Reacting To The 2024 UNC Football Schedule!

[Music] that's [Music] good [Music] h [Music] I [Music] he [Music] [Music] he [Music] you do [Music] w [Music] you hello everyone and welcome into the program this evening my name is Nathan I am one half of the Hill Brothers and today even though it's only January the 24th 2024 we have some North Carolina football news as the brand new 2024 North Carolina football schedule was released just a couple of hours ago was looking forward to seeing how this schedule was going to play out honestly in my opinion don't think it laid out too bad I think this is honestly a pretty easy schedule for North Carolina all things consider games into some places I wasn't expecting them to be uh but um looks like it's going to be a pretty good schedule for North Carolina and really gives this coaching staff no excuses to come within that objective and goal they set last year of 10 wins isn't enough I know we got some you know some questions at the quarterback position curious to see how that gets played out but uh I think it's going to be a good schedule but let's take a look at this grandiose thing number one let's take a look at the ACC first off so the ACC as you can see right here the only two teams that play on week zero are the two teams facing each other that's Georgia Tech and Florida State in Dublin Ireland that's going to be very very interesting as you can see our brand new additions Cal and Stanford and smmu a couple of new matchups this year it's going to be uh you know uh going to be interesting to see how those teams play in the ACC this year any new match ups let's see here so Cal's got Florida State Miami pit NC State Wake Forest Syracuse Stanford and SMU on their schedule then let's kick down to the uh SMU they have Florida State Louisville Stanford Duke pit Boston College Virginia and Cal on their schedule and then we'll kick down to Stanford uh who has Syracuse Clemson Virginia Tech Notre Dame which they're not even the ACC I don't know why I'm considering I'm in basketball mode I'm in basketball mode I iiz SMU Wake Forest NC State Louisville and Cal in their ACC schedule uh curious to see how this is going to work especially longterm I know this is the first year of it and uh curious to see if one of these two teams make it or one of these three teams make it all the way and are in the conversation in the late part of the year I don't think they will be but you know college football is college football now let's kick over to the heels as you can see there anyway so North Carolina opens up this year as we know on a Thursday uh what is that October or no October what is that uh is that I can't see August 29th it's kind of small on my screen there August 29th against Minnesota this is in Minnesota and we playing the home in home with them uh you know last year came came into our stadium was at that game Golden Gopher fans were everywhere Big 10 team and that was a fun fun sight to see then they come home and have Charlotte then NC Central two games we know should be pretty easy walks in the park for North Carolina you know they're probably going to need those games to get ready like I said you know this is going to be a whole brand new pretty much offensive Line's going to be out there brand new quarterback to the system couple new pieces and Jeff KH is going to be getting his defense up so they're really going to need those two games to get themselves uh to get themselves ready there and um then they have James Madison which is going to be an interesting game because George pedway just transferred over there so I'm very curious to see how that ends up shaking out the drama that'll be going in that game and honestly I really want to be in the house for that game you know James Madison a team that was uh undefeated this year I believe and I don't I think they lost in their bowl game or no not the bowl game one of the second to last games they lost to I think it was AB State as a matter of fact uh lost to them but had a great season this past year over there and curious to see how that goes and you know especially curious to see how George pedway does this year then they have Duke now this is a game I was actually kind of surprised they put so early as we know last year this past season they were in the bottom three of of the Year curious to see how that is I don't know if that's just because of the you know everybody hit the portal and left the program considering that um Mike Elco left and departed and went over to Texas A&M but you know with the with the new hire Manny Diaz I believe it is that they brought in I'm curious to see how that that goes for them and uh I wonder if they're kind of putting them early in the schedule because they don't expect Duke to be that good maybe so I don't know I guess we'll see I guess anything can happen in college football but up until recent years you know Mike ELO was doing a great job with them and Duke was not that great um yeah it is App State um beat them in the in the last game of the season I figured it I know they lost the bowl game or they lost in the last game of the season but curious to see how that JMU game's going to go because that's going to be a fun fun one so let's kick on over here to pit and I'm actually G to switch over here to the main SC so you guys can see it's right in the middle of the screen so and I'm doing this because I got to get my bye straight but uh uh October the 5th pit comes to town uh that's a game that last year North Carolina won honestly the past couple years now have have won pretty handily about 20 points give or take um at the average of the you the point differential there and hoping to keep that win streak going against pit you know Pit's been a team that's been really hard for North Carolina in recent years and uh Carolina's giv away a couple of games especially the one two seasons ago if I'm yeah two well I guess you can say three seasons ago now that you know 23 2023 is done but um curious to see how that goes that's going to be you know I I expect pck to have a big bounceback year this year considering the guys they brought in and everything they really underachieved last year so I'm curious to see how that is and the Georgia Tech this game's coming right about the same time it did this season and it's isn't it just fun Georgia Tech a bye then Virginia the two games that really really started the downfall downfall of our season this year um or in reverse order this year but we get Georgia Tech at home this is a game Carolina must must must must must must must must must must must win they have to win it they can't lose this game again Georgia Tech is a walking cancer to the North Carolina Tar Hills and they've got to be able to defeat it ring that Bell at the end of it bro ring the bell at the end of it get cancer free knock this game out of the park this game gets on my nerves every single year I can't stand this game but Georgia Tech's a good squad Brent key really got that team going over there and they've got something going uh for sure over there then they hit a by week which um comes at a great time you know right there pretty much middle of the Season you got one two three four five six seven games in so a little over half The Season's done there and um then you just got the back five and the back five pretty easy and and not only that you get another by week so no early bye this year which I like I honestly like get some get some games out of the way go ahead and knock out your Minnesota uh that'll be a fun game that'll be interesting game you know knock out your Charlotte your NC Central your JMU get Duke out of the way get a couple of you know tough contests and pit and Georgia Tech