welcome to the channel we're doing the blood angels again sulan is back with a full on death company list blood angels in black and up against them is the death guard again cuz last time you went up against the death guard and we saw how they got on so I thought it would be a nice equalizer to go against the death guard again to see how this list gets [Music] on so we have a lovely table set up for you battle map from game m.u all this MDF terrain that you can't get anymore but these big crates they're all from gamemat.eu we're doing janky deployment with fog of War which is basically everyone gets cover in turn one and you can't spend any CP on any strats and then after turn one you can forget the mission rule which is nice which is why I like that mission Rule and we're also playing Lynch pin Lynch pin's also a pretty cool game the way it works is all the objectives on the table are worth three CP and it doesn't cap it anything but if you hold on to your home field objective it would be worth 3 CP the other objectives will be worth five one minute it's core strats you can use book strats uh and everything gets cover welcome back to the channel Sal play from Sal play YouTube channel say hi suan hi s uh so death company yes how many of you painted in the last couple of days 33 in two weeks I wanted them done I was so excited this is the most buzzed I've been about the Hobby in a long time and I'm always pretty buzzed about the hobby this is good um why why in particular why we buzzed because the blood angels were my first true love so I had I had Space Marines beforehand the void Walkers who've come on the channel a couple of times and they've changed form and shape because I enjoy painting but they were never like that fun to play they were like Ultra Marines and it would for some reason didn't Jael with me we played a game when I just started during lockdown when I was us P bubble we played a game where I just started blood angels and something clicked in my head I'm like I love this and it was just running at you and being able to take things out and you were like this is scary and I was like I like seeing the fear so we've gone a long way since there and blood angels are still my first love and greatest love nice right this is just south of 2,500 points don't know if I mentioned we're doing 2,500 point games here because basically when sa added all the black stuff together that's how many points it came to yes death company have Oath of moment they do and their rule is they roll ones to wound so long as one of them is below so long as you take a wound I'm going to look in the book and the other thing is if they're below half strength then they reroll all wounds yes so if I'm below starting strength roll R rolls run as you said and then roll all the wounds if below half strength so I think big blobs is the way to run them yes and they also death company reroll all hits that's what they do on their data sheet and they will have a six up feel no pain that's what they do on their data sheet we should first talk about the elephant in the room I think or big mama with the two little baby ones over here yes these are all the same dreadnut yeah veteran players will recognize these as the OG death company dreadnut so when James Workshop said hey this is the new uh death C redn I went well I already have two of those yeah so it's um it's uh Daddy and babies and they're going to go along they're the same data sheet the only thing that's different really is the base size but who cares we're friends yeah so yeah and I really like these guys cuz they reroll all hits cuz they're death company with a six up feel no pain but the brutalist radol also and they are brutal rut they also reroll all wounds as well that's right so you're rrolling all hits rrolling all wounds six up field no pain and never surge move yeah that's right trip and I to be honest the fact that you haven't got three over all this I like the it looks good the Synergy looks good it looks different looks cool and play 40K however you want to play 40K if you got some of the things running around the baby ones and your opponents are happy with it and play with the things like a Spartan Legends choice you like your Spartan you paint the inside San I like Legends CH let's have a look I like Legends choices I like Spartans death compy don't have access to many tanks that are painted black so I thought I'd paint this one black and stick a bunch of angry mans inside nice so yeah really excited um great hobby time on this and I'm really excited to play with it so what have we got so the warlord today is asath yes he is the high chaplain or the Redeemer of the lost so he's the one who kills the death company when they get too unruly and he makes sure they're used wisely in their final moments he has two cool things one is that on a four up when any anyone in his Squad dies they get to fight back for free which is fun better than interrupting I think cuz they're going to die anyway and then he also gives them devastating WIS if they charge which for 10 guys with five attacks each rrolling everything is a lot yes yes so these guys roll and this is the same for all the jump pack squads these guy roll charges and they roll all hits which is fun so we got Big Blob of 10 Big Blob of 10 and then there's a blob of five over here okay we'll come to the captain now he's a death company Captain so he gives them sustained hits one which is good um and he also has death visions of sanguinius so as well as rolling hits when he dies on a he does the high Marshal hbre thing of mortal wounds so hre does at the start of the fight does mortal wounds on a certain role yeah this guy just does it when he dies in close combat in close combat and if he's with the warlord cuz he thinks it's Horus he gets plus two to that role okay I've also given him a 25 Point upgrade of on a two up he gets back up with three wounds and we've just checked the wording we think he can do it twice yeah so he has death Visions twice cuz he thinks he's dying and it turns out he's actually all right he gets knocked down he goes absolutely crazy kills people in moral does mortal wounds gets back up again because of the enhancement and then when he goes down again do it again it's beautiful provided he survives to the next engagement yeah yeah yeah so that's fun same Squad here we've got lamarti by the other blob of old school death company Marines here jumps um we won't talk about their weapons it doesn't matter right now he gives them all lethal hits and minus one to all damage incoming which is really good two minimum of one yep we've got probably my favorite Squad of the entire lot because whilst I love jump packs these guys have sustained hits one when they're below starting strength sustained hits do below half strength as well as all the rerolls and the wounding so they're going to be an absolute blender with a chaplain to keep them under some kind of control in a Spartan yes we have a chaplain in training who for all intents of purposes today is a chaplain CU I don't have that many chaplains I'll have to get a couple more with a fiveman squad doing the exact same thing also in the Spartan and then some bolt rifle guys here who are in the impulser hopefully not falling to the rage two often as they fly around cuz they need to be close to a chaplain so these guys are battle line so you've got one two three four chaplains cuz asra and lares have the chaplain keyword and you need chaplains if you running death company because while they're within 12 Ines of a chaplain they they keep their OC of one and they can fall back yes while they're further away from a chaplain they got OC zero and they can't fall back back so you need chaplains everywhere but to be fair B's got a pretty good OC you've got an impulsor there you got a couple of death company dreads yeah the drivers of these are sayane so yeah maybe maybe don't want to be too close