[Music] welcome into Titans today I am Tom Downey we are here to give out some winners and losers from the second preseason game of the season for Tennessee part of a very entertaining for a preseason game thrilling comeback by Tennessee a 16-5 win over the Seattle Seahawks we'll give a lot more winners than losers I think which is a positive thing but I want you guys to grade the Titans overall before we get into into Today's show how do you feel that team played overall A B C D or F let me know in the comments section of today's show our first winner didn't actually like come from the game itself but the news of the day Arden key had his six-game suspension apparently overturned a broken by Jeffrey Simmons and then reported by ESPN the athletic and others I don't know if I said it on air or if I said it in my head of like I would I wish that sometime people just Adit that they messed up I take it back uh key won the appeal so I take it to believe it actually do anything wrong so my apologies Arden uh big deal for Tennessee by the way to have Arden key out there for week one that would have been a significant loss up front so big time win there for Tennessee and for key himself let's talk backup QB's here and it was not perfect for Malik Willis he did have the not so great int but I thought overall especially for what we saw in previous years I think Malik Willis has taken a step forward now does that mean he's suddenly going to be a a a top NFL starting QB no like Tennesse did not play will Levis they know what they think they have in him I still as we'll get into I don't think Willis wins that backup QB JW but I thought he put some better stuff on film today I thought he played pretty well especially minus the int he still holds the ball a little bit longer than you want I think there are still times you just want to process faster go hit that hit that shot whatever but I think overall there was some positive things to see out of Malik Willis I think overall the upward growth it's what I want to see out of him you know maybe he's not going to be a long-term piece in Tennessee but from a personal perspective I think he's showcasing what he's able to do now with that said I do think Mason Rudolph if he didn't already have it probably help solidify his job as the qb2 maybe Tennessee carries three QB now the game-winning drives two two big ones late in the game the touchdown drive to Nick West forina the uh getting the field goal range for the game-winning field goal as well Rudolph played pretty darn well you know 10 of 17 125 yards one touchdown took one sack compared to two for Malik will I think that shouldn't be overlooked also had a 10 yard Scamper which I thought was kind of nice for that's not exactly known for his Mobility I think it a way uh of note this is also probably a Brian Callahan positive cuz all of a sudden the passing offense looks a lot better with him in charge it's probably a positive for him who do you think ends up winning quarterback the the quarterback 2 job I should say w for Malik Willis R for Mason Rudolph if the ad comes here on YouTube take advantage of it head down there and let me know can't believe I'm doing it but I'm doing it Raiden narvis is indeed a winner on this list now he did not kick the extra point Nick Folk that I don't think Nick folks going anywhere but nar's going to be on a roster or H take a practice squad somewhere he was good from 21 drilled as Brian Callahan called it a big boy kick from 59 yards 46 yards as well with the gamewinner that's awesome for him and look kicking in the NFL is is a heavily mental angle that's a big deal for him he's got to have a lot of confidence there are still teams out there searching for a kicker you know Seattle lost this game because their kicker missed a field goal or missed an extra point probably shouldn't be overlooked so maybe it's not in Tennessee maybe six round even I'm not opposed to doing practice squad for kicker by the way you get to carry a bunch of spots like why not I actually don't hate that idea I liked what I saw from narison maybe it's not in Tennessee but I think he's helping himself out pretty big for his NFL career I would argue the biggest winner coming out of today's game was actually Jaylen Harold and as they look for that number three Edge rusher defensive end three four outside linebacker behind Arden key behind Herold Landry my vote goes to Herold right now three tackles two sacks two tfls a strip sack that Seattle was able to recover he had those he had three pressures in two sacks on 10 pass rush snaps and it's a 30% pass or pressure which is unsustainable like for perspective I think like Micah Parson's led the NFL last year at like under 20 or something it's like it's obviously unsustainable but Jaylen harrold looks like a number three Edge in the NFL if there were any doubts about his roster spot he is on it I would make him my number three Edge over other players will'll discuss later on in today's show today's show is made possible by prize picks they are America's number one daily fantasy sports app for 5 million active members thing I like most about prize picks it is just you against the numbers you are not having to battle thousands of other players and finish top two percentile or whatever it has pick more than or less than on two to six player sta projections and watch your winnings roll in you can win up to 100 times your money on prize picks with as little as four correct picks turn 10 bucks into a th000 now I like the