Taylor Fritz one spot remains in the final to take on yanic Center it's the All-American Showdown how's everybody doing we already got some names in the chat how's everybody doing I was just at the US Open and I'm going to talk about that and share some of my experience being at the tournament uh let me know if you're also at the tournament um I flew back today from New York um where I was at at the US Open uh so I have some stories to share about that and yeah we're gonna be doing a play-by-play of TFO versus Fritz which will be fun why is tennis always delayed that's what I'm saying it's annoying yeah don't forget to like share subscribe thanks Lexi hopefully uh maybe it's too late for you to to join in but all right so Francis TFO versus Fritz uh Fritz is Big has breadstick tifo in the Tad so far they played Seven occasions it's 61 for Fritz and uh Tifa won their first meeting all the way back in 2016 Indian Wells but Fritz has won the six meetings since then most of them pretty comfortable which fares well for Fritz honestly and um I mean it kind of goes back back to the point of Fritz is Fritz is a better server than tifo he's a better ball Striker than tifo tifo I'd say is a better movement maybe a little bit more craftier than Fritz so he's got some things going for him um TFO will want to play longer rallies I think in the match overall if he wants his best chance to uh chance to win Fritz willan stay aggressive and dictate off the forehand he's played awesome in the tournament so far uh he's had wins over Casper Roode he's had wins over zov in fact I can give you the players that they' both beat be Theo beting kovasovic shenko Alexi poin Ben Shelton and demitro uh demitro was injured uh towards the end of their third set there so um hope speedy recovery to demich yet again which is very is very upsetting but um poin jie jokovic that's a great win for TFO and Ben Shelton was playing incredible and that was the best batch of the tournament thus far in my opinion um so and then Fritz is beating Yugo Kelly T bertini komasa Casper rude and zov zov was a big one uh you heard the cheer from all over the grounds if you're there at the US Open uh that I was able to go um actually I I had a ticket for the tournament on one day and it had it was the day where um it was confirmed that this was going to be the matchup and that an American man was going to reach the final and uh when Fritz beats ver of everybody lost it because that was the big key after that it was Spritz TFO and demitro in the uh in the half so that was exciting players are warming up right now which American wins I'm going with Fritz uh Fritz has the leading head to head TFO plays different in US Open he's got a big motivation as well the fans love him there he's got unfinished business you could say but I don't know I mean Taylor Fritz he's had a different aura about him in this tournament even even like the post he's posting on Instagram like one more to go here we go like like I have it's almost like he's a man on a mission um so Fritz it feels like he's like playing for so much for the country and he so passionately wants to get it done and that's kind of dictating his performances which is kind of awesome but um he's also just playing great he's playing Amazing it feels like it's all lined up for this for Fritz it is his first major semi-final TFO has been here before which is a plus and TFO did well at the stage before uh pushed ALR to five sets saved a match point incredible match so um it's very close I could see TFO winning uh but I'm going to go with Fritz um I can't decide if I I think it's going to be four sets or five sets I'm leaning four sets I'll say Fritz and four but I think it's gonna be close it's GNA be close will he show the game we do we can't show the game but I will uh we'll have the play byplay JJ wolf how's it going I don't know what JJ's got to do with it but he uh listen one of these guys going to make a slam final he's going to be the next American to get to a slam final soon manifestation how's it going jera how's it going Joe hello hello hello I'm going big phone five okay cool uh yeah it seemed like the commentators on TV were kind of leaning TFO to get the win um they were saying that Fritz is the better Ma has the better is the better better uh player in this matchup uh but they said that they kind of think TFO is going to win this time I don't think so tfo's played way more tennis Fritz has dropped two sets tfo's dropped five sets and I feel like Fritz has also had tougher opposition um but he hasn't had that many long matches um I'm I feel like Fritz is gonna win but it's going to be close and I'm with TFO as well wow okay so a lot of people going TFO I'm gonna go Fritz and four we'll see it's not one of those where I'm just like right both both sides make sense so it's exciting this is I mean it's awesome that we get this matchup in New York at the US Open most packed Us open in years you know uh and we get an American the final and we have two Americans to to play for it too which is just and we have Fritz and TFA I mean I I love that Fritz is in this situation never gets his dues does Taylor Fritz honestly never gets the dues that he deserves so happy that get he's getting some respect here um with people respecting his run here their atet is 61 in favor of Fritz I'm still thinking tifo four or five all right we'll see we'll see not only is the head to head 61 though it's also like Fritz is one I I'd like to count up the sets but Fritz has won a lot of like the set count is pretty in favor of Fritz as well TFO hasn't won that many comparatively but uh we'll see we'll see serve forehand up high from TFO big forehand from Taylor Fritz 15 love 15 love but yeah let me know your predictions it feels like we're going overwhelmingly to yafo seems like everyone's overwhelmingly TOA I'm going Fritz and for serve big serve Why 30 love um yeah I mean