45 recessions 649 yards and four touchdowns last season see what he gonna do yeah let's check him out man you know Michigan won The Natty last year and he definitely had a part in it so we're going to check out some of his top plays from last year because the NFL's moving to more athletic tight ends that's why we got the Darren wallers the Travis cut the Kyle Pitts yeah so um guys that really could be receivers and uh a lot of times I film I saw him lined up at receiver so he looks to be that receiving threat that um Mark and juw yeah yeah I don't know if he's the blocker Mark but he can definitely catch so yeah let's let's check him out so we're starting with number five believe this is against Michigan State and he runs this over route great ball great catch let's just show this over route again let's see what coverage are they in um there's a their man covers to have a high safety but he outruns it so he's GNA come right here and come right over and as soon as he beats this linebacker balls right there perfect timing perfect perfect timing and from this I was like okay it it looks like he can run a little bit looks like he can run all right yeah there's a linebacker turning to start covering in but it's too late already uh and the ball was placed perfectly perfect perfect perfect throwing ball he definitely got a quickness with him yeah then this is number four this is against um believe Minnesota here he is right here oh yeah I remember this one oh that's nasty yeah gave him a him a little pitch and go turned right up the field and and got loose oh BL blop and wide open wide wide open and here he's getting lined up in the SL and he can he moves really well for a slot receiver this was a great catch great catch back shoulder but yeah let's let's take a quick look at him him running he don't look like a tight end playing Receiver right here at all no and then he did something so subtle I don't even know if you saw it does his Little Rocker step in and out like that that froze this DB just so slightly let's see if you can see it full speed rocker right there oh yeah saw it and then ball thrown perfect to where uh Colston is between the DB and the ball it makes a tough catch that's again that that's against the rivals that's against Michigan State I like that he dogging it out over there bro yes he is his route running though yeah know he's solid yeah he got a little SAU on and when you're not the fastest that's what makes a lot of the receivers in NFL history and tight ends that weren't the fastest how they separate them the route running got um because you got some guys are just fast enough to just outrun people and some that aren't but it's the little subtleties that they do like that little rocker step to make the DB think you're going inside just for a second to get you open in those things uh make a huge impact and again he's lined up at outside receiver here comes in oh this is the national championship and I just love the catch radius right there and then the run after catch that I'm sorry we got to we got to we got to go back and look at this catch radius one more time and see where he attacked this ball because this was absolutely beautiful goes up and gets that and it takes off after so I got places to go right you know he went up to dunk that went up to dunk it yeah that's why it's at my number two not necessarily one it's National Championship so the impact it made during that game but then being able to go up and snatch that like get down and get going that's that's what yeah rolling we'll see it again high points the ball all the way up for it gets down yeah and gets the running that's a really good play that is a really good play that easily could have been my number one even though it was in a touchdown that definitely could have been my number one Play what what was that number one about to be man this is against I think Indiana Oh yeah this was tough and then the run after catch being able to outr run all the way into The End Zone was nice was really really nice and what I liked about this was the Improv it's important especially when a quarterback gets in trouble his route wasn't to do all of that but he sees his quarterback in trouble so he starts improving quarterback I don't know if you saw right here points from the go field I see it so he said okay let me take off up field throws him a dime catches the ball which is good you know made the catch all that's good but you got 30 yards Left To the End Zone what are you going to do to get to to this end zone especially as a tight endend with DBS around you gets it cuts in at the last second but he can run he can move he can Runo defensive oh man yeah he can run NFL offenses are going to love a tight end