to everyone but these guys can do all their normal upset things if they need to so this unit this list is all about killing because I might be able to OC off of a few things here or there I absolutely think you can have scor me things yeah so it's going to be interesting to see how this goes let's look look at the death guard and this is south of 2,500 points of death guard which gets sticky objectives and and they we also have contagions and contagion range is 3 6 or 9 in away from a model depending on what battle round it is and while you're in Contagion range you're going to have a toughness go down and your armor save go down and this time I didn't bring 10 Terminators and typhus for the blood angels to come smashing into in fact haven't brought any Terminators whatsoever said I brought more to in for you to hunt down and Moran's pretty cool while any death guard unit is within 6 in of him you never suffer anything negative modifiers so no minuses to hit no minuses to wound and stuff like that he also has an aura which I always leave on as R roll wound rolls of one when you're in range of him and he's a beast he's four up inv vulnerable save is a five up feel no pain you should be able to take it maybe not eight Lance cannons to the face but we'll see well have a go well have a go um also along demon Prince Steve he's got a deadly pathogen gets him an EXT strength and attack so two good close combat monsters there I'm talking about close combat monsters cuz I'm not running Terminators are brought along two units of 10 plague Marines in there there's five heavy plague weapons you can do two for every five people and then the sergeant can take one as well so five heavy plague weapons are basically five lethal hitting power fists and we have a biologist putrifier and a foul blight spawn which is going to you join one Squad this G gives fight first that makes lethals go off in fives instead of sixes cuz they've got lots of plague weapons plague weapon shooting plague weapons in close combat there's two blight launchers in each of the squads as well so crits go off instead of of fives instead of sixes with a fights first unit and grenade strap on this fell down here and then over here we have a chaos Lord and a Talman now the Talman and this unit they they jump in another unit of plague Marines Talman gives you plus one to hit the chaos Lord means you roll hit rolls of one so all the stuff that's hitting on threes is going to be hitting on twos re-rolling ones and all the fists that normally hit on fours will hit on threes and the chaos Lord is a mortal wound bomb as well at the end of the battle round so we want to see if two units of plag Marines can actually punch stuff today along with Steve and mortarion 20 pox Walkers to guard my HomeField objective couple of um chaos spawn running around all over the place they have a feel no pain and they regenerate wounds in the command phase that's Sultan's command phase and my command phase two rhinos for the two squads of plague Marines to go in two plague B crawlers triple drones all with the spitters CU I want to push forward and push out contagion ranges and I didn't have very much anti-tank so I've brought along an Alli Detachment of two brigin last time I brought one big Knight this time two baby Little Knights brigin hit on twos when they shoot cuz got Gatling gun in one hand and a dragon breath thermal spear in the other hand hit onto is quite nice and the multi melters that they have there they're 24 in range not 18in range and they're melter four not melter two uh they don't obviously want to be in combat because they're just kicking stuff but their job is to stay floating around the back and shooting things of course if they're shooting it stuff enemy stuff that's within contagion range of any of the death guard then those contagion range Buffs will stack so the Gatling gun in the right fist for example which is 12 shot strength 6 minus one one damage strength six shooting into a death company that could potentially be toughness three with our armor save down because they're close to my light it could be painful it could be painful um yeah the spawner there to score secondaries and as of the drones zip round all over the place but I've got some punch I've got some shooty it's going to be very interesting should be able to outscore on primaries maybe we'll see if you're there if if I'm there if I'm alive at the end of it I'm really interested to see just how blendy death guard are are they blendy enough to get through the disgusting stink of the death guard let's go to the deployment and find out I wonder how many times I'm going to call your death company death guard and my death guard death company I wasn't going to say anything I like you just done an amazing Spiel and I didn't want you to to Res shoot it that's about the only time and here we are after the deployment and suan put all of the units with jump packs in reserves which he counted up it's 980 points you can reserve up to half of your army so essentially if I went first cuz I've got mortars and things you didn't want them on the table and mortars coming in like last time andig BL yes so stuff is in the vehicles and then we've got three death company dreads over here you had five drops I put one of the feted bloat brones in reserve because um well I got threee of them and the idea is a feted bloat drone and some spawn and uh one of the brigin follows the Rhino round this way and then one of the drones and the Rhino and the brigan follows that Rhino around I've got the same on the right and left with the pushes so I didn't know what to do with the third drone so I stuck it in reserve and I put morar in front and center cuz I kind of want you to shoot at him with cloud of flies soaking up all the shots but I also kind of want him to go first and just push up onto the central objective backed up by Steve but I did hide some stuff back we're not counting these as ruins this is true line of sight all over the place this is industrial sector enclosed stuff and things um so yeah if you can see it you can shoot it and we're ready to rock let's see who goes first so roll a five I've rolled a three suddenly I'm thinking I should have hidden Moran and and the orders for the death company are to secure no man's land and assassinate a character then it was at that point Sultan realized that he actually needed to score some objectives yeah actually think about it normally just thinks to score so a Champlain with some dudes have got out on the HomeField objectiv so they have an OC of things and then you advance with the impulsor the impulsor not firing I think you r a four or five or something yeah and you just touched the edge of that objective there and the impulser does have an OC it's not comp carries them yeah so you're securing one objective in no man's land yeah and then we ran forward a little bit with the death company dreadnots the Spartan is up and over at the barricade and looking at assassinating mortarion so I'm definitely spending the CP on cloud of flies to make him minus one to kick yeah because he is the oath of moment Target eight L Canon shots for the win fours rrolling for oath I've got three hits so far six I don't do anything no no um you made me spend my CP anyway that's good right strength 12 versus toughness 12 is the tricky but fours uh there's one just one four up and vulnerable save I fail that D6 plus one three three damage feel no pain I take two wounds he's on 14 remaining 20 TN link not twin link the moment yep and then Sixers and link one wound one wound minus one but plus one because everything has cover in turn one yes and and that's it that's the end of death company turn one zipping forward failing to AC thanks I didn't pick up the DI uh zipping forward to secure no man's land on one objective for two points as we go to death guard turn one my orders extend my battle line so hold my HomeField objective