[Music] here's the story Morning Glory Oasis has returned Brothers Liam and NL Gallagher announced on Tuesday that they will reunite after a 15-year long split to hold a series of concerts across the UK and Ireland next summer the guns have fallen silent the stars have aligned the great waight is over they said in a press release come see it will not be televised The Oasis Live 25 World Tour will see the brothers play 14 shows in Cardiff Manchester London Edinburgh and Dublin throughout July and August the domestic leg includes four nights at their native Manchester's heeden Park as well as London's Wembley Stadium fans living outside the UK and Ireland Don't Panic the press release also States the plans are already underway to take the tour to other continents outside of Europe later next year two Oasis announcement comes after days of increased speculation that a reunion tour could genuinely be in the cards it all began when the UK times reported on Saturday that industry insiders were proclaiming that Noel and Liam would be performing a string of shows together next year the rumors naturally sparked a 160% global increase in the band's Spotify streams in anticipation the next day Oasis posted a short video that simply featured Tuesday's date on it as the rumors Garner traction and enthusiasm online Liam leaned into them himself by responding to a fan who said they were scared of Tuesday's announcement writing you're sick scared how do you think I feel formed in Manchester in 1991 Oasis is one of the most legendary Brit pop groups of all time the five-piece band Rose to fame with the release of their 1994 album Definitely Maybe which went on to become the fastest selling debut album in British history in the years since the band has weaved itself into the very framework of British culture with hits such as wonder wall Don't Look Back in Anger and stop crying your heart out for a long time however the idea of an oasis reunion was widely considered amongst fans to be an Impossible Dream after all Liam and Noel have been engaged in an Infamous decades long Feud with the siblings often coming to blows both verbally and physically over the years it was this sibling infighting that led the band to break up in August 2009 with Noel riding in a MySpace statement at the time that he simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer in the years since their split both Liam and Noel enjoyed success in their own solo projects but their rivalry persisted now however the brothers appear to be ready to become rock and roll stars together once again tickets for the bands UK and Ireland shows go on sale August 31st