flex play the payout is lower but I only got to get two out of three right three out of four right these these are my one of I should say my NFL season long prize picks I believe in Calvin Ridley I love the more than 899 half receiving yards T Higgins who maybe could be a future Titan too uh same stat line there and Cooper cup with tuua banged up if cup stays healthy flex play that way in case one of those guys some injury histories goes down I I still feel okay about it so download the prize pick app today and use code C LNS for a first deposit match up to $100 that's code clns over at prize.com clns for a first deposit match up to $100 links to the comments and the description of today's show let's go to jaquin Jackson look uh Kar Jackson a bit nicked up seems like it'll be a minor injury uh Kyle Phillips is still banged up but he was the team's number one wide receiver and in trying to find out who's that backup wide receiver that receiver five receiver six whatever Jackson is is I think earning a possibility there he can help on special teams he can help on returns was only a 19 yard kick return but pretty solid 14 yard punt return by the way Kyle philps going to keep battling soft tissue injuries that goes a long way for Jackson to earn his spot on this team's 53-man roster two weeks in a row by the way that chance Campbell has led the Titans in tackles eight tackles in this one including a tfl by the way I don't know if he's a great coverage player he might not ever be a great coverage player but as you search for guys that can contribute at the back end of your linebacker roster and I think have special teams upside only played Seven special team snaps but but still I think That Matters by the way James Williams played a ton of special team snaps also had a penalty so I didn't put him on the winners or the losers list let's stay positive here name a winner for the Titans from week two of the NFL preseason who impressed you in that game drop the player name or names in the comments section one last winner uh I know not everybody loves Nick Wester Kina but he did have the little touchdown catch of the game uh two catches 20 yards a score a as Tennessee kind of rounds out this wide receiver room assuming Hopkins doesn't miss a ton of time and TR Burks is going to be on the roster and Tyler Boyd is a bit nicked up and obviously Calvin Ridley I still think he's receiver five I still think he's going to find his way on to the roster he does all the little things that coaching staffs love so it's not the flashiest game but he keeps finding a way onto the 53 we are getting closer and closer to 9,500 subscribers here on Titans today hit that sub button youtube.com/ tians today for more free Titans videos in life there are losers we must accept it I'm going to go with Hassan H Haskins here uh not that Tennessee ran the ball super great in this game which was probably more simil to the offensive line H Haskins had five carries for 13 yards a long of five uh that's a 2.6 average now look the offensive line I don't think really did a great job either but not like he was making a bunch of big plays happen either there were some decent yards after contact but a lot of that was more falling forward than anything even with 11 yards at the contact you know 2.2 still isn't a very good average uh from that angle all right Jaylen Duncan is next up here part of a semil lengthy offensive line conversation for Tennessee uh look Duncan coming out of Maryland we knew he was a raw Prospect he wasn't good uh one sack allowed three hurries a 57.2 run blocking grade for Duncan uh Nicholas P freier did not play in today's G or I should say yesterday's game which I think is a pretty clear indication that hey it's going to be his job cuz Duncan played right tackle week one moved over to left tackle in week two and it got worse which is not a good sign he by the way also had a penalty in this game he he had 28 snaps got beat four times in patch rection on your 16 snaps every fourth play you're getting beat that is unacceptable for an offensive lineman I want you guys to name a Titans preseason loser for week two it is okay to be negative that has to be sometimes drop that name for me in the comments most of the offensive line is next up here uh again not a good sign when this this is the conversation having look it's the backups so maybe it's not overly surprising uh but the offensive line stats in this game they allowed one sack one hit 11 hurries on not that many dropbacks eight penalties two of which were declined by the way or offsetting that's a lot of mistakes they made out there uh bill Callan ain't going to be happy so you you had a lot of you know Andrew rupic allowed three pressures and had two penalties okay chavius Simmons actually I thought played kind of decently Cole Spencer had a penalty Leroy Watson had a penalty Jaylen Duncan had a penalty jna joku had a penalty uh Jon Christian had a penalty like come on guys some of them were just pre- snap stuff you can't have that you got to tighten that up in week three finally Rashad Weaver at a do I like coming out of pit 16 pass rush reps one pressure Kayla Murphy had four on 17 so I'm out here watching jayen Herold against same units look pretty damn good and I see Rashad Weaver not doing anything if I had to rank him right now and it's it's only pre preseason influenced heavily it's Harold Murphy and Weaver it might carry all five but I need to see more out of him in the third and final preseason game [Music]
