uh definitely uh was a goal of mine this year um and uh you know obviously I feel fortunate to to go and to be named starters a uh just you know a little cherry on top does it add a little layer that you find that announcement at the place where you had that appearance last year I think it's pretty cool uh it's nice that I'll be able to see my family today uh be able to tell them and and kind of celebrate that with them and so um it definitely is uh feels very fortunate that they are here sharing it with Gunner what's that like oh it's it's awesome I mean uh saw him in the weit room um you know was able to DAP each other up and kind of just have like a little moment um really cool to see him going he obviously deserves it and not really a surprise for anyone uh but uh just to see how far he's come is is pretty impressive you guys came I mean you were drafted one two you know in this organization 2019 I mean how have you guys kind of grown up together um I mean we roommates uh down in Florida he was my first roommate in pro ball and uh watched a lot of Bohemian rap city in the hotel room and uh just kind of has Blossom from there you know so uh yeah you've experienced their reactions once before so what is it like when Randy and Carol find out news like this oh they're just you know they're the best uh best sort of parents uh supportive loving and um it's you always feel excited to bring them good news news uh just because they're the best best people just going back to the 19 draft to have two what looks to be perennial Allstars come from the first two picks for one organization two Cornerstone pieces could you ever have imagined it would work out this way so quickly I think uh you know like you see I I see the work that Gunner puts in and um it's no surprise that he is where he where he is now um and uh but just to kind of see where it all started to now is a is a cool memory uh to look back on and I think uh you know everyone's just super proud of him and and the work that he's done you look at that clubh house I mean you guys got Corbin you have Westberg you know a lot of other guys that are probably deserving I mean do you hope that the O's have a bunch of other guys as reserved names you know named later this week absolutely I I hope we have a ton of guys um I'd love to uh experience all that with them and uh just kind of have a nice little crew and uh in The Dugout and and uh just kind of go through it all together I think uh you know it helps that everyone on this team is super close and so uh like just everyone's roooting each other on