and one in no man's land that one should be doable bring it down take down one of those Vehicles like a Spartan that might be tricky the end of all things push forward and extend their battle lines on the right and on the left but certainly not right in the middle because Spartan funbus full of pain and hate so moharan actually stayed a little bit further back CU you can get out and assault after it moved and maybe that will make the charge range a bit too long but around here we're extending our battle lines that drone had to advance to get there and the idea is it's kind of move blocking ready for a counter punch I mean if all three of these death company dreadnots come around here I it's three death company dreadnots but I've got this that could shoot at it in a bit plus the guys inside that can punch it plus Steve there's a lot of counter punch here and the spawn are blocking the Gap so uh in case the contents of the spotm want to come zipping round same on this side advanc with Rhino Advance with drone to get uh in range of that objective there and take that objective off off of suan and there's a lot less pain coming around this way and I figured for bring it down taking down the Spartan would be tricky cuz range is a thing and line of sight is a thing but I could take down an impulser surely I can take down an impulser so I've lined up some guns to fire in we start off with Moran's pistol the lantern hits on a two that's a hit strength nine I don't know if that wounds does wound five of vulnerable save no that's three damage from the lantern right let's fire this brigand in with the demon breath spear um and it hits on twos demon breath spear melter strength 12 melter threes that's a wound minus a bajillion nope no D6 damage at this range takes off another two that's fine I'm not going to see p i can't even see p roll it's round one we have a Havoc which is D6 shots which hits and it strength five and wounds no AP that can fire indirectly as well the Havoc for like nibbling stuff and then the Avenger chain cannon anti-infantry fire twos so it's fives to wound and you get a full three up save against that was that four wounds four three saves and three more wounds gone how many wounds has it got left because three mortars three wounds left do I start indirecting fire with some mortars I think I might have to we'll put two entropy cannons into it and the mortar will come up and over and is this the new model the big one they're all three are technically new right let's Sho repainted them all we'll shoot with the big one with the mortar ENT cannons entp cannons into impulsa two ENT cannons they both hit strength 10 so I'm winning you on threes one of them wounds it's minus three minus five open bun five open I'm good you make okay the mort has D6 plus three shots four minimum number of shots which U missed it was plus three so you got one got one more shot it's plus three one more yeah okay one of them hits It's strength eight doesn't wound um okay which one was this that was that one you can see him no the mortar was going into the dreadn oh yeah oh I'm going to Surge move then what D6 plus two I'm moving 3 Ines forward sorry what did we learn we we have to get here yeah you have to get here so um he doesn't do anything right and I was going to say that I'm not firing the other Mortor that way because that one did nothing and I need to kill the impulsive for bring it down so I'm doing everything with the guns from this one into impulsa try and kill impulsa here's the entropy Cannons of course one of them misses I need to wound on a three I don't wound the mortar I can see you at least so we're hitting on threes and that one's Le though and then these ones are wounding on fives that is only one wound at minus one got plus one cuz you're fine I don't blow it up uh well the Drone Advanced there's two the tank Advanced so they can't is it firing deck but Advanced they don't have assault weapons you live um one minute have I that was a brigand and two tanks it should be dead it should be dead nothing here can see the things here I think that's the end of my turn so both forces move into this battle grid and both suffer from a little bit of a false start at the end of turn one I will pick up five points or four points for extending battle lines and at the start of turn two something will hold on to three points for locking down his Lynch pin objective over here have seed him off the other ones though and put a lot of stuff In Harm's Way hopefully hopefully most things are out of charge distance from all the stuff that can come busting out of the spun regard to death company turn two so it's Five Points each something kept assassinate in his hand because there's lots of characters I have and I kept bring it down in my hand and S also wants to establish a locust that's the old deployed teleport hom is either in the center of the battle Grid or in your opponent's deployment zone right so it turns out that death company are quite interesting to play cuz Salan had about 28 different ideas there keeping chaplains in range of stuff there's also a strat that allows you to advance and charge and if you're in range of a chaplain after you moved you can shoot advance and charge yeah so potential putting chaplains back here so other units can anyway long story short the impulsor dropped off its cargo then Advanced backwards yeah and the cargo moved across here and is establishing a locust in the middle of the battle grid for a couple of CP there planting a flag they're doing a ritual they're drinking some blood probably the one drinking wine blood and where they were is now AST the Grim with a 9in charge into that fed blo drone and S looked at me and went do you want OverWatch and I was like well if I wound you in OverWatch then your army gets to roll ones to wound yeah uh so no I'm not shooting you with a fair blow drone I said fair enough so if you make that 9 in charge your Buffs aren't turned on yet uh that's if you make the 9 in charge and then back here the impulser and the other team they're holding on to this back field objective around the other side there's three death company dread Nords coming down towards a feted blo drone I've placed the fletter blo Drone geniusly so you can't sit it's mama and the two ducklings yes off they go uh there's going to be a lot of death over here then a lot of counterpunch over here this flank is going to be very interesting then down in the middle Spartan move forward oath of moment on motar in you've still got assassinate that would be a 6in charge for the death company in the middle and I didn't OverWatch them either so let's go to the shooting phase Spartan shooting everything up mortarion again mortarion cloud of fing again yeah so he's minus one to hit so fors with the roll for oath of moment and that was only three again that's what you did last time it is it's the wounding that's hard though it's the wounding that's hard you need Force to wound he's a b old tough dude three wounds oh it looked better than it was three four plus and vulnerable saves fell one D6 plus one yes five five damage five feel no pains he's on 14 wounds he drops another wound he goes down to 10 wounds remaining melter of the multiv variety with oath of moment and this is going to need a five to wound yeah it doesn't wound and then we got a Balter Balter which will hit on fours and then wound on sixes so it's twin link all three new dice yeah no nothing now Squad in side of the Spartan that got out that wants to charge him are firing all their pistols in as well there's two Inferno pistols in that squad one Inferno pistol one Inferno pistol in that Squad hits on a not that with cloud of flies misses and a bunch of Bolt pistols which would do so then we F all the pistols in wounding on sixes no further wounds caused on motari is on four remaining yeah then over here the squad with Astera fired in over the head of the Drone into