how you guys how you guys doing Rich senior running back Ty we'll start with Mike and go to Seth U so you're a senior a couple years ago at St yes uh two years later you're still playing did you envision kind of that to be here in this moment like what's that Journey been like over the last couple years for um honestly no I haven't um you know I wanted to declare for the NFL after my fifth year but then I got hurt so I hit the portal you know s gave me an opportunity and it went at JMU you know I had a great time there and then luckily for me I had a he had a job offering here and he invited me again so I'm just very blessed for the opportunity Seth and Jack yeah what's the competition been like in the running back room this fall just what do you feel like you and and the other guys in there kind of bring to the table um we got a lot of uh I feel like we're very versatile we got a lot of play a lot of guys that can do a lot of different things so you know we're kind of deep and I'm just excited for the season to watch see how we do jack on your left and then Daniel yeah when we talked to Coach Shanahan last week he sort of said that having so many running backs like that competition might not really end like you know going into the season like how do you guys feel like having that Dynamic where you really got to earn your snaps kind of like um it just it just lets us know that we just got to we just got to keep going you know like like we can't take any practice for granted you know make sure we stay healthy stay in the training room doing all the all the little things right you know making sure that coach trust us when we get out there on them field on Saturdays Daniel your left and Zach Yeah you mentioned the chance that that you had from STI uh last year and then you know here as well I'm curious what about him is why why is he someone that you want to play for just the winning mindset you know like at uh I don't know if you guys know but at Stony Brook um I wasn't we wasn't really winning a lot of games there uh High School I I won two backtack championships so you know I just wanted to like get that winning feeling again and then being 11 11 And1 last year like I feel like we can do that again this year how early you know last year when you arrived was it like okay I can feel you know his presence and that that you know um you know I felt it uh immediately Spring ball you know like one thing like not to like Pat myself on the back but uh Stony Brook you know I was kind of that like the guy there and like to get to jamu I kind of got humbled like I wasn't I never really took practice as serious until I got under like six like um team so like you know that made me be a better player after all right to Z and Jet with so much experience playing college football how have you seen yourself take a leadership role both on and off the field with experience playing under ah man it's you know I'm I'm kind of like the quiet guy I'm I really I feel like I'm more of a leader by um showing what I could do like on the field excuse me you're one of three transfer running back yes how important was it to stay with that group of guys and how special is it's very special you know uh me and KB like KB honestly KB and saw they push like being like seeing them how they practic there at JMU like they honestly pushed me to be like a better running back so like salute to those guys to do team for Indiana what sort of impact do you think he'll bring immediately um I have I have good hands you know I can catch out the back field you know I can bring like I can add like I I can be another receiver to our uh our offense and I feel like that plays a part in today's football Nick Mike uh what differences have you noticed between this offensive line compared to other offensive lines you've run behind in the past uh well definitely bigger for sure but um this this Camp man I've been seeing a lot of huge holes and I'm just ready to see those same hes on Saturday go back on your left to Mike and then Seth yes I Ty um how have the scrimmages gone kind of this fall I know you guys have one yesterday compared to the spring and how the offense looked yesterday any kind of share about how you guys said um I feel like yesterday we had we had a better scrimmage than scrimmage one uh scrimmage one we wasn't really clicking after that scrimmage you know we made an offensive group chat cuz I feel like being at there's like 40 42 40 something uh transfers we didn't really get we don't we don't we didn't really know how to speak to each other after that first scrimmage so after at first scrimmage we kind of like made a group chat sat down had a meeting spoke to each other and got to know each other and I feel like that that was a step forward in our process and we had a great scrimmage scrimmage too so I feel like we just keep get doing that and get getting that going then we should be fine who initiated the group chat what players uh uh Kurt you know the the uh he he's uh he well we as the ones we got out we were we were slow at uh slow that first scrimmage so Kurt you know he was kind of mad about it honestly we was all mad about it and then the next day group chats in the air and we had a meeting that next day Curtis group chat yes Kurt oh I'm I'm sorry oh oh oh oh not oh I'm sorry I'm sorry not yet Curtis second your left and the last one to Daniel yeah just what's it been like with you working with cartis work this fall just I guess what do you see out of him how does he kind of compliment everybody else in the offense um he's a um he's just he's a he's a leader like he's he's a good guy like honestly he he make he makes sure he knows everybody else's role as well but we try to tell him like you know just just you can calm down like we got you sometimes cuz as a quarterback you know it's hard to like you have to know everybody's role at at the end of the day but you know we just try to help him out you know he's definitely a leader last one to Daniel your left yeah uh you kind of mentioned earlier that you kind of could feel you know Sig last year upon arrival like early I'm wondering you know in Spring ball because you know here it's been like a lot of like okay it's a lot faster than you know how it was and um I'm wondering if you you know like the way that maybe he's a little bit more hands off it seems like and and just you know how how you know quick it feels like it it kind of um how how how like urgent and Rapid it feels like you all see yeah it's um n yeah I definitely I I understand his way of coaching and you know like I get it and you know he's a hell of a coach you can't can't say I feel like he doesn't really do any wrong not that I know of like you know he takes care of us you know we have some we have schedule practices some days some days he'll he'll cancel them give us a off day like he's he's he's very good at like taking care of his players
