for all of our candidates in this really critical election I know that you all know that everything we care about is at stake this November our reproductive Freedom our democracy we know firsthand the chaos that Donald Trump brings we stood up to that chaos in 2020 after the election we stood up to the chaos when his Supreme Court uh overturned row and our 1864 abortion ban was reinstated we got that ban repealed uh but we cannot go back there and that's why everything you're doing to let voters know what's at stake in this election is so so critical and I could not be happier to have Governor walls here uh I got to work with him as governor and I'm so excited that he's on this presidential ticket uh he is a great person he's a great friend he's a veteran he's a teacher a coach uh and most importantly you all know that I'm a social worker I'm the first social worker elected governor in the United States he raised a social worker uh so really excited that hope is here as well and uh you know every this race is going to be close every race on the ballot is going to be close and so everything we do between now and election day is so critical so thank you thank you thank you and uh here is Governor wals well thank you uh to my friend Governor Hobbs and on behalf of all of America thank you for giving us this great Governor she is incredible she is beloved amongst all the governors Anthony is your representative of the volunteers we have across this country making sure that we're getting the work done making sure we're transferring all of this energy into voter contact and then turning that into votes at The Ballot Box which we know then turns into a better more inclusive Society after we win this election so thank you for that look we're traveling across this country thank you we're traveling this country we've got over 312 of these offices open across the country with thousands of paid volunteers with with paid folks working on the campaign and then all of the thousands and thousands of volunteers last time we were out here for this rally 10,000 people are more gathered out there and I'll tell you the energy was incredible it was electric people are hopeful for a better politics they're hopeful that we can do these things together and uh I often say it talking about Hope is on her journey to try and uh try and emulate what the governor did and get that work done but Hope's not a plan hope is a powerful word but it's not a plan we need to get this work done tonight you're going to watch vice president Harris lay out a plan for this country a new way for us we're going to hear her talk about a an economy that is an opportunity economy where everybody matters she's going to talk about about education being a path to a better future not long-term student loan debt she's talk about tackling some of the toughest problems like climate change and doing it in a way that grows our economy continuing to create and the uh the Biden Harris Administration created over 300,000 new jobs in energy last year alone you understand how important it is now if you did a split screen to that on the other side of that screen you're going to see a nearly 80-year-old man who's in it for himself talk about revenge and talk about how bad this country is and talk us down on everything he does he's going to try and tell you that putting a tax on the middle class is is a good thing he's going to do the one thing he may even talk about it tonight he is going to give tax cuts but only to the richest amongst us why they cut programs like Social Security and Medicare that is going to be a contrast that you get to see what's great about this is a lot more Americans are going to start tuning in and watching you're going to get the opportunity to see what we're going to do and that's where all of you come in this is where we need to build on this momentum we've got 56 days 56 days to go tell our neighbors what's out there 56 days of folks who aren't quite sure where they've been but I can tell you on this is we know who these guys are and we watched Arizona we watch this KLA Harris has been talking about freedom freedom to make your own Healthcare decisions freedom for our children to go to school without being shot dead freedom of an economy that gives you an opportunity to get ahead freedom to start a new business and get a tax credit not just the richest at the top but every small business to be able to get that those are those are dreams those are plans those are things we can put in but I will also and know that you know this we got to win the election first know will win we know will win we will wi we will win we will win look the folks out at those students out at ASU they know they know that Joe Biden won this state by about 11,000 votes last time I think that's about right Governor that we know this was closed they said that's only about 14% of their student body they plan on turning out tens of thousands out there know so we know this thing's going to go through the Battleground States and this is a Battleground State it's a Battleground state that K Harris is going to win it's going to be folks right here in this County and the folks in this room who help make her Madam president come so we know what's in front of us we know what the work is as the vice president is showing the rest of the country hard difficult work can be joyful work this politics is a blessing it is our responsibility to protect it while we've got the other side talking about jailing opponents we're simply trying to they're working on voter suppression we're working on voter engagement they're looking to go backwards we're looking to go forward and we're looking to a place where they want a very few to benefit we want all of our neighbors to be lifted up because we know and we got a saying in Minnesota when we all do better we all do better that works really well so for all of you as we watch this debate tonight it's going to give us an opportunity to talk to our neighbors to talk to our friends I know you're engaged I keep saying this this is like preaching to the choir you're the choir choir needs to sing but we got a lot of folks out there we'd like to join the choir we'd like to get them in they haven't started paying attention kids are going back to school they're trying to figure out what's next on the agenda they're trying to figure out how do they make sure we keep prices down in the grocery stores which vice president Harris is talking about them on the other side making things up oh we're going to put tariffs on here that's a tax on the middle class and now all of a sudden they want to change their tune oh no we're we're for fertility treatments or whatever and then like a baby for you a baby for you he's just like saying no we know that's not true they want to create a National Registry of pregnancy so they can track your pregnancy that's what project 2025 says our neighbors and those neighbors who may not be thinking about politics the one thing I can tell you is they care about their personal freedoms they care about the healthcare choices they make they care about the jobs they're going to get and I'll tell you what the vast majority of people care about this democracy enough that we are not going to let a wanted dictator be in that and tonight you will see a impassioned joyful Visionary ready leader make her case make her case so Arizona be part of this again 56 days to be part of something bigger than any of us something that will last Generations something that will impact not just this country but others by simply going out and talking to our friends folks who are now willing to pick up the phone to open the door to get registered to vote to make a difference all of those things are so impactful that we can change the direction of things in a mere 56 days and I'll close with what I always say we can do anything for 56 days so sleep with your dad and keep making the calls keep talking to your neighbors keep getting the work done watch tonight with the sense of joy that she'll be delivering that with and watch the contrast and let's not let a single person make the case that there is not a absolutely crystal clear difference of a positive forward America or one that is small Petty backwards and we're done with it so I tell you I