I got to go to the US Open in person on September 3D which was super exciting um I didn't have a ticket to Arthur rash which was unfortunate but it was still so much fun um I got to take it to uh I got a grounds pass so I got to go to Louis Armstrong Stadium I got to see the practice cours I got to see Shri onch practicing I got to see demitro practicing I got to see CER practicing I got to see some incredible doubles matches I got to sit front row for uh the Double so that was it was really fun really really uh New York was a blast in general love that City all right here we go 315 for Fritz you've been bigging up Fritz all year so I'm not surprised you pick Fritz yeah uh no absolutely I've been I mean I feel like this is Fritz has been primed for a result like this I've said it for a while by the way uh a TW tweet that I made in October last year has aged pretty well I'll I'll I'll read it out but I feel like it's aged particularly well in regards to this welcome back en jooy hey I appreciate fa on how are you doing man um back in tifo down the line what a shot 4030 is that your first time in the US Open not technically but yeah I mean I I went to the US Open the last time in 2004 when I was three years old about to turn four so I can't remember that at all so yes I mean in all things that matter yes though my first time at the open it was awesome it was so crowded New York like I don't know it was so crowded but it was so fun it was surreal like right when we got there it surreal that the stre I've been watching forever is actually there all right Deuce TFO it's a great return to serve got stuff already from Fox yeah let me know guys have you guys got to the US Open yourselves have you been Joe serve on the te back in return that's back in the side advantage to Fritz advantage to Fritz yeah I got to meet um I got to meet peaches as well uh pachers walked up to me at the US Open and I had to have a I got to have a fan experience with her or I don't have Fan Experience the right word but she uh she walked up to me and we had a chat and that was super fun to meet her so that was that was fun the whole thing was fun uh the atmosphere in New York is unrivaled good serving from Fritz get get a little bit out of trouble there one zero nuran outside Europe okay got you yeah um fair enough uh but if you ever get a chance to go it's I'd super recommend it there's a lot of European tournaments I want to go to I haven't been in Europe since I was like two or three years old so I got to go there I got to take a Europe trip sometime for real um I really want to see Rome the Rome event is one that I particularly want to go to obviously roling garos would be quite exciting Wimbledon would be quite exciting um yeah that's all in the future ATB finals in Torin or wherever it will be in the future it would be fun yeah these two guys playing to see who will take on CER in the final if Fritz wins this match he'll go up to number seven in the world Tifa would go up to number 13 back in the net from Fritz 15 love for TFO um with a title tifo can crack the top 10 in the world um knocking off demor from the top 10 Fritz can go up to number six in the world he would pass Ru blove if he gets the title but obviously the points will stay so they have a much better chance of even increasing their rankings from there I mean anybody who gets a major title they have a great chance to at least get like number three or four in the world in general usually at least serve from tifo a for and a Fritz that's a great shot down the line great forehand that forehand has been great in this tournament really has been that's so cool Peter's a cool person yeah she was she was fun to she was fun to meet we need to get a credit for everything and have us all jetting around absolutely absolutely yeah that would be that' be fun I I want to travel for for tennis that'd be great um yeah that'd be a great opportunity to be able to go all over because I mean that's so what's so cool about tennis right it's all over the world toan the from TFO so couple close games service games from both to start us up 30 all what do you think of jpex chances tomorrow I think they're high I think they're high I don't know exactly what their record is sabinka Pula but 52 sabinka oh yeah yeah I looked this up I forgot yeah pagola beat her in the WTA finals last year last last year but um well obviously sabinka just beat her in the Cincinnati final which is won the few actually rare times that we've gotten Cincinnati final be the same as the US Open final 52 sabba okay and we're nice outside of Europe I've been to Texas I still haven't been to Texas actually hey how's it going Max hey we got everybody back this is this is awesome fun to see you be able to do this again I was out for a week because I was in New York I couldn't really stream stream from there I was busy walking around the city and go to the US Open in person it's a forand the net Fritz gets the first break first blood drawn for Taylor Fritz wow bad volley from Foe and a double fault some unforced errors creeping into tfo's game Fritz with some good returning and uh Suddenly It's two- zero for Fritz draws First Blood I I believe Al t took the first set against alcaras in their US Open match if I'm not mistaken in a tiebreaker he was down like six five and then he came back and won or something yeah he won the first set in a tiebreaker um yeah that's what happened the last time that he was in a US Open semi-final or in a slam semi-final played a five set epic versus alcarez for and TFO cross scth for and Fritz for TFO we have for a Fritz hits it big down the line it's 15 love for Fritz now one thing the crowd doesn't want to see is an easy day for Taylor um that's something crowd does not want to see I do think Fritz will be the fresher of the two he's looked so motivated in this tournament Taylor he's looks so loose I mean Fritz is just it just feels