he figed him out that was just a special moment for everybody watch the ball like Drop and I'm like where to go Daniels oneon-one Ty Lacy touchdown my last game ever versus T A&M at home it's the fourth quarter where they going man coverage I had a one1 to my former teammate still there my brother KY Lacy uh f ball um and I was just moment for everybody for him for me I be able to be TM my last time in Death Valley uh my last time playing college football a it was very special moment lock get the start for Tanner morai oh goodness One play that describes me as a football player I was say Wisconsin game uh I got thrown out for this play set him up it was pass rush I'm pretty sure was second down fourth quarter just started I knew it was a pass and play so rushed a guard set him up with a quick Hy faked him out uh club I'm over killed them uh quarterback was right there I was like been waiting for this moment my whole life just me and the quarterback 10one hit him legs in the air got targeting call though but that just shows me my quickness uh my Hunger for the game and the physicality I bring John Baptist has it and he brings it tackle his in bounds and he is to the end zone we're playing Stanford it's about fourth quarter it's fourth down and it was a block field goal and my boy to my left me J at the time defensive tackle I'm like AJ like we got to go get this one we can't have to put no points up on the board snap the ball get off the ball hit the tackle push him back I jump up he jumps up and I see his hand block the ball so then I watch the ball like Drop and I'm like where to go I find the ball I grab it I pick it up I I like hit a little slight spin rotate around and then start running and then I seen the holder coming and as I'm running he came in close gave a me stiff arm and then I had to hit a little quick toe tap and then just finish it down finish it down the line after the toe tap for the touchdown little celebration ah soak in the moment man for me it was just so exciting you know uh being able to score almost every level here's and he needs [Music] AOL I have two play examples the first play is Big 10 Championship 2021 I'm a receiver at this time actually so I go on motion on a cable motion I'm coming around the edge I set one block kind of you know just a chip block and then I climbed to the second level I see Blake corm who was a running back during that game he breaks it out you know he gets to the sideline and it's just nothing but green grass I'm behind him right now I see the green grass ahead of him I hurry up and catch up to him along with JJ we both get in front of him and lead him to the end zone I actually had a pancake block on that play I just feel like you know doing those extra things you know playing without the football helping your teammates score touchdowns that you know that's the type of person I am [Applause] underneath McMillan upended by S after a couple second play example I have National Championship 2023 it's third down I believe um in man coverage Jaylen McMillan's in the backfield they run a you know sort of a a screen and I'm in man coverage I hurry up I recognize it right now I come up and I do a shoulder reduction move on the lineman and get a tackle big third down play huge moment in the game I think if he if I don't get that tackle he breaks it for a long run potentially a touchdown just because of how much field was ahead of him so just you know those two players I feel exemplify the type of football player I am I've had big plays touchdowns and interceptions but it's those little you know those little game changing plays that I feel make me who I am as a player on this third down Harris is [Music] [Applause] dropped first the UTSA road runners at link Lin in Financial Field was third and 11 third quarter you know late in the game our coach from the sideline called a pressure um for me to run up the middle um our shade uh was supposed to stunt to the B Gap watching the play you know I gave him the right left Direction I gave him a right direction for him to go right and I I was to go left so I ended up running right down the middle free uh seeing the quarterback you know made a play and just celebrating with my teammates in that moment hearing the crowd erupt you know it was everything to me down the left sideline into single coverage a one handed grab touchdown Luke mcaffrey losing his helmet for the second time in two weeks on a touchdown we kind of have the ball Midfield we're driving and we look out there we see uh in our formation we were going 3 by one putting me to the to the one receiver side to try and ISO it and I look at my quarterback we we make sure we're on the same page we're throwing just a vertical good old day one nine route JT or quarterback at the time throws a throws a ball that you know couldn't have been put in a better place we just had had timing and I reached out I grabbed it my my helmet came off uh and I think just the energy the enthusiasm that team brought into that game that that we brought into that season just showed the growth that our team had and so you know the play was cool in itself but to see the evolution to see the the enjoyment and and the process driven environment that we had specifically and then that moment kind of help encapsulate what you know our program was built on throws wide open is s it one a catch inside the 40 stays upright and they finally get a bunch of tiger lining up in the back field uh we motion our Z into the back field as well getting into like a big Delta set as we called it like a diamond formation um three backs in the back field um and I got a corner route running like a little naked concept um faking the action so I'm I'm trying to stress that that post safety vertical break off into my corner um look around the balls like on me quick uh the QB got pressure get up stick it up with one hand catch it um come back down kind of falling down um running down the sideline hurdle a guy um and just trying to extend the play um trying to show my toughness show what kind of player I am just getting that extra yards for the team I think is a big thing um and just continue to run down the sideline trying to break tackles I think I tried to spin move um didn't work out very well but just trying to keep my feet moving and extend the play um football is like a game of inches so I just think this play Just describes me and shows what kind of football player I am now we count it [Applause] out and that's a first down and it'll be Victory form time that the fin football player is in 2022 season play UT at UT um they were also top 10 ranked and it was the last Drive of the game all we had to do is run the ball to milk the clock out and you know was just like smash my football we know what they're going to give us like eight man boxes getting guys off the ball dropping that ball down the field and and win the game so I feel that was one of the moments where you know that kind of just shows who we were as a as a football team also those players
