[Music] well this is kind of disappointing I I thought that this game was doing better because I hear a lot of people talking about how great it is including myself astrobot actually a really fun game I really like this game in fact I would say it's a reason to dust off your PS5 I don't play my PS 5 that much I'm more on the PC than anything anymore but this is only on Playstation five and I love a good platformer I've really been enjoying astrobot actually quite a bit and apparently it's not selling very well at least boxed UK charts don't have it that high up which is kind of sad to be honest I was kind of hoping that it would do well CU I would like more games like astrobot fun Platformers uh but no it is not uh they're having a little fun with it over here on VGC with headlines like this astrobot reportedly sold more physical copies in the UK in two days than Concord did worldwide but that's not that's not a hard achievement to obtain because Concord only sold like 15,000 copies on PS5 and that's digital and physical I believe cuz the analysts were saying about 25,000 copies total for Concord I believe it was 10,000 on steam or yeah and 15,000 on PlayStation for a combined total obviously of 25,000 so that's that's not good I really was hoping this game would do better but you know I guess all anybody wants to play are shooter games I I don't know I love good Platformers so this won't be the first time I've been burned because some of the best Platformers I think in the past decade were the Rayman Origins and legends games and we're probably never going to see a sequel to those either they've made like some shitty mobile game but I would like a an actual PC console like re sequel to those but I don't think we're ever going to get them they just keep giving us the same over and over again over at Ubisoft astrobots UK sales physical only so far aren't huge opening week is about a third lower than 2021s Ratchet and Clank Rift apart but I expect a longer sales taale for Astro it certainly sold more copies in the UK in just two days then Concord sold worldwide so I actually agree with this I I don't think Rift depart sold that great so that's that's why that's kind of a a Bad Thing uh the good news though is I think he's right about this game selling longer over time selling better over time because it's got good word of mouth like I see everybody praising it in a lot of the ways it reminds me of Mario Galaxy but with PlayStation properties which I don't think that's a bad comparison Mario Galaxy is one of the best Platformers ever made in my opinion so you know it's just wild it's too bad I think this is a fantastic game but the other story here is Concord is being totally erased so Concord is proof that we own nothing in the digital age from the gamer and apparently if you bought this game digitally it's being removed totally from your console you can't play it Concord thank you for being a valued PlayStation customer live services for Concord went offline 6924 the game is not playable and as a result we have removed this content from your account now to be fair people got refunds for the game so there is that you got a refund if you bought it digitally and I guess it is what it is but this is true like live service games like this is a good example of why they could be bad news because this happened to another game not quite in the same way but it got removed from existence and I think it was the first crew the crew remember that game where you could ride around the country well that game got removed and it's unplayable like that started a lawsuit actually over I think it was in the UK somebody sued them and said well you can't just remove this I paid money for it Well turns out they can and they do which is a a very good warning for the future of gaming and going digital only which is something that sucks about that you don't really own it do you I mean even the modern PlayStation games if you have the disc you really don't even own them because most of them need to be downloaded off of the internet even if you have the disc it's it's totally different than what it used to be but uh it is kind of it is kind of wild to me that they can just reach in to your PlayStation account and just yank that off of there and say sorry uh this game is no longer playable here's your money back at least they gave a refund I don't even think they really had to do that did they like I don't know how the laws work around that but yeah they bring it up here the crew yeah the crew got removed I don't know if it was the first one or not but yeah the crew won yeah this happened back in December 20123 they removed that game completely you can't even play it I think if you have the disc and you put it in it just takes you to a demo of the game uh but that's that's a great example of what's going to happen with a lot of these live service types of games they're just going to vanish away get ready for that to happen with Suicide Squad killed the Justice League as well by the way there's barely anybody playing that either so I do think like this makes me think this is just more evidence that I think they're just gonna pull this game and make it a tax re like a break like do the tax refund or something and try to make this a big write off to save money that's what I think is going to happen with Concord and there's a lot of evidence now to support that especially with this I mean it's just it's like it's being raced from existence the only thing that's going to even be able to support like you're going to sit down and say well this game did exist kids let me tell you about Concord and its time with Amazon because that's going to be the only thing that's left of this game is the Amazon secret level show is still going to have that Concord episode I don't even think that this is going to come back as a free-to-play game and I thought that they might do that but they're going to have to totally rework the game to make that happen and it might make this not even the same game because this game was not designed around monetization you know with paying for in store products it was all designed as ingame so they'll have to completely redo the game I think this is a tax wrof and no one's going to care because nobody played this game anyway that's pretty much it let me know what
