now as we said another twist might been stored in the United States presidential elections Donald Trump has hinted that he's reconsidering September's debate in a truth social post the former president has trashed the American Media organization ABC and then went on to question and I'm quoting him from that quote why would I do the debate against kamla Harris on that Network in the same post Trump claimed kamla Harris has refused to debate him on Fox NDC CBS and even CNN now the are further media reports that Trump's campaign has raised a dispute over the rules of the debate remember the 90-minute presidential debate is scheduled for September 10th on ABC and it will be held at the national Constitution Center in Philadelphia at 900 p.m. local time the Trump and Biden campaigns had agreed to the ABC debate back in May and since then the change is obviously that Harris has become the Democratic nominee now the latest post the social media post by the former president Donald Trump comes after the Democratic National Convention just concluded last week on Friday where the headlining event on Friday was the accepting speech by the now Democratic nominee kamla Harris and for more on this we are being joined by correspondent Susan terani from New York Susan good to see you as always are you hearing anything from the Trump campaign at this point well it was the uh social media post that he mentioned because there was a concern and I think we should go back and revisit what happened yesterday which it was a clip that everyone saw and it was Senator Tom Cotton basically said that kamla Harris's position is to get rid of all Private health insurance replace it and give taxpayer money to illegal aliens that's when the journalist started pushing back saying that's not her position when it actually has been and so it was sort of a back and forth where Tom Cotton had to sort of educate this journalist and the journalist was sort of acting as one analyst put it like uh he was Harris's press secretary so it was very it sort of came across as being very biased considering the fact that kamla Harris hasn't really made clear her position regarding Private health insurance which is very important for Americans after that it was when President Trump put out that tweet he's concerned about ABC I mean one can argue the reason that you know people are talking about this is if president Trump was concerned about ABC at the very beginning why did he agree but ABC has also hired Dana Brazil she used to be the DNC chair she had to leave DNC because of a scandal for giving the questions ahead of time to Hillary Clinton in 2016 so you can see that there is this concern on the part of Republicans that ABC may not be fair but I doubt that it'll go as far as president Trump not taking this opportunity to bit Harris all right Susan thank you for those updates from New York for all the latest news download the Von app And subscribe to our YouTube channel