out of there and then go on the road after your by we on October 26 knocking down Virginia's doorstep hopefully they go up into Charlottesville and they take care of business they need to the Past you know last season Carolina lost a 10th in the nation six and0 on the season and let a I think one- win Virginia team at that time come into Keenan and beat them there in attendance for that got to see that appreciate that Allan that was good uh good tickets brother but uh but um they got to go up there and win that game two seasons ago the 2120 or the 22 Yeah the 2122 two season yeah that's right uh Carolina went up there and it was it should not have been a game but a dagam was so Carolina's got to go up there and they they're they're kind of starting something you know with Virginia that's looked very similar to what they've been going on there with uh with with Georgia Tech so those two games right there those are in my opinion your two biggest trap games in my opinion there and uh you know if Carolina is let's just say they're UND Ed at that time or in theoretically let's say you have I don't know what Minnesota's got but let's say you got one lost to Minnesota potentially and then a lost to pit um you know you're really going to be needing this game so you'll be you'll have one loss in the ACC and you'll be going forward and you got some tough games coming up especially that Florida State game and the uh the NC State game there but uh after Virginia on the road again back-to-back reeks the Road Warriors now I know North Carolina basketball has been making the road look easy but and Carolina was the football team was making the road look easy this year for a certain stint in time but um the road was not good to them the past the last couple of weeks the Georgia Tech game of course and then in the bowl game but you know they're going to be tested you know that Virginia game that's just it's a rivalry game it's going to be one of those games but they down to tallahi a team in Florida State I know they lost a lot but they're also retooling as well in the portal the class that they've brought in they've they flipped a lot of commits Mike norell is doing a great job down there personally I can't stand Florida State that's just that's just me but man they are doing a great great job down there uh retooling that team and that roster and uh they're going to be pissed coming into this year they they're going to have something to prove and you know I I hate to know what that game's going to be like and Florida state has not been good to North Carolina I don't know what it is about m brown at Florida State played he played for him but for some reason when they show up into town they're knocking him out every single time so M Brown's got to get a little get back game here if he wants to achieve what he says he wants to achieve which is nine wins isn't enough if we're still holding that from last year which I'm assuming we should be especially with the hires you've done brought in and everything that's going to be a big time game and a game I'm probably going to favor Florida State more than likely in that game to say the least but um who knows who knows what that team our North Carolina team will look like at that time then in the bye you're probably going to need it because you're gonna be you know having two games back-to-back weeks that are high intensity and high emotional and you're GNA need a little break and then you kick in to the last three games you get a bye instead of playing Campbell you actually just get a bye week which I mean they kind of go hand inand but you have you risk of injury of one and your last three Wake Forest at Boston College at home NC State those three games you best beat Wake Forest you'd best beat Boston College and even though NC state has done a great job and again let me preface this I know I'm a North Carolina fan I hate NC State I hate them baby brother they piss me off when they talk they just they just talk too much man they talk more than Duke fans and that's saying something but you gotta win that game gotta win that game you have to there's no if ands buts questions about you got to win that game you can't let it go four straight not four straight not four straight years you cannot let that happen in your house the last time they're in your house they planted the flag in the middle of the field pissed me off made a cheesecake that night but still you have got to beat that team this year it's going to be a tough tough game because NC State and hate to give it to them but Dave dord they've created a really good ball Club over there and that's gonna be bad uh it's gonna be a hard game man that's gonna be a hard game to go there but um quick look at this schedule let's just do a quick little look here let's say and I'm just going to do it based off of the information I have right now I'm going to go straight down the list and I'm going to tell you what are wins and what are losses quick takes right here I want you guys if you're in the comments do the same as well as I'm going through there so Minnesota I'm gonna say a win gonna be tough but a good win there I like I I think the defense comes out with great pressure there potentially um I think you get get the win against Minnesota you come home you get the a win against Charlotte a win against NC Central a win against JMU going to be going to be fun we'll see um you go on the road to Duke you beat them you lose to pit WR your wrongs against Georgia Tech beat Georgia Tech go on your bye come out go down to Virginia beat them go to Tallahassee you lose that game a by we you win against Wake Forest you win against Boston College and this is the year you finally beat State again 10- two I say 10- two 10- two that that that achieves the goal right that achieves the goal I said pit your only losses in my season quote unquote are pit and uh Florida State let me know um Tar Hill Ron says we lose to pit uh Georgia Tech State and FSU o another eight and4 season boy that's tough um let me know down in the comments who you have losses there I've got the losses to um pit and state there but that should be I mean that's that's going to be it's it's it's a tough it's it's a tough little set there because you know at at Tallahassee they're on a roll man they they are on a roll they are getting it done that's for sure and um Allan says nine wins so I don't know where his losses are where his three losses are but he says nine wins and then I all I have right now but yeah it's a it's a it's a it's it's honestly a good schedule I like the schedule I don't think it's you know hard or anything of that nature know like last year the the conversation was um that Carolina and M Brown talked about this say oh it didn't do us any favors with the back three and uh I think the start of the Season he had an issue with but honestly in my opinion man this isn't a hard schedule really you gotta couple of hard games in there you know the Pittsburgh game that Florida State game State's going to be difficult Georgia Tech's just going to be difficult because it's Georgia Tech we'll see how Virginia goes but outside of that and Minnesota is a is some is an interesting one there just because you know last year we had an amazing amazing offense that just just destroyed them and our defense was stepping up I'm curious to see how the defense does again this year against them and I don't know who all they have coming in you know we was kind of able to get a little bit of a look before they came and I think it was week three against uh against Carolina but U it's going to be a fun fun season this year man I'm excited for all the newness that's happening and curious to see how this goes