like it's all lined up for this tournament he started off the Year great at the Australian Open playing a fantastic match against Novak and his best performance in my opinion to that date honestly against sits boss to beat him when sits boss is usually so good in Australia and uh that's a great serve from Fritz um out wide so 30 love and uh it feels right to me that Fritz is uh Fritz has found something at the US Open it's very very nice to see for Fritz as somebody who's appreciated his efforts this year first serve goes wide backand of Fritz that goes out but basically not only is the head head pretty lopsided in terms of it's 61 for Fritz TFO has won uh two sets in their last six meetings like that that's four seven sets nine sets that's 13 sets for Fritz and two sets for tifo it just doesn't farewell the numbers for tifo really that's about I mean TFO picks up his level at the US Open but Fritz he's been playing Amazing this time around in New York he's he's absolutely loving it his forehands firing his seres good he's his back end's firing as well to be honest like he's just he's playing a great ball so Dio needs to make an athletic oh would have been ridiculous from Fritz but he just missed a pickup half Vol half volley kind of shot out off the back end side 4030 not really a half volley but like a pickup right off the balance at the back end but misses a wides 4030 for Fritz two zero Ser from the American out wide to let but yeah 13-2 in sets in the last six meetings overall it's uh four 14 and four so I don't know I just feel like Fritz Fritz is really just a better matchup against TFO TFO needs some make these points physical maybe come to net a bit as well could help um make it about you know he has some skills that Fritz maybe can struggle with a bit more when it comes to kind of you know drop shot slices net play uh moving up and down the court that kind of a thing so that's what TFO needs to make the match about if he wants to have a really good chance here and return Fritz is serve well and uh get to rallies hello hello hope you had a great experience at the US Open Anthony yeah Max it was awesome I uh yeah honestly I so I haven't been in New York since 2004 so it was really my first experience really in New York I fell in love with the city it was awesome I mean such an iconic City I got to do so much I got to go to the Met which was amazing got to go to the US Open on two days the 3D and the 5th um which was awesome I got to go to China town I got to see the Empire State Building World Trade Center um I got to go to Broadway I saw the show Hades town which was incredible um Broadway is insane um what else I went to Central Park I walked the entirety of the Brooklyn Bridge there I went to the end of the Brooklyn Bridge and back on the first day that I arrived to New York I walked over 50,000 steps which was nuts um I woke up at like 2 in the morning to get on a really really really early flight which was crazy too and then yeah walked around New York um just so many fun experiences um it was really nice it was really fun um yeah really really cool and uh yeah at the US Open I also saw a guy from my old High School tennis team which was cool too just randomly uh I they showed me on the Jumbotron and um he recognized me on the Jumbotron when they're like showing PE people in the crowd and showing people dancing and stuff I did like a funny dance or something and he recognized me and uh yeah it was and but he's like all the way from Georgia so it was It was kind of crazy that happened a couple times where I saw people that I knew from Georgia I just so happened to bump into them on the street it happened twice which was so weird to me that all the way in New York I would do I would see that but yeah it was really cool frit and TFA are great yeah anybody saying these two don't deserve to be in the semies haven't been watching the US Open these two have been playing awesome this is deserved and I've I've been saying that these guys are primed to have a tournament like this so this is exactly what we're heading for this these have been guys working hard and uh it's been deserved so I I'd love to see it I'll after this point I'm going to read out a tweet that I wrote in October last year which I feel like aged kind of well um Ser from TFO goes out 15 all this is why I wrote October 12 2023 this was a period when Americans weren't doing all that well but they were doing okay but this is what I wrote this could age badly but I think 2024 is going to be the best year for American men's tennis in 15 years if Cordis stays healthy I feel he is going to do well good depth now with Paul stepping up Fritz and TFO not at their best right now but both are hard workers and we'll find it again that's what I wrote in October last year so I feel like that's that's aged well as well um this 2024 with this US Open has definitely been the best year for American men's tennis in 15 years without a question whoever wins tonight will be the first American in a slam final men's singles first American man in a slam final men's singles since Andy rodic and 2009 Wimbledon final which Jesso happens to be the first match that I ever sat down and watched an absolute epic so uh history tonight either way yeah that was a cheeky prediction for me I'm glad I'm glad I have proof that I predicted that long ago more than 20 years yes I'm trying to remember the last All American men's final of the US Open uh has to be S pris A absolutely yeah 2002 2002 I think is London your next destination yeah I mean listen that' be cool um I want to go and if I go to London listen there's so many of you guys that are in London I got to go um for real I do want I am G to make it a goal to go to Wimbledon next year I want to travel a lot next year in general wow backand of tifo and I am going to travel lot next year 4030 tifo that's a big back and crosscourt see you in r r jaat maybe I I