the Rhino and he overcook the plasma yeah and then he faed a hazardous check and he died and he died so that now rolling wound rolls of one took another wound off the Rhino with a a heavy bolt pistol as well it's down to seven wounds remaining yeah didn't think anything was going to happen over there but should have definitely film that one um the death company dread round here are you shooting at the thing you want to charge or you shooting past like rhinos start cuz I can there only a small charge around there so I'm going to start with the back guy firing at this drone okay so he has uh two a multi melter twin multer hitting on uh threes both of them hit wounding on strength nine wounds on fours fours twin link one wound five up vulnerable save make it and then he has a an Icarus Iron Tail heavy stub that thing on top but yeah they all have it okay so hits those times sixes to wound yeah but twin linked we have three wounds three wounds minus three wounds into the Drone it takes a wound aound okay next one along okay so hitting on threes melter wounding on a four twin linked that's cocked that's [ __ ] as all hell can't a five that's a five five plus invulnerable save no D6 plus two cuz he's right there yep for seven seven so it's taking eight wounds in total I think it's on one left one or two Icarus on top then yeah uh hits all the times okay sixes to win this is emptily four plus I didn't realize okay four to Wi twin link twin linked uh four no AP four wounds no AP I need another dice four thp saves it's definitely dead does it deadly demise it doesn't deadly demise you're taking down my drone what's big mama doing then uh putting everything into this cuz I'm in Bri so what shoot the brri and charge the Rhino you don't want to shoot the Rhino crack it open get the guys out char mind you if you get the guys out I could put them behind and make the charge really impossible yeah I'd rather just blend okay more Ms on thre two hits both hit toughness slots that's 10 so fives twin link though change dice uh that's neither neither okay and we got the thing on top yes which hits uh twice and six to wound twin link two two wounds into the brigand and it's fine so that's the end of the shooting phase you killed a drone and empowered the unit with astrath over there now we're charging this dread needs a five to hit the Rhino he's in and that's a 10 he's definitely going to hit the Rhino the other one's kind of blocked for now but uh if he dies then there's wave two wave three so on so on we have a 6 in charge into mortan yes okay they don't make it so I'm going to have to command point that uh yeah these guys already reroll charges so I'm going to come on point this one jump pack one's roll charges that's right so I'm going to CP this charge that's six just get in and then a 9 in charge with asath into the flamer Drone thing and that's an 11 here we are at the start of the fight phase you selected the unit of death company that charged mortarion first and then he popped a stra cuz you piled in a long way yes um and it allows you to Pile in six instead of three yeah so normally you do um D3 plus 3 instead of 3 in but if I've got a chaplain it's just Auto 6 and I rolled a small charge so yeah and that allowed you to get everyone in close combat and then you spent your last straty on something rful Rampage lost to rage get plus one strength doesn't matter plus one attack does matter and plus one AP really matters okay so yeah lots of good stuff there and we're going to start strength damage and attack and AP for one CP um ascra is over there in that drone um yeah this is we're going to start I don't have if the CP to interrupt but it is it's going to be sixes to wound start with a power fist hitting on threes rrolling either because of O the moment or the black rage yes they all hi okay strength nine now doesn't matter five to wound uh no wounds nothing okay and then we've got two eviscerator okay uh which hit on fours okay you're adding in your bonus plus one to wound I need to remember that plus one to wound chaplain oh yeah did you get any fives on the other one I don't roll that to hit we do do the fours to hit on this one we'll go back and check I don't think I did get any fives of that okay so we're hitting those times we haven't got sustained hits yet because we're not injured seven would normally win on five eight plus one to wound for to for to wound three wounds oh yeah uh inventable saves cuz your plus is to no nothing how much is damage is in six yeah okay um let's feel some pain hopefully not feel much pain I feel I don't feel much pain still on check the footage you didn't get the wound thing eviscerator is also a sustained hit but you didn't get any sixes to hit so we're good we're good now we're going with a bajillion chains swords yes s hi chain swords are normally only at minus one a yeah they're minus two now the strategy yeah it's good yeah um so if I didn't have a chaplain I'd be taking hazardous checks for every single guy here right when you spend that that Str yeah yeah all the weapons get this pluses but become hazardous which swinging it wildly it's not hurt elv as them hurting each other they're hitting the guy nearby so I've got threes to hit right but it's fives to wound which is the hard part and oath of moment yeah here we are after the rolls with plus one to win CU of chaplain fives seven wounds to get through wow and that was only seven wounds the Chapan hasn't fought yet this is four plus invulnerable saves I only dropped one I feel no pain he's still on six wings remaining now we swing with the chaplain chaplain twos rolling yep everything hits strength six strength seven now it doesn't matter plus one to wound it does matter cuz it would have been sixes yeah it's fives to Fours yeah uh only two though two more in buns and make them both Maran is bossing it he's still on six wounds remaining he's going to fight back in a minute but first we come over here to a death company brutalus got six attacks he hits on threes yep Rolls Everything death company things yep okay and then strength uh 12 we on threes rerolling everything CU twin link so and there two ones so five wins minus two five five up saves uh that is nine damage yeah you're still around right was on one wound yeah now we come across to this blank to see if asra can take down a f drone dudes asra raises his giant axe twos okay rolling he strength seven right so fives but sixes are devastating okay so no one wound minus three new model syndrome guys um I fail the save two damage okay the Drone is on eight wounds left one minute your rrolling moon rolls of one and ASAS got one one so he rerolls that one and it devastates and it okay so the Drone is down to six wounds remaining go and now we're on to two aerators which hit on four is rrolling okay reroll they're also sustained hits one right so that one will go back in and that one will have an extra okay strength seven so fives again but sixes are devastating y because of asterra and rrolling any ones yes so that's four damage already yes that's two wounds at minus one minus one well I fell that one so that's s it's dead the Drone is dead two the dead well I F both then the Drone is definitely dead and it doesn't deadly demise so you piled in yes tagged the Rhino and OC me off the objective the Rhino reved its engines and tried to fight back again but didn't do anything talking about something that could fight back again morar let's do the sweep attack which hits on twos but he's injured so he's hitting on threes but he doesn't suffer any modifiers to its characteristics but he still hits on threes it's got to cuz it's another rule that overrides that rule so threes with the sweep attack um I am strength seven with the sweep attack but your toughness is down by one three so it's twos to wound instead of Threes to wound four and a roll wound rolls of one CU mortarion AA thing that's good and these are all