With their jobs, their group. That's been a lot
of those guys have been together for a long time. And
they play with their hair on fire. I mean, they know what they're doing. They're very aggressive. Understand, all their fits, it's
hard to get, get them to get out of there alignments. So it's one of those
things going to be a great challenge is something
we kind of go against every day. Of course, any time you have and
I think we have a couple games here that are brand-new
coordinators. You're never going to know 100%, but you're
going to try to give it. Yeah, your best bet. Mike has done a really good job
working, you know, obviously through the injury. You know,
he's really done a nice job. Just get himself back in his
mind, set has been great, both in the classroom and on the field, it's been great to
have him out there and, you know, we're going to do it the right way. We're going
to make sure that we don't give them everything
early, but just know it's a long season. Can you describe the process
that you gain planning process and how much input Aaron has
into that? It's very elaborate, we always come together with it
with a plan as coaches and then we're presented to him like we
do every week or any quarterback and then just kind of clarify
everything with him. See you know, he watches a ton of tape,
he has a ton of ideas just like us and so we want to be sure
that he's comfortable with all the things that we're going to
execute out there. So as we develop the plan, When we continually get it to
them and have a lot of talks and make sure we have everything
that we want and go from there. So it's pretty
seamless is just another pair of eyes because of his
experience. It's been amazing. I mean just thinking about like
last year when he was out there practicing and seeing what he
could do in such a short period of time, it just shows just his
mentality to competitor he is. I'm you can't speak speak highly enough about the
man and his determination and his
competitiveness. I mean he's the all-time mean, it doesn't
matter what you do with this guy. I mean he's always going to
try to do everything to not just beat
you, but beat you, bad sets the standard. I mean, it's it, I mean, he's
one of the greatest to ever throw a football. So when he's
out there in cerebral cerebrally I think that's a
work. Just to watch him how he thinks
how he needs everybody to get up to how he's cognitively
processing is so important. And I mean, again, he's trying to
shred people. And I think that's the thing. That's so
beautiful. And it just makes everybody standard go
a lot higher. Everything's got to be perfect. Everybody does. I mean just
watching how the Huddle operates when they when he calls the play
and he speaks to everybody, that's where the
whole thing starts. So just watching him, communicate that
play and talk to the offensive line, talk to the wide
receivers, he's having a conversation, not
just calling a play and I think that's what makes the things
come alive a lot and it's just fun watching all those guys
won't want to be exactly in the right spot for
him and him to be able to deliver
it. To him. Don't you as a coach? You know, I talk a lot about the players and
standard and what from your perspective as a
coach, what does he do for you? He makes it so that anything
that we're going to call, has to be great. And so for us every play that we
find every single thought that we have every, every single Movement we have
every Run play, we have. I mean, he goes even into the
Run game. I mean, it's every
single thing. It has to be so precise and you have to have
a great reason for it. If you don't Aunt. It's probably not
going to be executed or called so I think that just challenges
us as coaches to make sure everything we pick is something
that we really really love and we have proof for that. I have to have that answer when
Harry asks always I mean it's just like whenever
you put anything in new if it's something he's not familiar with
or hasn't done. I mean he's done so much and
they're certain plays that he's been very good at that if you're
going to Introduce something new. You got to be
sure you have a whole lot of evidence on why it's good and and he still going to challenge
it. So a test, you as a coach that even if you have something
he's going to keep pushing it and then that's where that
conversation happens. And usually it's something
special. Going to be calling from
downstairs or Upstairs
Downstairs. Last year. I think you were
upstairs toward the end, right? But you started
downstairs. So there must be something
between you and Aaron like being able to talk. I on the
sidelines, his editor, yes. I mean the minute he walks in
the building. I mean everybody knows, he's one of the greatest
left tackles to ever play the game. So just his demeanor, how he
trains, how he takes care of his body, how he prepares? All
those things. Are amazing standards that he sets. I mean, it's like every
beginning of a season I mean teams are changing. So
dramatically every year, I mean, looking at our team,
there's a lot of new starters that are up there. You never know what's going to
happen until it's a real football game. And you see how
people respond, that's why it's sometimes good to be on the
sidelines. So you can look at everybody in the eye and get a great feel for Or how they're going to be on
game day. So for with this group I'm
excited to see him go out there and operate. We've done some
really good things out here in practice and now we just got to
take it to the field. He's under as well as you can
use. Yes. Oh, he gives us tons of ideas
and thoughts and all those things. And just like, it is
when you're talking with Aaron, it's about sorting through those
things. And taking those nuggets that are going to help
the team, I mean, he's unbelievable. I
mean, he's get off his power, his strength. His, I mean, he
just has an unbelievable motor. I mean, the guy is never going
to stop. You can just feel his competitiveness just when he gets off the ball. Anything, anytime the NFL is
going to kind of emphasize something, we always talked about it with
the guys. That's something that they've
talked to us before they always in the past. And it looks like
this year after watching that game that they're definitely
going to be looking for it. So something we always address with
the guys. We always talked to him and we just got to make sure
we're legal. The changes that you've seen it
helpful last year to this year. It's funny you look at last year
and I mean, he hadn't really done a ton of practice.
So, we went into that Buffalo game last year, and it was going
to be exciting to see, kind of what he had done just
because, obviously what he had gone
through to get to, where he was.
And so now he's had all the off
season, he's had all the training camp. I mean, just seeing his
explosiveness, the different things that he's
capable of both in the pass, game, protection and Run game. Just is really exciting. It
allows you to have a true three down back. It's another guy that you know
kind of showed up and worked so hard was didn't really
know what was going on to start. But I mean he was just
talking to me the other day about how different he feels
going into this game compared to that first game last year. You
know, any time you're dealing with the rookie, the speed, the
competition, the amount of plays, all those things. Just so
different from college that, you know, just having a whole
full year with the same system under his belt. I mean he's
definitely come come a long ways.
