Netflix released a major announcement with the One Tree Hill sequel in the works at the studio Hillary Burton and Sophia Bush will be returning to the series which will pick up 20 years after the series ended with both of them raising their own teenagers they will also be executive producing the series alongside Jensen and Daniel akles Daniel akles is rumored to be in the series but it hasn't been confirmed and Chad Michael Murray is not expected to return to the One Tree Hill series