minus one but your armor has dropped down by one so that's eight five up saves eight five up saves followed by six up shrugs oh yeah I for five UPS so I make uh two of them right and then I these are one damage each right yes so six up shrugs the same time I make two of them so you kill two marines after that combat I revved an engine with a rhino over here into brutalus dreadnut death company D didn't wound him either and that is the end of death company turn one they've established a locust in the middle of the battle grid they kept assassinating their hand for a couple of turns now trying to take down mortarion we get him he's still on six wings left he's absolutely fine and what I can do is probably heal him with a STP though I don't have any ECP over there um you pushed me off every single objective except for this one back here which I'll get three points for so let's add up some points let's draw some orders let's go into death company death comp death guard turn two so it's 78 in favor of the death guard just one point in it I got to bring it down I kept that in my hand so any of those dreadnots or I don't think I'd be able to get that impulse So It reversed all the way back again get Behind Enemy Lines and I kept a drone in strategic Reserve so I should be able to get that one completed my movement phase and suan has declared rapid Ingress so while he's Measuring Up and figuring out where he wants to drop some stuff in this is the way we've got to in my command phase I'm going to spend Gifts of Decay on mortar who was on six wounds and he recovers D3 wounds we'll do that on camera wow he's back up to nine and he didn't take a step back from combat because over here the unit that was inside of the Rhino with the Talman and my chaos Lord are going to go flying into that death company that surrounding mortarion kill a bunch of them hopefully there's not a lot left to be able to take down mortarion mind you have just given him two more characters there that they could potentially assassinate but yeah operation rescue mortarion is in effect the spawn are going to get charged by your death company around this side so I might as well charge you first try and take a couple off and the run a recover the wound reversed backwards and protected this brigand over here talking about rhinos the one on the right flank failed his battles still got fight first though on the plague Marine so that will be interesting where did you um rapid Ingress lamarti's his Squad are here because they have a 12-in move so when things come to a head you're over here and here they could easily make a charge around here if they want to or go that way they could cut that way or cut this way cuz I put spawn up in the middle the idea is spawn charge Spartan won't hurt Spartan but will contage it and will make it basically uh you got a fullback to shoot a full ballistic skill if you stay there it'll Nerf your ball the tanks are lined up to Chuck some shots that way or that way depending on whether the brutalist dies the death company dreadnut yeah uh the other one's going to join in as well and the mortars can now see the unit that established a locust next to the central objective yeah that's for Behind Enemy Lines one drone my last remaining drone buzzed in over here and that'll get me three VP yes and he's going to spurt all over the death company on this objective and the Auto hits 2d6 times only four times this is anti-infantry two up a wound four times you're not in Contagion range so that's four four up saves I make when you turn around and try and kill that drone maybe I will OverWatch you on the way in that's okay uh what else we got we've got a pistol in combat from morian shooting at the unit right below bang no um no that was a one to be fair he's got death company crawling all the way up his trouser legs yes he's slightly distracted right now the unit that wants to go charging in can't shoot at the unit that's crawling all up his trouser leg because they're not a vehicle or Monster but we can shoot at Aster's unit yes so let's do that cuz I got a tman in that unit all these guns plague bot guns hit on twos and because there's a chaos Lord in that unit I roll ones a lethal and six is a lethal yeah then we wound on threes these are AP Dash but I'm firing through lots of you can put it on all the guys I end up with three UPS cover which is good yes three UPS yep and then feeling of the pains I'm going to get rid of all these barrels we keep knocking them over um kill one kill one and a couple of blight launchers in each Squad that's lethal these are going to wound you on twos and those will be four up saves two damage a Time cover four UPS make one shrug on the first guy dead dead shrug on no pains okay so then you surged him forward a little bit he's still on six wounds remaining he's right in the ser in World leers allows you to get in engagement range and if you could do that with death company then I wouldn't be able to shoot anymore well that would be cool it's specifically says I can't this one so yeah yeah okay so let's keep shooting at him I've got this squad here I mean Steve's got this surely how many CP have you got you can't pay to interrupt you surging at you no okay yeah we'll keep shooting it keep shooting at the brutalist red do free move here's here's the two um thing I'm hting on threes in this squad but sixes fives and sixes are lethal because there is a biologis putrifier in there and then to wound that that just wounds that wounds that is a minus two essentially no damage right there's fire lots of Bolt guns in yeah hit on 3es with all the plague bolt guns but fives and sixes are lethal because of biologis putrifier there's another one thank you and that was awful and then these yeah it wasn't good was it these wound sixes uh okay four three up saves yeah s right it's all right and two feel no pains it feels a bit more pain and four wounds remaining so last things left to shoot then are big tanks cuz the idea is we charge here we charge there charge there big tanks so I line them up I think how many wins you on three four four four charge spawn into asra's unit the Lord and the Talman into the unit that are all over mortarion spawn into Spartan Steve and everyone over here into everything over here when sulan doesn't have the CP here this is the big Squad of 10 plague Marines plus my chaos Lord plus the tallyman hitting the unit that is all over malarian robes these are all the uh plague knives which are hitting on two re-rolling ones h on two cuz of Talan rrolling ones for chaos Lord six is a lethal and then strength four but your toughness is now three so we're wound it on threes but rrolling ones cuz we're in range of mortarion Aura and these are all AP Dash but your armor has gone down by one 12 for saves one damage a time I make not many no how much pain do you feel sixes all of it oh not one of them I nuke three of them now here's the heavy plague weapons which normally hit on fours hit on threes cuz of Talan roll ones and I rolled a bunch of twos right so those are lethal these wound on twos and roll oh okay and they're all minus two comes minus three because the contagion this is nasty that is 10 six up saves I might be able to free mortarion make three these are two damage AG go two damage a go will do a lot of no pain now off camera dude that worked those heavy plague weapons virtually turning off your armor save there was a couple of other combos going on there though I re rolling ones to hit with the captain rolling ones to wound with mortarion normally mortarion wouldn't be there be that close anyway that's the end of the fight things I've hurt a spun I've killed a dread I've hurt a couple of dudes over here but asth can fight back with his buddies against the spawn so asra hits on two R rolling yes cuz that's what death company do they go angry and he is uh strength seven right so to wound threes rerolling sixes are devastating