[Music] when fiction becomes reality May Whitman is going to be a mom yeah you know it's such an interesting concept on your leg the Parenthood star revealing she's expecting her first child in a sweet Mother's Day post where she reunites with her TV mom and brother Lauren Graham and Miles Heiser is it everyone's family oh boy oh dear this isn't about my heart condition is it I'm pregnant are you disappointed in me oh baby no oh the 35-year-old actress whose character Amber Holt had a pregnancy storyline on the belov sitcom writes alongside a carousel of snaps not to make a Parenthood episode out of it or anything but Mother's Day is looking a little different this year adding can't wait to meet you huge baby kicking my insid to filth it's exciting I mean it's kind of everything we hope for in the first photo Lauren and Miles Embrace may as she shows off her growing bump the post also including throwback picks from her character's pregnancy during the sixth and final season of the show it's so rare that you have the opportunity to watch a character grow especially in that age group I mean it's a very weird age to go from 16 to 21 you know it's like a so much happens within that time so to be able to really like you know I'm lucky to be on a show where they really try to do things accurately and represent things you know in a realistic way and I think that's why people really connect with it so for me it's really great to see her not only you know grow but actually mature and learn and take things with her you know and really like build a real person so I'm happy that she's like in a good place yeah the entire cast of Parenthood has kept in close contact since the show ended 8 years ago May and Lauren in particular letting fans in on their close bond in 2023 May honored her TV mom's birthday by sharing a sweet photo of them together writing Lord it was my best friend's birthday yesterday and nothing gives me more joy than celebrating her by eating rice krispies she made straight out of the pan with her bare hands I wish words could convey the depth of my love and gratitude for you but they can't so I'll do us both a favor and not try we I love you LG it's really cool it's also going to be really cool to see how their friendship continues to grow as May takes on motherhood