hope to go it would be fun um I I want to go to different places Iceland and hius or place I'd like to visit is New York more populated than London New York's not that populated actually we saw we looked it up it has like eight million people so definitely not um New York's not that populated not as much as you'd expect okay London's not that crazy either 8 9 million what is uh what is New York's exactly New York is 8.3 million so about the same but uh London is more populated it did feel like there was like a 100 million it was so loud New York is like the loudest City it's the city that ever sleeps for a reason for real back in volley what a shot from Fritz Fritz has gone to a new level man I mean I've I've seen in this guy I've been high up on Fritz for a while I've been high up on fris for a while and I'm glad to see the success finally coming through I really am happy for it I didn't expect it at this tournament but I'm happy that it's kind of come about actually I did say in my uh when I made a uh predictions for the US Open I did I did back Fritz as somebody who could do well at this tournament I specifically wanted to mention in my article I wrote an article for Quality shot.com I did mention Fritz there as a cheeky nod that he could have a good run here so not fully unexpected for my end but I definitely didn't see him making the final is New York more populated than London are there like eight million striking has been it's been super clean Fritz is just a man on a mission here in this tournament is my feelings we'll see what TFO can do though he's fought well in this tournament he fought against Ben Shelton he was down two sets to one he was down a set twice in that match and uh he's done well in this tournament no matter what tfo's reputation New York is cemented with this event he uh he steps up his level here for in of Fritz for of TFO cross score for of Fritz for M TFO back in Fritz cross cour the back in TFO back in Fritz back in TFO down the line a great shots squash shots in the net forand slice from Fritz goes in the net bomb the net okay Deuce yeah want CFO really insert himself here I believe that was people from Tio's box telling him you got to take some chances on the they could be now one of them will be the first man in 15 years to make to a slam final I got to speak to tifo this year in Atlanta open got to speak to Fritz last year in Atlanta yeah this is uh it's an exciting matchup no doubt about it I hope we'll get a close match no RIS injuries are vomiting I hope not but if we go by the match earlier Jer then we are gonna get some chaos no doubt what are your thoughts on the final tomorrow um Bola is playing great I sabinka is also playing awesome I feel like sabinka should have done better in the final last year when she was really expected to do super well than she ended up doing um I don't know I haven't been able to watch that much of the woman's uh event to be honest not even that much of the men's singles event either because I've been I've been walking around New York I haven't been watching that much of the of the tennis as I would have liked outside of when I'm I've been there in person and even then haven't been able I wasn't able to watch much of the singles um so I don't know that much I do know that Emma novaro uh was down a break against sabinka I think in the second set and then she broke back and I don't know I I I kinda I'm kind of feeling like Pula now that she's in the finals can make it really tough on sabinka she wasn't supposed to make it through against mova but now that she's in the final um I mean she's been playing Amazing Beach beon obviously in the quarterfinals I reckon I'm gonna take pagla uh I'm G to take Pula in three sets maybe in an epic epic match Revenge from Cincinnati that's my prediction for that sabba did play great last year she mentally crumbled in the final and lost fully agree so I kind of think you know you learn from uh you learn from things that have happened in the past I I'm gonna go with I'm going to go with paga in three sets to win her first slam and probably her only slam but she's great anyway so 15 love back on serve from the big Foe for and Fritz big forign ffo that goes out 15 all like I said earlier tifo has beaten kovasovic shevchenko poin Shelton and demitro he's dropped five sets Fritz has beaten Yugo belly Argentine bartini in a really fantastic performance komasa and then he beat Casper rude and Sasha Vero Taylor Fritz has dropped just two two sets despite playing bartini ver of and uh Casper Roode so Fritz is playing awesome TFA is playing awesome as well to be fair let's see back in that's way up high going to be easy for TFO hits it right back to fritzo the lob smash TFO slice Fritz's there at the 4and to the back in TFO forand to Fritz slice trying to get a miracle back to this point he does with a 4and cross score got some great defense from Taylor Fritz just really improved his his defensive capabilities wow he was I mean TFO should have finished off that point that slice was not a good approach I don't know what TFO was thinking there but a sign of mental fatigue there as he just lets Fritz back into that point four winners six on four STS for TFO to start this match 30 all sered on the t is just long huge serve 129 miles per hour but it goes out second serve it's another big SEC it's a big second Fritz gets it back end of tifo the back end of Fritz going back in back and a back in TFO back in a Fritz oh it's a bad drop shot from Tifa I don't know what's going on this game he's getting leads and points than giving him away like Christmas gifts 30 40 30 40 I need to watch more mova she's so fun I my favorite player to watch last year so happy she's she's back healthy because she's playing amazing here we go 30 40 break point for Taylor surf from Fritz back in Surf from TFO I should say that's a good four and crossb from tifo TFO is so talented man TFO