at two damage there's the reroll minus three no safe straight to the feeling of the pain on the one on Three wounds remaining he's dead and then this on the one who's uninjured is dead as well yeah that happened I knew it would happen anyway and if the spawn didn't go charging in you'd have killed them in your turn this way by charging you I managed to take a couple of them out and that is the end of turn two we did some revving with the Spartan over there into the spawn even if they injured them they heal so yeah no no damage was caused at the end of that I've got Behind Enemy Lines but over here and I brought it down I killed a brutalist dreadnut but in turn three for suon he'll pick up three points for this objective here and because it's the lynchman objective this one's going to be worth five 10 points to him so let's add it all up go to death company death company yeah I got it right you got it right turn three picking up 13 points in the primary catapults the death company into the lead I can't believe I got the name right uh and they're 20 points to 13 they're seven points ahead they've still got assassinate want to take that morian or any of the characters and extend their battle lines which they're already doing down in the death company lines the unit that will holding on to the home objective I've turned around come straight towards this spawn over here and before we go any further I'm overwatching see they're already injured I'd like my last spawn to stay alive cuz it can fall mark and they're fuming so otherwise you'd be wounding on sixes anyway you need the sixes to hit cuz the sixes to hit a sixes to wound and look at that # listen to Winters there's a lot of lethals there cuz these are sixes to wound and none of them so then eight eight saves Corn's number of minus o that's four wounds come through he's got five remaining he's not going to die he shrugs three of them he's on two wounds remaining he's been locked up in combat since turn two and he's hanging in there infused by the power of the plague father mortar will swing back in a minute he's just he's he's winding it up we still got another charging unit chaplain unit Squad into play drones yeah there were six in a squad with the chaplain we're not actually below half strength okay so we're going to hit on uh fors with the eviscerator okay uh rolling uh so there's two hits um strength seven is fives rrolling any ones one to wound so for wound chap uh five up saves no it takes four damage it's on three remaining power fist yep rolling rolling that hits and this will be fours to wound instead of FIV to wound cuz of chapl this is a normal Squad so that was sustained okay two more wins two fine you've taken down all three of my drones those aerators are pretty good I love them uh are they only on death company can you take them on sanguinary guard or anyone else it's only death company and it's not the normal Red version of these either cuz these are just black Assa cuz forc to hit normally sucks but when you're rerolling all hits with sustained hits that's what it has it's kicking in quite a lot better than power fists at this stage they seem to be doing more damage well yeah even if you run it in the non-death company thing we get plus two strength they become strength nine then we came back over here and we did fight backs with other stuff so spawn hit Spartan Spartan hit spawn no damage caused aath rammed into Consolidated into this rhino and I got a couple of wounds through but you made your saves yeah you snapped off a thing doing it yeah he breaking it well I think that fell off about 10,000 years ago so now we're back to mortarion yes and then there lamarti's unit and the other unit a captain unit and the captain unit see the thing is the captain unit's got less guys in it so if I wound them they're more likely to get angrier mti's unit it's a real thing to think about cuz that rerolling wounds with two guys we saw incredible what I'm going to do is put him into lamarti's unit cuz he's bigger and I know he reduces all damage by one but it's a damage four attack which come damage three attack so surely they can't shrug off all the stuff and I'm hitting on threes and I hit that many times and it is strength 16 so I think I'm winning on twos a wound all the times it's AP minus three becomes minus four no save no save and that is four damage becomes three damage so you need to do three sixes three sixes three sixes we did it off camera cuz there's no way you'd roll two sixes on one of them why would and you roll two sixes on one of them so he kills three so that unit is now rrolling wound rolls of one even annoyed him see the thing is in my turn if I pass my batt shck test and fall out of there then mortarion's just on two wounds and you're charge anything else but if I leave mortarion in there then in my fight phase you kill mortarion you jump out you charge that is a problem asterra lamarti chaplain problem on this flank meanwhile you've extended your battle lines and you've managed to finally achieve assassinate I'm going to pick up three five points for being on these two objectives here as we go on to a death guard to three blood angels are winning by nine points 30 to 21 I need to secure my no man's land and overwhelming Force kill stuff in range of objectives here we are after my movement phase motan didn't fail his battles shock test and he's dropped out with two wounds remaining you're going to need to do something about him and while the camera is pointing at him it is mortan I'm spending this p on gifts of Decay and putting two more wounds back on him back up to four turn three it's the longest he's ever been in as well so we're securing we want to kill that death company dread want to kill a chunk of these guys and then it's anyone's game if I don't kill very many of these I feel like the death company more wounds then the melter gun of Doom and then Steve does his PL plague sprayer and auto hit 6 times um but this will wound on sixes it doesn't wound so one's on three one's on seven that's it for here we're coming back over here to brigon number two firing all the guns all the time into asra's unit start with the bur gun the chain Cannon cuz it's turn three I measured up I made sure that you're still in Contagion range of rhino so it'll be minus two instead of minus one essentially three uh twos to hit and I I think the other one was hitting on threes instead of fours I think anyway uh threes to wound no contagion range strength six so twos to wound for up saves uh I fail a few of them so at the moment they're dead but feeling of the pains do all together okay you kill the two marines and as's fine right let's give him a thermal sphere to the face and it hits both of the times it's strength 12 it wounds both of the times does he have a four BU he's have a four bun makes one fails one right it's D6 plus four damage at the moment he still has a f no pain cuz he's technically still part of the death company Squad yeah and the same 10 10 fa no pains here we go yeah he makes two he's dead yeah he's good good right yes need to do something about all of this uh okay so that work that was good let's start off with tank number one firing entropy cannons and mortars into Lamar oh no not into Mar Squad cuz he reduces all damage by one into the other Squad with a captain in it here's the mortifier adding four to this we're hitting on threes sixes are lethal and winning on twos and you get cover so four uh thre saves and that's two damage that's the mortifier and that kills one and then two ENT cannons one of them hits and and it wounds and you need a six basically no and that will be three damage with the entropy Cannon kills another stub fired in caused a wound but you saved it so we're on to tank number two uh that unit is now lower than no let keep going let's keep going cuz the mortar into yeah larti is reducing damage is a thing uh mortar into the same Squad