all right Steve uh before we get out of here you put in a new recruiting prediction machine pick in for the Auburn Tigers about two hours before game time it coincided with Elijah men Melendez decommitting from the canes tell us about why you put the pick in for the Auburn Tigers well obviously we reported on Thursday that Elijah Melendez would be on the planes tonight for the season open against Alabama A&M talking to a source with knowledge of the recruitment right after he announced his decommitment there was a lot of confidence that he would end up with auburn so my on three RPM reflects that you know we'll see what happens moving forward they're trying to flip or win out for a lot of studs right now you got the number one corner in the country Naim offord back at Auburn Oregon's also trying to flip them there that thing's a war Ohio State's doing a good job you have Duce sight of course Notre Dame commit we've talked about him at length on all our programs inside scoop whip around I mean I like where AUB stands there he's got a great relationship with the kids they're recruiting the current staff The Freshman receivers it's in the SEC the rich quarterback tradition that Auburn has I think it all excites him Old Miss is still working it Notre Dame still trying to hang on to him they're hoping that he's keeping an eye on their game tonight we talked about dalen Upshaw he's a really talented instate receiver committed to Miami he's at AU tonight he said Miami leads by a mile but obviously Auburn getting an opportunity safety ran Dinkins is a Georgia Tech commit that's there Zion Lawson's a a Vander a Vanderbilt commit that's on campus a lot of really talented 2026 most of the commits are back so Auburn did a great job of getting a lot of talented prospects to a game where they should win handily and know you like to get the blue chippers to the the big game and and you get a risk reward uh but alab or Auburn everyone's going to be in good spirits tonight man all 85 Starship players should play should get a win should be a beautiful night new facilities are coming along top five recruiting class Hugh freeze is confident year two I like how they line this all up yeah and I think they're kind of capitalizing on the momentum that they have throughout the summer really the momentum that they got into August I mean you see Alvin Henderson flipped Derk Smith he's committed and Quan fagans he committed right here on the on three recruits Channel at the very end of July they got Deuce night on campus I mean it is a star studded event out on the planes we're going to talk about it all week it's been fun here doing a little recruit reaction