is just he's such a crazy Talent the guy is unreal I if it's just a talent competition TFO wins you would probably say but tennis is not just a talent competition it's AET there another serve from TFO here for and Fritz for of drop shot back hand slice oh Fritz Falls go be careful it slips there Fritz laughs slip there from Fritz kind of an interesting moment at the net there he started laughing with the Offa but then he's like I felt like Fred start laughing with the Offa but he's like I gotta put on my serious face this can't be like a friendly competition I gotta I gotta get the most important win of my career I was a slip there that's what I'm saying how do people so seamlessly slide on hard courts if we're just talking about movement tifo has the upper hand if tifo can dictate these points to be longer and to be more movement oriented than movement around the court then that's what he's got to do if he can make these points about movement variety it's gonna be tough for Fritz sered on the tea it's a good serve for and inside out is good stuff from fo and the crowd explodes an explosion in New York r he might have slipped on SW Center sweat yeah hope hopefully he didn't slip on dra Draper's vomit Draper was vomiting all over the like all the time in the last match it's crazy what a chaotic match um the most chaotic semi-final of in US Open that I remember since jokovic versus gilmont Feast um uh what whatever year that was R draer yeah say same same thought jera same thought lob smash him Fritz tfo's there back in Spritz oh what a shot back in down the line 15 love for frit 3 three this is good already and we're six games in it's just a celebration huh celebration of uh American men's tennis being back on the map this is what I said we're going to people are going to start taking American men's tennis seriously when we get a man in the final I feel like that's what's finally occurred or what's gonna occur what are your thoughts on EA's results in Grand Slams this year well I've noted a long time ago Max that uh IGA she struggles in slams she does for her standards she struggled and slams outside of rolling Aros um she has the four rolling garos say she has just one other Slam in terms of her standards she she should have even more but here's the thing that almost crazy to say because she's 23 and she has five slams so but I'm just saying if we're just looking at her um let's say uh trajectory for the future it could be hard for her to pick up you know rack up an in insane amount of slams outside of rolling garos because I really think she has a problem performing at slam she's so much better than everybody at rolling G doesn't matter but I do think that she has a problem performing in the slams back in Cross Court yafo Court's not big enough 30 all that that was a big moment there up American tennis can get more popular again oh totally Max I hope so um I absolutely hope so cause listen Tommy Paul is is a great player as well Sebastian Corda and then you have a talented guy like TFO Fritz I think is very marketable and very very fun in his own right like like American men's tennis is great Shelton is a very popular figure now so we're starting to do well like if he won that match against alcaraz that set against alcaraz in US Open he should have won that whole tournament I'm sure he feels like he would have beenen casaro in the final so for tifo this is unfinished business this is W not just getting to the final but winning a grand slam that he should have already won and that's a powerful thing and motivation is a powerful Drive in uh in tennis I can tell you being on the US Open grounds and the atmosphere that day there's something in the air I just knew we were going to get two Americans in the semis like there was something in the air and um you know uh there's something in the air and I motivation is a big thing it's crazy that in sports motivation can play such a big big thing because you're motivated anyway always to win you want to win but if you have that extra motivation Fritz the main factor in the fritz verev match wasn't forehands backhands res serves it was the fact it was it feels like it was the fact that Fritz wanted an American man to get to the final so just having that mental motivation plays a big role I puked up while playing a Sunday League football match but it was my own fault for partying all night you have could put a uh put a mic up to your ear and listen into the play that's happening on other courts and like commentators talking about it I think I learned a lot from that which was fun and it that was a super nice thing to have at the open they they were giving those away for uh for free or for free if you had the right um I think you had American Express card so that was really cool American Express is like the main sponsor of this tournament you can see see it in big letters on both sides behind the behind the court back in Fritz the back in TFA goes across Court interesting approach that's not a good half F thefo very eager to come to the net which is a good thing that's it's going to help him if he's gonna win this match it's gonna help him win this match but he's gota he's got to have better approach shots than he's had so far he's got to find ways to strike the ball well from the back and maybe use the right amount of variety to will the points in his Direction and then find a good time to approach but he's got to build out these rallies too and the fritz forehand he's got to avoid I think in general pull uh pull Fritz out to the back end and move them around to the day that I had tickets to the US Open um I also went on September 5th but that was the day where it was open to all fans which is insane that that happens uh Arthur Ash is not Arthur Ash stadium is not open to the fans but everything else is open um but yeah I uh that was insane that um that the the one day that I happen to be there is the day