an X WWE faction holds talks with aew plus future will ospray aew plans have been revealed and Nigel mcginness is facing Brian Danielson at aew Grand Slam that bit in a bit mind but let's talk about this x WWE faction that is uh having a little conversation with AE dub who are we talking about Andre we are talking about the hurt business so recently totally harmless Concepts who previously filed for trademarks to MVP filed to trademark the hurt Syndicate uh fueling rumors of a reunion outside of WWE obviously between Bobby Lashley MVP and Shelton Benjamin formerly known as the hurt business fight for select say we can confirm there have been discussions and even plans to continue a faction similar to the her business outside of WWE specifically we have heard that aew has had discussions with Bobby Lashley MVP and Shelton Benjamin in recent weeks however we've not been told that a deal was done or imminent as we noted recently say fightful select Bobby lashley's deal with WWE expired and MVP and Shelton Benjamin are also free agents oo well how do we feel about potentially the hurt syndicat heading to AE dub we like it it I like it because I like that faction and I feel like they didn't get too much um too much they didn't reach their potential sorry within WWE I feel like and they were a really good fit together Shame about Cedric cuz I love Cedric in that group as well um however obviously with a certain person in aew now called Ricochet I believe MVP has said multiple times in the past that he wanted Ricochet within that within that group but it didn't turn out that way so maybe that would also be a way to get him finally in there too I don't know yeah I think that would be something nice for Ricochet to do that's a little bit different of course Ricochet was always going to come in and have uh Banger matches and uh and and that will always be the case but I feel like Ricochet always needs a little bit more little bit more creatively I I want that I want a heel turn I want a heel turn in aw so badly and I would really like that and yeah I'd love if we did see um the hurt business or the hurt Syndicate uh within aew I'd like to see Ricochet as part of that but also I'd just like to see those three Bobby Lashley MVP and Shelton Benjamin just back together doing stuff too wher they know I'd like to see that in TNA I'll be honest I that be fun even for a small little run in TNA I think it'd be fun cuz you know Bobby lashley's got previous there MVP has got previous there Shelton Benjamin be a wonderful addition there I think I have them maybe go up against uh you know some some of the wrong people in TNA and Sh them away it would be cool you know that'll be quite nice this maybe maybe them shoing off the system in DNA might be quite nice and then they go ah we were the baddies all along I don't know I'm not a creative writer I'm just sitting here I'm just a weird little guy talking about the wrestling and now talking about will osprey's future plans so will op the International Champion has more gold in mind as as a result of last night he along with Kyle Fletcher are heading to Arthur Ash Stadium to challenge the Young Bucks for the World Tag Team titles they won the casino Gauntlet last night consequently we're going to get a first time match between will and Kyle and Matthew and Nicholas excited about that it's going to be a fun one I think that'll be really really good I don't know whether they pick up the titles or not um but I I I like the idea of shaking things up a little bit because I feel like the Tag Division at the moment needs a little bit of a a refresh a little a little something different and we're getting that with with different teams coming in as well like like uh the the uh out Runners as well the out run it needs the outrunners yes and everybody popped so hard for them too uh last night which was really cool to see and so are getting like little fresh bits here and there but but I like this I mean obviously you know part of the United Empire nice to see them teaming together um so yeah it's going to be a banger I can't wait for that one I honestly thought that maybe Arthur Ash we would get that Osprey Ricochet match but I guess we're kind of holding fire on that oh yeah I think you you don't as I said to Adam on the news before I don't think you blow your loads too soon we we let the load build up first before we finally blow it you don't leave people blue ball that's true but sometimes it the anticipate never mind mind Nigel MC Guinness's blue balls were fit to burst and last night he got to uh completely uh release his wad uh last night good morning uh last night Nigel mcginness uh declared in an in ring promo uh that he had a contract to face Brian Danielson at Grand Slam yeah uh a long this now this is convoluted in terms of how we got here I was going to say it's a little bit convoluted in terms of how we got in fact I'll we'll say now right so the match was announced by Nigel mcginness during an in ring promo um and mcginness noted that since