Gaudreau brothers remembered by Calgary Flames and their fans at candlelight vigil

it's a name Flames fans haven't chanted for a long time a name the thousands here still love and know as Johnny hockey just so sad he was so young he had his whole life ahead of him I met him a few times and I thought I'd show them support by being here tonight I really was a big fan of Johnny like my whole life I loved him a lot and I think it's just important to be here on Wednesday night the Calgary Flames held handlight vigil for the former flame star and his brother Matthew both were killed last week by an alleged drunk driver since hearing of their tragic deaths fans from all walks of life fans like you have come here to build this beautiful Memorial we see around me one by one current and former members of the organization reminisced about Johnny my relationship with Johnny uh went far behind this Arena we we had a bond that extended to his family which I will cherish for forever for me Johnny was a great teammate and friend I feel lucky I got seen firsthand growing up from a college boy to a man time doesn't heal all wounds and there is no amount of time that could erase the Deep scars of losing these boys at the peak of their [Music] lives this Memorial will will remain at the Saddle Dome until the 16th but the number 13 will remain in the hearts of flames fans forever
