Caroline so much to be said about this match but first of all 2 hours 40 minute Marathon an absolute battle there was even a 16 plus minute game in there somewhere what did it take physically I definitely remember losing that 16-minute game but um yeah honestly it was just like a lot of focus I mean being out here for this um amount of time we've been practicing a lot on the length of my practices and my fitness and it's now paying off so I'm really happy about that the the beauty of the Poetry here on the court is not lost on us Danielle Collins final US Open singles match your first career main draw singles win absolutely incredible were you thinking about any of that that this could be your first this could be her last what was your mindset how did you focus no honestly I was so focused on my game because she she plays at such a high level I mean you've seen her year that she's had and she's an incredible player so I have a lot of respect for her um and you know she's beaten me every single time that we've played each other so you know today was my day and uh yeah just super happy to compete against her and wish her all the best the the rest of us will never know what the experience is like playing on Lewis Armstrong stadium in front of this many fans how fun is it to be feeling the love in front of this many fans who love great tennis and you all put on quite a show today yeah I mean honestly it's incredible um you know it's the middle of the day on a Tuesday so I'm really happy that there are so many people here so thanks for coming out and finally you practice a lot of things do you practice celebrating what do you do after a win like this is there a plan on how you're going to celebrate and enjoy this or is your Mo thinking about the next match here in a moment how do you celebrate yeah you know it's important to celebrate these these wins as they come um because I mean this was a big deal for me but you know we're in the middle of a tournament so obviously I'm staying in the moment um I'm going to enjoy my time with my team and my coach and everyone there so uh they've been there since the beginning I'm so happy and yeah on to the next kudos to You Caroline dollahyde kudos to your team she is moving on