Danielson no longer had an opponent for Grand Slam which we will get to in a little bit he had an idea uh mcginness declared that Danielson was afraid of him but Tony KH isn't afraid and knows a money match when he sees one and then it was revealed that grand slam Brian Danielson will face m Guinness there is a caveat though to this uh the match will take place provided that Danielson is healthy enough to uh compete and that was sort of mentioned throughout the night on commentary quite a few times that Brian may not be cleared for the match so it casts an air of Doubt over MC Guinness's plans Tony tweeted out about the match as well afterwards being like Oh we could be getting it but we might not be getting it um and I feel like there was a little bit of confusion in the air uh about whether this maybe is just a singles match or a title match uh Tony KH tweeting made it seem like it wasn't title match in sort of mcguinness's promo he alluded to the fact that we it would be more of just a singles match rather than a world championship match however detective Owen morson oh Owen morson has been on one this morning in so obviously um mcginness has got the papers in his hand he's got something in his pocket he pulls it out Owen morson enhances it does indeed say uh a contract for an aew world championship match however that has not been declared on any socials or anything fightful have said that it was fightful have said that it was yes um so it remains to be seen I mean within K faab the match is sort of has a Shadow of Doubt cast over it anyway because we don't know if Brian's going to be cleared or not however the match itself I think very cool for a lot of wrestling fans who have been waiting to see this for many many years at this point absolutely this is now this is a match that has so much history to it they had that iconic Clash at the Liverpool Olympia when they were part of Ring of Honor H and Nigel mcginness has said like the one thing he wants to do is get back in shape and fight Brian Daniels said he's been throwing barbs at him on commentry for a long time we saw how he got into match shape for last year's all in for something that didn't quite sorry yeah of course he was definitely match this year but last year they he had that photo of him in in all his gear which suggested to me that there was even the idea of a mcginness Danielson match last year that didn't pan out and uh and and obviously this year he's back and now we're getting the match that a lot of AR wrestling fans have been excited to see myself included but what about Derby Allen H whoa whoa whoa ho stop the car derby Allen's walking in the middle of the road Darby Allen was set to have a world title match against Brian Danielson at Arthur Ash at Grand Slam because he won that Rumble a while ago that was the whole thing uh however John Moxley convinced Darby Allen that because Brian Danielson was injured as a result of the attack by Moxley and his Pals that instead of instead of having a night off he should fight him and put his world title opportunity on the line against him which is what has happened but then a little later in the night after Derby Allen who had effectively stepped down from fighting Brian Danielson because Brian Danielson wouldn't be cleared to compete Nigel beinus then says I'll fight you Brian Dan if you're free and it it feels a really ham fisted way to get to stuff that we want it's the kind of creative that we absolutely lambasted WWE for during their darkest of points sort of early early 20s where you had not like the Roaring 20s 2020 to 2022 where you had He Who Shall Not Be Named at the helm just ripping up the script and making it up as you go along so he had all these weird plot points and plot holes that Rumble through it hated that in 2021 and 2022 didn't like the way we got to this now I think there could have been a nicer way a cleaner way that we could have done it yeah um despite the fact that the result is we get niga mcus and Brian Danielson which I'm very excited about we could have got here in a nicer way we yeah I agree we could have got here in a nicer way however again just to sort of like specify that they did say that the the still the Danielson and mcginness match is still up in the air so even though all this stuff has happened and yes Derby is now putting his championship opportun on the line against Moxley because Danielson can't compete it's not confirmed that Danielson will compete anyway I know I and I completely understand as well because I agree I think it was a hand fisted way to get there um really excited about the matches themselves I think it's just a way to sort of Tide everything over to uh wrestle dream where I think maybe Derby will face Danielson there depending if he wins I don't know yeah we we might get that one there we might get that one there yeah so a lot to digest after last night's dite on route to Grand Slam and we will keep you updated on everything coming out of that and of course for the very latest resting news at
