickups in season Heavy running back and Target waiver wire wide receivers heavy wide receiver and Target waiver wire running backs or prioritize drafting Elite onesie positions thanks it's always easier to find running backs than it is Elite receivers you know and and look last year we had puka who was a waiver wire ad in a lot of leagues you also had Kiren who was a waiver wire ad in a lot of leagues you know so I think just based on the nature of that position where you're going to see a lot of drafts where some late round picks are Tyron Tracy Tyrone Tracy and Maron Lloyd and Jake uh Jordan Mason and you know some of these guys that aren't gonna play but they're still getting drafted and then you're going to drop those guys for another running back or another receiver and then come week five week six you know those guys are getting picked up and I'll give you example and and again this was never picking on Dave it's just by the nature of what happened I believe he drafted Jerome Ford last last year dropped jome Ford after week one and then jome Ford became one of the more popular pickups for the season because of Nick chub's injury so you know the those things are going to happen and to find Elite wide receivers like you know we we talked about this uh earlier on um Thursday show I forget what dat is on Thursday show with Noah brown right he had those three monster weeks yeah everybody was buying into Noah Brown and he just disappeared you know so they going to be some times with these wide receivers pop up out of nowhere but to find the consistent ones I just don't think it's as realistic as the running backs wow I got I'm looking at a list right now of uh according to ugo.com the most popular fruits from Q2 of 2024 top top 50 top 45 listed here and raspberries are not even on the damn list good raspberry again we we have to understand a lot of the berries people eat are not good they're sour instead he ordered kahunas konus is that what it is I don't know you made it a fruit But but so he's like I'm gonna get the steamed broccoli the teriyaki chicken and brown rice I was like all right good for you white no wonder you're 132 lbs but me I got something called The Jersey short it was the most gluttonous sandwich I've ever ordered my life it was chicken cutlet fried raviolis mozzarella sauce or mozzarella cheese vodka sauce on a garlic basically garlic bread roll and I ate half of it wedge wedge I ate half of it and I was like oh I'll just I'm probably done here like I'm very full ended up eating the other half didn't end up taking it home ate all the fries it was a ravioli on the chicken C ravioli vodka sauce and mozzarella cheese garlic wedge oh my God they had something on this menu a section of food that I've never seen before in any diner or any restaurant it was deep fried wraps I was so intrigued and wanted to try one of those if I ever go back to this Diner I will get that next the deep fried wrap disgusting sounding obviously for those of you who are what's the name of the diner diner this was honestly one of the best diners I've ever been to in my life I will say that it lived up completely to the hype the food tasted amazing obviously I didn't feel so great on the drive home I'm not gonna lie um there a lot of dairy but you know what I was the only person and 28 or 124 even no you'd be trading picks 124 and 28 for 60 and 61 I wouldn't do that I wouldn't give up the 28th pick to move down to the F to the five six turn we see it every year those mid- round picks end up being busted more times than not in the 60 to 61 range we don't know how to properly in my opinion it's hard to rate that versus the top guys that do tend to pan out really well in the first two rounds so you're giving up your third round pick and your 11 early third 11th round pick fourth pick of round three for five and six I don't hate it I'm out I wouldn't do that uh should I trade czecho and Rico dle for Ford and cook Jerome Ford and James Cook no what if you I mean look Heathwood yeah it's s it's similar would you rather have dle or Ford guys dowle Ford right now and I much rather have PCO than cook I would rather have PCO than cook but it's not so strong of a take that I wouldn't consider this so if you are in the cook Camp again like I said Heath would do this trade I believe our projections would do this trade yeah because if we if we jeez I definitely clicked the wrong one there uh why are people still convinced mcaffrey is the first overall when guy um in PPR two points in non PPR was literally at one point minus 200 in Vegas to score a touchdown during the week that's how good the that's how that you had to literally play pay two to one to bet him to score a touchdown scores a touchdown every week he's by Far and Away the best player in fantasy has a minor injury that's most likely gonna be fine but you also have a offensive line that's not as good if Trent Williams is not there yes you have a 28y old running back you have a guy coming off 400 total touches you do have the injury to factor in you have the Madden Curse you have the one overall curse I mean there's there's a lot of things working curse the number one pick it's terrible use all that to my advantage last question here from ROM Jacobs Pacho or Travis etn in the second round Jacobs and I'm really sad I didn't get enough Jacobs before all this stuff happened because I didn't think Marshon Lloyd was ever going to play the role people expected I know the injury sort of played a factor but I didn't think he was ever going to be really as involved as people thought um and so it just stinks because now the price tag is so high but I think he's the clearcut now of these three I would still take Pacho but it's close so for for continuity I'll say Jacobs Jacobs also has like a top five schedule for running backs they're they're back to back to back for me yeah