threes to hit no lethals there twos to wound uh just two wound two th saves and that's a fail and then two damage shrug one shrugs one so let's do the pdly gun first which hits on threes and wounds on threes and that is three three up saves hopefully trying to kill that injured one he's alive which I don't do so these entropy cannons what two of them hit one of them will be wasted essentially they both wound they're both six up saves and it is five damage and four damage that leaves the captain alive with a dude with a fist don't need the eviscerator because they get sustained hits with the captain anyway I haven't killed enough that's not enough but that's all my shots so now we need to charge no charging Happening Here the only charge we've got is Steve into this injured dude now we fight seven attacks nles number hitting on twos and then wounding on fives but six is a devastating cuz Wing demon Prince on the charge and that is six devastating wounds and then two five up saves as well cuz he's a feel no pain okay so that's nine wounds and he's only got three left I think I might have destroyed a unit in range of an objective I did I did destroy a unit in range of blow up no no and then we're on to fight first stuff and Defenders get to fight first right five heavy plague weapons hit on four fours here but fives and sixes are lethal nasty that was like the best roll ever that other one wounds on enough no just all the lethal ones get through and that's 10 lethal Hits 10 up saves I make one no that is uh I need to roll 18 damage that and then that and then I blow up on a no they take him down so torn apart both death company dreads the battle for this flank was a success for the end of all things then we rounded out a fight phase with a Spartan and spawn on bouncing off each other and no damage caused on E either side and at the end of all of that I've secured no man's land and also got overwhelming force in turn four so pick up three five points on the primaries eight points on the primaries and as the feted stink of the death guard continues to wash out across this battle grid we're going to have to see what this Spartan the captain and lamarti can do as we go to death company turn four says 29 to the death guard 38 to the death company they're nine points in the lead but they're getting thin on the ground now they want to call The Horde take out those 20 man unit of pox Walkers an overwhelming Force They're copying my homework in the blood angels backfield everything's nice and quiet the company that destroyed the Drone ran back got inside the impulser because mortars are a thing so so if it comes raining down you'll still be on that objective there and honestly it turned out that keeping a unit back in your deployment Zone to mop up anything was probably a good idea if you run death company need to do that I don't think there's a lot going to be erupting into this flank on this turn because the death company well they're a bit thin on the ground but you did get C The Horde and you did spend that CP to advance shoot and charge with lamarti's unit and you're coming for the ward yes and then mortarion well there's a land Raider there there's three guys I forgot to mention the three guys that got mored last time got in they've wed through Corridor yeah and what did you w for moment again the tank the tank cuz I'm going to try L count in the tank melter the spawn fight the spawn fightan see what happens okay uh what we start with last cannons okay into tank yeah on fours right rrolling cuz of oath because of O of moment that's three hits again the Spartan really needs to start performing needs fours to wound threes to wound oh yeah threes to wound it wounds many times many times five invulnerable saves are fail every single one okay this should be the end of the tank the spart will finally do something is dead so they spawn a one unit it's not overwhelming Force yet but the unit that just jumped out with the SP yeah yeah well they can't shoot the spawn no so they're going to fire a one's got an a star's grenade launcher right so they're going to shoot at what Aran okay trying to lob a grenade into his left ear Lo yeah why not grenade launcher one shot it's a three never mind okay Inferno pistol Inferno pistol hits mortan doesn't doesn't wound mortarion and's got aerus and then the unit in front with the captain that want to go charging in y two Plasma Pistol not overcooking hits on a two wants to get in there other guy hits on that Str seven is fives no wounds okay morar shrugging it off just doing but he's he's overperforming today he is so that's the end of the shots down there um we come on to LaMar's unit yeah you got cord start off with the grenade Strat he's grenading me Grenada six dice on fours that is uh three mortal Wings three mortal Wings they I feel no pain um three of them ding the explosions P flies everywhere then we got lots of shots coming in then we fired all the pistols you only killed one more so four died in the C The Horde swad that is the end of the shooting phase now you're charging them with lares yes let's see how I far he gets that's a 7 in he gets flying in there are you charging the spawn and Moran as well yeah so these into Maran those into spawn okay and at the end of the charge phase it looks like this we're starting off with the attacks into the spawn from the regular death company so uh eviscerator yes fors rrolling that's is good for me yeah and now we have the last fight your captain and this last death company dude with a jump pack versus mortarion on four wounds let's face it should have died a long time ago Captain yes on twos sixes are sustained that's what captains do that's what this Captain does yeah nice strength uh eight five to wound five to wound rrolling everything CU you've injured me yeah there's only two in that Squad yeah we were all fail wounds and that is four wounds and this is a battlef right that's right so four vulnerable saves a fa three of them that's six damage he's got four wounds and closer back into this game as we go to death guard turn four all right I'm catching up racking up those primaries 42 to 46 Just Four Points behind and I got no prisoners kill as much as possible and engage in all fronts and I'm already in three table quarters so back here my Lynch pin objective is in danger and the tank had to fall out of close combat because I want to shoot at lamarti and I've got a brigand here and a brigand here that should be the end of lamarti if not at least enough to secure this objective and the brigin move backr so my OC is really high right now cuz death company with the chaplain have an OC of one yes so if I thin them down enough should be okay if the tank survives when you get shot out by the Spartan and that should be no prisoners more things for No Prisoners the plague Marines on this objective are poked around the edge and are looking I don't know if the spurt is in range yet cuz it's only 12 in range but we're looking at either the captain or the other Squad yeah shoot at them probably the other Squad probably easier to kill that's two things for no prisoners and then engaging well that's in this quarter that's in this quarter and this unit are actually in that quarter already but we've also got Steve who's come flying around the back over here and it's an 8 in charge to smack that Spartan in the back and if I manag to pull this off the death company won't have much left yeah so at least they died gloriously slaughtering the tra Arch traitors well this is a flank of a b wider battle right the death company never get deployed like kills one here is the Avenger J chain Cannon and I've been hitting on twos and I'm wounding on threes twos because I'm in Contagion range oh yeah of the tank so they all wound contagion range minus one becomes minus two and you're also the closest eligible Target to my brigin six up saves to make six up saves lot stacking things yeah what