WR fantasy football draft picks | ‘GMFB’

returns Sunday, September 8th on NFL network. All right folks, that is a scenic of New York. If you want to call the inside of a train station a scenic. It's beautiful inside of a train station. Absolutely beautiful. I had a scavenger hunt in there for my 40th birthday with all my friends, and we hired this company and ran all over looking for clues and stuff. It's an amazing, amazing place. It's not far from where I am right now, but my friends in Los Angeles are there next to SoFi Stadium, and we're going to come together to do the one thing that brings friends and enemies alike together. Each and every August fantasy drafts. And you guys are even there in like, the lounge and like, you're all ready. Your body language is all excited. Okay, so we're going to do a little twist, though, because time time was it would be all about running backs and fantasy. And you draft Steven Davis or Clinton Portis or Ricky Williams and they've had 400 carries and win your league. No no no wide receivers carry the day now. So we are going to now welcome you to the Good Morning football wide receiver. Only fantasy draft. Here's how it's going to work. We have four teams four managers owners amongst the four of us. We're going to have four rounds. We're going to snake draft 1234 and then 4321 back and forth for the four rounds, picking only wide receivers. And this is standard scoring. We're not going to get into the weeds with the PPR. Just standard scoring. Who's your guy. And guys the staff determine the draft order before the segment. I had nothing to do with that. I promise you can protest if you want, but the draft order will be Akbar Gbajabiamila, Jamie Erdahl, Tom Pelissero, then myself with the four pick and also the five. And then we will snake back. Does anybody there in the lounge have any questions with those pretend palm trees behind you? I know you're going to knock our palm trees. Don't get it stronger than the ones in L.A, no. All right. But, like, we got to make no question. I can't just sit in this chair and draft like I got to. For some reason, they put this panic button in front of me. This is very hard. It always feels like it's the best thing to have the first pick. But I'm stuck between Justin Jefferson right now and Tyreke you've had all day I know. But I'm going to go. This this actually is kind of a challenge because I put AJ Brown as a top five receiver several years ago on this show, and got a lot of flak when that was posted on social media. I'm a huge AJ Brown guy, but Justin Jefferson, regardless of who's throwing on the football, I'm not passing in a fantasy draft on the best receiver. Over the past several years in football. I saw him walking around in Cincinnati without pads on yesterday, and his head coach is getting grilled about his status. You know what I'm going to do, guys? I'm going to a little bit of a wild card. I'm going to draft Puka Nacua of the LA Rams. I'm taking Puka Nacua Kyle. That ends the first round. Just watch where I'm going. I got a plan. He's sitting there for me. I know I love my team. I am going to proclaim that now I love it. I was hoping nobody saw that. That's true. That's who I was going to take in that spot, man. Now, see, now you're getting into like the it's the older players. It's the mike Evans and the Davante Adams of the world. It's some of those ones that guys like Drake London who's in a new scheme now. Guys who aren't the number one option on their team like Jaylen Waddle.