that feder was there he was there to watch tifo demit and also sabinka versus uh versus young and uh um and I'm pretty sure that's the only day that feder's been at the US Open this entire decade I don't think he was there in 2020 uh because pandemic's up he wasn't there 2020 because pandemic's up 2021 he was injured with the knee I don't think he showed up to the US Open because it wasn't like he was officially retired yet 2022 and he hasn't been at the US Open since he retired so it's possible he was there in 2022 but I don't think he was um that was right before Labor cup when he officially retired I don't think he was there so uh the last time feder at US Open before that was when he lost to demitro in five sets um in the quarterfinals maybe of the US Open uh but yeah it was crazy to be know that I was in such close lot going on because New York is New York but I I saw a lot of people in US Open hats Roger feder hats talking about the US Open I saw players um you know on the big you know on the big signs everywhere Ben Shelton Coco goof it was really cool it was a really cool vibe to walk around New York while US Open was on especially this US Open where Americans are doing so well and to be there that day when this semi-final was set up was so exciting the cow atmosphere in the crowd like in on the grounds is awesome you just could feel the palpable excitement of everybody just that we we're doing so well for the first time in a long time in a slam for somebody to go because we've been close we've been close American men's tennis for a while now frit one Indian Wells we had a quarter of the round of 32 at The Wimbledon 2022 were American Fritz had that epic match against Rafa where he almost made the semi-finals was three points away from beating Rafa at Wimbledon um then we had Tommy Paul Ben Shelton Francis tifo uh we were heading towards something like this so TFO Cincinnati final so we finally we're finally here and it's awesome for TFO for and the FR that's shank TFO wins the first set 64 steals it playing much better tennis by the end of it it was a steady climb up it was a steady climb up turtle in the hair and Fritz is the hair and tifo is the turtle 64 for tifo playing much better tennis now and I'll show you the stats in the semi-final under lights in New York 64 and 47 minutes first of all I feel like TFO is serving extremely well let's see if the numbers prove me right yes TFO 64% first serves in first serve points one 81% fantastic this doesn't really matter because he's making most of his first serves in so it's fun um Fritz he's uh TIAA is converted on both of his break points also this so all around tfa's playing really well this could be better down the road he'd like to get this number up but still he'd like to come in more and he'd not making a lot of first Serv he's not hitting a whole lot of winners Fritz needs to hit more winners and make more first serves he needs to dictate and make it about Power Ball striking if he can little bit colder we've had 30 in some places today nice that's cool um yeah it's good I mean we're getting to the colder time times but it's good that it's not staying too cold and that's still pretty warm all right Fritz to serve he's got to mentally lock in cuz right now he can run with this momentum and if Fritz if Fritz goes down two sets to love then I Smell Trouble for Fritz Fritz has got a lock in in the second set I expect him to do just that 15 love I expect Fritz to lock in Fritz didn't beat Matteo bartini Caspar and Sasha ver of dropping just two sets for nothing he's not find their best tennis sure is y it's fair by the way really crazy thing that happened in New York I got I went to Broadway I don't know if anybody she has seen the show Hades toown or is listen to the soundtrack but uh first of all the show was incredible Hades town is amazing I've heard good things about it I need to watch it again to really get everything that happened but that show was incredible I'm not even a fan of musicals really in general but that was really like honestly like yeah I would recommend that to people who don't even like musicals like that show was freaking amazing um it was just an incredible genius piece of art really and to see it live and for everything to be out of 10 and be so perfect like one thing for a movie to be perfect is like that's cool um and I love movies like for a movie to be nearly Flawless like that kind of makes sense you do multiple multiple takes for a live show like that to be just feel so Flawless almost throughout is amazing like it's just amazing to see everything out of 10 like that so I really appreciate that by the way TFO 31 the service game but anyway I recommend sound to anybody even people aren't really big on musicals because that it really is a crazy good uh piece of art but um anyway uh funny story though um is that I uh I do theater or I've especially done theater in the past but I still do some theater and acting and I I want to do a lot in the future as well particularly acting maybe film acting and anyway uh I it just so happened that the person who ushered me to my seats on Broadway was a girl that I knew from Georgia in theater and I was like and I just recognized her and it was like completely unplanned I didn't know she was in New York the absolute chances of me knowing the girl all the way in New York from Georgia who was ushering me in the specific show was so unlikely and we took a photo together and caught up real quick and she even gave me this ticket to get like a free snack or a drink at the uh at the alcohol bar but um it was it was incredible like that the coincidence was so crazy is it only in New York I think right now it's only in New York because it's such a new show but highly recommend it's an absolute genius piece of art it's amazing I've only heard people liking it and it should be like that to be fair it's easier to understand many of