what is going on guys it is wrestle Amia here back with another video abashian Berlin is finally here with three huge title matches into two gigantic Grudge matches join us now as we recap the show and look at The Good The Bad and The downright [Music] ugly as always we start off with a recap as first we look at the Undisputed WWE championship match between Champion Cody rhods versus Kevin Owens what happens when two friends and allies fight for the WWE's most prestigious Championship things get heated at times as both men are determined to win but after Cody rhods lands wrong on his knee Koo shows he's unwilling to win at any cost Owens a baby face avoids targeting Cody's bad wheel for much of the match and it costs him as Cody hangs tough and hits Crossroads for the win as Cody rhods retains the Undisputed Championship afterward both men celebrated and Kevin Owen shows no signs that he's regretted his decision to take the high road next up is the WWE women's tag team championship match as Champions the Unholy Union of Isa dor and Alba fire take on Bianca Bair and Jade Carill Michael Cole and Wade Barrett talk up the champions' Greater experiences partners and he chose for much of the match as they isolate Bianca belir however bel's Talent along with Jay cargill's Raw power and talent edges out the Champions as they take out fire and hit their DDT suplex dou te move on Dawn for the win Bianca Bella and Jay Caril are the new women's tank Team Champions next up is a strat match as CM Punk takes on Drew McIntyre a McIntyre attacks Punk from behind beating him down before the match even begins however Punk recovers but doesn't seem interested in winning the match but inflicting more pain on Drew McIntire ad Drew also gives in and the two enemies spend much of their match dishing out as much punishment as humanly possible however Punk eventually focuses taking Drew out with multiple gts's as he tags Each corner for the win retrieving his friendship bracelet in the process and getting his first win over Drew McIntyre Punk then celebrates his hard-earned win next up is the teror twins of R repley and Damen PRI versus the Judgment days live Morgan and daddy Dominic and this match is a night off for R and Damen as they clearly outmatch their opponents and they know they can afflict as much Carnage as they want without having to worry about winning a title while the heels cheating tactics including outside interference from other Judgment Day members give him a rest bite the defeat is inevitable and the terror twins get the dominant win finally it's then time for the main event as World Heavyweight Champion Gunther takes on Randy Orton a Randy Orton targets Gunther's arm well aware of the Champion's incredible power Orton is methodical as always applying strike after strike to weaken Guna and it pays off as the ring General finds himself straining to pull off moves he typically executes with ease such as a power bomb and despite some very close calls including Arko to Guna Guna holds out showing incredible intensity by applying the sleeper repeatedly until Orton then passes out as gun retains the World Heavyweight Championship Guna shows his respect for Orton by extending his hand when Orton shakes the Champion's hand in what has to be seen a passing of the torch as bash and Berlin close closes out now was a quick recap of the show what about The Good The Bad and The downright ugly as always we start off with the good is number one nice guys finish last a Bashan Berlin's opening bout was the action-packed opener fans have come to expect as Cody rhods and Kevin Owens showed that a baby face versus Baby Face match doesn't have to be a snoozer the match featured Owens showing fire but the bout also had a strong subplot of Kevin Owens refusing to abandon his principles in order to win at first Owens refused to Target Cody's leg when he tweaked it during the match although KO eventually hit Rose bum wheel he didn't focus on it as much as he could second Kevin Owens opted to KN his apron Power Bomb a way Barrett played his heel commentator part to Perfection repeatedly questioning why Owens wasn't using all of his opportunities and rightly pointing out it would eventually cost him the match itself was engaging and it left the door open for whether KO will have second thoughts about taking the high road when he could have been the Undisputed Champion number two incredibly detailed storytelling imash in Berlin was another example of why the WWE is so hot the show combined strong storytelling with equally strong matches to make even the weakest match Stand Out Kevin Owens versus Cody a match that seemingly came out of left field made perfect sense once it began the WWE set up the story of a gracious Cody giving Owens a match but it quickly came clear that this would be no exhibition they added suspense as fans wondered whether KO would stick to his word that he wouldn't get a cheap win by targeting Cody's leg which Owen's claim was injured Randon story of his incredible comeback and quest to win another world championship was well played against Gunther's own goal of being the elite of the elite consequently fans witness an epic tale of a legend relying on every ounce of experience and cunning to battle a stronger younger and Relentless foe as for Drew versus Punk