Aaliyah Tribute 23 years since we lost a such a positive great artist!

the plane crash that killed a rising star in the world of music and film reaction today after Aaliyah and eight others were killed when their plane went down was my best friend she was a beautiful person on the inside and out and um I'm just shocked [Music] Val Val meile your looks [Music] unable [Music] you're you're a great singer what else do you do well of course I love to sing and I love to dance and act and I love swimming swimming terrific all around [Music] girl Goode just when your friends are with you isn't it weird cond you see these big billboard posters with your name on it and it says aiyah don't what happens I mean do you go past do you acknowledge it or do you just kind of I do I acknowledged it I went to ferland and they had a poster and I was like oh wow there goes me and it's it's a good feeling now a cute little stomach I was like what was the concept for that I mean that was kind of funky the uh the recreation center and the basketball and everything yeah just having fun with the kids you know what I was just I wanted to thank everybody in La for coming down cuz that was right after the earthquake oh really and all the kids showed up at the video yeah they really supported me and and after the earthquake they were a little shaking up and they still yeah and I was still a little shaking what aah got in the future I mean I mean you got some stuff going on right now but what's your longterm goal Leah well stay in the entertainment industry as long as possible venture out into other things maybe acting something like that but right now I want to make sure my musical career is stabilized go to college things like that so my singing is my number one love so make sure I got that together alah alah toah God bless alah today day that's cool God bless alah and [Music] every way Hy you know I'm chilling happy to see you CH chilling together I got for having me hey you know we have the Aaliyah here today you everybody's excited got tons of folks running around want to see you cuz you look so fabulous in this movie Romeo musty and you did a wonderful job in it by the way thank you so much so is this something you want to get into the whole acting thing yeah I've wanted it for a while and um I waited for the right project the right role and um got my coach I work with all the time I had them on set so it's something I definitely want to get into so you said you waited for the right role so this is something you've been kind of plotting and planning and what kind of role were you looking for well I wanted a character that was similar to me in a lot of ways being that I have an image that people they know they're used to seeing me a certain way I wanted the first character I did to be somewhat like the Alia people know and Trish is independent she's tough she's edgy and I felt that would coincide [Music] with what's up what's up this is Beyonce on the red carpet with one of the hottest female artist out here miss leyah how you doing girl bab it's so good to see you again you too she's just looking fabulous what are you wearing tonight I'm wearing Gucci Gucci shoes Gucci got a little Indian jewelry working oh that is hot all right now you've been working it with these movies were you nervous very nervous but I'm real happy it's something I've wanted for a long time so finally make that transition it's great you're doing another movie this summer right hopefully hopefully things work [Music] out was she not smiling [Music] [Applause] I get you over here please I get you please there just Po in our way I want B right here please beautiful Leo great couple more right here gam Leo get you guys [Music] [Music] good if we'll do it if we don't do it this play back [Music] let's go again camera comes up push it in a bit do it if we don't do it with this one [Music] do in wait watch your head watch watch your watch your head I got you go
