so we finally made it to Disney it's just a little bit different [Music] Disney hey guys welcome back to the channel hope you're having a fantastic day today we're exploring Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort it's just in the heart of Hilton Head and you can park right outside of shelter CO's Harbor and Marina and walk across the bridge to access the facility it's a DVC vacation resort so Disney Vacation Club members can stay here using their points you don't have to be a member to stay here you can book a room although we found it was very hard to find any openings during the peak season and only a few openings during the off seon the resort has terrific Marsh views although we were there at low tide so we didn't get to see the water right up to the edge it's ly landscaped as well it was very quiet while we were there even though we were kind of off peak season they have beautiful topiaries that you can walk through and walk by they have excellent outdoor areas as well that have great facilities for the family or kids they have cornhole and other outdoor games such as basketball shuffle board all kinds of stuff outdoor chest they have very nice grilling facilities too with the picnic tables gas grills trash cans everything you could want and of course that lovely Marsh view that you can look out over the sunset or the water views in the afternoon while you're [Music] grilling each of the rental units also has pretty cool signs that are on them that have different names and pictures and stuff on them to kind of distinguish them from one one to another uh here's the butterfly garden again that we walk by a lot of outdoor nature areas that you can walk through that are very peaceful and it again it was very quiet while we were there so it was nice to just be able to explore at our own [Music] pace we are on the way of course to the broadc creek mertile where you can find Dole whips um shopping Disney related merchandise and everything you could want there as well now you can't go to the pool or some of the other facilities the exercise room and what not here unless you are a guest staying on property but they don't mind a bit if you go in and check out all of the merchandise and get you a nice do whip snack the shop while being a little bit on the smaller side actually has a pretty good assortment of Disney themed merchandise it's got stuff that's DVC themed it's got stuff that is Hilton Head themed and then just dis Disney themed by [Music] itself we were there for the beginning of the spooky season so they had quite a few different Halloween themed items out for purchase [Music] already the resort also has an activity board with all kinds of activities scheduled throughout the day for people that are staying on site I don't think if you're not a member or actively staying that you can participate but it is nice to see all the different things that they have [Music] and of course always be on the lookout for that Hidden [Music] Mickey they have a wonderful pool facility as well with nice slides and umbrellas and plenty of seating some hot tubs and Kitty pools and whatnot of course yet again you would need to be staying there to have access to these facilities and of course what Disney activity would be complete without a doll whip they were absolutely [Music] delicious they have a nice Boardwalk out to the covered Pavilion at the end we saw people fishing out there I don't know if you can bring your own fishing equipment or if they have some for rent but there was a family out there fishing while we were there and and the tides were a little bit low but it was still beautiful afternoon and the marsh views were excellent and you can kind of see from this angle the other side of the resort and all of the housing and everything that's around [Music] as I mentioned earlier they have various spots set up all around the resorts with games you can play they have shuffle board Checkers cornhole all kinds of different things basketball that you can play and nice picnic table areas grills and everything set up and it's very peaceful and quiet here and don't forget to keep a lookout for those hidden [Music] mickys the Disney Resort is located adjacent to the Shelter Cove Harbor and Marina it's full of shops and and restaurants so if you like to get some exercise and walk around you can look at all the boats grab a bite to eat or do some [Music] shopping and no trip to Hilton heads complete without a stroll on the beach we have a few that we like to frequent every time we come here
