People can’t afford to sit on a waiting list for years in pain

I'm going to give you one stat right the last time there was a 5year plan we were told it would have cost a billion pounds the Health Service in that period got 137 million pounds to deal with waiting list that's nowhere near enough there isn't enough money in storment that's the first thing but let's just remember what we're actually talking about the health service has either collapsed or is at the point of collapse I know people in Dair who are going to the credit union to borrow money for simple procedures if you have uh uh suspected Alzheimer's in the western trust it takes 6 years to get a simple diagnosis for that this what are you doing about that then at Westminster as an MP what are you doing let me just explain even though we're in opposition these guys are all in government we are happy to work with everybody else because this is far too important but where are these decisions taken they're taken at Westminster we need to go with one single voice and ask the British government to properly fund this Health Service because it absolutely has collapsed we need a Marshall plan we need real leadership real resource and then we need to take some tough decisions get this done you've been there and you haven't been able to get money that's because we just spent the first five minutes squabbling about numbers we have to be together on this and I think we can act we can make a strong case to a new British government because otherwise this thing is going to fall completely and example the bottom line is we've had five years out of the last seven with the two largest parties collapsed St where no decisions were taken so the idea like I'm all for more fiscal Powers but how is anybody going to how the public going to trust us with that when they can't even commit to staying in government we are we L we the largest two parties in the first day would they both commit not to bring storman down again both of them refused
