what's up guys welcome to another video it's Richie J the football twin and this time we are talking about the UEFA Champions League the draw has just happened it's a brand new format many people are confused about what it's all about and what it entails but don't worry I got you covered make sure you stay tuned if you're not subscribed subscribe and let's go into the video so the new champions league has draw has just taken place and this time around they are lot of new changes many people don't like it but I'm here to explain it for you so first thing there are 36 teams in the previous times they are 32 next thing there's no group stage anymore so what there is there are four four ports each Port has nine teams and each team has to play each team plays two teams from each ports yeah and also that means that each team play is a total of eight matches so uh imagine imagine like eight matches a long time it was like each team plays total of three matches three different teams which was six matches now it's eight matches you only play them once and then the other thing is the and then there's a one there's something we call a league phase so right now we're in the league phase now the league phase it's it's like a one whole league of the 36 teams you'll see in the table so the top eight teams automatically qualify for the round of 16 yes for The Knockout stages while the middle teams which are number eight to number 24 which are 16 teams play a playoff after the league face is done the middle teams which is 9 to 24 play a playoff in which eight teams go through into now the round of 16 they join the other eight teams and then the number 25 to 36 are automatically eliminated so yeah it's it's it's crazy another thing Ronaldo got an award in this ceremony the draw ceremony uh being awarded the most uh Champions League goal scorer kudos to him he's a Mr Champions League probably the best Champions League player of all time so in some of the ports like for example in Port one uh we have Real Madrid uh Man City Bayern PSG Liverpool inter Dortmund leig and Barcelona so those are like the big teams so in Port one you'll see for example let me just give like a few examples Real Madrid will play Dortmund it's in the sequence of home now they play Dortmund Liverpool Milan Atlanta salsburg L stutgart and breast Man City have people are saying they have an easy one they'll play Inter Paris S Club Bru Juventus fard sporting CP Sparta Prague and brat Slava never had of that team before then for Bay and have interesting pictures like they'll play PSG Barcelona of course you know Bayern and Barcelona have great history uh Benfica Shaka uh Damo fod brav and Aston Villa so that's just an example of uh some of the port one teams uh the port two teams now include Bay lusen Atletico Madrid Atlanta Juventus Benfica Arsenal CL Bru Shaka and Milan uh the port three teams include F okay the ports go according to the best teams to the least best teams if that makes sense so Port three you'll find the teams like final sporting CP PSV uh Damo sburg Lia young boy Celtics so the lastly Port four has uh hey these teams they're like Europa League teams and Conference br brila silava Monaco Sparta praa Aston Villa bolog Girona stard stum grass and breast yeah so these matches each team will play eight matches in the league phas so it's going to be so entertaining it's a lot of matches and all that you'll see the graphics the different leagues and so tell me tell me your thoughts on the comments now who do you think is going to win the Champions League and who do you think is going to be eliminated for me I think a team like PSG I don't know they'll have it very tough because they as I'm seeing they have Man City they have B atletic Arsenal uh Jona so they might even not make the they might not make the top 24 anyway give me your thoughts who will win who will be the top scorer and yeah I hope you guys you've understood uh the new Champions League format it's going to be exciting so many games uh of course um people are not happy about it but change is the only thing that um is permanent I think that's as the saying goes so give me your thoughts and see you on another video