that was greatness on a different level something we'll explore next as number three a strong strap match the WWE universe doesn't see strap matches very often but they may want to see them more often after CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's electrifying performance the WWE wisely had its announcers explain the rule a helpful primer for fans who have never seen a strap match and a refresher for anyone who may have forgotten the rules once that was out of the way they could get down to the business at hand the story of both Superstars enmity with each other this match was all about revenge which made the stipulation ideal as both Superstars punished each other ignoring the match's stipulation of tagging the corners and blistering each other's backs with the leather strap and pummeling them inside and outside the ring our pro wrestling often overuses the idea that a feud is personal but it never seems to be true as with Punk and McIntyre especially after watching this match this was a must needed win for Punk who sadly hasn't had many opportunities to wrestle since his WWE return another loss to Mcintyre could have cooled off his momentum but thankfully WWE knew better and punk won incredibly rumor has it that the feud isn't over and fans can only imagine what will lead to another match possibly a bad blood in a hel in a Cell match number four a hot crowd another hot crowd as the fans in Berlin showed their appreciation forg getting to watch a PL in their Hometown and their enthusiasm for each match the fans cheers and chance were the chart and as expected they took things to a new level during the main event of Orton versus Gunther Once Upon a Time the WWE had to deal with fans who hijack the shows because the in ring quality was so pitiful and now the product is so good that WWE's only worry is making sure fans's cheers don't bring the roof down fans know that Lively audience makes for better shows and the fans in Berlin made the case for WWE to return very soon number five the legend maker there are so many ways to describe the Guna versus randu Main Event instant class Masterpiece match of the Year candidate and many more in the end though tonight's title defense was all about randel and passing the torch to Guna by dishing out everything Orton has and G holding out to win the match Orton made his name as a Legend killer but tonight he became the legend maker helping Gunther who's already done so much to help himself through hard work and outstanding performances enter a rarified air of Mega Stars the hard work isn't over and the Stellar performances will continue as Gunther strives to get better every night but tonight Randy wouldn't help pull gun up to the top of the WWE Mountain that was a good what about the bad is number one a terrible tank team division as strong as bash in Berlin was the WWE Women's Championship Match was a reminded that no matter what progress they make with its women's Tag Division its booking remains set at one step forward two steps back the Carill B versus Unholy Union match was bad in terms of in ring quality to be fair the story of Champions using their experience advantage to dominate made sense however the match did nothing to forward the storyline of Carill and B breaking up a story that many members of the universe feel is inevitable as bad as this decision was it only added to how badly the WWE has booked is D and Alba fires run as Tag Team Champions like so many champions before them their title defenses have been rare giving fans no time to invest in them having them lose to kgill and B probably means they'll be sent to the bottom of the ladder joining Katana chance and Kaden Carter as another team to win the tag titles get zero push during their reign and then turn into enhancement Talent ultimately this match meant next to nothing other than perhaps giving the bans a title change and it should have been booked on TV the WWE has repeatedly said it prefers to limit most ples to five matches sa the most important matches for the event and leaving other matches for TV this match failed on many levels and it's a failure is another reason why fans have all but given up on the women's Tag Division and number two no turns although bash and Berlin served up some Dynamite matches and mixed in strong stories for each match the WWE te's turns leading into a show that never happened the biggest was how the WWE made it seem like Kevin Owens would given wish to win another world Title by throwing Cody under the bust likely by using heal tactics now there's also been the undercurrent that a heal turn is coming for either beon Cabella or J Carill as mentioned in our analysis of the women's tag match there was Zero sign of any tension and it's baffling why it's just been forgotten about although the WWE likes to take its time with storytelling it kind of sucks that we didn't get any turns as was nothing downright ugly the WWE kept things moving starting with a world Undisputed championship match and giving fans a chance to see two much anticipated Grudge matches before any things with an amazing main event that elevated gun with a win over the alltime great what would you guys think of bashing Berlin let us know in the comments down below and I'll see you next time with some more wrestling content [Music]