was that how many was that I don't know six of saves make Steve well that's Corn's number so it's probably going to fail anyway so let's roll the charge here with the brigin into lamarti for a CP and that's a five am I six away seven away that's a failed charge and that was nurgle's number that means it should have been successful okay Steve into back of Spartan he has a nine he gets in there can a demon Prince take down a Spartan on 11 wounds remaining there's a world in which this is possible particularly as he has a deadly pathogen for that extra attack and he misses three times FES to wound but sixes are devastating yeah do don't count with two uh death company marines coming up from the back field as well their job is done back there oh yeah from the they move their nine from disembark yeah and they've come around here as well and though and then that is the end of your shooting phase we have some charges charges so Captain and the dude can't fail the charge but the unit behind and a five they can't fail the charge as well they're both in there and it's a 6-in charge over here into the brigand and that's a five you got two CP I'm going to use one okay they're in that's n you make the charge jump onto the objective you spent that CP on an extra strength attack strength and AP okay cuz trying to tear this thing down what are we starting off with power fist okay hitting on threes rrolling everything good job you had remaining who 10 damage he's on one wound left four up and vulnerable safe oh on the D sorry five up sorry uh I might have said that out loud but he's on one Mo left the captain didn't take him down fist yeah hitting on three he's rolling everything okay that's sustained because led by Captain because led by Captain and then fives rrolling everything three three moreable saves hang in there Steve you got this he hasn't got this he's gone and I think he deadly demises as well he doesn't deadly demise as well you've sunk my second in command with my demon Prince falling that means you pick up the maximum point for area denial leaving the death company on a final score of 59 points to currently the end of all things is 46 points and now I scored my primaries at the very end of the game but right now I've got an OC of I've got five for this one three for that one back there assuming the Knight doesn't die and five for that one over there yes well if it's the end of the game he could die between now and then and if you can't fall back back onto the objective um so you need to survive another round of combat yeah that could be big it well I didn't think of that one minute yeah there's not going to be a way there to squeeze through onto the thing so if he dies in close combat I won't get this one cuz if I do get this one it'll be 5959 instantly before I draw any secondaries so let's go on to death guard turn five right I've got containment I got to do actions close to Battlefield edges storm hostile objective the one with the Spartan on I don't want to go anywhere near the Spartan I don't think I can OC see it off either okay so here we are after the movement phase and after my command phase and after I spent the CP I gained on this thing passing a batt shck test so on four wounds I can't fall out of combat but I passed my battles shck test so if he lives I get three points yes but being on this one here and I'm containing over there and I'm containing over here so if the bran lives a win yeah if the brigin dies then those two objectives instead of worth five points and 10 points will be worth three points and six points yeah you win I can't fall back cuz I can't squeeze through we moved it to see if I could get the base but you got to stay an inch I can't get in there and I can't run anything down to get on it I could run this knif actually let's roll a six I'll roll a six let's find out how far away am I Brin move 12 that's an 18in run that gets me onto the objective so we end up there yes I would win the game but Sal spending his last CP on OverWatch I all I can do as the rigon runs past yeah the Spartan is going to try and one-hot it on OverWatch we've got eight L cannons okay and you get a hit a six you got two mul that can come in as well we'll roll this first to wound which wounds that's a wound five up in one I don't make it D6 plus one damage uh that is five damage it's on seven left two multim Motors they're both no hit no here we go okay five's the wind come on no dear as well six to hit no nothing there run on to the thing so even if you kill my knight I have an OC of eight and that'll be that'll be a draw and then the containment and the containment means a win by three points somehow and uh this is the way the world ends right then we did the combat with the brigand off camera just to see what would have happened cuz we like rolling Dice and turns out the brigand didn't take any wounds anyway fine and I did remember kicking back at the guys but three up saves and I didn't wound them and that's the end of death guard turn five and adding on the painting scores let's figure out what the final score is final score of 72 points to 69 with painting standard and that was awesome that was a really good game I really enjoyed myself there we had a lot of hero moments and things going on how was it for you honey it was great I um yeah I I this this list does not score it's not it's not what it's supposed to do really I mean we we did somehow but at any point running over there no OC things like that it's just meant to kill things and the I designed the entire list to just be fun and it was you said off camera like a couple of times in turn two then again in turn four like this is really fun I'm having a lot of fun yeah I don't care what happens the rest of the game this is great it's yeah it's it's really really fun it's a really enjoyable way to play is it a sustainable way to play don't know but you get to run forward and blend with loads and loads of dice tell you what it's amazing how powered up they get when they're rrolling all hits and rrolling all wounds and the weapons that you have left in the squad are all power fist and the vators and things aerators are really good with the roll as was good wasn't he as those devastating wounds for the entire unit on a charge yeah as's unit is scary whether you're rrolling wounds or not because if you get some sixes through yeah yeah you're in trouble so yeah I I love the whole thing um I definitely want to run something similar but I am going to be playing blood angels again but this time trying the third and final Detachment with the jump packs CU I've also got enough for an entire jump pack Army the Angelic host one yes where they're jumping around all over the place yeah it'd be fun yeah I think that's the one where you'll be scoring big the thing about that one is the other dude detachments gives blood angels uh benefits in Mee and that one the Angelic host one you don't get the plus two strength and the charge and you don't get the thing it's just a movement Warfare kind of thing yeah and jump packs are so quick the ability to just jump up and move around would be fun but I really enjoyed this for just pure death company uh murder I I think my favorite attachment Still Remains just the original plus two strength plus one attack yeah cuz I just love getting extra attacks on the charge it's good for anything you bring yes uh it doesn't just mixed list yeah it's a mixed list you can bring whatever you want and it's not just benefits the stuff in the uh blood angels book it also benefits I don't know Stern guard veterans it benefits uh blade guard it benefits everyone yeah I mean there's a list I want to bring where I bring the Spartan and two lamb Raiders and fill in front of death company and normal guys and just see what happens uh that's yeah it's a lot of L cannons it's well L cannons or whatever it's it's the guys inside yeah so that was really cool it was good to see death