the non-english players than it is to understand T I agree with you he mumbles through a lot of his words I agree with you but yeah that show is amazing um just the songs are so catchy and the show is uh there's a lot of anded back ends actually I I got to mix up though the one that I'm thinking of is uh there's another one where the one-handed back end is dead and then those one-handed back end players practicing favorite what's the best match that's happened in the US Open so far let me know your opinion for me it's TFO versus Shelton I still think that match was incredible still think that match was incredible Center versus Draper was fun earlier but it's not the match of the tournament but that one was fun to watch but um for me of the matches I've seen TFO versus Shelton but I need I need to there's some volleyball going on NCAA so there's some college sports and then there's also baseball and UFC so I'm I'm hoping that I mean baseball probably be the most popular I'm hoping that a lot of American eyes fall in this one too NFL season started okay cool cool Rude versus Shang okay yeah Rude versus Shang is fun that that was a good one two really great forehand two talented guys Rude first man to make it to a slam Final in 15 years history on the line forand that goes out and you would think that it's the first of many there's no reason that American sh America shouldn't play an absolute vital role in the sport in on the men's side I mean America has so many resources to get so to be at the top Echelon of the men's game especially if we could get a man in final suddenly the belief will start up again we have so many guys there um I'm not just talking about guys that are actively playing but guys guys that will come up in the future like it's a big deal like whoever gets whoever wins this their name will remain in history it's Pro I mean I kind of think it's probably gonna end up being the longest stretch of time that we'll ever have without an American man without and not getting to a final of Islam so whoever gets it will make history for mtiaa back in Fritz down the line for him TFO cross cor for and slice of Fritz and not that many countries in general I've got into the final of slams recent like in the last 20 years just because Serbia Switzerland Great Britain and Spain have been have gone to the finals of everything with Murray nidal feder and jokovic they've been hoarding Grand Slam finals so it's partly that mostly America's not been having as good performers recently Marty fish John nner James Blake like it's not like there's no one Sam query but I mean Jack sock but there's like no one of this kind of a a level like like a Taylor Fritz like a tifo who are now uh you know back to uh making SL finals I I mean you could say Marty fish is at that level for sure and James Blake for sure as well but um they weren't able to get to one one of these guys has an opportunity and it's in my opin it's a well-earned opportunity serve down T back in a Fritz for TFO inside out back in slice of Fritz back for him TFO cross score for in Fritz goes down the line goes out let's go t from TFO it's 33 F big fo's got to step up right here right now really lock in because if he can get a break here Suddenly It's gonna look really bad for Fritz he's gota he's got momentum right now he's got to use it two sets to love on Fritz is that would be I mean the even thinking about trying to beat uh tifo here in the semi-finals in front of of this crowd to win three successive sets it seems like nearly an impossible task so this is when tfo's got to really bucker down let's see I was really into UFC back in the day I like watching it it's fun I enjoyed the vage and J match apart from the result yes good one as well rematch of the Olympics you've got a massive population that always helps yes that too yeah we go like 300 million people so absolutely and a lot of tournaments professional Juniors uh Futures big Foo doesn't care about which I guess professional as well uh bigo doesn't care about all the media hype he just wants to play tennis yeah well I hope I hope he can perform to his best Tao will take this I think if I was a betting person my money would be on him I'm I still feel like Fritz is in this but let's see let's see I I kind of I kind of feel that though tifo TFO is going to be motivated for this one he's playing Amazing tennis getting through that Shelton match was a big Catalyst for him in this event no doubt he's up and running back in the fouring of Fritz that's a good shot Inside Out TFO leaves it pretty much at 4-3 already but it's 41 Ser from Taylor kicker that's a great serve from Taylor 43 for Fritz we'll see what Fritz can do himself I don't think Fritz is gonna let the uh let this go easy at all frit is not gonna let this go easy at all who's the better worst matchup for Center Taylor Fritz without a shadow of a doubt in my brain honestly that's my opinion Center J TFO and Cincinnati played great TFO did have his chances there but in my mind no shadow of a doubt it's Taylor Fritz Taylor Fritz the two matches that he's played against Yanik both Fritz played so crazy good he played so crazy good in both matches that he's played against CER uh when C when Fritz beat played center in 2021 Indian Wells he beat him like 64 63 Center was already like top 10 top 15 in the world Taylor Fritz was not that um and uh Taylor Fritz just dominated it was in Indian Wells so he plays better in Indian WS but Fritz played like a top five top 10 player it was incredible when I watched that match I said to myself Fritz might win a hardc court Masters sometime soon and I have proof that I I said that like right before I won Indian Wells um Fritz played incredible it was an unbelievable match from him and then they played the very no two years later at Indian Wells again one of the most underrated matches from last year three set match in Indian Wells Center versus Fritz incredible ball striking from both Fritz played amazing again Center just played out of his head um but Fritz uh Fritz played a hell of a match so both matches that Fritz has played against center it's been tough and if Fritz is in the final I mean listen I don't I don't know would it be fair to say that tifo they're both motivated to win for America right they're both motivated to win for them they're both motivated to win for America but TFO I feel like is especially motivated maybe to win at this stage because this is where he lost to against alcarez Fritz if he gets to the final I feel like he can I don't know I feel like maybe Fritz has a better chance of taking it all the way especially with Center in the final I feel like one-1 head to head is better than 4-1 Center leading TFO I feel like I feel like Fritz for me without Shadow of Doubt that's my opinion for me Fritz partly because we just saw siner uh beat TFA in Cincinnati as well by the way I just thought about it Cincinnati finals could be exact rematches on the men's side and the women's side when's the last time that's happened has that ever happened Center is a different Beast this year Well since Vienna last year really but it was I mean I always saw it coming to me saw it coming so Center center medy match was weird I I didn't watch it because I was I was walking around Time Square so I I didn't I didn't see it um I've only caught highlights afterwards of it but um I mean I've seen some good rallies from that match what was weird about it I'm honestly very tired in jetl because I just arrived in New York for my flight today I don't know if jetl does right where but I'm tired um didn't sleep that much last night it was an early flight slept a little bit on the plane that's what it is good shot from TFO backing down the lines 415 other cool thing I got to see um I got to see Forest Hills which is where absolutely iconic venue they just played the UTS uh Championship there that Ma won against uh day today I don't know what's wrong with him but anyway he's a great player but strange um Center playing so well though he clut CER was clutch in that second set tiebreaker he was what an awesome player Center isn't he's just an awesome player and now that's what sucks is now whenever yanic Center does anything there will be comments like oh he's on roids and steroids and stuff but he's a great player jber has zbed in many matches that's what I think maybe diet it could be it's just strange think about an alternate reality if bjorg didn't retire 25 yeah but I think everybody has the journey that they have like bjorg still added like an eight-year career 17 to 25 um and uh maybe he just mentally couldn't handle it after after that he did try to come back a few years later so I don't know I feel like maybe everybody has a journey they have for a reason but if he could have maintained that level you know uh for you know for the years after that especially if he could have figured it out at the US Open as well um he never won the US open so if he could have figured it out at the US Open as well I mean he could have ended up with 20 plus Majors you know that could have been a that could have been a scenario like that Fritz goes out with the forehand looking at his box it's 30 love for tifo seems to struggle in heat Draper I agree I need to read bjor Borg's book yeah 30 slams I don't think it's fully out the question I don't know if with alarz but with somebody and maybe alarz who knows alcra does have the advantage of learning from The Big Three without having near end of big three I agree with you I I mean I kind of think I I was the guy that was kind of saying that alcaras is pro like realistically might end up with 13 Majors but after Wimbledon I kind of think he might the guy like if somebody's GNA get to like a crazy slam record I kind of think Al might might be the perfect guy it depends on if he stays healthy but in the scenario that alra stays let's say healthy for 90% of his career at least let's say that like alra stays healthy for 90% of his career at least um ALR got what grew up watching The Big Three got to see them live in person and learn from them got to play against Novak and see Novak at an incredible level get motivated by Novak who's playing some of the best tennis ever I mean even at 37 years old the Olympics final got to learn from the big three and see some of the best tennis ever played get a little bit from each of them um but not have to play them too much and then you also take into account um he started off super young winning slams really young winning slams in big tournaments um very complete player can play on all three surfaces um and uh yeah you take into account that he's an amazing player at Grand Slams and best of five in general um if he stays healthy he might be the guy obviously can play some of the best tennis anyone's everever played nobody's even questioning that at this point so um he didn't start off that strong Fritz but I mean the level was high though the match was insane match was really good that number can always go up we'll need to go up against Center but the serving like win like this is what matters and anyway he still won 36 out of 55 second Ser points so um winners was amazing a lot of winners from both this kind of says a good story a lot of these unforced STS were at the end from tifo No Doubt um yeah incredible incredible stuff all right I'm gonna I'm gonna head out um I'm going to head out great match from both high level from both I'm excited about last two matches were kind of underrated in in two different ways I feel like Fritz his performance against Center and their first match was really underrated it's one of the best like early performances of Fritz's career and their last match was just incredible from both so I think the final is going to be good and I'm honestly really excited that this is a grand SL final so um Taylor
